Live on E! from the Pure Class Arena in Greenville, South Carolina
Introduction
Details: ‘Survival of the Sickest’ hits and the PCW Arena explodes with a volley of pyrotechnics and massive cheers from the fans. There isn’t a spare seat in the house and all in attendance are ready to see the final trauma before Deadly Intentions.
Jerry Andrews: Ladies and Gentlemen, we are just two weeks from Deadly Intentions and we have so many issues at boiling point and they could all explode tonight!
Al Laiman: That’s right, we are just two weeks away from the final of the Showtime Classic with several teams still in with a chance at the Tag Team Titles. Whitey Ford and Korey Kill move closer and closer to their inevitable showdown. And it’s a night of uneasy alliances, with Nacho Grande and Justin Kaard forced to team for the first time in months while Sean Rhodes and Kaijin Shinryu join with MONROE to face Areas, Grimm and Ace Anderson.
Jerry Andrews: What a night! And it’s time to get it underway!
MATCH ONE
Showtime Classic Tag Team Match
Heaven & Hell vs. Andy D & “The Sick” Korey Kill
Referee: Eddie Lane
Details: The team of Heaven & Hell is the first to make an appearance, but that is exactly what happens… ONE appearance. Pegasus walks onto the stage shaking his head disappointedly and walks to the ring to the cheers of the fans. As he climbs into the squared circle the fans expect him to wait for his partner’s music but instead Pegasus asks for a microphone. As ‘All I Need’ by Hymns of Eden fades out he stands in the middle of the ring and lifts the mic to his lips.
Pegs announces that earlier in the night he received a note from Murdoc, declaring that he and his associate Eira would not be present at tonight’s show with no explanation as to why. A boo rises throughout the arena and the feeling of abandonment from Pegasus is hard to avoid. He stares toward the back, then at the nearest camera, saying that he felt they had finally begun to build up some trust, but apparently that means nothing now. He will, however, do the right thing and face off against his opponents single-handed.
It is then that ‘Hypest Hype’ hits the PA System and Andy D walks out onto the stage. It fast becomes clear that he, too, has a message of bad news to deliver to the fans and his opponent. As his music cuts off Andy reveals that he is holding a mic and proceeds to use it. Andy states that since the previous Trauma nobody has been able to locate his partner, Korey Kill. With him not in the arena tonight, and Pegasus also lacking a partner, he has nothing to lose… the match will go on as a Singles match!
As the crowd cheers at the persistence of both competitors to continue despite their lack of help, Andy walks to the ring and gets ready for his new challenge.
Pegasus and Andy D shake hands in a sign of mutual respect, and the bell is rung, signaling the beginning of the match. The two men tie up cleanly in the middle of the ring, seemingly even matched for a moment. However Andy D gains the upper hand and plants his opponent on his face with a DDT. Andy goes for a quick pin, trying to end the match early. He is rewarded with only a one and a half, as Pegasus is quick to kick out.
Andy D pulls Pegasus to his feet, but he is quickly sent to the mat himself, as Pegasus lands a belly to belly suplex. As Andy D starts to rise, Pegasus bounces off the ropes, and on the rebound catches Andy D with a dropkick! He goes for a pin. 1...2., and Andy D kicks out, well before 3. Pegasus wants to put the match away and goes to the turnbuckle, but Andy is up too quick and he with a set of vicious rights, he brings Pegasus off the turnbuckle and manages to get up himself. Wrapping an arm around Pegasus' neck, he brings him down with a tornado DDT.
Andy D goes for the cover, seeing his opponent with his back on the mat. 1...2....NO! Pegasus manages to kick out. Andy D pulls Pegasus up to put him away, and Pegasus surprises him with a clothesline! He keeps running, rebounding off the ropes, and directly in a Dragon's Bite! The crowd is cheering for both superstars, some hoping Pegasus will rise, and others screaming for Andy to pin! The tired Andy D falls over the prone Pegasus and hooks a leg. 1....2.....3!
Winner: Andy D via Pinfall
MATCH TWO
Singles Match
Eira vs. Scythe w/Lucius Saint
Referee: Marcos Cruz
Details: The opening drumline to "Tactical Nuke" by The Acacia Strain echoes throughout the PCW Arena and the anxious fans turn their attention to the stage, curious about the unfamiliar entrance music. As the curtain moves, it quickly becomes apparent who they should be welcoming: the team of Scythe and Lucius Saint. The pair meet a lukewarm reaction, as no one is sure what to make of them yet. Many are already aware of Lucius Saint, but don’t approve of the attitude he displayed toward Eira during his PCW.com interview. On the other hand, some ware ready to see the in-ring debut of Scythe.
Once the down-tuned guitar kicks in, the two proceed down the ramp. Scythe leads the way, his cold eyes dead set on the ring ahead. Lucius merely smiles, and offers a few nods of acknowledgement to the fans surrounding him. Scythe quickly slides into the ring and hops to his feet. As he throws a few mock punches, Lucius motions to a stagehand for a microphone. Once he receives one, he ascends the steel steps and makes his way into the ring. "Tactical Nuke" fades out, and other than a bit of muttering, the PCW Arena is met with an eerie silence. Lucius clears his throat, and raises the microphone.
"My name is Lucius Saint...” he starts. “... and to my left is my associate, Scythe.” A look of disappointment and anger passes over the face of Saints as a ripple of boos passes over the crowd.
“You should all have been in for a treat tonight! It should have been an event of cataclysmic proportions! A night to remember, a night to share with your children! And in many years, a night that they would share with their children!" He lifted his free hand and motioned toward Scythe, who responded with a lightning-quick roundhouse kick.
Lucius continued, "Ladies and gentlemen, you should have been about to witness the in-ring debut of Scythe.” A sneer appears on the face of Saint of looks distinctly unimpressed at something. “You were to witness the beginning of the end times, starting with the one named Eira!”
A smattering of cheers rises in the arena but they are but off by Saint once more. “Alas, before Scythe has proved himself in a single match, he has scared this poor woman into a disappearing act. Eira is not in this arena tonight because she fears Scythe!”...
Winner: Scythe via forefeit
And the beat goes on...
Details: ...A larger boo begins to rises within the crowd, only fuelled by the next words of Lucius Saint. “Whilst this is mere testament to the power of Scythe, he is a man of action and he wants… no, demands a demonstration of his talents!”
Pointing up the ramp, Saint and Scythe now focus on the curtain. “I, Lucius Saint, demand that somebody come out here, this very second, to face my associate!” For a few moments all that can be heard or seen is a boo from the crowd. Finally the curtain rustles and out from the back comes…. Jackle and Menace, 2Guys!
The famous, or infamous, 2Guys are shoved out onto the stage reluctantly by a pair of stagehands and hesitantly look down to the ring and their prospective opponent. Both men begin to walk tentatively down to the ring as Saint exits, awaiting the beginning of the match.
MATCH THREE
Handicap Match
2Guys vs. Scythe w/Lucius Saint
Referee: Marcos Cruz
Details: Jackle and Menace climb inside the ring and motion to each other as if trying to formulate a plan. Menace nods in agreement to something as Marcos Cruz signals for the bell. As it rings, both of the 2Guys split up and move to either side of the large opponent. Scythe takes a deep breath and keeps an eye on both men who subsequently rush forward. Being that Menace is the faster man, he arrives first but is catapulted head-first into the abdomen of Jackle.
Pulling his head out of Jackle’s midsection, Menace turns and walks straight into powerful Thrust Spinebuster. Scythe doesn’t release though, and instead hauls Menace back into the air by the legs and drives him down with a shuddering Powerbomb. Finally recovering from the gut-shot, Jackle turns to square up to the muscular newcomer and isn’t too dissimilar in size. The deceptive speed of the debutant instantly overwhelms the blue haired member of 2Guys as Scythe hits a violent Roundhouse Kick to the head and locks in a Full Nelson. Before he can react, Jackle is thrown into the air and driven down with a brutal Full Nelson Slam.
Scythe gives a quick look toward his handler, Lucius Saint, at ringside who gives a nod back as if to order the kill. A look of fury and wrath enters the eye of Scythe as he grabs Jackle, pulling him off the mat and doing the same with a disoriented Menace. Placing both men in the middle of the ring, Scythe hits the ropes and rebounds with extreme velocity, slamming into both men with a gutwrenching Double Spear!
Placing one hand of both of his opponent’s chests, Scythe makes stereo covers and watches as Cruz counts One… Two… Three! Scythe rolls quickly from the ring, his task done and Saint looking pleased with the destruction caused.
Winner: Scythe via Pinfall
MATCH FOUR
Showtime Classic Tag Team Match
Los Amigos Dos vs. The Sea Men
Referee: Manny Cruz
Details: Each man, Nacho Grande, Justin Kaard, High Tide, and Jule Martins make their way down to the ring alone, not bothering to walk together with their respected tag team partner. The fans can tell that these two tag teams can’t stand each other, especially former friends Kaard and Nacho. Manny Cruz calls for the bell. By the look on the official’s face, he is in for a long match.
There is no strategy talked about between both teams, so Justin Kaard and High Tide decide to start the match. Being slightly smaller than his pirate opponent, Kaard shoots in, goes behind HT, and takes him down with a heel trip. Kaard then jumps into the air and does a double stomp across Tide’s back. Kaard stumbles into his corner where Nacho tags himself in. Both men trade looks of venom while Kaard goes into his corner.
Nacho Grande, being the masked hero that he is, claps his hands together, getting the crowd into it. Before he can get his attack, High Tide tags in Wasp, which Wasp speeds into the ring, throwing a barrage of punches, kicks, and other martial arts attacks. Grande takes a few shots, blocks a few, but a roundhouse kick to the cranium takes Grande down. Wasp goes for the cover, only scoring a two-count.
Wasp grabs a handful of…mask, and hauls Grande to his feet. A spinning back kick is administered, doubling the mask man over, and goes for a DDT. Wasp hooks the front face lock, but Grande recovers to counter with a Northern Lights Suplex. He doesn’t go for the pin.
Both men tag each other out. Back to the Canadian pirate and the Adrenaline King. High Tide gets a little big of paycheck after the double stomp to the back by kicking Kaard in the gut, doubling his opponent over. He goes for a Vertical Suplex, hangs him there for a moment, and dumps him on his head with a Brain Buster! High Tide goes to his corner, obviously going for his Man Overboard Frog Splash, but Wasp tags himself in and, for the hell of it, pushes High Tide into the barricade on the outside!
Of course, Wasp’s recent transgression is going to bite him in the ass. He goes for the cover, thinking he has a quick three-count, but Kaard has recovered enough to kick out at one. Wasp gets to his feet, grabs a handful of Kaard’s hair. He whips into the ropes, where Nacho is close enough to do a blind tag. Kaard goes low for a dropkick to the knee, dropping Wasp to one knee, and then delivers a Shining Wizard. Meanwhile, Nacho is positioning himself on the top rope, dives more than halfway across the ring to do his 2 AM Drive Thru, his patented Elbow Drop! It’s pretty academic from here, as Manny Cruz counts Wasp’s shoulders down for the three.
Winners: Los Amigos Dos via Pinfall
Kaard Games
Details: As High Tide and Wasp exit the ring, Referee Manny Cruz raises Nacho's arm in victory. He goes to raise Kaard's as well but the disgruntled youngster snatches it away. Cruz moves out of the way as Nacho turns a steely gaze towards his former friend. The two stare each other down before Kaard snaps the tension with a violent shove to Nacho. Nacho responds with a much stiffer shove, sending Kaard to the mat.
Nacho turns to leave the ring but Kaard springs up and charges. No stranger to sneak attacks, Nacho has it scouted and turns Kaards momentum against him, throwing him through the ropes and out of the ring. Kaard is quickly back up and just as quickly back down as Nacho dives through the ropes after him. The two men began brawling on the outside of the ring.
Stiff punches are exchanged with neither man relenting. But before too much damage can be done security rushes the ring with Beef Supreme, Quesa Dilla, and Zoey in hot pursuit. Security separates the two, forcing Nacho back towards the ring with his friends while forcing Kaard up the stage.
With blood dribbling from his mouth, Kaard's face is painted with a Sadistic-esque grin. Atop the stage, he pulls out a mic and begins to laugh.
"Look at you, you haven't changed one bit." Kaard mockingly applauds.
Nacho paces the ring, the tension palpable as Kaard continues his slow clap.
"You're still hiding behind your little friends and still taking credit for the work that I did. I do all the work and you swoop in for the pin and take the credit, probably another trick you picked up from Roth."
With another uncalled for dig at his best friend, Nacho charges towards the stage. Or at least he attempts to as his friends struggle to hold the fast food luchador back. This only eggs Kaard on more who begins laughing again.
"Rely on them while you can, Nacho. Deadly Intentions is just a few weeks away and unlike every other time, there won't be anyone to get in the way of our fight this time. Two weeks, Nacho. Two weeks until your little friends can't save you anymore."
MATCH FIVE
Non-Title Singles Match
Darren “The Bomber” Hughes vs. “THE Asshole” Whitey Ford (INT ©) w/MJ Windsor
Referee: Joseph Buckland
Details: “Pick up the Pizzas” hits and the crowd’s mixed reaction welcomes Darren Hughes to the stage as he dances expressively to the beat, all the while strumming in the air. Making his way down the stage, he attempts to engage the crowd and while some give in, others simply jeer directly into the man’s face. As he nears the ring “Critical Acclaim” begins to play as he looks back to see a sneering Whitey Ford staring him down with the International Championship around his waist. The crowd instantly turns, letting their hatred rain down upon the man as he arrogantly strides down the ramp. Taking a moment to slap a drink out of a fan’s hand, Whitey exchanges some word with the fan, and then Windsor, before making his way to the ring.
As Whitey enters the ring Joseph Buckland calls for the bell. Darren smirks, approaching Whitey and offering a handshake. Whitey eyes him before spitting in Hughes’ hand and stepping away, the two begin to circle before going for a lock up; Whitey throws out a gut kick to avoid the grapple and slaps the back of Darren’s head – Hughes instantly reacts! Lunging forward, he takes Whitey Ford to the ground with an explosive double leg takedown and begins to rain down rights and lefts on Ford, who simply covers up and struggles his way to the ropes. Windsor can be heard at ringside urging the referee to take action, which he soon does in the form of a five count. Darren stumbles away at four as the crowd roars for his attack on Ford.
Sliding out of the ring, Whitey approaches Windsor who seems to coach him on something but their moment doesn’t last long; Darren Hughes takes to the apron and waits for Ford to turn around, when Ford turns he is met with a running body check from a flying Hughes. Springing up, Hughes takes Whitey by his hair and tosses him under the bottom rope and goes for the pin…

Kick out!
Whitey scrambles to the ropes and watches as Hughes follow but is stopped by Buckland. The official moves and Whitey rushes forward. Crashing into Darren’s body, he clips him in the abdomen with a knee before stomping him down to the ground. Whitey hits the ropes and on the rebound catches Hughes across the jaw with a low-flying dropkick and a quick pin attempt…
1…
Kick out!
Whitey doesn’t let up, standing up quickly and stomping away at Hughes as he fights to his feet. Whitey attempts a headlock but Hughes is able to squirm out of. Pushing against Ford’s back, he tosses him into the ropes and on the rebound catches Ford with step-behind backbreaker over his knee. Whitey bounces off Darren’s knee in pain and before he can react he’s spun around and planted with a quick spike DDT. Darren for the cover…

Kick out!
Hughes drags Ford to his feet and levels him with a quick Russian leg sweep and another pin attempt…
1….
Kick out!
Hughes doesn’t let up, once again dragging Ford to his feet but it’s obvious that the International Champion has other plans. Hughes directs Whitey towards the corner only to be thrown head first into the top turnbuckle. Darren stumbles backwards and Whitey quickly capitalizes, running and jumping off of the middle turnbuckle and spinning around to catch Darren across the jawline with a flying gamengiri. Darren hits the mat and Whitey rolls and rushes for the cover…

2….
Kick out!
The crowd is behind the match, and Whitey has taken control. Darren’s up, stumbles, and is caught with an arm drag takeover. As he stumbles to his feet once more, he’s met with Whitey Ford’s relentless and calculated stomping. As Darren tries to get to his feet Ford stomps the back of his knees, as he tries to reach out for Ford he’s met with a stomp to his fingers, it isn’t until Bucklund steps in that Hughes gets to his feet. Whitey rushes in attempting to continue the beatdown but is pulled into a swinging neckbreaker that absolutely floors him. Hughes stands up swiftly, looking to the crowd he points to the ropes before jumping into the air and balancing on the middle rope. He begins to strum along as he panders to the ground before jumping back for the Knee drop and connecting! He goes for the pin…

2…
Kick out!
Darren looks to the ref with a look of frustration as Whitey Ford slips out of the ring again. Once more, he is tended to by Windsor as the referee begins the count. Darren stands, looks to the crowd, then the ropes, and quickly rushes forward. Diving over the top rope, he goes for a splash but Windsor steps into the way of it as Whitey jumps back. Darren stands up, looking rather surprised as he’s then met with a running Whitey Ford who spears him back first into the apron. Pulling back, he tackles him shoulder first into the apron again before tossing him beneath the bottom rope. Climbing to the apron, Whitey rushes to the top rope and hits quick 540 splash and goes for the cover.

Title Changes Hands
Details: Following the victory, Whitey moves to the ropes and motions for Michael J Windsor to join him. As his manager walks over to him at ringside, Ford motions toward the timekeeper’s table where his International Title is sitting and asks for it to be retrieved. MJW walks over to the table, smiling arrogantly at the crowd and motioning for them to applaud him before taking hold of the coveted title belt.
He begins to make his way back to the ring, strutting cockily with the title belt in his hands, but that strut is stunted very suddenly. Sliding out of the ring in front of him is the angered figure of Darren Hughes. For a moment there is no movement from the two men, then out of nowhere Bomber lands a right hand straight on the chin of Windsor, knocking him and the International Title Belt to the floor.
Ford looks on from inside the ring with an expression of shock as Hughes grabs the belt and takes off in the direction of the crowd and the nearest exit he can find. For a couple of seconds Whitey barely moves as the implications of what just happened settle in. Finally his synapses fire and the International Champion sets off in a not-so-hot pursuit of his title belt. By the time Ford reaches the security barrier, vaulting over the downed body of Windsor along the way, he looks up to find no sign of Hughes who has completely melted into the crowd.
Staring down at MJW, Ford questions what on earth happened and receives only a painful grumble in return. The show goes to a commercial break with Whitey unsure what to do now his precious title has been belt-napped.
MATCH SIX
Non-Title Six-Person Tag Team Match
Sean Rhodes (World ©); “Puro Power!” Kaijin Shinryu; MONROE (N.A. ©) vs. Areas; Ace Anderson; Grimm
Referee: AJ Bennett
Details: The first team out is that of Rhodes, Puro, and MONROE, and none of the men seem to be on the same page. While Puro and Rhodes look to have a sense of mutual respect, MONROE doesn’t seem to be too caught up with socializing with his partners. While the other two walk side-by-side, MONROE rushes forward all the while dragging the North American title behind him. Next out is the team of Ares, Grimm, and Ace Anderson. They have a similar setup, but instead it seems as though Areas is trying to force his views upon them during the entrance. Waving the American Flag proudly, he often gestures to his partners who seem to want little-to-nothing to do with the man. The two teams stand on the ramp, one at the foot and the other at the stage, and it looks as though all hell is about to break loose right at the start.
AJ Bennett quickly rushes to ringside and instructs both teams to their corner, Rhodes and Grimm start off the match as the bell rings. The two men circle before locking up and Grimm quickly gets the advantage, powerfully sweeping the heftier Rhodes off of his feet and down on to his back. Rhodes wastes little time in getting back up and colliding with Grimm as the two men exchange punches, neither seeming to give up ground. Areas has yet to take the apron, ranting and raving ringside while waiving the American Flag proudly in the air. Anderson doesn’t seem too pleased with his partners actions, but it hasn’t distracted him for carefully analyzing his opponents moves from the apron. Rhodes hits the ropes and is leveled by a clothesline from Grimm, standing up he’s met with a charging shoulder that ends in his team’s corner; Anderson quickly gets tagged in.
Ace drives a shoulder into the World Champion’s gut before lifting him up and slamming him down with a powerful lifting double leg. Upon impact, he instantly likes the side mount and begins to drive knees into Rhodes’ abdomen. Breaking the moment, he waits for Rhodes to struggle to his feet only to lift him up once more and slam him down, this time going for a cover…
1…
Kick out!
MONROE is watching from the apron, keenly observing the matchup all the while Shinryu is pacing back and forth, trying to cheer Rhodes back into the match. Anderson is systematically taking apart the midsection of Rhodes, catching a stuggling Rhodes in back mount position before heaving him back in a deadlift German Suplex directly into his team’s corner. He looks to see Areas still parading outside of the ring, so he tags back in Grimm. Taking Rhodes by the arm, he pulls him in for a short-arm clothesline but Rhodes ducks! Stepping under, he catches Grimm from behind with a Russian legsweep into the middle rope. He goes for a quick cover…
1….
Kick out!
Grimm powers out and Rhodes takes control. Striking away at Grimm, he attempts to drag his teams corner but as he goes for tag from MONROE the superstar simply steps off of the apron. Rhodes looks confused and in that moment Grimm reacts. Rushing forward, he lifts Rhodes up and drops him quickly in a spinebuster and goes for the pin.
1…
2…
Kick out!
Shinryu has stopped pacing and looks questioningly to MONROE, whose focus seems to be locked on the parading Areas ringside. Grimm begins to dissect Rhodes on the ground, stomping away in a calculated manner at the World Champion’s joints. After a moment or so, he drags Rhodes back to the corner for a tag to Anderson. Stepping into the ring, he instantly takes to the ground with Rhodes. Taking a top mount position before heaving him up and over with an exploder suplex with an instant pinfall attempt following…
1…
2…
Kick out!
Shinryu cheers on as Rhodes get to his feet and begins to fend off the attacks from the larger Anderson, who seems to want to eliminated as much space between himself and his competitor as he can. Instantly, using his large strides, he attempts to get in close to Non Compos Mentis but is met with a quick kenka kick before being hit in the abdomen with a running knee strike. Rhodes hit the ropes, going for a second knee strike, this time to Anderson’s head, but he is scouted. Anderson steps back, avoiding the knee, and catches Rhodes around the waist. He quickly lifts Rhodes up and takes him down with a belly-to-back slam before slipping around to the front and applying a headlock. Rhodes begins to throw blows, forcing the fight to their feet and quickly unleashes flurry of strikes before cutting Anderson down with several stiff knees to his gut.
He hits the ropes and goes for a lariat but is scouted once again, Anderson rushes in and catches Rhodes with a beautiful spinebuster. He goes for the pin…
1…
2…
Broken up!
Shinryu rushes into the ring to save his future opponent, but as he tries to aid in he’s met with a rushing Grimm – He hits The Harvest! Shinryu rolls out of the ring and Areas stands on the apron proudly waiving the American Flag and shouting at the downed Shinryu. Anderson seems to distracted and it allows Rhodes to recover. The fans begin to chant as they see Rhodes sizing up Anderson from behind, Grimm is on the outside making sure Shinryu doesn’t get involved and MONROE looks content to watch the shit storm take its course. Anderson turns around and catches the running Sean Rhodes across the abdomen with a boot. Rhodes hunches over and Anderson quickly sets up the powerbomb position and with a quick heave he has the World Champion in the air.
With an elevation lift he presses him higher before dropping him and catching him in the chest with his hands and hitting the devastating looking spinebuster. He looks to the ref before covering Rhodes…

MAIN EVENT
Showtime Classic Match
The Ascension vs. Crazy Muscles w/Miss Mandy
Referee: Steve Shaw
Details: The team of El Musculo and CB Smith make their way to the ring first, getting a good reaction from the crowd. The team has been hot as of late, definitely a favorite to win the Showtime Classic. They enter the ring after pandering to the fans a bit, just as the team of the Ascension walks out onto the stage, wasting no time heading to the ring. CB and Musculo talk strategy in the ring, as one could wonder if the two high flyers could be neutralized by the monster that is Machine.
The match is soon underway, with Machine starting off against El Musculo. The smaller lucha libre superstar darts around the ring, trying to find an opening, while the German Giant stalks slowly and steadily towards his opponent. A few kicks to the legs do little to halt the march of Machine, but Musculo lures the giant close enough to the ropes to attempt a springboard dropkick. The move connects, but there is little effect, and now Musculo is grounded. Before he can roll away, Machine grabs him by the feet and tosses him into the air, landing him flat on his back in the center of the ring. Musculo slowly gets to his feet, but is dropped again by a stiff big boot.
Usali is tagged in, and starts laying into Musculo with stomps to his legs and lower back, trying to slow any offense he may come across later by The Epitome of Aerial. Picking up Musculo by his head, Basilisk is met by a flurry of punches and kicks to the midsection and legs, followed by a high angle dropkick that takes him off his feet. Musculo hits the ropes, connecting with a couple of flying forearms before hitting a hurricanrana for a 1 count. Dragging Usali towards Crazy Boy, Musculo makes the tag and holds Usali in a pumphandle position to open up the ribs for a big knee by Smith. Another cover, another 1 count.
CB keeps the pressure on the cult leader, hitting a neckbreaker before tagging Musculo back in. Musculo shoots off the apron with a slingshot legdrop, and after another pin he only gets a 2 count. Musculo is looking to take the momentum and get a quick win here, and lifts Usali up on the top rope, preparing for a Frankensteiner! The crowd is on their feet, but Basilisk has other ideas, and begins laying into Musculo with headbuts, the ceremonial mask doing extra damage with each shot. The dazed Musculo falls from the second rope onto his back, and Usali readies himself on the top rope before hitting a big corkscrew splash!
1...2...and a close kickout from Musculo. Both men are dazed after the flurry of offense by both sides, and start to crawl to their respectful corners. Both tags are made, with CB being the more ready of the two, sprinting across the ring as Machine is just entering. CB uses the turnbuckle to reverse his momentum, lands on Machine's back...and applies the Crazy Nerve Hold! Machine looks confused for a moment, and then appears to actually be bothered by the hold, slapping wildly at CB's hand. Smith won't let go, however, no matter how hard the giant tries, so Machine does the only thing he can do...fall back into his corner. Usali opts not to make the tag, but instead kicks CB in the back of the head from the apron, using the ropes for extra leverage!
CB relinquishes the hold and falls off Machines back, propped up in the corner. Machine takes a few calculated steps back, and charges in for a big splash in the corner! CB falls to the canvas, holding his chest in pain. Machine drags him back to his feet, but clubs him right back down with one of his giant hands. Usali tags himself in, and the Grand Exalted One goes to work methodically, first attacking with a series of headbutts to CB while his arms are trapped, followed by a northern lights suplex! This earns him only a 2 count, but a close one. CB is dragged to his feet once more, and lifted up for a stalling brainbuster. However, just before Basilisk can drop, CB tilts his weight back towards the canvas while putting a spin on it, and hits a desperation tornado DDT! Once again, both teams are down and looking for a big tag.
Usali makes his tag first time time, and Machine is barely able to grab CB's leg before he can reach his corner. Machine swings for a clothesline that would have surely ended the match, but CB ducks and hits the ropes. Ducking another clothesline, he hits the ropes again, but this time Musculo makes the blind tag! On the rebound, CB hits a dropkick to Machines knee. This wobbles the German Giant, but it's the second dropkick from Musculo that drops him down to one knee! The team of Crazy Muscles then goes to work, hitting stereo kicks to the chest and back of Machine over and over, followed by both of them hitting shining wizards at the exact same time! The fans erupt as Machine falls flat on his back!
Crazy Boy Tyrone Smith goes up top, and launches himself off the ropes to connect with a 450 splash! Usali Basilisk is ready, as he didn't see the blind tag, coming in to level CB with a Crucifix Bomb! Thinking he neutralized the threat, Usali gets up onto to be met with an enziguri to the back of the head! Leaping to the top rope, sensing his opportunity to end the match, Musculo launches off and connects with the Torbellino! 3 seconds later, and this match is over!
Winners: Crazy Muscles via Pinfall
Mr Showtime’s Classic Finale
Details: El Musculo and Crazy Boy celebrate in the middle of the ring, knowing the final standings of the Showtime Classic Tournament. In total contrast to them, The Ascension look very defeated and unsure of exactly what will happen to their chances of the Tag Team Titles. Instead of the victors music playing, the sound over the PA System is that of ‘Gold on the Ceiling’ by The Black Keys. The crowd immediately recognises it as the music of Mr Showtime Michael Wryght and soon they receive a view of the man himself as he strides onto the stage.
All four men in the ring look up at him as he claps in appreciation of their efforts and the culmination of the Showtime Classic Round-Robin Phase. A smile moves over his face as he looks around at the PCW Faithful and lifts a microphone to his wisdom-laced lips.
Mr Showtime Michael Wryght: Wasn’t that a fantastic way to cap off the monumental first-ever Showtime Classic Tournament, ladies and gentlemen!?
The crowd responds with a very vocal cheer and applause of their own but even this doesn’t seem to lift the mood of The Ascension who remain sullen in their corner, or rather Usali as Machine remains motionless as normal.
Mr Showtime Michael Wryght: I want to offer my congratulations to El Musculo and Tyrone Smith. You are the first team to secure your place in the Finals to be held just two weeks away at Deadly Intentions. Good job guys, you certainly earned this opportunity!
Another chorus of cheers is offered by the PCW Faithful and the successful team raises their arms in thanks, clearly more than ready for their chance at the Tag Team Titles.
Mr Showtime Michael Wryght: But Usali and Machine, try not to get too down….
This lifts the head of Basilisk who is still moping in the corner, while Machine barely flickers a nose hair at the mention of his name. Mr Showtime notices this, but decided to continue talking anyway.
Mr Showtime Michael Wryght: Well, Usali, you try not to get too down, because due to Heaven & Hell’s loss earlier tonight we officially have a tie for second place in the rankings. And, by the ‘time-honoured’ rules of this prestigious tournament, that means BOTH teams progress to the finals.
The crowd immediately knows what this means and cheers wildly, while Crazy Muscles and Miss Mandy look rather confused at the unfolding events.
Mr Showtime Michael Wryght: That means that at Deadly Intentions it will be Crazy Muscles…. Versus The Ascension…. Versus Heaven & Hell in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match! Have a nice day folks!
With that Mr Showtime disappears behind the curtain and the fans erupt into another ovation. The cameras, however, focus not on them or the lightened spirit of Basilisk… but on Miss Mandy and her sour expression as she realises her team’s chances just took a massive hit. With her frown engulfing the screen, Trauma fades to black.
