PCW Trauma: 117
Tuesday, July 24th, 2012
Live on E! from the Pure Class Arena in Greenville, South Carolina
The Road To ‘Return To Glory’
Details: ‘Survival of the Sickest’ by Saliva greets the cameras as PCW Trauma 117 hits the airwaves. The PCW Faithful are in fine voice as the anticipation is rising for the upcoming PPV, Return To Glory. Moving down to ringside the cameras focus on Jerry Andrews and Al Laiman, waiting intently to get the show on the road.
Jerry Andrews: Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to Trauma 117 and we are just two weeks away from Return To Glory!
Al Laiman: That’s right Andrews, who knows what we’ll see tonight with some massive matches already set up for our next huge Pay Per View.
Jerry Andrews: We’ve known for some time that Sean Rhodes will be facing off against Lantlas for the PCW World Title, but numerous other matches have been announced. The AWAssholes have made enough of an impact to gain not one but two title matches. Monroe faces Andy D for the North American Title while a PCW-First sees Grimm and Usali Basilisk face MJ Windsor and Whitey Ford in a tag team match with the International Title on the line.
Al Laiman: And let’s not forget the return of a PCW Legend… Pegasus! The Winged Horse returns to a PCW ring in a Gauntlet Match alongside Kaijin Shinryu, Areas and PCW newcomers Darren Hughes and El Musculo for the Number One Contendership to the North American Title.
Jerry Andrews: There’s plenty more where they came from folks and who knows, maybe we’ll have even more matches created tonight!
MATCH ONE
Non-Title Tag Team Match
Lantlas (World ©) & "Puro Power!" Kaijin Shinryu vs. Sean Rhodes & Areas
Referee: AJ Bennett
Details: The lights dim, and 'Hells Bells' by AC/DC blares over the loudspeakers and the fans are on their feet for the opening match of Trauma. Sean Rhodes makes his way onto the stage as the lights come back on. He appears to be a man on a mission, giving stern but appreciative nods to the fans as he heads down to the ring and rolls under the bottom rope.
The fans really begin to cheer when purple smoke billows up from the stage, and the paroyd song "Eat it" begins to play. Areas shambles out onto the stage, taking a moment to survey the crowd before making his way down to the ring. Climbing up the ring steps to stand next to Non Compos Mentis, Areas gives his partner a nod before taking his place in his teams corner.
Shitataru Mouru by Dir En Grey is the next song played, and Kaijin Shinryu is out next. Shinryu can't take his eyes off Areas as he stalks down to the ring, pausing just long enough to kneel and pray halfway down the entrance ramp. Kaijin climbs into the ring and instantly wants to go after Areas, but the referee holds him back. Areas taunts Puro Power with insults. but makes no moves to engage.
The fans are really hyped up now, and the instant that Hans Zimmer's "Dream is Collapsing" plays over the PA they go absolutely nuts for the World Champion. Lantlas wastes no time getting to the ring, and quickly removes his armor and weapons to give to the ring attendant.
The bell rings, and Kaijin isn't moving, so Lantlas gladly takes to the ring apron. Rhodes takes the apron too, leaving Areas and Puro Power in the ring together. The two circle each other, gauging the others strenghts...before Areas quickly tags out to Rhodes. The fans boo, but Rhodes doesn't seem to care who fights first, and charges right into a big lariat from Puro Power. Rhodes pops back up only to be met with a pair of big chops, followed by a big hip toss that segways into a standing armlock.
Rhodes quickly fights out of the hold, blasting away at Puro with big right hands. Non Compos Mentis hits the ropes and missings a clothesline of his own, but as Puro comes back at him he connects with a giant knee to the midsection. Shinryu is doubled over, and Rhodes hits an Evenflow DDT out of nowhere for a 2 count.
Areas is on the apron, screaming for the tag, and Rhodes reluctantly gives it to him. Areas starts working over Puro with stomps and knees to the stomach and back, before picking him up for a snap suplex that only gets a 1 count. Frustrated at losing some of the momentum, Areas hits one more big kick to the stomach of Puro to get him onto his back, and attempts a Lionsault. Puro rolls out of the way at the last second, leaving Areas to land hard on the mat. Puro makes the tag, and the Elven Warrior hits the ring with a mission.
Areas is met with a japenese armdrag, followed by a dragon screw that sends him whirling around the ring. He looks to make a tag, but is too far away from his corner and instead gets taken down with a drop toe hold thats followed up with a standing double stomp from Lantlas across his back. Lantlas picks up the big man and attempts to drag him over to his teams corner, but Areas fights back with big punches. A spinning backfist attempt is ducked by the World Champion, who comes back with a big elbow to the skull. Lantlas makes the tag to Puro, who's chomping at the bit for a chance to get into the ring with Areas.
His excitement is short lived, as Areas catches him with a quick headbutt as he enters the ring, and quickly tags out to his partner. Rhodes enters the ring with abandon, connecting right away with a Yakuza kick, mounting Puro afterwards to rain down some heavy hands. Puro tries for an armbar attempt, but Rhodes shakes it off and continues punching away before the referee calls for the break. Rhodes lets Puro get to his feet only to take him down with a quick scoop slam for a nearfall. Rhodes with a flurry of elbows to the downed Shinryu, which also gets a nearfall.
Rhodes appears to be ready to end it, giving a long look at Lantlas before picking up Kaijin onto his shoulders for what might have been a TKO attempt, but Puro fights out of it with a few well placed elbows and reverses the move into a big O Soto Gari! Both men are down, and making the crawl to their respective corners. The fans are egging both men on, split on who to cheer for. The hot tag is made to both Areas and Lantlas.
Lantlas ducks a clothesline and hits a quick side kick to Areas midsection, followed by a snapmare and a big kick to the back. Lantlas attempts to do the same thing to Areas' skull, but the latter catches the Elven Warriors foot and springs up with amazing agility for a man of his size to connect with a German Suplex! Areas drags Lantlas to his corner and appears to be getting ready for the impressive Pheonix Splash, but Lantlas fights back, leaping up with a roundhouse kick to Areas' skull. Sean Rhodes makes a blind tag to Areas right before Lantlas whips the big man into a corner on the other side of the ring.
Lantlas attempts a spear on Areas, who's resting against the turnbuckles, but the move backfires and Areas moves! Lantlas connects squarely with the turnbuckle on his injured shoulder. Areas pulls Lantlas from the turnbuckle and snapmares him into a sitting position before surprising Kaijin Shinryu with a big forearm shot that knocks him off the apron.
Rhodes, the legal man, hits the ropes and connects with the Psychotic Break to an already dazed Lantlas. He covers, and gets the 3 count!
Winners: Sean Rhodes and Areas via Pinfall
Respect…
Details: The crowd erupts at the upset victory that has been achieved over the PCW World Champion as ‘Hells Bell’ begins to play over the PA system. Even Rhodes seems unsure what to make of the win as he gets back to his feet and looks down at the fallen Champion who he will face again in just two weeks with the Title on the line. There seems to be a look of knowing in his eyes that if he can achieve another pinfall like that in two weeks, he will be the new World Champion.
As the win sinks in, Rhodes walks into the middle of the ring where the downed Lantlas is still trying to recover. A feeling of trepidation moves around the crowd as they are unsure what the notoriously unpredictable ‘Non Compos Mentis’ will do, even as he reaches down to the Warrior Elf. Just as it seems he’s going to attack the Champion, Rhodes takes hold of Lantlas’ injured arm and positions himself almost as a crutch, supporting his rival until he reaches his feet.
Lantlas appears shocked at the actions of his number one contender but can’t deny the help. Finally he finds the energy to push away and stand on his own while referee Bennett waits at the side to hand over the World Title belt to its owner. The referee moves in to hand over the belt but is stopped again by Rhodes who takes it out of his hands before he has the chance.
A short boo moves around the arena while the PCW legend stares on with a mixed appearance of confusion and annoyance at the interloper holding his title. Rhodes himself stares down at the belt, taking in the feeling of holding the gold, knowing that Lantlas would be helpless if he chose to bash him around the noggin with it right this moment.
Tension grows until a choice has to be made… and Rhodes hands over the belt to his opponent at Return To Glory. Rhodes seems to say something to the Champion as he begins to move to the ropes, pointing at the belt and then its holder before exiting the ring altogether. Lantlas looks up the ramp calmly and clutches the title close as Rhodes makes his way toward the back and….
…and Lack Thereof
Details: …. A video appears on the Tron, following the other two members of the previous match. A furious Areas is seen hammering blows into the downed Kaijin Shinryu somewhere in the backstage area. Nobody is around to help as the former North American Champion hits punch after punch while reciting the letters “U… S…. A!” individually after each hit.
After a few uncomfortable moments of the brutal mockery, Areas withdraws and begins to look around for something. The break seems to give Puro Power a moment to recover and he finds his feet again with the aid of the wall… only to receive another blow with something metallic in the hand of Areas. The camera focuses in on the object and sees that it is a now-dented spraypaint can.
With Shinryu lying motionless on the ground, Areas takes the can and begins to spray something straight across the back of his bitter enemy. In three swift motions he’s done and proceeds to lean right down over the head of Puro before shouting blatantly in his ear, “U…. S…. A!”
Done with his insults, Areas leaves the shot and the camera focuses on the back of the downed Japanese competitor, marked permanently with those same three letters.
MATCH TWO
Singles Match
Justin "Stormm" Michaels vs. Darren "The Bomber" Hughes
Referee: Steve Shaw
Details: We return from commercial breakwith PCW’s newest superstar, Darren Hughes, already in the ring waiting. He doesn’t have to wait for long, as the arena is engulfed by darkness as the light quickly drops. As soon as the orange glow becomes evident, the crowd’s reaction goes from that of confused to mixed, as they’re well aware of who is coming out. They lyrics continue as soon enough Justin Michaels hits the stage. He pauses, taking it all in, before making his way to the ring. Darren Hughes doesn’t seem to be intimidated in the slightest, continuing to bounce around as he warms himself up. As Justin takes to the ropes, he shots a glance at his opponent, before climbing into the ring and readying himself as well. With that, the match is underway.
Justin shows a significant size advantage in the lockup, pulling Darren into a headlock and bullying him around the center of the ring. It doesn’t last long, as Darren quickly performs a rather athletic roll out of the hold. As Justin turns around, he’s met with a kick to the gut before being pulled into a headlock which is quickly transitioned over into a takedown. Justin looks almost surprised by his opponent, but just as quickly, he kips up and out of the hold. Taking to his feet and performing a quick fireman’s carry to the rising Darren, but he counters! Rolling off Justin’s shoulders for the fireman’s carry, he over rotates his body and lands on his feet. Stunned, Justin rushes forward and is caught by a fireman’s carry, but he to counters it!
The larger man, instead of rolling through, catches Darren’s head while being floated over. Whipping his legs around, he wrenches backwards hitting a brutal looking deadlift snap suplex. The crowd seems into it, as Michael’s gets a one count. This is where his experience kicks in, as he stays on the attack of the newcomer, but it doesn’t last long as Darren Hughes definitely looks as though he’s trying to make a showing in this match. As Michaels goes for a rather large dropkick, Darren decides to show some mat wrestling of his own. As Justin goes up, Darren goes under! Missing the dropkick, as he’s coming down he’s caught by Hughes and floated over into a hooked powerslam, getting a fast one count from referee Steve Shaw.
Bouncing to his feet, Justin rushes into Darren who hits a quick hip toss. Wasting little time, he follows the toss up with a solid leg drop across Justin’s neck. Hitting the ropes, off the rebound he’s caught by a rushing Justin who slips behind him and hits an absolutely beautiful german suplex bridge which see’s him get a one count. With Hughes on his feet once more, he goes for a second but is countered! Hooking his leg around Stormm’s he avoids the suplex and has the time to slip behind Justin. He goes for a german, but he is also stopped. Michaels uses his size to keep himself from being lifted, throwing his left arm up and over, he takes Hughes by the head and floats him over into a headlock take over, but Hughes is ready!
He slips out of Justin’s grasp and lands on his feet, hitting the ropes he comes back and is quite by Michaels who attempts to redirect his momentum in the corner, but Hughes as other plans. Hooking ones of Justin’s arms, he’s quick to roll him through and down to the ground with a swinging neckbreaker out of nowhere, it’s good for a two count, and it seems as though Justin Michaels is thoroughly surprised by his opponent. Fighting to his feet, Justin quickly begins to direct Hughes into the corner. As the referee comes to separate the two, looking as though he’s expecting some mouth from Stormm, he’s surprised by a clean break from the superstar. Stepping away, he allows Hughes to get his composure, and the two circle in the center of the ring once again.
This is when the experience of Michaels really seems to show through. While Hughes seems to genuinely want to take the match to the ground, Justin uses his size and technique to keep things on his level. As Hughes goes for a takedown, Justin steps over the leg and counters with his own takedown. Before Hughes is able to get to his feet, Michaels is quick to apply a sleeper hold, but Hughes struggles out quickly. Rushing into storm again, he is met by quick back body drop from the man, who is quick to apply a grounded sleeper once again. Hughes fights to the ropes, and before the referee can even get to a one count Justin releases the hold. Stepping back, he waits for Hughes to react, and he doesn’t have to wait for long.
Hughes comes in with a hard kick to the abdomen, and follows with a series of other shooto style blows. With a quick sweep, he drops Justin to the ground and wastes little time taking to the middle rope. He begins to dance and sway, while doing an air guitar. Rather quickly he springboards off into a flip, coming down with his knees but Justin is gone! Rolling to his feet, he looks forward and is caught with a kick from Justin Michaels; he’s going for the Force of Nature. Lifting Hughes, he’s caught by surprise as Hughes drops down a series of knees into Justin’s forehead. Staggering momentarily, he loses his grasp of Hughes. Slipping out, he steps in and looks to be going for a hard and fast DDT, but Justin is ready, and quickly reacts.
Rushing into the ropes, he pushes Hughes against and looks to send him to the opposite ones – but he pulls him back – quickly, he snaps the main into the air, hooking his leg, and spinning before dropping him down on his neck and instantly rolling through for a pinfall, getting a solid three count. Breaking the pin, he looks genuinely taken back after the show from Darren Hughes and he’s left looking on as he collects himself, unsure what to think of what just happened.
Winner: Justin Michaels via Pinfall
Cogs of the Machine
Details: With the match over, Stormm climbs back to his feet and has his hand raised by referee Steve Shaw. Even as his hand is in the air, though, Stormm looks unsure about his superiority and pulls it down. Struggling to get to his feet on the other side of the ring is Hughes who finally manages it with help from the ropes. The crowd give the newcomer a respectful round of applause for his courageous effort, but Stormm still doesn’t seem satisfied. Walking across the ring, Stormm closes in on ‘The Bomber’ who instinctively braces for some kind of attack. The fans do too as they seem him get within feet and then… offer his hand?
Graciously, Hughes accepts the handshake and the respectful action of his opponent before Stormm leaves the ring to the newcomer in yet another uncharacteristic show of admiration. Making his way up the ramp, Michaels has a smile on his face but it’s soon wiped off as a huge figure walks out from the back.
Machine strides out alongside his master Usali Basilisk in preparation for his upcoming match against Whitey Ford. Even as he does, Stormm stares down the German Robot who seems to barely pay attention to anything around him. It’s clear to all that he’s only there to back up Basilisk. After their encounter on the last Trauma, Stormm appears to have something on his mind and he’s intent to impress it on Machine. In order to do this, Michaels changes direction and stands directly in front of Machine, stopping even the Giant Germanic Grunt in his tracks.
Not bothering to worry about his bodyguard, Usali continues to the ring while Stormm looks to be saying something to his less than interested counterpart. The cameras get close enough to hear Stormm apologising to Machine for the events of the last show and even extends a hand again. Sadly the cameras are also close enough to see Machine’s eyes focused entirely on the ring. Left disappointed by this reaction, Stormm sighs and walks past Machine.
Just as Stormm is about to disappear into the back, two more figures blast through the curtain and immediately set upon the giant. In the middle of the melee the faces of Gregory Kennedy and Jake Andrews can be seen as they apparently try to take out the bodyguard of their stablemate’s opponent to even the odds. Blows pile down on the back of Machine who is going down inch by inch but not fighting back. Eventually the two AWAssholes get Machine down to his knees until Kennedy is yanked backwards.
Receiving a salvo of blows to the head, Kennedy is forced backward by a resurgent Justin Michaels who can’t bear to see Machine beaten on for much longer. Andrews turns to join ‘Ripper’ in attacking Stormm and soon the numbers game takes its toll on Michaels.
Finally Machine sparks into life and climbs back to his feet, turning to find both men grinding down his pay-per-view opponent. Unsure exactly what to do, or even waiting for an order, Machine waits as Andrews turns back around to see him waiting. The AWA member tries to attack with a punch only for Machine to catch it and… bite his nose in a scene of brutality not seen since the days of Billy Sadistic!
Andrews recoils in horror but walks straight into a hard elbow to the head. The same treatment meets Kennedy and both men turn into a double headlock from Machine who suddenly and violently drives them down with stereo, sickening, sadistic DDTs on the stage. The crowd are almost in shock as Machine gets to his feet and stares at Stormm for a moment. Neither man knows what to make of the situation, but an air of gratitude seems to hang between the two. Finally Machine reaches out with a massive hand and pats Michaels on the chest before… is that a smile? Stormm believes is just as little as everyone else and needs a double take to make sure he’s seeing it right. Just as he finally focuses on the expression, Machine goes dead and ‘boots down’ into a deep sleep , leaving Stormm wondering.
Sacred My AWAss
Details: "Critical Acclaim" comes over the loudspeaker, and Whitey Ford walks out onto the stage with a cocky gait, holding his arms out for the world to see him in his entirety. The fans are booing him without any remorse, knowing that he has no love lost for them either. Ford teases on walking down the entrance ramp, even waving at the motionless figure of Machine to check he’s not going to do anything hasty, but stops and smiles a knowing grin. The bodies of Kennedy and Andrews have been cleared off the stage but still the giant German is immovable. Pulling a microphone from his back pocket, Whitey waits for his music to stop. The fans are confused, and Usali waits patiently in the ring. Whitey rests an elbow on Machine and nonchalantly begins to speak.
Whitey Ford: Well, well, well...I see what the higher ups did here. They booked me against Usali Basilisk, thinking I wouldn't notice the obvious disadvantage I have here. Lets not get carried away, though, I'm not admitting he's a better wrestler or even a better manipulator. He has to poison people to get them to do what he wants. I just fucking tell people what to do, and they DO IT!
A chorus of boos from the fans follows, and Usali stands unmoving in the ring still, waiting to see where Ford is going with this.
Whitey Ford: I’m not even talking about this useless lump. What I am talking about is that ceremonial metal mask you wear so proudly! That, my friend, is an illegal object. I am at an unfair advantage. If I beat you with a stop sign or a steel chair, you get the DQ win. If you headbutt me with a piece of metal, the match continues! Bull...SHIT! What I demand is that you take off that mask so its a fair match, and you get beaten like the chump you are. I refuse to compete in a match where I am at such a blatant disadvantage.
Basilisk stands in the ring shaking his head, and the fans are voicing their disapproval as well. A stagehand climbs up onto the stage and whispers something in Fords' ear.
Whitey Ford: What? Fuck that. Religious belief that he gets to wear the mask during a match? Jake Andrews is a catholic priest in his off time, and we don't let him bring small children to the ring! Tell you what, Usali, you should be happy to get the no contest decision. If I were to get into that ring with you...it'd be something akin to murder. See you around, you cheating bastard.
Ford turns around to leave, when the surprising image of Captain Walker emerges on the Tron. Almost paying no mind, Ford is about to walk off the stage when his ears are bombarded by the voice of the Cap’n.
Captain Walker: Whitey, you walk off dat der stage and not only will you be forfeiting dis here match, but you gunna forfeit your chance at de International Title at Return to Glory! Make yer choice, boy!
Whitey Ford looks livid at the ruling by the President and visibly looks to be weighing up his options. Finally his selfishness and lust for gold takes over and he makes his way down the ramp to a massive chorus of boos. As he does, Trauma goes to a break.
MATCH THREE
Singles Match
Usali Basilisk [w/Machine] vs. Whitey Ford
Referee: Eddie Lane
Details: Back from the break, Trauma comes to the ring to find both men already circling. Noticably absent from ringside is Machine who has been lifted and carried from ringside by the entirety of Dave Brandt’s security team. The bell sounds, and the match quickly starts up. They circle, with Whitey throwing insults before the lockup. While Usali seems to have a barely noticeable bulk advantage, the men otherwise seem to be completely even; a lockup, followed by a snapmare from Whitey who quickly follows it up with a kick to the back of Usali’s head. With a quick snerk, Whitey backs up and starts to circle the masked man. Usali wastes no time in getting back up to his feet and engaging him, and after a quick back and forth the AWA superstar has the advantage once more.
With another snapmare, he goes for a kick, but Usali knows it’s coming. Laying flat on his back, he avoids the kick, and with the miss he quickly kips up to his feet and hits Whitey with a beautiful vertical dropkick. Quick pin attempt, followed with Usali jumping and hitting a high leg clothesline for another near one count. Both men seem to have a similar style, but Whitey comes off a bit more technically sound than The Exalted One. As the two continue to go back and forth during the opening, Whitey seems to take every advantage he can. While not overtly cheating, it’s quite obvious he’s a man who knows how to work inside the rules, while bending them.
As the two go back and forth, eventually they end up in the corner. As the referee isn’t far behind, Whitey unloads a number of shots while waiting exactly until the five count to break away. As he steps back, Usali rushes forward and is met with a quick arm drag. Rolling to his feet, he meets a running Whitey with an arm drag of his own. With Whitey back on his feet, Usali charges but Whitey catches him. Lifting him into the air, with a quick pivot of his hips, he hits a hard spinebuster and is quick into the cover. A hard kick out from Usali, but Whitey stays on the offense. Dragging Usali to his feet via a headlock, he quickly rolls the man on to the ground.
Releasing, he drops a hard stomp on the man’s mask. Before hitting the ropes, looking for a springboard moonsault and missing. Usali rolls out of the way, and as Whitey lands on his feet he is met with lightning-fast flying forearm that drops him to the mat like a sack of potatoes. Getting to his feet quickly, he is met with another flying forearm from Usali. As Whitey gets to his feet, Usali takes him by the arm and quickly sends the AWA superstar into the far ropes as if to setup something. Hitting the opposite ropes, he meets Whitey in the dead center of the ring and nearly knocks the man’s head off with a crazy flying back elbow.
Rolling off of the momentum of the blow, he hits the ropes once more, but Whitey is ready. Jumping over Usali, he turns to see him rebounding and this time goes under him. With Usali’s second rebound he hits HUGE european uppercut and goes for the cover. A two and Usali kicks out, Whitey attempts to take back control, but Usali seems to have gotten a second wind. He hits a series of headbutts on Whitey, before hitting him with a hard european uppercut of his own – the spinning variety – catching Whitey from behind he thrusts him chest first into the corner. Wildly, he runs off the mild ropes, catching Whitey on the rebound with a crazy tornado DDT.
With a cover, he gets a near three count before Whitey kicks out. The two exchange a wide variety of blows, kicks, elbows, punchs, before Whitey drives his foot into Usali’s gut. Doubling the man over, he wastes no time in taking to the air, spinning mid rotation he drives the back of his foot into the back of Usali’s head, dropping him down in a move he calls the ‘Hang over from Hell’, and quickly follows up the move with a pin. Much like the pin attempt minutes ago, he gets a near three count. Whitey looks absolutely exasperated as both men have seemingly given it their all, Whitey drags Usali to his feet only to be caught with a lightning fast hurricanrana pin combination.
A quick two, and Whitey springs out but stumbles into another one. With another quick two, Whitey rolls out of the move looking rather flustered. Usali hits the ropes, and that’s when the tide turns. With Eddie lane out of place, Whitey takes advantage. As Usali goes another hurricanrana, Whitey is ready. Back stepping the move, he rushes in and rakes his forearm across the match. Throwing a kick to Usali’s got, he pulls the man back into a powerbomb setup before throwing him up into a highcross. Turning towards the center of the ring, he throws the man up and over before driving him down on the top of his head.
Eddie Lane hits the mat, almost preemptively, and as Whitey covers Usali following the move the three count comes just as quickly, if not quicker, than the impact of the innovative piledriver.
Winner: Whitey Ford via Pinfall
Gathering Qi
Details: A tall, bulky individual, who can easily pass as a member of the Yakuza, or a sharp-dressed business man of Japanese origin, is seen wandering around backstage. He is dressed in a tailored black suit and, on his face, a pair of Aviator sunglasses. His black hair is wavy and thick, just covering his ears. When he removes his sunglasses, those tired eyes reveal him as none other than Tanaka Shinichiro or, in the wrestling circle and by smart marks, Old Man Tanaka. He is called Old Man Tanaka because, well…he’s old, especially for the sport of professional wrestling. He is in his early sixties and has been apart of the wrestling business since 1973.
He stops in front of “Puro Power!” Kaijin Shinryu’s locker room door. He raps sharply, waiting for a response. He gets one after mere moments.
Kaijin Shinryu: Enter!
Tanaka lets himself into Shinryu’s locker room. Shinryu is sitting at a table, drinking sake to calm his nerves while placing an icepack over his head. Slowly he lifts his damaged cranium to see his visitor.
Kaijin Shinryu: Tanaka-Sensei…
He slowly bows, too fast at first as his head fires with agony. Tanaka returns his bow respectfully.
Tanaka: It has been a long time, my favorite student.
Kaijin Shinryu: It has, Sensei, but what brings you here… now?
Tanaka: As I understand it, you have challenged one Christopher Areas to a Japanese Death Match. I was afraid that he was going to enter your head and live rent free in it.
Shinryu gives his sensei a look of disgust, then looks away, struggling to maintain his focus and also hide the effects of earlier in the night by covering his back. The Old Man isn’t fooled though as he steps calmly around the seated Puro Power who can barely move.
Shinryu: He hasn’t gotten into my head. You must be mistaken.
Seeing the slightly worn, yet still very clear letters “U… S… A” painted across the back of his former student, Tanaka gives a slight tut of disappointment and speaks.
Tanaka: Oh but I am not mistaken, Ryuta. Your challenge only fuels your hatred toward him. And yes, I understand where you are coming from, my young student. But you have turned away from your death match ways. Coming back to them, however…I know what will happen.
Summoning all his strength, Shinryu turns to meet the gaze of his former master. There is an anger in his eyes, whether he will admit it or not.
Tanaka: As your sensei…as your friend, I highly recommend that you retract your death match challenge. You will not be of use to your wife and daughter if you are crippled. Heed my advice Ryuta, for it will keep your career—and your life—prosperous.
With that, Tanaka lays a hand on the shoulder of Shinryu, deliberately on the emblazoned mockery written across his back. He quietly slips out of Shinryu’s locker room, leaving Shinryu to think about his master's words and how Areas had already left his mark, how many more would be added in a deathmatch?
A Shane Dodge Exclusive
Details: Congratulations had been given, but yet they had not been deserved – not by his standards – he had done nothing noteworthy, in his own mind. Popular opinion was that his draw against Lantlas was a strong showing, but at the end of the day his opinion was all that really mattered. He could feel his insides twisting and churning with a seething anxiety, as once more he was set for an interview with Dodge, and truth be told, it was something he wasn’t in the mood for.
Shane Dodge: “I’m here with a man who, arguably, made one of the biggest singles debuts in PCW history. He not only took on World Heavyweight Champion Lantlas, but despite all odds, he was able to fight him to a draw. Ladies and Gentlemen, AWA superstar MONROE”
Looking displeased with the introduction, but nonetheless a soft smirk pulled at his lips. Surprisingly enough he was not wearing his ring-gear, which was rather odd seeing as though the main event was right around the corner. Shane was just as lively as he had been with their last interview, and was quick to jump into the deep end.
Shane Dodge: “At Trauma, you surprised a lot of people with your draw with Lantlas, and at the Pay-Per-View you have a chance to take home the gold to the AWAssholes, your thoughts on this?”
The camera panned, focusing on both men, but MONROE didn’t seem to be jumping enthusiastically to answer the question. Shane Dodge pressed on after a few moments of silence, not seeming to be too keen on the superstar’s silence, but as he attempted to speak once amore, he was halted by strong sway to the face from MONROE.
MONROE: “I’m sorry, but if I wanted to be asked stupid questions, I think I would have given an exclusive directly to E! I don’t think this looks like their studios…”
The expression on Shane’s face was that of utter disbelief more than it was of shock. As he tried to compose himself, he was once again hit with a swift right-handed blow to his face, this one sending him down to a single knee.
MONROE: “That looks like it hurt, and that’s why I like it. That’s why I like you, Shane…”
He spoke slowly, barely above a whisper. His words were meticulous spoken, and they were laced with a poisonous aggression that seemed to drip off of each and every syllable. He placed his right hand firmly on Shane’s jaw line, forcing the man’s gaze to meet his own.
MONROE: “I get it; you’re trying to get your name out there! You’re trying to get the scoop. So I’ll give it to you, okay?”
Smiling in a an eerie manner, almost too sincerely as he gazed into the eyes of a man who seemed unsure of, exactly, what was going on. The smile quickly faded, and an expression of utter annoyance replaced it.
MONROE: “A Trauma, a point was proven; not my point, mind you, but a point nonetheless: I am not someone to be taken lightly. I didn’t need to win to make waves, I simply needed to survive. Not only did I survive, but I made a statement. Nobody gave me a chance in that match, so I took it. When I was in CWA, I was never given a chance. I was viewed as a nobody with a lot of spunk, until I took the chance away from my partner, and I got my hands on the TVX title. Guys like Windsor didn’t give me a single thought back in those days, and now I’m the strength behind their movement.”
Pausing for a moment, he basked in the radiance of his own ego, soon enough Shane’s focus was returning to him. It was then that he released his chin, only to slap him lightly across the face, and once more align the man’s gaze, forcefully, with his own.
MONROE: “Let’s get one thing straight, despite the fact the fact that everyone thought that Lantlas would destroy me, he didn’t. Despite the fact that the PCW roster seems to think we’re a passing phase, we won’t be. Despite all odds, here I stand as a man who didn’t bow down to the opinion of those around me. Hell, to your opinion.”
Leaning over Shane’s body, he struck out at the man one more and watched as he sank from the blow. He could see, despite the man’s care free demeanor, he was proud and it was taking everything he had not to lash out at his attacker, this pleased MONROE.
MONROE: “That’s what I like. That’s what makes me tick. That hatred in your eyes, that fire burning inside your chest.”
With a firm slap, he placed his right hand on Shane’s chest. Taking a firm grasp of his shirt, he stood up. Straightening on Shane’s shirt, he placed both of his hands on Shane’s face and smiled.
MONROE: “You and I, we’re going to take a journey. Tonight will be just a taste, but the pay-per-view, that’s when it all begins, Shane. That’s when the entire world will see what the future of PCW is, and I’ll make damn sure you get the scoop…”
Releasing Shane, he backed up with a grin a mile wide. Shane simply watched on, as MONROE backed his way down the corridor before vanishing around the corner, leaving the PCW crowd wondering what the hell was going on in that man’s head.
MATCH FOUR
Singles Match
El Musculo vs. Nacho Grande
Referee: Roberto Garcia
Details: SORRRYYY FOR PARTY ROCKIN’!
The song hits, and the crowd goes absolutely nuts for as the bass seems to flood the PCW Arena. After a moment or so El Musculo hits the stage, taking a knee and pointing outwards to the crowd. After a moment or so, he takes to his feet and makes his way to the ring with purpose. Before he hits the ring, his entrance is interrupted by…
NACHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
OHHH OHHH OHHH OH OH!
OHHH OHHH OHHH OH OH!
OHHH OHHH OHHH OH OH!
OHHH OHHH OHHH OH OH!
“Hang Tough” By New Kids tears through the arena, and the crowd goes absolutely wild. Looking absolutely ridiculous as usual, Nacho Grande takes to the stage with all of the craze and fanfare one would expect. It doesn’t take long for him to dance and strut his way to the ring, and thus the match was ready to start. After a friendly handshake, the bell rings and the match is off to an amazing start. Nacho Grande hits HARD arm drag to the much smaller Musculo. Getting to his feet, he’s hit with another arm drag that sends him reeling. By the third try he’s him to Nacho’s game, and during the arm drag he counters with his own arm drag!
Stepping off of the reversal, Nacho gets to his feet and instantly goes for a dropkick! He misses! Musculo avoids the dropkick and goes for his own and misses! Nacho hits the ropes and goes for flying plancha, but Musculo goes under it. Nacho rolls of the canvas, only to turn around just in time to catch a springboard leg scissors from Musculo. He spends little time on the ground, springing to his feet and once again catching Musculo with an arm drag. This time around, he quickly attempts to apply an armbar but Musculo fights out of it. Striking his way to his feet, he goes for a dropkick of his own only to be swatted away.
Standing up quickly, he watches as Nacho does a bit of shuffle and a strut before hitting the ropes. Catching Nacho on the rebound, Musculo takes him down with a quick drop toe-hold. Rolling across Nacho’s back, he hits a quick dropkick across the man’s skull before going for the pin attempt. Robert Garcia doesn’t even get a half-count before the kick out. There is no stop in the pace of this match, as the two continue to back and forth from every direction. While both men are fast, Musculo definitely is the faster of the two, but that speed comes with a size advantage that Nacho quickly begins to take advantage of.
After a quick exchange of elbow blows between the men, Musculo goes for quick hurricanrana but is caught by Nacho. Nacho attempts to power him forward and down for a bomb, but Musculo rolls through! Rushing forward, the smaller Musculo attempts and succeeds in powering the larger man into a powerbomb position. Nacho’s looks surprised, but doesn’t waste in anytime in pulling the same reversal. Landing on his feet, he throws a quick swipe with his right hand at the back of Musculo’s legs. Dropping him, he goes for a pin attempt and once again he barely gets a one count. As Muscolo gets to his feet, he repeats the strategy to the same results.
Noticing the stalemate in similar styles, Musculo takes the classical route. Once Nacho comes at him, once again attempting an arm drag variation, he counters. Rolling through the arm drag, he instantly pulls Nacho through into a fireman’s carry, instantly slapping a headlock on and leveraging it with his entire body in the form of a headstand. Nacho wiggles for a bit, powering up to his feet and rushing into the ropes with Musculo still maintaining the hold. He attempts to push Musculo off, but Musculo quickly reacts. He releases, letting Nacho’s momentum carry him and quickly rushes behind the man and takes him down with a textbook backside slam.
Rolling across Nacho’s back, he once more applies a headlock. This time, however, it is Nacho that performs the headstand. Within seconds, he uses his arms to vault himself off the canvas. Landing cleanly on his feet, he catches the stunned Musculo with lightning-fast enzugiri that gets him a two count from Garcia. Before either man can recover, Loki hits the ring. Rushing at both of the downed competitors, he first drives his boot into Nacho’s skull, before tossing Musculo to the side. Garcia instantly calls for the bell, throwing the match due to the interference of Loki.
Winner: Draw Via Disqualification
Mucho Mask-os
Details: Musculo flies out of the ring and falls to the padding on the floor while Nacho lays on the mat clutching his head. The last man standing in the ring should be looking victorious, though LoKi looks positively sullen in his disposition. As Nacho tries to recover, LoKi hits the ropes and lands another boot straight into the side of his head, putting him down for good. Finally he moves to the ropes and requests a mic from ringside. Soon one is placed in his hand to a chorus of boos, but LoKi is arrogant enough to try and talk above them.
LoKi: Enough of this bullshit! I’m sick and tired of people running around in the shadows, hiding in the darkness while targeting me. It seems someone around here likes deceiving people and hiding their real face. I think it’s about time we find out who’s REALLY behind all of this, don’t you Nacho? Let’s see if that person will come out of the shadows and save you, rather than see you get humiliated.
LoKi looks almost deranged as he moves over Nacho and takes hold of the mask. But suddenly the Tron flashes into action with a song the PCW faithful haven’t heard in some time. ‘Leap of Faith’ by Egypt Central hits and out from the back comes a pure white blur. The crowd erupts with cheers as Pegasus gallops down the ramp and dives into the ring straight into a barrage of blows from LoKi. The Fallen Angel seems to have the advantage until Pegs fights back with punches of his own. Pushing LoKi back to the ropes, Pegasus takes a step back and clotheslines him straight to the outside to rapturous applause.
Angered by the arrival of the PCW Legend, LoKi looks ready to re-enter the fray but thinks better of it, remaining on the outside as Pegs gets on the mic.
Pegasus: It’s great to be back in P-C-W!
The crowd can’t help but love the Winged Horse as he cracks a bright smile that is soon wiped from his face when he sees LoKi again. Shaking his head he returns to the mic and speaks.
Pegasus: But since I’ve been gone, things have changed. LoKi, what happened to you? You’re so full of anger and hatred, where’s the white knight PCW used to love?
This time a boo is all the PCW fans can muster toward the Fallen Angel who merely shakes his head back at the returning superstar.
Pegasus: You used to be friends with people like Nacho Grande, now all you can do is blame them for the darkness inside you and try to destroy them. You need to be stopped, LoKi.
Leaning over to attend to Nacho in the middle of the ring, Pegs takes his eyes off of LoKi for a moment, but that’s all the dark one needs. Clearly unimpressed by the diatribe, or believing perhaps that Pegasus is the figure that has tormented him recently, LoKi dives back in and delivers a brutal kick to the skull of the former World Champion. Before he can recover, LoKi hauls him into the air and drives him down with a devastating Omega Driver.
The crowd erupts with a torrent of boos and jeers that deafen the commentators and anyone in earshot. Yet still, LoKi doesn’t seem to deviate from his devious ways. Standing over Pegasus he begins to laugh insanely, having stopped the torment of recent weeks finally.
Just as LoKi is about to add to the misery of Pegasus, the arena plummets into darkness and a gasp of mystery passes around the PCW faithful. For a few moments nothing can be seen but the frantic flickering of flash photography, until the Tron lights up and shows the message that has been haunting LoKi for weeks…
"For God did not spare angels that sinned, but cast them into hell, delivering them to be kept there in pits of gloom till the judgement and their doom."
Suddenly a light shines down onto the stage and reveals a figure dressed almost entirely in black but baring one patch of colour… a mask. There is nothing that gives away the identity of the man but his hand moves toward his head very slowly. Once it reaches, it takes hold of the mask and prepares to unveil the identity of the owner. He pulls and…. the spotlight shuts off before anything can be seen!
A moment later and every light in the arena switches back on, but neither the mystery man or Nacho Grande and Pegasus can be seen. They have vanished into the ether, leaving LoKi even more frustrated and answerless.
Trimming The Fat
Details: The confusing in the arena can only be matches by the uncomfortable atmosphere swimming around the AWAssholes lockerroom. Jake Andrews and Greg Kennedy still look dazed and confused after their ‘encounter’ with Machine earlier in the night while Ford is quite happy with himself after his victory. Knowing he and the other members of the AWA will be in action soon, ‘The Ego’ MJW stands up from his position at the rear of the group and speaks out.
‘The Ego’ MJW: That’s it! I’m tired of being made to look like an idiot at the hands of these half-assed morons! We came here to show the world that we’re the best this industry has to offer and you two get your arses handed to you by a retarded German!
Staring straight at Kennedy and Andrews, MJW looks less than pleased with their actions and continues.
‘The Ego’ MJW: That simply won’t do, you’ve made a bad example of yourselves and of this group. We have to be strong!
His eyes move to their newest comrade, Korey Kill, who is lurking at the back of the group but towering over most of them anyway. After a moment of lingering he moves on.
‘The Ego’ MJW: We have to be smart!
This time he lands on Whitey Ford. Perhaps not the most obvious poster-boy for smarts, but his wily actions in the ring have made an impact already.
‘The Ego’ MJW: We have to be… well, perfect!
He doesn’t even bother to look at anyone this time, merely motioning toward himself at the peak of physical condition before his match against IC Champion Grimm. He even closes his eyes as if fantasising about his own perfect. Without opening them he moves on.
‘The Ego’ MJW: But most of all, he have to be truly, COMPLETELY ruthless!
Nobody moves, expecting him to point to one of the other members but nothing happens. Instead there is total silence. Finally Whitey produces a light cough that grabs the attention of both Kennedy and Andrews.
Whitey Ford: Oh, and by the way, ladies and gentlemen… Monroe!
The perfect example of ruthless aggression stands directly above the two beaten and battered fighters. Simultaneously they stand and turn but are confronted with a double Choke Hold that makes his intention very clear. Both men try to struggle out but Monroe is too powerful and simply throws both men into each other, clattering their heads together. As both men hit the ground, Monroe drops to his knees and locks in the stereo Choke Holds again, pushing hard into the windpipe to cut off their oxygen supply. As he does, Korey Kill moves to the front of the pack and begins to lay in kicks on both of them.
Despite the fact that they are probably unconscious at this point, Whitey Ford still leans over them and begins to speak again.
Whitey Ford: You might by AWA, but you two just aren’t good enough. We ARE the best and you don’t fit in around here anymore.
Monroe finally releases as both men go limp and lifeless. For a few seconds longer Korey Kill continues with his boots until MJW has to physically pull him back. The remaining four men then begin to laugh as they leave the lockerroom for MJW’s match that is up next.
MATCH FIVE
Non-Title Singles Match
Grimm (International ©) vs. "The Ego" MJ Windsor
Referee: Eric Russo
Details: The next match pits MJ Windsor against the PCW International Champion in a non-title match. Dr. Dre's "Big Ego" hits signaling the entrance of AWArsehole representative MJW. It's clear from the crowd's reaction that they don't particularly care for the greatest Heavyweight Champion in AWA history. The Ego enters the ring, after forcing Eric Russo to hold the ropes for him, to await his opponent and the lights go dim. The fans immediately start cheering as "Winter Shaker" by Wovenhand creeps over the PA system and out strolls the reigning PCW International Champion, belt fastened around his waist. Deliberate in his approach, Phinehas Grimm heads to the ring and climbs in...
...but only to be ambushed before the bell by MJW! Referee Eric Russo quickly scoops up the championship belt and calls for the bell, but Windsor has already taken the early advantage. MJW lays some closed fists into the side of Grimm's head before laying in a trio of extremely stiff clotheslines. Windsor makes a quick cover but doesn't even get a two-count. The Ego plants Grimm with a snap suplex and follows it up with a measured elbow from the second rope. Another pinfall attempt, but Grimm gets the shoulder up after two. MJW pulls Grimm up with a handful of hair, but Grimm locks on a Muay Thai clinch and delivers a series of vicious alternating knees before hitting the ropes. Grimm ducks a clothesline attempt, rebounds off the far side...and runs right into a spinning spinebuster! MJW with the cover. 1...2...
...kickout! MJW, considered by many to be one of the greatest wrestlers in AWA history, seems to be one step ahead of Grimm. The Ego waits for the Hangtown Horror to stand, then goes for a superkick! Grimm ducks, then goes for a Savate kick! MJW ducks behind, locks in a waist lock, and takes Grimm over with a German suplex. And another. And another...this time a release German suplex! The Lord of Misrule is hurting in a bad way, and MJ Windsor signals that he's finished. Stalking the champion, MJW grabs Grimm's boot and locks in an ankle lock submission! Phinehas accepts about five seconds of that before rolling forward, launching MJW face-first into the turnbuckle in the process! The fans erupt as the Ego staggers out of the corner and walks right into a spectacular headbutt! With Windsor stunned, Grimm hits the ropes and levels him with a flying shoulder block! Grimm, the most feared man in PCW history, doesn't even bother with a cover.
Yarding the Ego up off the mat by the legs, Grimm plants him with his patented wheelbarrow facebuster! The momentum has clearly swung in the champion's favor, and he's giving the AWArsehole the business. Grimm snaps MJW to the mat with the Lament Configuration, but again doesn't go for the pin. Perhaps he's trying to make a statement? Grimm drags Windsor to the corner and sets him up for the Harvest as the PCW Faithful come to their feet. The Lord of Misrule launches out of the corner for his Tornado DDT finisher, but MJW shoves him free at the last second and bails out of the ring under the bottom rope!
Eric Russo begins the mandatory ten-count as MJW shakes the cobwebs free. Flashing a first class grin, MJ Windsor simply points to his temple. Grimm doesn't seem frustrated...he simply watches. The Ego backpedals up the ramp, perfectly content taking a countout that ultimately means nothing to him. The fans produce a chorus of boos for the AWA invader as Eric Russo reaches ten and calls for the bell. Phinehas Grimm is declared the winner at the 9 minute and 26 second mark.
Winner(s): Grimm via countout
He's Back?
Details: As MJ Windsor is retreating up the ramp the lights begin to flicker. The Pure Class Arena is suddenly thrust into darkness as a collective yelp escapes from the PCW Faithful.
Jerry Andrews: The hell?
The PCW-tron comes to life, but is nothing but static. The big screen begins to switch from one video feed to another, as if somebody is flipping through channels, before settling on a series of commercials that could have come right out of a Jaded Hope compilation.
"Were you employed by Pure Class Wrestling between 2011 and 2012? Did you suffer a career ending knee injury?" (A clip of Heavy Metal down on the mat holding his severely damaged knee is shown.) "If so, you may be entitled to considerable financial compensation."
Al Laiman: Huh?
"Were you employed by Pure Class Wrestling between 2011 and 2012? Did you suffer a disfiguring facial injury?" (A clip of Bobby Smith clutching his face, blood gushing through his fingers moments after having his nose bitten off is shown.) "If so, you may be entitled to considerable financial compensation."
Jerry Andrews: I'm sensing a theme here.
"Were you employed by Pure Class Wrestling between 2011 and 2012? Did you suffer a paralyzing neck injury?" (A clip of Antoine McDouglas motionless in the middle of the ring with a steel chair wrapped around his neck is shown.) "If so, you may be entitled to considerable financial compensation."
As the PCW-tron fades out, the fans are cheering in anticipation. After a prolonged period, the eerie sitar intro to the Rolling Stones' "Paint it Black" plays and the Faithful are on their feet. The lighting slowly resumes revealing a lone figure atop the entrance ramp...!
Jerry Andrews: He's back! Billy Sadistic is back!
Al Laiman: Things aren't looking good for MJ Windsor. He's trapped between the Brothers Gruesome!
Grimm's gaze is fixed upon the top of the ramp. MJW must not be familiar with the Dillinger family history, or he just doesn't care, as he charges up the ramp at full speed. Windsor throws one of those trademark stiff clotheslines...!
Jerry Andrews: He just took Sadistic's head clean off!!!
The wind is taken out of the PCW Faithful's sails.
Al Laiman: Of course he did. It's just a cardboard cutout...
Sure enough, the cardboard cutout of Billy Sadistic topples over and MJW doesn't look impressed with the smoke and mirrors. And then a maniacal cackle shrieks over the PA system as Trauma goes to the backstage area.
It’s Showtime, Folks
Details: The scene cuts from in ring to the backstage area. Alejandro Walker is seen making his way to his office and slowly opens his door. The office door creaks and Walker freezes when he enters the room. He sees that there is a man sitting at his desk, feet up and the latest issue of Daily Variety opened up concealing the man’s face. On the cover of the magazine is PCW’s own “Mr. Showtime” Michael Wryght. The magazine drops to reveal that it is also Mr. Showtime behind the magazine as well, same cocky half smile, but different tieless Armani suit.
Wryght: Oh Alejandro, so nice of you to join us.
Walker: What’s you doin’ ere, Mikey?
Wryght: It isn’t Mikey anymore, it’s Michael. Even so, since I am your boss now, it should be Mr. Showtime.
Walker: Fine, Mista Showtime…wait did you say us?
Malave: That he did.
Walker spins around to see the “The Icemann” Luis Malave stepping from the corner of the room. A nervous looks begins to cloud Walkers face as the Icemann gets closer and closer, until walker stumbles over the chair behind him and crashes to the floor.
Walker: Mr-Mr-Mr. Malave I didn’t realize. Why’re yous here?
Wryght: Well I was thinking about taking your office for myself, but it’s a bit small for my liking.
Showtime smiles at Walker as he gets out of the chair and helps him to his feet. Walker appreciatively nods as Showtime gives him a good natured slap on the back.
Walker: So really, why’s everyone crowdin’ my office?
Icemann shoots Showtime a look, just causing him to crack his patented cocky half smile. Showtime reaches into his suit pocket and with a press of a button the light dim and a projector begins throwing imagines on the wall behind the desk. Using a laser pointer Showtime begins to explain.
Wryght: Gentlemen, as you can see this is a graph of ratings trends for the past year. This spike here is where I special guest refereed the match for William and Phinehas. This even bigger spike was the match that I had with good old Phinehas. Both ratings jumps are a direct correlation with the Pure Class faithful getting to see me again.
Malave: Did you actually put all of this together?
Wryght: Luis please, I pay people to do tedious work. I’m just here to make it look pretty. Now can we please save all questions for the end? Now this next slide shows ticket sales and you can see here, at the Icey’s that ticket sales grew four hundred percent from the moment I announce my partial ownership and other things.
Walker looks thoroughly confounded and surprisingly Malave finds this a bit humorous.
Walker: I don’t understand…
Malave: I’m not surprised, but what Michael here is trying to do is prove that he deserves to be the number one contender.
Wryght: Very good my friend, and as you can tell the numbers don’t lie.
Malave: But Michael, you’ve been gone for so long. You know I can’t let you just announce yourself the number one contender.
Wryght: Well I did and everyone loves it. The social world is all a buzz, and I am getting endless calls from all of the wrestling sheets. At the end of the day this is what the wrestling world wants.
Walker: But…
Wryght: But, you’re right Luis. I knew that I couldn’t do that, but the people are talking about it. I fully planned on earning my shot. I work for what I earn and this isn’t an exception. Plus I did really want to see the look on your face when I announced that to the Pure Class Wrestling fan base.
Walker: I’m glads yous gets it. Wees wouldn’t just hand it to you like dat. The Nachos, Stormms and LoKis of the world would have had a fit.
Malave: I bet they already did have a fit. So what are your plans Michael?
Wryght: Well over the next few weeks I will insert myself in matches that will prove that I should be the number one contender. After a while I will earn my shot or I won’t, either way we’re going to have some fun.
With everyone content on Showtime’s announcement, Showtime brushes past Walker. Showtime hands something to The Captain as Showtime and The Icemann leave the office chatting like old friends. Walker looks down at the card in his hand and sees Showtime’s handwriting which reads, “You’re getting better, but give this guy a call!” Walker flips the card over and see that it is a business card for James Snyder speech and accent coach to the stars.
