Anybody been watching these? I watched the Benoit one first, I'm on the Montreal Screwjob now. Pretty interesting stuff, even though I know both of these stories. I'm gonna have to watch the whole series.

I've seen the Bruiser Brody and Liz/Savage episodes. It's a good series. Definitely will check out the rest at some point.

The Screwjob was a very interesting watch too. I had been too young to really appreciate Brett Hart so I only knew what was told of me through word of mouth. I believe Brett and Cornette, and genuinely feel bad for Earl Hebner.
Vince Russo only cemented his place in my mind as a smarmy douchebag. I could read right through his lies; maybe it was the overdone New York accent but he even said he wasn't asked to be on the documentary, he just wanted to. Fuck him. As for Michaels, well...one of the best performers of all time and still one of my favorites, but it's hard not to lose respect for someone who can be such a cunt.

SS 97 was one of the shows I ordered on PPV. I still remember my reaction to what happened: "WTF?? He never tapped out!"
I was pretty mad about the ending. If you haven't read it, I highly recommend Bret's book.
I grew up when the Hart Foundation was a team, so I got to see Bret transition to singles action and his ascension to being a huge star. Hands down one of the best to ever lace a pair of boots.

Hands down one of the best to ever lace a pair of boots. Yeah, I cannot deny that and I agree with you. Watching some of his clips after watching DSotR he was a legit badass and a true performer. It's a real tragedy how neither party could make it an amicable split. It ruined his career, but...small silver lining is, it definitely birthed the Mr. Mcmahon character, who I believe is the best heel in all of wrestling. Even if you don't like him, that's the point; he booked it that way.

What did you think of Bret in WCW? Also, have you seen this before? It's a really good watch if not.

I watched the Benoit episode because a rip of it was played on a FB group and it was... fucking haunting. Now I want to watch the others.

The Von Eric one was pretty haunting too. I never realized it was such a sad story.

Bret plays the victim too much. He did tell Vince he wouldn't drop the title to HBK even though he was on his way out. I jsut watched him on the Stone Cold show on the Network. I get his point of view but I'm sure Vince had a horrible vision of seeing Bischoff with his title on Nitro.

Finished the Benoit episode about 35 mins ago.
Saw the list for S2 and am looking forward to the Dino Bravo episode, as well as Owen's.
Looks like New Jack is next. That, uh, that should be interesting lol.

New Jack is a pos scumbag. Never liked that guy.
Next episode is on the Brawl For All tournament. "Dr. Death" Steve Williams was supposed to win, but Bart Gunn didn't get the memo.

Lol yeah, it was terrible. It was one of Russo's ideas. The company had big plans for Dr. Death (a feud w/Austin). Bart Gunn was punished by being booked against Butterbean and then got sent packing right after.

Saw Brawl For All last week. Likely won't watch the Snuka episode. Dino Bravo is next, which should be interesting.
