The scene opens, as the camera pans around in the inside of the Miami church. People can be seen, knelt down taking in a few prayers. Benjamin Banks, who was usually seen in the very front row, could not be seen anywhere. It wasn’t like Benjamin to skip mass. Then, Father Clint asks for all to stand, as a special guest had a few words he would like to say. The guest stood; wearing a long white coat, similar to the one Father Clint was wearing. The two standing side by side looked very similar. Though, with the lining of the white coat; you could tell between the two by the muscle definition. When Father Clint ordered silence, the guest walked quietly to the podium. People tried to get a closer look at the man, but the hood was hiding all trace of identity. A moment passed, then the guest began his passage.
Guest- Good morning, this morning I want to talk a brief moment about my faults, and about memories that have really touched me, these past couple weeks. I won’t share my name now; I find it unnecessary at this time because the issue I’m discussing with you all has no need for names. But, for the record I will introduce myself in relation to this issue. I am at an age now, where faults can determine the remainder of your life. As a child our faults were usually cleaned up by our parents. Now, I am at the age where my parents are only going to support me, not allow me to live off them. Sometimes I sit, and wonder what if I was still a child. All this trouble could be fixed with a phone call, or an arranged meeting. I think this could possibly be one of the main factors us as adults had to surpass growing up; that being, becoming independent. But, then I get to thinking, if we had people solving problems for us, we would live in a world of darkness. You see, for us to learn, we must learn from either learning by the book, or getting through our problems without much loss. So now that you understand my focus, I will talk about these problems of mine. First, the major problem I’ve been faced with. I have become tied between two things, the world and one single individual. The reason I am tied between the two is; is deals with my occupation, along with a large sum of money. The money is not my idea of problems, it’s my occupation. I’ve been through a lot with this person, some violence, along with verbal put downs. My future lies within these next few days, we will meet again, him and I. One final meeting that will answer all the questions. Prior to this, I received a powerful message from god, which game me the power to visit past memories. With this, I shared a few touching moments with my past; I have never been so close with that person since. Finally, to finish I would like to share with you a few words regarding one man, whose beliefs in me carried me through all that was pulling me back. Unfortunately this man past; just three weeks ago, there hasn’t been a day where I’ve looked to my left, and for just a brief moment actually thought he was with me. As I’m sure you can tell by that comment, we were very close. Though, the truth is we weren’t. This man was almost a figment of my imagination. Like an angel sent to me from god himself. His passing was left in my name, which I know will remain forever in my heart. After the night of his passing, I swore to achieve all that he had wanted in me. This very well could be my worst fear, the thing he wanted most in me could be lost in only a few days. What am I to do if I lose all I promised? Life will continue yes, but a big emptiness will carry me throughout my days living. Thank you. In the name of the father, the son, and the holy spirit amen.
Father Clint walks up to the podium as the guest starts walking down. The camera slowly starts to pull back towards to doors; leading to the outside. The camera fades to black.
The scene now opens at the front of the church. Crowds of people swarm; each trying to get to their vehicles. When the front of the church clears, all that is left is two men, one being an unknown. The other, is non other than Benjamin Banks. The two are seen from above talking, the camera follows in.
Unknown man- So Benji, did you hear that fella in their today. He knows his stuff.
Benjamin- Oh, well I guess he’s been around.
Unknown- Yeah, well anyway partner. I gatta get going before Lois starts to wonder. See you tomorrow, same time?
Benjamin- Yeah, same time, have a good one.
The man crosses the street leaving Benjamin standing alone infront of the church. Benjamin begins to smile, then he quietly whispers aloud. “Well, thank gosh no one in there knew who I really was.” Benjamin remained in front of the Church building for several minutes; before realizing he had an appointment with his agent in only 10 minutes. Benjamin rushed getting to his car. He drove off, trying to best to remain level with the highway speed. He arrived at the Rodgerson Agent Firm in only 8 minutes. He took his time getting ready, for he had no idea what his agent wanted to talk about. When he opened the front door, Mr. Rodgerson’s assistant was right beside the door.
Assistant- Benjamin Banks I presume, right this way Mr Rodgerson would like to see you now.
Benjamin just nodded his head, then followed behind the assistant. She lead him into a long hallway, which at the end was two large swinging wooden doors. As the two stood at the doorway, she opened the door slightly then spoke in.
Assistant- Benjamin Banks is here now sir.
Mr Rodgerson- Alright, bring him inside.
Benjamin just steps inside without looking for any act by the assistant. When he walked in, he began looking around. Everywhere there were trophies, pictures of clients, art, and even music posters. Benjamin thought “This guy is really a wide ranged guy.”
Benjamin- Woah! You scared me sit.
Rodgerson who was standing right behind Benjamin replied.
Mr Rodgerson- Well I’m sorry. I just like to play a few games before I start my work. Helps clear the mind.
Benjamin- Oh right, well in that case play a few more.
Mr Rodgerson begins to laugh, then he points with his finger, directing Benjamin to sit.
Mr Rodgerson(Agent)- So, Benjamin I have you here because it came my attention you were proposing a trade between your career and some money for a couple of poor kids. Why would you ever decide to do this? It’s outrageous. You realize if you lose, you lose me; the top agent in Miami.
Benjamin- I understand, and just for the record, these kids aren’t just poor kids.
Agent- Well, what are they?
Benjamin- They are kids!
Agent- Well whatever you say. On to business, if you are serious on risking your life I will sign my approval.
Benjamin sits back, sinking deep into the large black leather chair.
Benjamin- I am sure, sign the paper.
Agent- As you wished, just remember your risking your life, and the best agent in the world for what? Some kids… Here’s an Idea, do it for money. Get yourself a new house, maybe a car.
Benjamin cuts in.
Benjamin- You know what, I need an agent that believes in me. You are doing it the money, not for me.
Agent- You think I need you? I have dozens of clients making more than you right now sitting at home scratchin’ their balls. I don’t need you to survive. You need me!
Benjamin- Well, you know what. I’ll be the first client to ever say this. Screw your money! I’m out.
Agent- Where are you going to find an agent? I’m the only one you know of.
Benjamin- The only agent I need, is what you see in front of you. Here’s your approval paper back. I will risk it all on my own turf. Don’t bother getting your nose dirty for me. I don’t need you making more money off me. Have a good day SIR.
Benjamin slams the door shut, the begins breathing rapidly, much faster than before. It was probably the cause from all the commotion. With that put before him, Benjamin Banks opens the door, and walks out into the opens sunlight. The camera begins to fade, as the seen grows in brightness.
