I’m going to use the same feedback style I did previously I think it helped keep my thoughts in a more organized flow. Per my usual standard, I’ll try to keep this from getting too long winded, but no promises of such. Especially because I go line by line. Enjoy!
T200I know I said it after the RP deadline went up, but this is a huge milestone to make it to. In a condensed version, thank you to everyone for being part of the journey. I really love being here, no matter how much I can’t stand reading my own stuff, hahaha.
Murdoc SegmentI loved everything about this. The opening took me by surprise because of the gratitude expressed, although it felt like OOC was coming through in a mix with IC. I’m super happy for Shannon, and as I had told Kris post-results going up, had no idea he had never won the top title. So yeah, a HUGE congrats to him on the accomplishment.
Murdoc announcing he was going home was glorious. Nothing like a good ol pipebomb eh? “Go f*** yourselves” (as a heel myself) made me smile. Although this did remove him from the Main Event. Great opener, really looking forward to seeing how his reign progresses going forward.
The highlight packages I won’t cover as they speak volumes on their own. I was really glad to see the Cathedral match made it in though. I don’t think I’ll ever forget that match happened. Truly something epic between Eira and Sadistic. But as a whole, the selections were awesome and really highlighted some of the top matches from the past.
Dan Fierce SegmentShort, simple and to the point here. Most of us are DF fans, and the set up for the future Majors vs Fierce match was cool to see. Rick trying to pass his opportunity down to Dan as a way to make up for how Fierce lost it in the first place (refresher: Fierce won TIIT and then put the rights on the line against Murdoc). Dan choosing to go the path of nobility, decides he would rather win it fair and square. Majors explanation about the toll his body has taken was a really good pivot as reality has crept in of wear and tear. Especially in knowing the kind of brutality that would await in a showdown with Murdoc. Thumbs up to both handlers for this seg.
He Returns…You’re supposed to be DEAD!! lol. Yeah, the return of my best friend and former tag team partner was a complete surprise. I’m happy to see him return in any capacity, and the fact he brought some of our ancient history with him was awesome to see one more time. Am very curious to see what becomes of his singles run going forward. But welcome back, brother.
I don’t know who did the graphic for the elimination match, but fuck it was awesome. Really added to the big fight feel of it. Kudos to whoever did it.
Misdirect with Crazy Boy? Mayyybe.
The use of Thriller’s Zombie Dance is still a genuine highlight...and still amusing to picture inside of the PCW arena. Admittedly I was hoping for the Time Warp, but hey...Thriller is great.
Main Event TimeIt was truly fun to plan out this match with everyone for a couple of months. It started as a “what if” idea, got proposed and quickly got agreed to by the participants. It’s a highlight of my efed career for sure and such a colossal main event fitting of a milestone event. My hat is off to Dan for writing it. These sorts of matches are hard to do, because you want to make sure everyone has a chance to shine. My guess at the mystery fifth was wrong LOL. Tbh, I was thinking it would either be Andy D, Crazy Boy or Whitey Ford. Was NOT expecting Lantlas at all. IC my reaction was similar to that of Arn Anderson’s when Ricky Steamboat was revealed as Dustin Rhodes tag partner at Clash of the Champions XVII lol. But it was really fucking great to see and especially with it being the conclusion of a legendary career.
*Ace Anderson: Her troubles are only getting started. Here comes Alexa Black.
*Sadistic’s antifreeze green eyes glow with anticipation as he grabs up the downed Candy Girl.
*Lantlas scores the matches first elimination with an Elvish Tale on the North American champion.
*The crowd goes crazy. As does Alexa, but in an entirely different way. She screams her frustration, attempting to get back into the ring after being forced out. Kelli waves bye to Alexa, who is still throwing a tantrum all the way back up the ramp.
*The Owl Masked Maniac hobbles to his feet circling his foe. As he gets to his corner, he tags in Grimm, glaring daggers at the meddlesome Middle-Earther.
*Sadistic rushes to his brothers side, encouraging him to get up. Neither man sees the Elven Warrior gain momentum from the ropes across the ring for a suicide dive that takes both of the Hangtown horrors to the floor with a thunderous crash.
*The legend doesn’t see the unmasked Cultist hiding in the audience. As the ref’s attention is applied to the pile of tangled limbs that are the Brothers Dillinger, the Grizzly smashes Lantlas with a folded chair before reapplying his mask and disappearing back into the audience.
*Sadistic drops to all fours, barking insults at Lantlas and headbutting him for punctuation.
*Sadistic elevates Lantlas in a delayed suplex, making sure that the blood rushes to her head properly before bringing her back to the mat violently.
*Thinking quickly, Dan Fierce ducks into the ring just long enough to get the ref’s attention. He ducks back out, knowing that Seromine and Grimm wouldn’t be able to resist the chance to triple team Lantlas.
*Sadistic hits the ropes, to perform a punt to Lantlas, but Fierce catches him, plants a huge kiss on the bearded madman and hits a neckbreaker over the top rope that levels the Dillinger Brother.
*Dan catches a bit of of flak from his team mates for his actions, but he just shrugs it off as “just business.” Majors takes particular exception to his actions...(nicely put).
*Cory Steel with a blind tag!
*A schoolboy from Majors ends Cory’s night for the second elimination, making it 5-3 in favor of the faces.
*Seromine, completely unaware of the tag, attempts to pull Majors back into the ring. The Fabulous One uses this as a chance to climb the top rope and fly off with a leg lariat that sends PCW’s resident Jim Jones over the top rope. Fierce jumps down to the floor, reaching under the ring. He produces a rainbow cup filled with a reddish liquid. Despite the warnings of the zebra, he pours the liquid over the head of the leader of Salvation.
*Jerry Andrews: Did...Did he just pour Kool-Aid on Seromine?
Ace Anderson: I hope that’s what it was.
*Party hat cup!
*Seromine mails him to the nearest corner, following close behind with a European uppercut that nearly sends the F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S One over the ropes.
*Seromine eyeballs the zebra threateningly before yanking Dan to the mat unceremoniously.
*Lament Configuration!
*Seromine eliminates N. Saniti to make things 4-3...but with a combination of a double team dubstep, hatpin, CHEATING (lol) and a Cherry on Top, Kelli Starr gets a measure of revenge for the Deadly Intentions incident and eliminates the Cult leader for a 4-2 match.
*Grimm wastes no time in entering the ring, connecting with a backstabber kneedrop.
*Realizing she’s trapped, Kelli fights valiantly as Sadistic gets tagged in, but the Hangtown Horrors use the full extent of the five count to stomp the resistance out of her.
*As Grimm plants a foot on her hair to keep her in place, Sadistic climbs the neutral corner, executing a beautiful swan dive headbutt.
*The Winding Stair eliminates Kelli. 3-2.
*Dan Fierce leaps into the ring as Grimm spins around with a smirk on his face, but his joviality is short-lived when Fierce drives a boot to his midsection. MAKEOVER!
*Lantlas, Fierce and Majors vs Sadistic.
*She punishes him with knife-edge chops and finishes off with a kick to the head that causes him to reacquaint himself with gravity.
*Sadistic wraps his arms around her, tossing her with a release German suplex. He follows in with a double footed dropkick to her head that spins her round
like a record like a propeller nearly out of the ring.
*Sadistic delivers with Phenomenal!
*The damage done to her shoulder and neck, Sadistic stomps furiously, finally yanking her away from the ropes. He stands with her almost completely up before crashing her back down with a devastating DDT. He slings Lantlas to the ropes one last time, managing a tornado DDT that earns him a three count.
*Lantlas eliminated, 2-1. Thank you for the memories, Ris.
*A very grateful Lantlas wipes a tear from her eye as she waves to the crowd, making her way back to the locker rooms. She pauses one last time to wave at the fans and take a bow.
*Meanwhile, inside the ring, the action hasn’t stopped. Majors has kicked, punched, and stomped an already weary Sadistic.
*Dan stands Sadistic up (insert joke here), groping his chest (and here lol) before lighting it up with some “WOO-inducing” knife-edge chops.
*The Fabulous One turns around Sadistic around for a belly-to-back suplex, making sure to tantalize the crowd with a bit of grinding prior to dropping the Phenom on the back of his head.
*He stands Sadistic up in the corner, tossing a handful of glitter into the air before he leaps up for a hurricanrana, but Sadistic holds onto the ropes, letting Dan meet the mat without his victim.
*The Fabulous One staggers backwards, accidentally knocking Sadistic right into Fierce’s own team mate and Majors falls off the apron and onto the floor.
*Jerry Andrews: Majors is down on the arena floor now and he looks hurt.
Ace Anderson: He landed pretty awkwardly there.
*A Sadistic DDT from out of nowhere sends Dan Fierce to the back, making this 1-on-1!
*Rick Majors sees a worn out and beaten Sadistic struggling to get up from the mat and he takes advantage with a quick roll-up as Sadistic tries to get up!
*Rick Majors eliminates Sadistic!
WINNER (and Sole Survivor as The Fink would announce): Rick Majors
THOUGHTS: Wow. What a fucking match this was. It really lived up to the bill with everyone involved and was full of non-stop action. The match itself totally delivered the goods. Great job, Dan and again, a thank you to everyone who was involved in this. A PPV quality match on a Trauma for the ages...and you CAN’T TEACH THAT! Lol
I’ll provide feedback for 201 later tonight!
