I can't believe I just thought of this. When meeting a wrestler in public and saying hello (respectfully, of course,) is it more or less respectful to call them by their real name instead of their character name?

I would imagine that's more a matter of preference on their end. Something that could be inquired about on the fly, that is?
For me, since I don't really know many of their IRL names anymore, if I were to run into a superstar/wrestler like that in public, I would probably initiate with their moniker, and if any sort of conversation ensued after introducing myself, ask if they'd prefer one over the other.
This does make me think of the time when I was visiting a friend in Tampa for a weekend several years ago, and had the most awkward brunch of my life after Mandy Rose and her boyfriend/fiancé got seated next to us, and then proceeded to yell at each other and argue for the next hour.

LOL Justin. Yeah I mean depending on whom it might be, I would go with their character name. I mean you can't really go wrong with either, since their character name is really an alias for them.

Tony Atlas works out & does personal trainer gigs at the Auburn YMCA. Everyone just calls him Tony. xD I think Stormm's right and it really just comes down to the individual in question. Sorta like how some PhD's are chill, and some didn't spend 10 years in PhD school to be called anything but Dr, thank you -very- much.
