When I pick a theme, I try and think how the video package would look if WWE ran the show. My choice, "The Man," was chosen due to the name of the event, the conclusion of TIIT, the lyrics, the fact that whitey Ford ("A bad, bad man,") is presumably going up against Eira, an I just see the video package looking awesome. See these as an idea of how I seen the video package in my head:

I agree with you. I wish people (in general, not just here) would consider the difference between "PPV/Wrestler Theme Song" and "music I like to listen to."

I personally do, but I still don't think Aloe Blac is a good fit for the PPV, apart from the ending of the TiiT and/or Main event... Now the Iceys - its a really good fit there in my opinion

"Death Before Dishonor" made sense to me considering the name of the event is "Living a Legacy". The song (to me) expresses a mindset and code of behavior that is in itself a legacy that the singer is living. Ergo: living a legacy. I'm not particularly fond of the song itself.
Had I been going off of "music I like to listen to" it would have been something with ridiculous bass, lots of electronic noises, and most likely a solid amount of graphic violence/sex being described. Also a high chance of it having been in German. Or, failing that, one of the "epic music" pieces from Two Steps From Hell, Audiomachine, Xtortion Audio, or similar. But those wouldn't have made sense, not as I understand the process.
I honest-to-crap did not realize it was something that required more thought than "The title of this song makes sense with the title of the PPV." If that's the case, there are quite a lot in the past that don't make sense regardless of which music preference demographic(s) you happen to fall into.

I agree with you. I wish people (in general, not just here) would consider the difference between "PPV/Wrestler Theme Song" and "music I like to listen to." That's exactly what I did and I don't like any of them. I'm not going to be that guy who complains and offers no suggestions however. As we speak I'm looking through songs that I think might work better. I shall post them when I find them. If something else wins before that, no biggy.

I'd go with 5FDP. Didn't care for trust company and that other one for one I see Icemann coming out to that one and black vail braides, I didn't know Rick and Tom wanted their pet names to go public.

...and that other one for one I see Icemann coming out to that one... I won't even lie. It's currently my ringback tone. Not necessarily because I like the song (it gets very repetitive), but because I want anyone who calls me to know that I'm the man. ...yes, I know that's very douchey of me. I don't care. (And for fun, I have also, and currently rotate through, these songs as my ringback tone as well: "Abracadabra" and "Joker" by Steve Miller Band, "Love Shack" by B52s, "A Thousand Miles" by Vanessa Carlton, and "Pieces of Me" by Ashley Simpson).

Bit late on this one buuuuuuuuuut ...
... we COULD have just chosen the theme like most every other pay-per-view in the past. Each of the management offered their own take and left it to the members of PCW to decide as sort of an interactive thing. I'm sorry if the choices don't suit you, but that's what we came up with this time. Next time we may offer a write-in poll instead. We'll discuss it for the next PPV. ^_^
