First off, I'd like to say the the mule team did a wonderful job of making the show flow more smoothly and it looked like there weren't as many awkward transitions. It's a big step up from the last few shows; I know we as handlers have a part in that void by writing/not writing segments, yeah, but this week was much better.
Hiroshi Yukio vs Warwyk
Some good back and forth action here with the returning Hiroshi geting the victory. Actually, I wrote the match so I'm not going to toot my own horn, but I will say congratulations to Hiroshi! A 500lb man is pretty much immovable, I'm interested to see what the mules come up with in the matches to take someone that size off his feet, especially if he's facing an opponent who's not a big striker or submission wrestler.
High Tide vs Crazy Boy
Classic match, amirite? Two of the longest running members of PCW going at it again. So far not a lot of high flying action, but I like that even if both are billed as high flyers. After a while, after so many years of competing against someone, I'd imagine you'd stop being flashy and just start beating each others faces in. And as always, I enjoy the heart that CB shows, managing to survive a Half Mast only to be taken down by a second trademark. Congrats High Tide; time to put together a title run eh?
God damn Seromine is creepy. I will say that the red font used for his speech was a bit hard to read agaisnt the dark gray backdrop, but that's pretty minor. "Your fear lingers in this halls like a ghost." I like that line.
Olivia Xavier vs Kyle Shane
First off, the segment for these two earlier in the night piqued my interest. They have a match, but Kyle is trying to get it in? Olivia isn't having it? There's a bunch of alleys and paths to take here, so I was actually looking forward to seeing how this played out. The beginning was nice, with Shane trying to get her to reconsider but getting tooled on for his efforts, eventually having to cool Olivia off with a beer. I really liked the use of weapons, but moreso the use of food from the crowd! Anything goes, right? So far this is my favorite match of the night with lots of fluent back and forth action. A DRAW!?! Aww. But at least I enjoyed the finish. Good job to both of you, spicing up the Underground scene. I look forward to the next card to see where you guys go next.
Eira vs Nathan Saniti
I vow to do my best to call Saniti just that, and not Santini. Anyways, it's always a tossup when these two are involved. The back and forth action has been on point all night and this match is no different. The descriptions and commentary here are also great. Such a sudden ending though, maybe that head injury really is just too much?
I'm sorry, something just came up and I'll have to finish the last coulpe matches later. My life has been hectic lately but I just want my PCW time damnit!
