I polished off Finders Keepers by Stephen King. Towards the end I thought it would going to end like Misery. It's pretty much Misery 2.0, but a great read nonetheless
Other books I've finished off this year... Off the top of my head
The Forgotten Room by Lincoln Child The Kraken Project by Douglas Preston Blood on Snow by Jo Nesbo
Going to start To Kill a Mockingbird tonight

A new edition of Ray Bradbury's "The Halloween Tree" comes out this week. This one is illustrated by Gris Grimly (check him out), and I'm very excited to get my hands on it.

The last book I read was Jane Lynch's autobiography. Happy Accidents. It was a very good read and very funny too.

I read a really awesome book (it's the first of a trilogy) and it's called "Hellhole." Was co-written? by the son of the guy who wrote Dune, and Kevin Anderson I want to say? I've seen his name around Star Wars books before. Really enjoyed it, it's Sci-Fi (and although I love some Sci-Fi I'm more of a Fantasy guy, but this book is seriously wicked.)

Ohhhh shit okay I got a list. Being that my job is overnight and my paperwork takes like one hour if that I have lots of time for both binge watching and reading. I'm addicted to Stephen King like books but here, off the top of my head is what I've read since 2017 up to now:
Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn
Mystic River by Dennis Lehane
I'm Thinking Of Ending Things by Ian Reid
End of Watch by Stephen King
Sleeping Beauties by Stephen King and Owen King
The Martian by Andy Weir
Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon
Asphalt Sketches by Ta-Nehisi Coates
Strange Weather by Joe Hill (Stephen King's son)
The Rot & Ruin series by Jonathan Maberry, starting with Rot & Ruin, Dust & Decay, Flesh & Bone, and Fire & Ash.
The Returned by Jason Mott
Meddling Kids by Edgar Cantero (seriously, if you like Stephen King-esque fiction, Scooby Doo, or the Lovecraft universe this book is amazing)
Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear by Elizabeth Gilbert
Our Numbered Days by Neil Hilborn
Pale Fire by Vladimir Nabokov (Blade Runner 2049 brought me here)
Positude Paramedic by Walter Dusseldorp
Sleeping Giants by Sylvain Neuvel
What Lies Beyond The Stars by Michael Goorjian (definitely pick up this book, it blew me away. Also this is the actor from SLC Punk)
Currently reading Eternity's Wheel by Neil Gaiman. Good stuff.

Yeah I never went into the competitive scene because of I have kids now and it was expensive to travel into the big city to do it (the two cities I lived in had 0/minor prescence) and I don't drive, but I love me some slam poetry. If you want to listen to someone who I think is really good at it, try and find some stuff by Shane Koyczan he was the guy who performed at the olympics when it was in Canada and the man just knows how to make you feel all sorts of feels with his words!
