It was disappointing that Buck Brochamp couldn’t show up for this, his one chance at a decisive victory, but such is efedding. As it is, PCW has a long and storied history of dealing with no-show matches…but I think this is one of the few (if any?) times the fed just shrugs and says, maybe some other time. But it gave Kelli Starr an opportunity to add herself to a title picture (what is it with wrestlers in this fed inserting themselves in the World Title hunt? Trust the process, people!). And we knew how the Showtime / Dollface matchup would end, but we got a Nathan Saniti tease (right?) to add a little flavor.
Speaking of foregone conclusions, we also knew High Tide was going to pick up the victory…but we didn’t know Seromine and his bunch would start targeting him tonight. That could be a bizarre feud right there.
I like to think Alexa came down out of her disdain for Crazy Boy and not because the Darkness is getting chummy with Seromine’s cult.
Andy D held his own, but, well, Murdoc is a big guy. And having mild-mannered Andy D feud with Lunacy and his ilk could be one of the most extreme pairings of polar opposites in recent memory. If this is a true feud and not just a setup for a one-off match. Please be a feud.
It stinks that Brenna Gordon is leaving, but like I said on the OOC Board, I want to see what other types of characters Other Kris (Kris 2.0?) can grace us with. In regards to the match, the dislocated shoulder was an interesting touch (I’ve already made a note of it, so hopefully I won’t no-sell it too bad), and the mules have once again produced some swell material --> “As though she’s battling a whirlwind of falling autumn leaves, a dizzying endeavor – and just as crunchy.” --> that’s pretty great.
You never want to overlook a match (especially at a PPV), but holy cow, what an ending! Trauma 200 is going to be ridiculous, in the best way possible.
