THE FOLLOWING VIDEO WAS POSTED TO GERARD ANGELO’S PERSONAL TWITTER ACCOUNT.
The video starts with a close up of Gerard Angelo’s face. He looks tired and a six o’clock shadow covers his conventionally handsome face. He has a grey hood pulled up half way on his head and the background is dark so we can’t make much out. The quality of the video shows that it’s being shot from a cell phone.
“So for the past week and a half,” The Hollywood Hero says, his face lacking any mirth, “Everyone has been asking me the same question. I got get my morning coffee, I get asked. I go out to lunch, I get asked. I go take a shit, and the bathroom attendant is asking me the question.”
He continues staring into the camera of his phone.
“The question is overtime, ‘How do you feel about what happened at Collision Course?’. Now I haven’t answered anyone and I’ve been getting this question since I walked back to gorilla after the match.” The self proclaimed Man Without Peer seems to sit down from the way the darkened back ground moves as the camera shakes a bit. “The reason I didn’t answer is because I didn’t want to say something that I would wind up regretting.”
He strokes his stubble as he ponders what to say.
“So here’s my answer. I think what happened was absolute bullshit. From the turnbuckle exploding, to the referee, everything that happened seemed to be a little too convenient," There is an anger behind his hazel eyes now as his lips flatten into a thin line.
“So what I think is that I was right all along that this company was trying to keep me from getting opportunities. I think this was a massive conspiracy by PCW management to protect their little golden boy, Kyle Shane. Kyle Shane knew he couldn’t beat me. PCW knew he couldn’t beat me.”
He scratches his beard as he lets his frustrations out for the first time since the PPV.
“There are some involved in the decision making process in this company that are scared to move into the future. They are afraid to take risks and listen to the growing movement that is among the PCW Faithful. They don’t want to see new faces in high places. The people want to see new stars. They want the deserving to get their opportunities," He pushes the hood off his head and runs his fingers through his hair. “The management around here would still rather have the same, safe, matches over and over again until this company closes its doors again then give new guys a chance. They would rather watch Grimm and Stormm wrestle like they have been for the last twenty years while Kyle Shane cuts the same promos about jerking off to video games that he’s done since last year. Look at what happened to the Underground Division when it got pumped full of new blood. It’s been the hottest title in PCW since October! But that’s all that they will let happen. They had to gimmick a ring post and send in a ref with a fast count to keep the strap on their hand picked champion.”
He rolls his neck, the pop audible in the video.
“And if you think that’s just sour grapes, well remember, turnbuckles just don’t explode everyday. It’s not everyday that a random referee who was sent from the back has a different opinion of a pinball then the referee who was assigned to the match. Just think about it people! Something here isn’t right. I’m trying to open your eyes to this. I’m a catalyst for change. And those in power fear that change so they’re trying to stifle me before I can do something.”
Gerard suddenly smiles at the camera.
“I’m going to speak to the so called champion right now. Kyle, you couldn’t beat me. Just remember that. You couldn’t unlock your ‘Final Achievement’. You needed a shit ton of help to walk out of Collision Course with that title still in your grasp. You are a joke and when I get my chance again I’m going to rip that title out of your undeserving hands and usher in an era of change that this place so badly needs.”
He goes to put the phone down but suddenly snaps it back up.
“Oh and I almost forgot. Anybody from PCW management whose listening, whether that be the board of directors of Loki himself. My lawyer tells me I have a case for an unsafe working environment. Now I’m sure you don’t want an investigation into what happened because if my theory is proven right, well how would that look for you guys?”
Gerard lets the question hang in the air for a bit.
“Do the right thing. If not for me, for the fans. And yourselves.”
The video stops and cuts to black.
