The room is pitch black, with nothing but heavy breathing in the background. The sounds of rustling and banging on furniture is imminent as it sounds like one is searching for something. A source of light, or anything to get rid of the heavy darkness. The sounds continue to grow as one can hear loud banging and a yelp piercing the darkness.
"Ouch," is all that is heard from a familiar voice as you can hear the sound of a drawer opening and closing. You can hear a yelp of glee as one can hear someone fumbling something in their hands and dropping it on the cold, hard floor. A gasp can be heard as you can hear the scrapes of one picking up the item off the floor. Unbearable silence looms until one can hear the striking of what sounds like a match on a matchbox. A tiny flicker of flame is seen as the match cuts through the darkness ever so slightly. The flicker of flame shows a silhouette of the figure's face.
One can see the light colored hair glinting in the flame, a look of worry on the face. The figure looks around his surroundings to see if he can see anything around him, but all he sees is empty, black void. One can hear heavy breathing from the individual as he stands up from the cold, hard floor and starts to slowly walk into the darkness, not sure of where he is going. One step at a time, the footsteps making a echoing sound against the floor. The flicker from the match gets a little brighter as the fire starts to burn down the stick of the match.
Eventually the match goes out and falls to the floor with a soft clank as one can hear a little more rustling and a yelp of joy cut through the darkness. One can hear a striking noise as a lighter appears in the shaking hands of the figure. The light from the lighter is enough to see the face of the figure that is caught in this darkness.
Tyrone "Crazy Boy" Smith.
Tyrone is currently standing in the middle of complete darkness, with nothing to see in all directions. Crazy Boy's eyes show confusion and fear as he holds out the lighter in front of him, walking blindly to the right. He seems to be listening intently to anything that happens around here, but all you hear is complete silence. The heavy breathing commences as the Crazy One carefully walks to the east, making sure there isn't anything that trips him or knocks him over. As he is holding the lighter steady in his hands, he sees something out in the distance. Crazy Boy squints and sees another light similar to the one he has.
"Hey! Who's there!?", Tyrone shouts as he starts running toward the light. When he notices the light is running the same speed towards him, he stops and cautiously looks at what is ahead of him. He takes a couple of steps toward the mysterious figure as it seems to take a couple of steps toward Crazy Boy. Pretty soon, the two figures are almost face to face to each other as Tyrone reaches out and tries to touch the figure, only to touch something hard and cold. He reaches the lighter out toward the figure and realizes that he is staring at a mirror.
"What the---" The Crazy One exclaims as he continues to touch the mirror, not sure what to make of it. As Tyrone continues to stare at the mirror, he doesn't notice that his reflection smiles and jumps toward the mirror. Before Crazy Boy can respond, his shadow springs out of the mirror and stares at him, Tyrone, obviously being scared out of his wits, cautiously reaches out and grabs his reflection. It feels cold and lifeless to the touch as Crazy Boy snaps his hand back, still not sure what to make out of all of this.
The reflection, cold, icy eyes staring at the Crazy One, grins a toothy grin as he starts to grow right in front of Tyrone's eyes and eventually becomes a gigantic, shadowy figure towering over the trembling veteran. Crazy Boy can only let out a squeak as the shadow roars deafening and reaches down to grab him. Tyrone can barely make out any sounds as the shadow throws him up in the air, his maw opened wide as Tyrone falls into the jaws of the shadow. A sharp pain escapes from Crazy Boy's body....
.... then all is silent.
A gasp is heard as a figure shoots straight up from a bed, sweat dripping down his forehead. The breathing is fast and rapid as he wipes the sweat off of him and turns his feet, letting them hit the floor. You can hear some turning and shuffling behind him as he turns his head and notices a young female lift her head from the pillow, eyes half open.
"Tyrone? What's wrong?" the female asks as the camera pans around to indeed show Tyrone "Crazy Boy" Smith, in his comfortable beach home in Biloxi, Mississippi. The female, who is his wife, Cassie, crawls across the bed and wraps her arms around Tyrone, hugging him warmly from behind.
"Another bad dream, Cass.", The Crazy One explained as he leans back and gives his wife a peck on the cheek before getting up from the bed and turning around and facing Cassie, shuddering at the memories of his dream he holds.
"It felt so real, Cass. I was trapped in nothing but darkness, then I found a mirror and my reflection came out and swallowed me whole after growing to gigantic proportions. I couldn't scream, I couldn't do anything but wait for the inevitable.", Tyrone explained as he shuffled his feet to the bathroom, staring at the mirror that hangs over the sink.
What is wrong with me?, Crazy Boy thought as he turned the water on in the sink and put his hands under it, splashing water on his tired face. Is the dark side of me really taking over that much?
Tyrone stared at himself in the mirror and smiled. His eyes were back to his baby blue and his complexion was back to normal, so it seems the Hall of Famer has beaten the darkness for now. But he knows that in a matter of moments, at anytime, the dark side of him could try to take over again, clawing his way out from deep within. Crazy Boy knows that he has to keep it contained, not only for himself, but for his family and his career. But to keep it contained is a completely different story. Soft footsteps can be head behind him toward the bathroom as his wife, wrapping a robe around her, walks into the bathroom and stands next to the Crazy One. She holds his hand as she can feel it trembling as she sighs and reaches up and turns Tyrone's head toward her and gives him a deep, passionate kiss.
"It was a dream, baby. Just a dream.", Cassie reassured him as she stepped behind Tyrone and started to rub his shoulders. "You shouldn't get so rattled about it. I know you have had a lot on your mind, but just force it out of your mind."
Tyrone smiles and slowly nods his head as he rubs his hand across Cassie's face as he walks from the bathroom and sits on the bed, staring at the wall. He seems to be lost in thought, as the dream hasn't completely left his mind.
"I think this dream is trying to tell me something, Cassie," Crazy Boy gestured as his face shows a look of concern as he rubs his eyes, trying to wipe the sleep out of them. "Something tells me that this fight with myself isn't over yet. I don't know how to do it, but I have to curb this darkness if it's the last thing I do.
Cassie walks out of the bathroom and sits down next to Tyrone on the bed, a worried expression appearing on her face. She grabs a hold of The Crazy One's hand again and puts her head softly against his shoulder, sighing to herself.
"Just stay calm and don't think about it. You still have a job to do, and you can't do it properly if your mind is jumbled like this," Cassie explained to Tyrone as you can see a couple of tears streaming from her eyes. Crazy Boy notices her sadness and puts his arms around her in a tight hug, a smile creeping across his face.
"Relax, baby. I got this. I will try to keep this out of my mind and focus on my upcoming match against High Tide," Crazy Boy retorted gleefully as he rubs the back of Cassie's head, her eyes closing from the relaxation. "I'll have to give it my all just to beat the guy. He has been a thorn in my side for so long, and since I've never won a match in the Icemann Tournament in 6 tries, what makes you think I'm going to be able to do it this time?"
Cassie pushes away from Tyrone as she gets up and paces around the room, a stern look appearing on her face. She turns to the PCW Superstar with a frown and shakes her head slowly.
"That's the kind of attitude that cause him to come out. You need to have more confidence in yourself, Ty. Believe in yourself and you can beat ANYONE in the PCW", Cassie exclaims with compassion as she leans over and kisses Tyrone one last time before crawling back over to her side of the bed.
"Now let's get some sleep. It's 3 AM. Hopefully you won't have any more dreams, eh?" she laughs as she takes the robe back off and crawls back under the blanket, winking at Tyrone before closing her eyes. Tyrone sits up for a minute longer, his thoughts coming back to him like a wave.
It's true with my ability I could beat anyone in PCW, but with my mindset the way it is, could I really do it? I need to win this match more than anyone thinks. My career is so in flux right now that I don't know if I can truly get it back if I don't start winning and winning now." Tyrone thinks with a scowl on his face. He turns and adjusts his pillows and crawls under the blanket and closes his eyes.
