Tuesday, May 30, 2006
Live on E! from the Pure Class Arena in Greenville, South Carolina.
In the beginning: The show opens with a fantastic display of blue and white pyrotechnics, getting the crowd even more pumped up than they were before. The crowd scream in anticipation before Mark Long introduces the first contest.
Match One: Singles Contest
‘Dark Lightning’ Justin Adams vs. Pegasus.
Referee: Roberto Garcia
Match Details: Pegasus made his way to the ring first, getting a good reception, his cult following cheering for him. The debuting, Justin Adams was next with the crowd unsure of whether to support him or not. The match began with the PCW veteran taking the rookie down with numerous holds. After a couple of minutes of wearing down the new comer, Pegasus gets him to his feet and begins hitting numerous suplexes. Pegasus hits a three snap suplexes in a row and covers Adams but Dark Lightning stays in the match with a kick out. Pegasus hits another couple of suplexes, a northern light followed by a high vertical suplex before another cover, this time hooking the leg. Again Adams kicks out. With each kick out Adams gets a bigger cheer as the crowd warm to him. Pegasus, realising he has to turn to the power moves to put him away, puts Adams over his shoulders. He looks for a Death Valley driver but Adams slips behind. Adams shoves Pegasus into the ropes and he rebound, staggering backwards into a schoolboy. Pegasus manages to kick out. Pegasus charges at Adams but Dark Lightning ducks the clothesline and hits a neck breaker. Pegasus gets to his feet instinctively and walks into a spine buster. Adams hooks the leg but gets close fall. Pegasus is hauled up by Adams and whipped across the ring. Pegasus runs straight into a twit-a-whirl back breaker. Pegasus manages to stay on his feet and walks to the corner. Adams follows and hits Pegasus’ face into the turnbuckle. Pegasus falls to the mat as Adams goes to the ring apron. He catapults himself over the top rope but misses with the leg drop. Pegasus had his scouted and gets to his feet, waiting for Adams. Adams gets up and walks straight into The Redeemer. Pegasus covers for the win.
Winner: Pegasus via pin fall.
Plans for the Genesis Championship
Details:
(An unexpected appearance by the PCW President puzzles the crowd. Alejandro Walker heads to the ring and grabs a microphone, waiting for the crowd to quieten down.)
“The Captain” Alejandro Walker: Nows Ise bet yous getting sick of me comin down to this here ring and talking about the Genesis Cahmpionship. But, as yous all know, there was no contest at that there Collision Course. So wes still has to find the first ever PCDubya Genesis Champion. So I is booking two matches for the next two weeks. Them there two matches are as follows. Next week wes will see Rodney Phoenix facing Mark Brown. The week after that, The Byrd and Justin Michaels will face off. The winners will face each other for the Genenis Championship at PCDubya next Pay-Per-View event, Return to Glory.
(The announcement receives a huge pop from the crowd who love the booking.)
Now, Mark Brown isn’t here tonight and neither is opponent Atlas McNight, so wes will not bes seeing them tonight because theys cant bes bothered to turn up, but, Mark Brown, yous better be making sure yous are at next weeks show to face Rodney Phoenix. Thank yous.
(With that, The Captain drops the microphone and returns backstage.)
Match 2: Singles Contest
“Dynamite” Dan Ellis vs. James Keenan
Referee: Eddie Lane
Match Details: The match commences after both competitors make their way to the ring to their respective entrance themes. Both men square off in the middle of the ring with a collar and elbow tie up. Ellis gets the upper hand and pushes Keenan back towards the turnbuckle and proceeds to hold onto the tie up as the referee counts up to 3. Ellis relinquishes the hold and walks back into the centre of the ring whilst sending a steely stare to his opponent. Keenan emerges from the corner and locks up again with Ellis, but Ellis sees it coming and ducks Keenan’s arms, moves to his back and delivers a release german suplex. As Keenan is on the floor, Ellis walks over and hits him with several forearms to the side of the face. ‘Dynamite’ picks up Keened but is met with an elbow to the midsection, then another and another until Keenan sets up a vertical suplex and hits it. Keenan picks up Ellis and whips him across the ring and, on his return, lift him up and over into a back body drop. Ellis climbs to his feet and runs at Keenan who meets him with a clothesline and then another at the returning aggressor. Keenan then whips Ellis into the corner hard and belly to belly suplexes the rebounding opponent. Keenan then pulls Ellis to his feet and hoists him up into a fisherman’s suplex before landing it with immense force. Keenan then goes to climb the turnbuckle facing into the ring. As he reaches the top and balances precariously Ellis springs back into life after the impact and rushes at the ropes, thus upsetting Keenan’s standing and sending him crashing down painfully onto the turnbuckle. Ellis then climbs himself and grabs Keenan’s head, puts it under his arm and lifts him up into the air before sending them both crashing down with a superplex. The impact takes it out of Dan Ellis and the few moments it takes for him to make the cover means Keenan is able to kick out after two. Dan Ellis gets Keenan to his feet and leans him against the ropes. He whips Keenan across the ring and Keean returns off the ropes. Dan Ellis throws a tired clothesline and misses. Keenan goes behind and, out of nowhere, hits the Closing Song and quickly makes the cover. 1…2…3!
Winner: James Keenan via pin fall.
Anthony Douglas talk Sinn: "Devil's Dance" plays and the crowd and Anthony Douglas makes his entrance. He slides into the ring and demands a microphone.
ANTHONY
It's been a little while since I've been here, and I know how much some people in the PCW wanted to see my ass get beat by Seth Sinn. I know how some people here in the PCW loved watching Seth Sinn take a lead pipe and beating my skull in with it. Seth Sinn sits and cries over his wife cheating on him, then can't develop the nuts to go after and beat the man who knocked up his wife. You all saw Melissa at the PPV talk me out of beating down Ian Brody. . .someone done something like that to her, I'd hunt the son of a bitch down, find the dirtiest floor in the city and use his ass as a mop. But, no. . .no. Seth shows his weakness and tells the world that he forgives his wife and the guy who slept with her.
Seth Sinn may forgive both of them, but Seth still hasn't been forgiven for sh*tting on my family. What man would forgive that? Seth Sinn is a coward. His wife stole whatever testicles he had, put them in a mason jar for the world to see! This nutless wonder then comes out and takes his anger at his wife out on me! Seth, you may have forgiven your wife, but sometimes forgiveness is weakness! You have a fight tonight against Ace Anderson tonight. You can drag your ass down to that fight. I will be right there watching with there watching Ace kick your ass. And I promise you I will not get involved in the fight in any way, shape or form! You see, Seth. . .the thing is, Non Compos Mentis has something I want, and that's the North American Championship! As I said before, the time of Anthony Douglas not caring about championships is over! So, Seth. . .I won't interfere with your match, but what I will do is pound and beat your ass until your vital organs turn into liquid sh*t after the match!
(The crowd go crazy at the prospect of a brutal brawl in the making.)
ANTHONY
Seth, I said nothing was settled between us and you know, deep down in whatever the hell you call a spine, that your time has passed! Right now, all you need to do is go back to the bar, buy a cheap bottle of scotch and dig back some of the talent you had in your prime! I'm supposed to face the Byrd tonight. . .I'd rather kick your ass into a retirement home, Seth. I'd fight your ass in any match you want! Anthony Douglas' time has come and there isn't a damn thing you, the management or the PCW can do about it! Seth Sinn will know that when I beat his ass into silly putty!
Anthony throws the microphone down as The Byrd makes his entrance.
Match 3: Genesis Rules
“Wolverine” Anthony Douglas vs. The Byrd
Referee: Roberto Garcia
Match Details: Byrd and Douglas begin to circle each other in the ring, tying up Byrd strikes first by tossing Douglas to the ground. Byrd turns to showboat to the crowd and is chop blocked from behind by Douglas. With Byrd on the ground Douglas begins to kick him in the stomach. With Byrd on the ground holding his stomach, Douglas drops to his knees and begins to choke Byrd with his forearm. The referee begins to count 1…2…3…4…Douglas lets go at the count of four and begins to drag Byrd to his feet. Byrd shoots a jab into Douglas’s stomach and catches him with the Byrd Droppings. Douglas slams into the ground as Byrd goes for the pin…1…2…and Douglas kicks out. Byrd quickly rolls Douglas back over but doesn’t even get a one count. Byrd tries to set him up for another ride but it’s reversed into a spine buster by Douglas. Douglas rolls Byrd up in a Boston crab and begins to cinch back on it. Byrd quickly makes it to the ropes and the referee calls for Douglas to break the hold. Retreating to the far side of the ring, Douglas launches at Byrd in an attempted Clothesline from Hell. But Byrd sees it coming and pushes the ref in front of him. With the ref knocked down, Byrd hits Douglas with a low blow and then slides out of the ring in search of a weapon. Douglas finds his base as Byrd slides into the ring with a chair and starts to sprint towards him. Douglas catches Byrd out of the corner of his eyes and turns with a wild haymaker, sending the chair bouncing off the skull of Byrd. Douglas drags Byrd to the center of the ring and ties him up in the KMN. Byrd struggles to make it to the ropes but after being repeatedly pulled back to the center, Byrd has no choice but to tap out. With the ref knocked out though, there is no one to call for the bell, so Byrd remains locked into the hold. Finally a referee runs out from the back and calls for the bell.
Winner: Anthony Douglas via submission.
After the Match: The music of Alejandro Walker echoes throughout the arena as the PCW president makes his presence felt once again. Anthony Douglas looks up to the stage, putting a hold on his celebrations.
“The Captain” Alejandro Walker: Congratulations Wolverine, that there was mighty impressive. So impressive that I’s already began booking matches for that there Pay-Per-View, Return to Glory. Anthony Douglas, yous just gots yourself a title match. Yous will be facing Non Compos Mentis for that there North American Championship at Return to Glory. As for next week, I’s is also booking a match between Anthony Douglas and Seth Sinn, in a lead pipe match. Hows yous like that?
Alejandro then retires to backstage as Anthony Douglas smiles at being given exactly what he wants.
Jerry Andrews: Wow! Alejandro is making matches left and right. Anthony Douglas vs. Non Compos Mentis at Return to Glory! And next week, Douglas and Sinn one on one in a lead pipe match. Wow!
