Pima County Sheriffs were called out to an altercation at local bar on the Northwest side of Tucson.
Apparently, the bar manager asked a patron to leave, but the patron refused. Local wrestler Anthony Douglas Weinstien, then assisted the manager in asking the patron to leave.
Sgt. Francis McLean, the PCSO's media liaison then said the altercation got out of control.
"Apparently, Mr. Weinstein knew the owner and was assisting the manager in removing an unruly patron. The patron, Steven Michaels, then confronted Mr. Weinstein and made a few inappropriate comments about Mr. Weinstein's family and profession."
"I tried to calm Tony (Mr. Weinstein) down," bar manager Brad Johnston said. "It was working, until the customer punched Tony in the side. Then I lost control and called 911 as Tony defended himself."
No charges were filed against Mr. Weinstein, a professional wrestler in the PCW and a three time convicted felon for aggravated assault, felony DUI and aggravated assault with intent to kill. However, the bar patron, Mr. Michaels, has been charges with at least 6 misdemeanors and 4 felonies, according to Sgt. McLean. He is currently being held at the Pima County jail, in lieu of $100,000 bail.
