I’m so sorry for no showing again. I don’t think I can do this anymore. Ive run out of ideas and I’m stuck. I’ve tried so hard to think of where to go with my current story but nothing is happening. i don’t know what to do..
I’ve loved doing this but I think my time has come to say goodbye.
I will be around the boards but only as an observer not as a participant.
Thank you to everyone who has worked with me and treated me kindly during my time here. For someone with Aspergers your welcoming and friendlyness has made me very happy. You’re all awesome.
Simon

What about if you reinvented Alexa...or came back with a totally new character?
Then again, we can't play this game forever, so if this is really it, we'll see you around the boards!

Sometimes you just have to vomit something up and hope for the best.
But back to the writers block, (heh) sorry to see you go...but Nate is right. Do something outlandish with Alexa, something uncharacteristic. It opens up a whole new avenue of possibilities. I can't say that I blame you, though, I'm feeling pretty burned out myself. It's not like we're going to kick you out for no showing, so if you change your mind we'll be here. Hopefully.
Also, sorry for making fun of your forfeit announcement with my roleplay title. It was an impulsive joke, I thought it was funny. I still do, but I wasn't trying to offend.

If it feels like youre stuck in a rut with Alexa, go against the grain. Take away some of the elements that have defined what you think of when you typically do Alexa with. Take away all of them if you want. She has a manager and a family... what if they were list to her and she had to rebuild herself from the ground uo, with no help? Or move in a new direction and met new people?
Just spitballing ideas because I would hate to see you go. Or maybe bring back Hiroshi.

In the 17-18 years I've been in this hobby, one thing I've come to realize is, stepping away for a bit (IC, OOC, or both) can be one of the best things to refresh your desire to write. Not only that, but can also give you some time to reflect on an established character and build more stories, or create a new character to come back with.
Sometimes a few days, other times it could be a few years. I think I went 4-5 years at one point without writing a RP. I'm going on 2 years (and counting) this time, too.
But everyone needs a breather from time to time.

This is year six of being clean of this disgusting, nasty habit...
Sorry, wrong board, writer's block, plot rot, story-bored, call it what you want, it happens. Its normal. We have all suffered a certain flavor.
If you genuinely like to write, DO NOT stop, just take a break from wrestling roleplaying and do short stories with other characters. Search writing prompts and write different ideas with different characters. Remember, there is always fanfiction. Also, writing for local newspapers, review sites and commentary/opinion sites will help you keep writing and give you culture to draw from for your characters.
I hope you stick around OOC.
