PCW Return To Glory 2012
Sunday, August 5th, 2012
Live on Pay-Per-View from the Pure Class Arena in Greenville, South Carolina
Introduction
Details:[/b] Return to Glory rises onto the airwaves with a video package of the many intriguing contests to come on this huge Pay-Per-View event. First are the faces of all nine competitors in the massive North American Title Number One Contenders Gauntlet, all with their own claims to this title shot. The furious face of Kaijin Shinryu is shown while the devious spraypainting of his back follows thanks to Areas. Just one highly contentious contest going into the Gauntlet for the Gold.
Following that is the unpredictable, unstoppable Machine and his increasingly odd relationship with Justin ‘Stormm’ Michaels over recent weeks. Both men display odd behaviour with Machine’s circuits coursing with Sadistic-ness and Stormm overcome with good will. The last shot is that of Machine sending a creepy, robotic smile toward Michaels, giving the whole crowd chills.
After that comes a depiction of the chaos the AWAssholes have wreaked since arriving just two months ago. Several frenzied brawls and scathing promos flash across the screen with occasional shots of the PCW contingent of Andy D, Grimm and Usali Basilisk fighting them off. Even a shot of the AWA turning on its own members makes its way in, showing the ruthless edge of the invaders as they do into their first title matches. Monroe takes on Andy D for the North American Title while Ford contests the International Title against Basilisk and Grimm.
Up next is the growing fury brewing between LoKi and Nacho Grande, the video illustrating the gradual decline into madness of the Fallen Angel and his torment by a masked, mysterious figure. Will the figure finally be unmasked tonight? Who will it be? Who will win? Many question are asked but none will be answered until later in the night.
Finally the main event is featured, the World Championship match with Lantlas facing the number one contender Sean Rhodes. The feats of respect and mutual understanding between the two men are shown while several facts are shown about the challenger. Over one hundred matches, four title reigns, three World Title shots, no wins, seven years. Is it time for Sean Rhodes to ascend to the top of the mountain, or will the Hall of Famer and perhaps the greatest champion in PCW’s history maintain his stranglehold on the belt?
There’s only one way to find out. This is Return To Glory!

Details:[/b] Al Laiman: With that, we’re on to the first match here at Return to Glory. Take it away, Jerry!
Jerry Andrews: It’s going to a Gauntlet match to determine number one contendership for the North American Championship!
Tsunagi tometa kotae ga yuruyaka ni
Koroge chiru futashikana warutsu de
Muishiki ni wareru tougai
Bara o tsukisashi nugui toru doro
Ashi ga matsu kishi… namiutsu
Obore tsukareta anata wa doko?
Waiting a little longer than normal, Kaijin bolts through the curtain and takes his place on the stage Return to Glory stage. The crowd appears to be standing room only as they cheer on the sensational superstar from the land of the rising sun. “Shitataru Mouru” by Dir En Grey engulfs the arena as he makes his way down the ramp, the tail of his sleeveless coat flowing behind him in an elegant manner. Reaching the midway point in the ramp, he slows to a stop before dropping to his knees. The camera feed switches behind him, watching as he warrior from the orient prays before pointing to towards the sky. The crowd roars around him, as he begins to slam his fist against his chest and spring back up to his feet.
Negao ga sukina no…
Continuing his determined march to the ring, he takes a moment at ringside to approach his mentor – famed professional wrestler known now simply as ‘Old Man Tanaka’. Standing in front of the man, Kaijin offers him a bow of respect before exchanging some words in their native tongue.
Jerry Andrews: His mentors presence ringside has to bolster his confidence going into this match.
Al Laiman: It could even the do the opposite – there’s nothing quite as intimidating as performing in front of a master of your craft; let alone one who knows you intimately. It can be like performing under a microscope.
Shinryu breaks away from his mentor, and slips into the ring. Before he can finish his walk-out rituals he’s interrupted by Areas’ music. “Eat it” by Weird Al, which in the past would have been met with fanfare, is now met with a rather mixed reaction. Areas marches down to the ring wasting very little time. He pays little attention to the fans, or that of Shinryu’s mentor ringside – he’s there for business. Reaching the ring, he slides and instantly takes to his feet. Pacing back and forth, he begins throwing his arms around to warm up. Pulling on the ropes, he charges into the ropes and on the rebound does a bit of a roll. For a large man, it’s obvious he’s got a bit of a spring in his step.
Al Laiman: “You’ve got to be wondering if what has happened during the past few weeks makes this match up a bit more personal.”
Jerry Andrews: “We’ll, we’re about to find out!”
With that the bell, and instantly Areas charges in for the attack. Forcing the smaller Shinryu into the corner, he takes him by the arm and tosses him up and over his shoulders. With the quick fireman’s carry, he goes for the pinfall...
Robert Garcia:….
Puro is quick to kick out, and as he gets to his feet he is instantly met with an attacking Areas once again. Screaming ‘USA’ at the top of his lungs, he takes a hold of one of Shinryu’s legs and lifts him into the air. Using the single-leg to get Shinryu to the ground, he floats over and performs a bridging pin and once again Robert Garcia takes to the mat!
Robert Garcia:…
Another quick kick out, and Puro is to his feet. After a quick exchange, something unexpected happens….
SORRY FOR PARTY ROCKIN’!
Al Laiman:”What the hell?”
Jerry Andrews: “Has the match been changed?”
El Musculo takes the stage, as the crowd and the competitors seem to take a moment to watch the superstar. Standing at the top of the stage, he seems to be his own world – amping himself out as he looks to charge down to the ring. But before he can take to his sprint, several PCW officials begin to pour from the back.
Al Laiman: “Well, it looks like we’re having a bit of a miscue…”
Jerry Andrews: “I guess you CAN be too eager sometimes..”
As El Musculo is escorted to the back, Puro uses the distraction to take advantage and take control of the match. As Areas turns around, he is met with a chop that echoes throughout the PCW Arena. Areas tries to reply with his own, but Puro hits another thunderous blow to Areas’ chest.
Al Laiman: “Where Puro comes from, that’s how they say hello! Areas should steer clear of a chop battle with this guy!”
Jerry Andrews: “It’s time for a little bit of wrestling spirit, folks!”
Puro steps into it, chopping away until they’re in the corner. Stepping back, he begins to deliver roundhouse after roundhouse into the midsection of Areas. The referee steps in for a count, but Shinryu instantly backs away. As Areas stumbles out of the corner, Puro takes a hold of his arm and perform a quick judo throw and covers him for the pin.
Robert Garcia: 1…
Areas kicks out! Puro wastes no time and taking the fight to Areas once more. With a vicious delivery of elbows to Area’s face, taking a step back he looks to measure up Areas for another blow and Areas ducks under! Turning around he sees a blow from Areas coming, and he ducks it! Areas turns around and BAM! Puro takes to the air, driving his knee into Areas’ head, before leaning into him and sweeping his legs out from under him and slamming him down with an STO. He quickly goes for the cover on Areas.
Robert Garcia: 1…2…
Kick out! Puro doesn’t look to be too happy about this, and he wastes no time and dragging Areas to his feet. He allows the American no time to regain his composure, as the onslaught of strikes continues. Each elbow strike is followed up with a knee to the gut, and this continues as Puro uses his strikes to lead Areas into the corner once again. The referee steps into break it up, but Puro pushes him away. The referee steps in once again, and this time Puro complies. But as Areas stumbles forward, he hits him with a hard looking elbow that glances off his temple. The referee looks worried, but Puro doesn’t stop. Stepping in, he begins to hammer away with his blows. Before Garcia can step in once again, Shinryu breaks away – slipping beneath the ropes.
Reaching under the apron, he digs around for minute before producing a small velvet bag. Slipping back into the ring, he is approached by Garcia but he simply blows the referee off. Untying the bag, he quickly pours the contents of the bag on to the floor – thumbtacks!
Jerry Andrews: “What is he thinking?!”
Al Laiman: “This is what he wanted at the PPV – a death match with Areas, it looks like he’s decided to take it upon himself to make this one!”
Dragging Areas out of the corner, he heaves the large man on to his shoulder and wastes little time stepping forward and slamming him down back first on to the tacks. Robert Garcia quickly calls for the bell. Mark Long approaches the ring, and Garcia whispers something to him. Long steps away, and quickly addresses the crowd.
Mark Long: “Your winner via disqualification is Areas!”
Puro doesn’t stop there, standing up he begins to stomp away at Areas. The crowd doesn’t know to react, and Puro doesn’t seem to be willing to let Areas stand. Crawling off the tacks, all he can do is cover as Puro continues to attack – and the next entrant makes himself known!
“LETS GET FUCKING SICK!”
“Scream with me” by Mudvayne hits as Korey Kill of the AWAssholes rushes down the ramp. The crowd turns on the man instantly, and he seems to relish in it as he strolls down the ring; entirely content with the fact that his opponent is getting beatdown.
Al Laiman: “Of course he’s okay with an easy win, he IS an asshole…”
Jerry Andrews: “Can you blame him? It’s underhanded, but it’s a good strategy.”
Kill slips into the ring, and begins to chuckle. Soon enough, he joins in the beatdown and begins to lay in boats of his own. Just as quickly, Puro turns on Kill! Jumping over Areas, he catches Kill with a sickening looking Reverse STO on to those same tacks. With this, it seems as though Tanaka has seen enough. Climbing over the barrier, he rushes into the ring and approaches the enraged Kaijin. They exchange some words in their native tongue, and soon the two men exit the ring. Korey Kill rolls out of the ring, and slumps on the floor while Areas has propped himself up in the corner. Mark Long approaches the ring, and speaks to Garcia. Garcia looks at him oddly, before shrugging and calling for the bell – with Puro’s exit from ringside, the match has been started.
Robert Garcia:”1….2….3….4….”
Areas looks content to rest in the corner, his back bloody from the violent attack from Puro. Korey Kill, however, looks to be completely unconscious from the attack from Puro, with a bloodied face to show for it.
Al Laiman:”The show must go on!”
Jerry Andrews: “It looks like Korey Kill’s strategy didn’t count on Puro’s rage!”
Korey Kill doesn’t seem to be moving at all, while Areas slowly works himself up to the middle turnbuckle. Neither men seem to be in the best state, but Robert Garcia continues his count as he watches Korey Kill.
Robert Garcia: “5…6…7…8…9…10!”
Stepping to the side, he instantly motions for the bell. The crowd seems a bit disjointed from the calling from the referee, but the Robert Garcia seems confident in his decision. Approaching the ropes once more, he confers with Mark Long who quickly makes the announcement.
Robert Garcia: “Korey Kill has been eliminated via count-out!”
With Areas gathering himself in the corner, Robert Garcia takes a moment to brush all of the tacks from the canvas. He approaches Areas, looking to see if the man needs a break but he seems to feverishly argue with the referee over it. He’s ready to go, and he’s ready for the next competitor. Reluctantly, Garcia steps away from Areas and that’s when “You are a pirate hits!”, and High Tide wastes little time running to the ring. Slipping beneath the rope he instantly rushes towards Areas as Garcia quickly calls for the bell. A flying forearm knocks Areas to the ground, and once he gets to his feet again he’s leveled with the same maneuver. High Tide’s movements are awkward, but yet the spring in his step is undeniable – it almost seems as if it’s a calculated style.
Areas stumbles to his feet only to meet a flying High Tide, landing on Areas, he uses his legs to wrap around the man’s heads before wrenching his body to the side – Areas is ready! The hurricanrana attempt is blocked, as the much stronger Areas powers him back up.
Al Laiman: “He’s in for a wooorld of hurt!”
Rushing forward, he drops High Tide down with a sickening looking powerbomb and instantly covers the pirate for a pin.
Robert Garcia:1…2…
Kick out! High Tide rolls on to his stomach, stumbling to his feet as he’s hit with a hard kick to his midsection. Areas is obviously gassed at the gauntlet match passes the ten minute mark. As the two approach the ropes, Areas quickly whips High Tide – big mistake! As High Tide approaches the opposite ropes, he springs into the air. Landing on the middle rope he walks awkwardly, seeming goading Areas who charges forward. Jumping forward, he flies over Areas and lands on the canvas rolling. Using the momentum, he rolls right into a sprint and hits the ropes. Coming off the rebound, he dodges a clothesline from Areas! Diving to the side of Areas, he catches and floats him over into a quick school boy pin!
Robert Garcia:”1…”
Areas kicks out! Stumbling to his feet, breathing heavy, he is instantly rolled up once again into a school boy pin – the crowd is roaring with excitement, as High Tide seems to be the spark the match needed to really get the fans into this one once again.
Robert Garcia:”1…”
Another strong kick out from Areas, as High Tide seems to be content with letting the man get to his feet without attacking him.
Jerry Andrews: “He maybe crazy, but he’s got a solid grip on this match…”
Al Laiman: “Areas seems be barely holding on – but the fact that he is should be a testament to the man’s durability…”
Fighting to get to his feet, Areas rests on the ropes only to be attack by the energetic High Tide. Stomping away at the big man’s midsection, he takes a step back and goes for a dropkick – and he misses! Areas swats the dropkick away, and quickly drops his weight down on High Tide for a cover, but before Garcia can even hit the mat High Tide kicks out of the pin attempt. Areas drags High Tide to his feet and hits him with a quick snap suplex and a pin attempt.
Robert Garcia:”1…”
High Tide with a kick out and Areas looks to be frustrated with the situation. Dragging High Tide to his feet, he goes for another suplex but is blocked. High Tide wraps his right leg around the inside of Area’s left leg. Areas goes attempts again, and is blocked again! Stepping forward, the big man drives a knee into High Tides gut and lifts him vertical into the air – that’s when High Tide attack. He drops a hard knee down Area’s skull! Stumbling backwards, he crashes against the ropes and loses his grip on High Tide. Falling over, High Lands on the turnbuckle and waits for Areas. Stumbling away from the ropes, Areas turns around is met with a beautiful dropkick from the top rope.
Rolling off of the blow, High Tide instantly goes for the cover on Areas.
Robert Garcia:”1…2…”
Areas barely manages the kick out, and as he fights his way to his feet he stumbles into High Tide and hits a rather sloppy but effective snap suplex on the man to give himself some time.
Al Laiman:”High Tide calls that move ‘Half Mast’, but it just wasn’t enough to put away Areas!”
Jerry Andrews:”With a guy this big, he just might need to go full!”
The crowd rallies behind High Tide as he crawls up the ropes – but Areas is ready for him. Stepping into the man’s back, he locks his arms around his waist and tosses him backwards. With a beautiful arch of his back, he performs a textbook german suplex, bridging it for a pin.
Robert Garcia: “1…”
A kick out from High Tide, and Areas sits up with a look of disbelief painted across his face. The crowd roars as High Tide kicks out, and it’s obvious who the fan favorite between the two men is. Before Areas can gather himself, High Tide is back on the attack! As Areas stands against the ropes, High Tides body comes crashing into his. Splashing against his body, as he stumbles back he takes Areas by the hand and quickly attempts a whip – Areas has other plans. Planting his feet into the ground, he uses his weight to keep himself from going anywhere. High Tide tries again, and is fruitless once more; that is when Areas acts. Pulling High Tide back, he attempts a short-arm clothesline, but misses. High Tide ducks under and goes for a neckbreaker, but Areas steps forward. Turning around, he meets a charging High Tide with a shoulder block, and repeats once High Tide charges again.
The third time he takes the ground out from beneath High Tide in another manner. Rushing forward, High Tide is quickly scooped up into the air, and slammed back first – a beautiful powerslam, and he is quick for the cover.
Robert Garcia:”1…”
High Tide is up again, and the crowd couldn’t get any louder at the moment. Before Areas can even react, he’s rolled up!
Robert Garcia:”1…2..”
Near three and a kick out from Areas! He doesn’t have any time to react, as High Tide is once again all over him. A jumping heel kick from the pirate sends Areas crashing into the corner, and High Tide doesn’t waste the opportunity. Rushing into the corner, he jumps into the air and lets his legs slip through the middle rope as he catches Areas across the chest with a rather odd clothesline. Slipping to the outside entirely, he waits for Areas to stumble out of the corner. As he does, he takes to the top rope before springing off!
Al Laiman:”This could be it for Areas, High Tide has definitely had a spectacular showing!”
Jerry Andrews:”Could we be seeing a springboard diving spear!?”
And that’s exactly what they were seeing, but that’s not what happened! Areas turned around, and watched as High Tide came flying through the air at him, and he dropped to the mat to avoid it! High Tide rotates mid-motion, and rolls off the canvas. But as he turns around and charges, he’s met with a charging Areas who has other things in mind. Seemingly wanting nothing more than to crash into High Tide, Areas has other things in mind. As he steams rolls into High Tide, he trips! Throwing out his elbow hard on the descent, it strikes High Tide right in the groin! Garcia standing behind Areas, it out of place to see the blow and simply sees both men go down, and High Tide holding his abdomen. Areas seems to be smiling maniacally as he stumbles to his feet and gazes down at High Tide.
Rushing forward, he takes to the air and springboards off of the middle rope, and crashes down with a sloppy lionsault across the unsuspecting High Tide, instantly hooking his leg upon impact.
Robert Garcia:”1…2…3!”
He springs to his feet, instantly signaling for the bell and the crowd jeered with dismay at the outcome of the round. Mark Long instantly took the microphone, despite the outpouring displeasure from the crowd around him.
Mark Long:”Your winner via Pinfall, Areas!”
He panted heavily, all the while smirking while propping himself up with the aid of the ropes. Not only was the crowd aware of the fact that he was outclassed match, he was, but he couldn’t help but smirk at the outcome.
Jerry Andrews: “We should be looking at High Tide in that ring!”
Al Laiman: “Areas knows he isn’t at his best, so he’s got to do what he can to stay in this thing; and so far, he’s done a despicable job…”
“Pick up the Pizzas” by The James Gang hits and Darren Hughes hits the stage. He takes a moment to look into the nearby camera and point in the style of a gun, and just as quickly he bolts down the ramp to meet Areas. Sliding into the ring, Robert Garcia instantly motions for the bell. Before Darren can get his offense started, Areas is all over him. Catching Hughes with a hard knee as he stands, Areas follows it up with a series of clubbing blows to Hughes’ back. As they work their way to the center of the ring, Areas takes Hughes down to the canvas with a headlock takeover, and is quick to lock in a headlock on the fresh entrant.
Jerry Andrews:”Not sure that kind of move is going to be too effective this early…”
Al Laiman: “The move isn’t for Hughes, it’s for Areas! His size is getting to him, we witnessed a bit of gassing in the last round, he’s got watch his cardio…”
The two struggle on the canvas before Hughes reaches the ropes and the referee calls for a break. At the four count Areas releases, but as Hughes gets to his feet he’s taken down once more and is placed in a headlock again.
Jerry Andrews: “Great technique on display, but do you think he can hold on?”
Al Laiman: “If he can keep Hughes on the ground, I believe so. While Areas is no doubt getting tired, he’s got the size advantage here – but that also seems to be his disadvantage in this kind of match.”
Fighting to the ropes once again, the referee enforces a break – this time Hughes is ready. As Areas comes in again, Hughes reacts. Leaning in, he hits a rather quick headbutt across the brow of Areas. Stumbling from the blow, he turns into quick DDT from Hughes that lays him it in the center of the ring and Hughes quickly goes for the cover.
Robert Garcia: “1….2…”
A late kick out from Areas and he seems to struggle with finding his vertical base after the DDT. Hughes wastes no time in capitalizing, bringing out a bit of mat wrestling of his own. Stepping into Areas, he applies a standing headlock, before performing a tiger spin and applying a hammerlock from behind. Wrenching at Areas left arm, he quickly forces Areas to his knees before releasing the move; but he’s not finished there. With Areas prone, he starts with an onslaught of stiff punches and kicks to Areas’ back. He steps away for a moment, only to bounce of the ropes and catch Areas with a quick bulldog – but Areas is up! Bouncing off the canvas with the momentum of the move, Areas stumbles forward and catches Darren from behind with a beautiful belly-to-back suplex!
Rather than go for the pin, he uses strategy once more. With an exasperated breath he fell down upon Hughes, and once again applied a headlock.
Al Laiman: “While his cardio is definitely a weakness, he seems to know how to work around it rather effectively.”
Jerry Andrews: “Every time Hughes seems to have an offensive burst, Areas seems to take him back down to the ground to neutralize it!”
Wrenching at the headlock, he drags Hughes to his feet only to float him over with a headlock take down. Applying the pressure, he rolls Hughes over and away from the ropes. While the first few headlocks were obviously meant to give him a bit of rest, it was obvious that Areas was now going to work on Hughes. As it became clear that Hughes wasn’t going to tap, Areas released the hold and rolled to his feet only to come crashing down on Hughes’ back with a heavy-handed double axe handle smash. Leaning over Hughes, Areas continues to clobber him with blows before mounting him and throwing them down upon a guarded Hughes. Robert Garcia is quick to approach the men, getting to a three count before Areas dismounts Hughes.
Taking a couple steps back, he waits for Hughes and charges in for a clothesline – Hughes ducks under it. Hitting the ropes, Areas comes back and with a heavy heave Hughes manages to perform a hip toss on the man. Hitting the opposite ropes, he comes back and drops a leg across Areas’ chest – but he’s not content with it! Standing up, he hits the ropes again and drops another leg drop across the man’s chest and throat. The crowd is going crazy, and Darren Hughes goes for another one. As he hits the ropes, he comes back and stops. Looking down at Areas, he takes a moment to play a bit of air guitar before jumping over Areas, running and jumping on to the middle rope, and spinning around midair and dropping knees across the chest of Areas. He quickly goes for the cover.
Robert Garcia: “1…2……”
The crowd counts to three, but the referee’s hand doesn’t quite make it to the canvas to secure the elimination. Areas powers out late, and Hughes can do nothing but look towards the crowd with disbelief over the fact that Areas is still in this one.
Al Laiman: “You can throw the whole kitchen at this guy, and he’ll keep on coming at you…”
Jerry Andrews: “I don’t know, he might take a break to eat some of it..”
Hughes takes a moment to rally against the ropes, and the crowd helps him amp himself up. Stomping his feet and pulling on the ropes, he turns around and is entirely blindsided by Areas! Laying a mean kick to the gut into Hughes, he turns the man around and thrusts him chest first into the ropes. Stumbling back with the momentum seemingly carrying him through, Areas turns around and catches him with a quick crucifix slide and drives Hughes into the mat on the top of his head rather sickeningly. With his body bent in half, Areas slips back a bit to let Darren’s shoulders touch the mat and Robert Garcia quickly gets in position for the pinfall.
Robert Garcia: “1…2…3!”
He calls for the bell, and Areas instantly slumps over on the canvas. Garcia is quick to check on Hughes, who seems to be knocked out cold from the impact of the backslide driver. A few officials hit ringside; they pull Hughes out of the ring and help him get to his feet. Mark Long once again addresses the crowd as they lay on the jeers rather thick.
Mark Long:”Your winner via Pinfall, Areas!”
Getting to his feet with no problem, Areas leans against the ropes with a dominate smile on his face. Stumbling into the ropes, he lets his chest rest against them as he lets his body weight relax against their hold. Twenty-four minutes into the opening match and the signs of fatigue are clearly visible; and that’s when he hits. Robert Garcia notices The Wasp slip into the ring from behind, and that’s when he calls for the bell. Areas turns around is instantly leveled by a running spear! Cover!
Robert Garcia:”1…”
A surprising kick out from Areas, who rolls out of the ring to give himself a moment as Wasp reaches his feet and slides out after him.
Al Laiman: “A great tactic displayed by Wasp. He tried to surprise Areas and take him down for the count, but he just couldn’t do it…”
Jerry Andrews: “I thought he had it, that spear was devastating but Areas just continues to take these beatings with a smile.”
As Martins tries to approach Areas on the ringside, he’s caught off guard with a kick to his gut. Areas leans in and bounces Wasps’ head off of the apron. Stumbling backwards, Jule gets no time to rest as Areas bounces his head off the apron again before shoving him shoulder first into the nearby stairs. The referee’s count has reached a six, and this is when Areas takes control and tosses Wasp back into the ring. Slipping in behind him, he lays across the man for a pin.
Robert Garcia: “1…2…”
A kick out, but Areas doesn’t let it phase him. Pulling Wasp to his feet, he levels him with a snap fisherman, and covers him for the pin once again.
Robret Garcia:”1…2…”
Another kick out, and each move seems to be taking more and more of a toll on Areas. He’s sluggish to get up, and Wasp uses this to his advantage. As Areas tries to pick him once again, Wasp attacks! Pushing Areas back, he steps into the man and hits a hard knife-edge chop. The crowd lets out a holler, and Wasp hits another one. Those two turn into four, and those four turn into a dozen, as Wasp chops Areas all the way to the ropes. Taking him by the left arm, he sends Areas forward but the man stops dead in his tracks. Turning around to face Wasp, he’s met with the man’s flying body as it comes crashing into his own. Areas only stumbles, waiving his finger as if to tell him ‘not on my watch, little guy;. Wasp, however, looks determined.
Hitting the ropes, he jumps into the air and throws his entire body into the move but Areas catches him! Dropping down, he slams Wasps’ back over his knee before standing up and spinning him over into a powerslam!
Al Laiman: “That size and girth, it’s hard to deal with…”
Jerry Andrews: “That might be enough to put Wasp away, that brawl on the outside really did some damage. I can’t imagine he’s at 100%.”
Wasting little time, he hooks both of Wasps’ legs for the pin.
Robert Garcia:”1…2…”
Wasp kicks out, and Areas leans up and buries his head in his hands. The crowd is firmly behind Wasp, and it’s quite obvious that the man has a bit of fight left in him; but Areas isn’t satisfied with that. Dragging Wasp to his feet, he hits him with a quick snap suplex. Standing up, he drops an elbow across his sternum and goes for the pinfall.
Robert Garcia:”1..”
Wasp kicks out, and Areas goes berserk. Leaning over wasp, he begins to rain down blows on the man and Garcia is quick to pull Areas off of Wasp. As Wasp rushes to his feet, he stumbles and finds himself resting in the corner. Areas rushes and goes for a splash but Wasp moves! The crowd can sense what’s coming as Wasp crouches and readies his leg – and that’s when he throws the superkick and its caught! He pulls in Wasp close, hooking his head and lifts him into the air with a fisherman setup – and then he drops down!? He slumps over on top of Wasp, putting no real effort into it, as Robert Garcia once again makes the count.
Robert Garcia:”1…2…3”
Al Laiman:”Areas continues to impress here, Wasp really never got the momentum he needed. He got some offense in, but Areas really dominated that one.”
Jerry Andrews: “But at what cost, Al? He’s got to be out of gas by now, I mean look at him. It looks like he can barely breathe.”
He gets no respite as when the bell is called for and Mark Long approaches the ring, out comes El Musculo! He rushes down the ramp and instantly slides into the ring. The officials look on confused, but Robert Garcia calls for the bell. He ducks a clothesline from Areas, and off the rebound from the ropes he catches him with a flying lariat. The blow drops Areas, and he scrambles to his feet. The high octane Musculo hits Areas with a dropkick, sending him to the ropes and Musculo quickly tries to catch him by the legs and lift him and over. The crowd absolutely goes wild, but Areas managed to push him off. Stepping forward, he’s met with another dropkick! Once again being pressed to the ropes, Musculo attempts to lift him up and over but just can’t seem to seal the deal.
Areas steps forward and catches Musculo with a knee to the head, but Musculo’s speed just seems to be too much for Areas. Kicking Areas in the gut, he takes him by the head with a cutter lead and rushes into the corner, running up it he goes for a spin but is tossed forward by Areas! The sliced bread attempt was foiled. Hitting the canvas on his back, Musculo rolls to his feet and rests against the ropes – but that’s when Areas comes charging, and Musculo reacts. Ducking under, he catches Areas around the waist and heaves him up and over the top rope with a grunt heard around the world. In what looks to be a beautiful looking overhead northern lights suplex, he sends Areas out of the ring and instantly drops to his knees and raises his hands in the air.
Al Laiman: “Has anybody told him that this is a gauntlet match?”
Jerry Andrews: “You think he would have figured that out by now…”
Musculo approaches Garcia, and raises his hand up high as he blows a kiss to the sky and takes to the turnbuckle. The crowd isn’t sure what to do, but a large number continue to cheer on the Epitome of Aerial anways. Areas slinks back into the ring after a moment, and approaches Musculo from behind. Garcia tries to get the man’s attention, but he’s simply too excited to mind him. Dropping down from the turnbuckle, Musculo turns around and is face to face with Areas who quickly tackles him into the corner and begins to lay waste to the man. Shoulder after shoulder smash into the abdomen of Musculo, he tries to rush out of the corner but he’s caught and thrown back into it. Hitting another shoulder, Areas uses it to lift Musculo up and on to the top turnbuckle.
Musculo throws a kick down into Areas, but it doesn’t seem that effective. He throws another one, and it seems to have the same effect – that’s when Areas reacts. Throwing that hard metal arm into the gut of Musculo, he takes him by the head and instantly drops back into a snap DDT from the top rope. Musculo’s lifeless body rests in the center of the ring as Areas scrambles to cover the high-flying superstar.
Robert Garcia:”1…2…3”
Areas sits up, up and snickers as the crowd lets him drown in their hatred. Robert Garcia calls for the bell as Mark Long is quick to address the fans, and the garbage begins to fly in his direction.
Mark Long: “Your winner via pinfall, Areas!”
Areas stumbles to his feet, and uses his foot to push Musculo out of the ring. The ringside attendants quickly help him to his feet, and take the still confused superstar to the side of the ramp. That’s when the beat of “10000 Watts of Artificial Pleasure” hits. Unlike the entrance of the other superstars, Crazy Boy comes out looking a bit worse for wear.
Jerry Andrews: “This isn’t going to be good…”
Al Laiman: “He’s still banged up from Trauma, but you can’t just let your opponents see that!”
Smith limps his way down the ramp the best he can, holding his side as he rolls underneath the bottom rope and Areas is instantly on the attack as the bell rings. Stomping away at Smith’s side, he takes him by the leg and drops him into the center of the ring. Lifting his left leg into the air, he slams his foot down on the canvas with a loud thud. Fighting to stay standing, gasping for air, Areas lifts his leg up once again and slams it down on to the canvas. Leaning down, he applies a quick ankle lock and Smith writhes wildly in pain. Smith fights his way to the ropes, and at a four count Areas releases the hold. Taking a step back, he watches as Crazy Boy pulls himself up with the aid of the ropes and Areas instantly mounts an attack.
Stepping forward, he drops down and uses that heavy arm to slam it into the back of Smith’s left leg. He screams out in pain, while holding the rope to keep himself from falling. He lifts his leg in the air to avoid the same attack again, but Areas kicks out his right leg and watches him drop to the mat. Falling forwards, Areas throws that hard metal arm against the left ankle and once more drags Crazy Boy to the center of the ring. The fans have gone rabid, and their hatred for Areas at this point seems to be borderline murderous. Standing up, Areas begins to stomp away at the midsection of Tyrone Smith, the referee breaks it up a couple times but Areas keeps going in for the onslaught. Leaning down, he drags Smith to his feet only to be caught with a dropkick.
The blow from Smith hits Areas square between the eyes and levels him, but Smith lands on his left side and instantly pops back up in pain. Stumbling, he hits the ropes to hold himself up and as Areas charges, Smith attacks. Hobbling forward, he jumps and hits a heel kick with his right leg. Once again, the blow flattens Areas, who seems to be having more trouble standing from the lack of cardio than that of impact of Smith’s moves. The crowd tries to rally behind smith, but as he goes for another kick he’s caught midair by Areas who scoops him up and slams him down.
Al Laiman:”Just power, pure power. I don’t think Smith has a chance, not with those injuries.”
Jerry Andrews:”I’m surprised they even let him perform tonight, but he’s putting on a valiant effort but at what cost? The abuse his leg is taking, this is just sick…”
Dragging Smith by his legs, Areas sets his left leg on the bottom rope with his ankle hanging over the apron. Stepping to the outside, he waddles forward heavily and drops his entire body in a knee drop across the ankle. Smith screams out, his body seeming to ricochet from the impact and roll across the ring. Areas sluggishly slips back into the ring, approaching Crazy Boy and dropping his full weight onto the man’s abdomen. Clawing his way back to his feet, Areas pulls Smith up by his arm and floats him over with a fireman’s carry but lets him slip over his neck instead of his shoulder, driving Smith’s abdomen into his knee and going for a cover.
Robert Garcia:”1…2…”
A kick out from Smith, and Areas looks like he is absolutely beside himself. Looking at the referee, he begins to argue with him and Smith takes this moment to act. Hobbling forward, he rolls up Areas from behind.
Robert Garcia:”1…2”
A kick out, and Smith stumbles and falls across Areas is back. He uses the rising man to help himself stand, and quickly levels him with a Russian leg sweep. He goes for another pin as the crowd is solidly behind him.
Robert Garcia:”1…2….”
Areas powers out and Smith can barely pull himself up with the aid of the ropes. Garcia approaches Smith, asking him if he wants to continue but there is absolutely no quit in this superstar. He begins to measure Areas up, waiting for him to stand. He feels it, the crowd sees it – he’s going for it. Approaching Areas, he pulls him into front facelock and hooks his arm. As he attempts to heave Areas is up, his left leg gives out and he buckle down to a kneeling position. Areas attacks, driving knee after knee into Smith’s head before pulling him to his feet and rushing in and driving both of his knees into Smith’s abdomen and covering him.
Robert Garcia:”1…2…3”
The bell is called for, and Smith is curled up in a fetal position after the onslaught to his body. Garcia checks on Smith, as Areas looks to be entirely out of air on the mat. His chest heaves in and out as he looks at the ceiling, and the crowd ignites with hatred. Mark Long, once again, announces the results to the PCW Faithful.
Mark Long:”Your winner via pinfall, Areas!”
Areas lays flat on his back and that’s when it happens. The melodic chords begin to play, before the full essence of “Leap of Faith” by Egypt Central hits. The crowd goes absolutely wild for the returning man’s entrance.
Jerry Andrews: “Here is, ladies and gentleman!”
Al Laiman: “It’s not leap of faith, Pegasus is coming into this match and Areas is down for the count!?”
Pegasus stands at the mouth of the ramp; the arena is bathed in a white light as he points down the way in Areas direction, the crowd reaches out to touch the man and he happily obliges their requests. Areas still remains on the mat, showing signs of life but not of actual movement. Pegasus, on the other hand is soaking up the moment in all of it’s glory.
Al Laiman:”Former World Champion, Tag Team Champion, International Champion, a Hall of Famer. This man has done it all, and now he’s back!”
Jerry Andrews: “It’s a great day to be a PCW fan, folks! Areas might had his way so far, but the tide is surely turning in this battle”
Areas is on a single knee now, and looks to be watching desperately as Pegasus makes his way up the stairs and on to the apron. Gazing into the ring at Areas, he shows no signs of fear but only an energetic smile. Bouncing up and down, he shakes the ropes before jumping over the top rope and rushing forward. The bell rings…
Al Laiman:”HERE WE GO!?”
Pegasus rushes forward, the crowd ignites, and Areas springs into the air! Stumbling forward, he throws his whole body into a spinning motion as he throws his full weight into the momentum of a spinning back first with that metal arm. Pegasus body seems to turn inwards on itself as he bounces off the canvas like a ragdoll and the crowd is stunned into silence.
Justin Andrews:”WHAT HAVE WE JUST WITNESSED!”
Al Laiman:”NOT LIKE THIS!”
Pegasus shows no signs of life as Areas topples over on top of the man and hooks his leg firmly. Robert Garcia looks reluctant as falls to the canvas and goes for the count.
Robert Garcia:”1…2…3”
The bell rings for a final time, as Garcia approaches the now kneeling Areas and lifts the man’s hand in victory. The crowd is still unsure of how to process what has just happened, but as Areas stumbles to his feet it’s quite obvious that he knows.
Mark Long:”Your winner, and number one contender for the North American Championship – Areas!”
Winner: Areas via Pinfall

Singles Match
Machine vs. Justin "Stormm" Michaels
Referee: Joseph Buckland
Details:[/b] The light in the arena dim to a fade, before the orange glow bathes the arena with it’s essence – the fans instantly know who’s entrance they are witnessing. The muffled guitar in synthesizer lead the song in before the main guitar kicks in and the chorus of “Enemies” by Shinedown plays at full blast.
You got the world on its knees. You’re taking all that you please.
You want more! You want more!
But you’ll get nothing from me!
As Justin Michaels hits the stage, the crowd goes absolutely nuts. He smiles in a subtle manner before making his way down the ramp; the fans closest to the ramp and the ring seeming to being showing an exceptional amount of love.
Jerry Andrews:”These fans are going absolutely wild for Stormm. This match is something that a lot of people have been waiting for.”
Al Laiman:”They’re going nuts because most of these fans got their tickets free because of Michael’s company. Can’t beat free.”
Reaching the ring, he takes a moment to take in the energy of the crowd before entering the ring. There’s definitely change in the air for Stormm and it’s something that the audience seems to be picking up on. As he enters the ring, and readies himself for the match the ominous drum beat instantly pulls the attention away from the man in the ring. “The Beautiful People” by Marilyn Manson plays, but there are no theatrics to be seen. Machine ducks to step through the entryway, and stands upon the ramp for a moment while locking eyes with Michaels. He shows no emotion as he seems to lumber down the ramp with a single purpose – reaching the ring, and the fans within his reach seem to simply stand back and simply allow the man to march.
Al Laiman:”It’s cliché, but it’s true; you really don’t know what cold and calculating power is until you’ve stepped into the ring with this man.”
Jerry Andrews:”The events of the past few Traumas have really put a spin on this match, but what does that mean for both of these men?”
Reaching the ring, Machine shows no signs of flinching as he stands across the ring from Stormm. Pulling on the ropes, Stormm continues to warm up and as the bell rings the two men begin to circle. Joseph Buckland steps out of the way as the men approach and Justin instantly goes on the attack. Kick after kick impact against the brick wall that is Machine. The monster of a man quickly steps in, going for a hard lariat but it misses. Justin ducks under the clothesline and hits the ropes, coming off of them drops down and throws a full-bodied dropkick at the right knee of Machine who doesn’t even seem to flinch from the blow! Getting to his feet, Michaels hits the ropes but this time is caught by Machine, who wastes little time in pressing him over head and press slamming him on to the mat.
He goes for a cover, but before Joseph can hit the canvas Justin has already kicked out. Machine’s calculated offense instantly comes into play, as he delivers a clubbing right hand blow to Michael’s back before taking him by the nap of the neck and tossing him across the ring. The crowd’s reaction is mixed, but they are vibrant all the same.
Jerry Andrews:”The man is a tree. You can try to throw a car at him, but most of the time all you’re going to do is chip off some of the bark.”
Al Laiman:”Stormm is an intelligent competitor, we all know that. If he can find a way to take Machine off his feet, he’ll be able to take it to him.”
Scrambling to his feet, Justin stumbles into the corner only to be driven deep into with a hard knee. Blow after blow rain down upon Stormm’s abdomen, before he’s tossed carelessly into the center of the ring. Once again scrambling, he gets to the ropes and is once again met with a clubbing blow to his back. Arching it in pain, he stumbles along the ropes only to be struck over and over. After three or four blows he’s on his hands and knees and that is when he strikes. Throwing his body weight to the side, he uses his entire figure as a battering ram as he slams against Machine’s knees. Rolling off of the impact, he begins to stomp away at the side of Machine’s right knee. Striking his way into a standing position, he drops kick after kick on to that same knee before dodging a heavy clothesline from Stormm.
Machine seems to stagger back a bit, maintaining his balance all the while being pushed into the ropes. Instead of going for an irish whip, Michael’s waits for Machine to attack. Stepping forward, Machine throws a slow swat at the man only to miss. Hitting the ropes, Justin comes from behind with a glancing chop block to the back of that same knee on Machine. His leg buckles, and he takes a kneeling position. Michaels wastes no time and hitting the opposite ropes and charging directly at Machine’s front side – and that’s when the monster erupts. Charging forward he throws his left shoulder clean into the sternum of Justin Michaels. The blow stops Stormm dead in his tracks, and levels him against the mat, the thud echoes throughout the PCW Arena.
Al Laiman:”That has got to hurt.”
Jerry Andrews:”Stormm’s entire offensive arsenal is absolutely useless against a man of Machine’s size. He’s got a good game plan, but he just can’t give Machine that kind of space.”
Pulling Michaels to his feet, he measures him with his left hand before driving his head clean across Stormm’s. It levels him instantly, and the fans can be heard audibly gasping from the impact of the blow. Rolling on the canvas, Stormm stumbles to his feet only to be struck down with another devastating headbutt. Reaching the ropes, Machine approaches only to be met with a hard kick to the front of Machine’s right knee once again. Stumbling back, Machine is hit with another hard kick to the knee before Michael’s takes to the air for a dropkick. His feet press off clean against Machine’s chest, but the massive German doesn’t even budge an inch. Michaels pops back up to his feet and instantly goes for another with the same results.
He gets to his feet once again and instantly springs off the ropes, Machine rushes for a clothesline but misses – Stormm keeps going. Hitting the opposite ropes he once again comes as Machine he goes for a clothesline – another miss! Stormm goes under again and hits the ropes once again. With the combined momentum he comes flying off the ropes and leaps into the air. Catapulting himself ,he hits a hard flying dropkick off of the forehead of Machine. The german behemoth stumbles, and takes a knee and the crowd goes absolutely nuts. Springing back up to his feet, he sends barrage of rights and lefts on to the downed giant. Taking a step back, he throws a few kicks in for good measure before hitting the ropes to the right side and coming back with a dropkick to Machine’s head.
Stumbling to his feet, the crowd is solidly behind Stormm as he doesn’t allow Machine any time to recuperate. Jumping on to the monster’s back, he instantly synchs in a sleeper hold but that’s not where he stops. Pressing his legs together, he lets his knees press into the spine of Machine. Lumbering to his feet Machine, tries to swing Michaels off of his body but it only met with a impact of the man’s knees against the middle of his back.
Al Laiman:”Now that’s a smart move. While not trying to lock in a body scissors leaves him open, he can use his knees to target the back of Machine.”
Jerry Andrews:”Impressive, but can he hold on to it?”
Machine quickly tries to reach back and take a hold of Stormm, but Justin quickly uses his free legs to crawl up the back Machine. Pressing off, he uses all of his body weight to swing his legs down and sending them crashing into Machine’s back. The crowd goes absolutely wild as Machine lumbers into the ropes and seems to use the top rope to keep from tumbling over. Reaching around, he once again attempts to get a hold of Stormm but this time Michael’s abandons the hold all together. Slipping over Machine’s shoulder, he lands on the apron. Machine steps in for a swinging haymaker, but Michaels ducks it. Holding the middle rope, he drops down and throws his legs underneath it; slamming both of his legs into Machine’s right knee causing the man to buckle to a kneeling position.
Slipping back on to the apron, he rushes to the turnbuckle and wastes no time in taking off from it. Flying through the air he catches Machine clean across the jaw with dropkick that, for the first time in the match, levels the behemoth!
Jerry Andrews:”He has done it!”
Al Laiman:”He has got to capitalize. He can’t let Machine get back up to his feet, he absolutely can not.”
Springing to his feet, he quickly hits the ropes and comes back with a low-flying dropkick into the body of Machine. The behemoth stumbles to a knee, and is quickly met with another dropkick. The blow staggers machine, and he staggers but can’t seem to make it to his feet. The arena has become absolutely unhinged as Stormm continues to batter Machine with a heavy torrent of stomps and dropkicks. Making it to his feet but for a moment, Machine stumbles into the corner while seemingly not bothering to cover up from the blows. Stormm stands on the middle rope, and drives kick after kick into the chest of the reeling Machine. Pushing forward, Machine shoves Stormm forward and sends the man sailing across the ring, but Stormm lands on his feet!
With no emotion, Machine charges forward and Justin breaks into sprint going in the opposite direction. Hitting the corner, he slips on to the apron and watches as Machine crashing chest first into the turnbuckle. This is his moment, this is shot; Justin quickly climbs on to the top rope, as the fans go absolutely wild. Machine stumbles away, gazing away from Michaels and that’s the only shot that Stormm needed. Jumping off the turnbuckle, he catches Machine by the head and uses it to swing his legs to the side of the behemoth’s body to give him more impact. The momentum takes Machine off of his feet, angling his body backwards as he’s driven down on the back of his head!?
Al Laiman:”I don’t believe I am seeing this!? A diving variation of the Hanging Cloud on Machine!? This is crazy!?”
Swinging over, Michaels quickly covers Machine, and Joseph Buckland hits the canvas swiftly to make the count.

The bell rings, and the fans erupt from their seats. It was an uphill battle, but after eight minutes Justin Michaels found a way to neutralize the german behemoth.
Winner: Justin Michaels via Pinfall
Sunshine after the Stormm
Details:[/b] Following the victory, even Stormm seems overwhelmed that he has beaten the giant German monster, though his emotion seems to move further beyond a simple win. Shinedown’s ‘Enemies’ hits while Stormm climbs back to his feet and has his hand raised by the referee, the crowd continuing to give him a great ovation after such a showing.
Still Michaels seems taken aback by the scene and soon he moves closer to the ropes, requesting a microphone as Machine is rolled from the ring. Slowly the music fades out and the crowd respectfully allows his an opportunity to speak. Taking a moment to steady himself, Michaels looks into the crowd and thanks them all for their support and cheers, not just tonight but over the course of his PCW career.
Reading much more than gratitude in this comment the crowd begins to murmur with thoughts and ideas but Stormm cuts them short as he continues. The former PCW World Champion admits that over recent weeks, he and the Pure Class Entertainment Group have been negotiating a new contract but, despite all the best will from both sides, a deal could not be reached. A sigh of sadness moves through the arena as he says that this match was his last, but that he left with the satisfaction of giving the fans one last look at the real Stormm that joined many years ago.
A growing round of applause envelops Stormm as he tells the PCW Faithful that, one day, he will probably be back in front of them but for now it’s goodbye. Once more he thanks all of those in attendance and exits the ring, prompting an impromptu standing ovation and a huge chant of “Thank You Stormm! Thank You Stormm!” echoing through the whole building. As he reaches the top of the ramp, Michaels turns and takes a bow before walking backstage to a great reaction.[/color]
