Today is August 1st, which means it is the day I told myself I would make my decision on whether I was going to officially reopen the PCW or not. My decision?...
PCW will be reopening.
With that said, I'll have an official post about it later today (it's 7 AM and I haven't even been to bed yet, although I am on my way there). Along with the official post I'll write up, I will also be, for lack of a better term, spamming the site to a bunch of people, hoping to find gold of interest with any of the people who get the invitation to join up. I still don't think I can do this alone though, so if you haven't passed the word that PCW is reopening and seeking talent onto your eWrestling brethren, it would be much appreciated if you would. The more handlers we have, the faster I'll be able to post up the first card back, which means the faster we get things going on here.
Speaking of cards, I do have plans for the first show back, and, I AM working on ideas...specifically involving the World Championship. Although I don't have a roster in place, let alone a card, I do plan on awarding the World Championship during the aforementioned show. My original thought was to have a Royal Rumble type of format to award the title.
But I being the poll-forward type of person I that I am, decided to open up for suggestions. Up above, I have three standard-esque match types* to award a title, especially in a more rp-oriented fed (as compared to angle-based feds). The options are listed by my personal preference, but I'll go with whatever the fed decides. You have the option to pick 2 formats, and at the end of the poll, whatever format has the most votes, will be the one we use. And of course, this poll will be kept up until the first card is made.
Lastly, I'll like to say that, I am going to try really hard within the next couple of days/weeks to move things as fast as possible with the signing of new talent and hopefully having the website all fixed to. But I am going to give myself a realistic deadline. I want to be able to have a first card by AT LEAST the 9th of September. The sooner the better, though. That gives me about a month to secure enough handlers to do such. If I am not able to do it, then I will probably close the PCW again. And that's something I don't want to do for a long time.
But more details will come out later. I'm starting to feel as if I am writing in circles. The letters on the screen are blurring up on me and I'm unsure if even half the shit I wrote made sense. My apologies for the bad writing and the rambling...my mind is falling asleep on me. More details to follow later on.

So I got a little sidetracked earlier today, and didn't finish the post I wanted to put up today until maybe five minutes ago. The link to that post will be followed after the jump. The post is suppose to be a combination of IC and OOC; I'm sure you can find the distinction. PCW Press Conference Highlights

Recruitment is not going so well on my end. Since I haven't competed in a fed for well over 4 years, most of the efed people I have on my list are either in the PCW already, had already been offered a chance before and recently, or are too committed to another fed to take up another task. A lot of my "newer" contacts have gave me a lot of, "I'll keep you informed" type comments after talking with me about potentially joining the fed.
Needless to say, we're still at maybe 7, not counting Tom, Chrissy, or Rick. I need at least 5 more handlers, and hopefully a few more than that, before I can get this thing going. If everyone already in the fed is able to just bring in 1 new member, we'd have enough to start up immediately. I know that may be asking a bit much, but I'm just saying...
Anyway, I still have about a month before my personal deadline is up. I really want to get the fed going again. Hell, I even wrote the introduction and opening segment results for a card we don't even have yet; that's how interested I am in reopening the fed. I just need other people to join up to. :-(

So, not sure if my opinion in this really matters all that much, but I would like to see a royal rumble for the first show. The same as it was when Icey first signed me on to participate in the PCW. I suppose I should let this poll be answered by the members that will be taking part of the show and everything, but I also do feel that it truly is one of the best ways to give everyone that does take part in it the chance to win it. Granted, the other ways could do it too... but I just feel that the RR is the best way to go. I mean... let's face it... might as well start up with a bang again, because wrestling has class here at PCW. And what better way then a royal rumble.

What's the deal?
We are fourteen days into this announcement and waiting.
How's the recruiting going? Is it going?
If recruiting is an issue, rally the troops! Everyone pass the word. I'm sure Luis is opening the doors to just about anyone, even the dude that treaten to feed him to the fishes. I've looked around the net, nearly everyone is involved elsewhere. I've dug my little black book out and spread the word. I think Luis said we have six or seven confirmations. If we all ask one person and get them in here that's 12/14 people. More than enough for a starter card.
Luis, you may be hearing from Speight, Masters, Cain and possibly Gil and Michaels on my part. I'll let you make the final decision on each. I know some have a shakey history. I'll dig into my old SCW and CHANCE rosters this week.
Hell, I have a shakey history and Luis invited me personally.
Everyone made a big fuss until Frosti gave in, now we have to do our part and get some applicants in the waiting room.
My nickel on the subject. ~ JV

Thank you, Joe.
At the present moment, the current roster looks like this: Grimm, Silence, Marcus Murdoch, Stuart Robbins, Lantlas, Ace Anderson, Jacob Roth, one other, and I believe Anthony Douglas is set on returning.
I had three (3) others who agreed to join, but then backed out.
We also have Tom, Chrissy, and Rick interested in a part-time role, but with them part-time, I can't count them as active members of the roster. Jake also has some interest, but at the moment he can't guarantee activity.
That said, we now are back down to nine (9) confirmed. I'm looking to open the doors at twelve (12). That means we need around another three (3) confirmations. From the sounds of things, the people already confirmed are more than interested in the reopen. I just can't do anything without a roster.
As I said before, I'll say again. It's tougher for me to recruit now than it has ever been. My contact list is running thin at the moment, due to me being out of the game for a long time. I definitely need others to pass the word. I know Stuart and Joe have been throwing out the invitation to people, and I believe Nate has made mention to people. I just need another three (3) or so before we can begin.
Now, onto what you said, Joe...
...I am offering people who may have ended things with me and/or the PCW rocky another chance to rejoin the roster. All I ask is that any person coming into the PCW, shaky past or not, are committed to roleplaying at least once a week. I do not want ANYONE to join who won't be consistent and active. To the list of guys you mentioned:
Quinn Masters- He was in the PCW on more than one occasion. I believe he has been put into top-tier angles about four times, and yet, never roleplayed. I can't have that again. He's welcome to rejoin, as long as he could dish out one rp most weeks.
Justin Michaels- Justin was a guy I considered a friend. We've had some issues, which resulted in us not talking anymore. I have no problem with him rejoining. He and I don't need to be bestfriends or talk for us both to enjoy the game and the community. He'd be welcomed back with open arms, if he is able to rp.
Glyn Speight- I've tried talking Glyn into joining the PCW since he randomly popped in online a few back. He wants to get rid of the "ring rust" before he "joins a top-notch fed." If you can get him in, I'd love to have him.
Gil- I don't know who this is, so I have no comments on him. If you can get him to join, that'd be sweet. As long as he is not a disruptive person and he's active and consistent, I'd love to have him or anyone else, for that matter.
Point of the rant is this: We need another 3-5 handlers before I reopen the doors. I'm open to just about anyone, of any skill level, to join up as long as they're not disruptive, they're active, they're consistent, and they can follow the rules. So, come on...help a brotha out!

Sounds familiar. I'll admit i made mistakes in the way i left too. But now i'v admitted these mistakes and i'm back talking with Luis after about a year of nothing. Now i'v put my name forward to be part of PCW on a part time basis. If i wasnt still involved in my other fed i would hesitate very little in becoming full time.
I hope some of these guys with rocky pasts will put aside their differences and help a great fed. I'd like to think i'm doing what i can too.

I've spread the Word as much as possible. Not many eWrestling contacts on my lists. But indeed. I'm back as well. Glad to see everyone hale and hearty.

It appears Tom's part-time status is a little more full-time than I assumed, and so, he'll be added as part of the active roster. There is also a new guy joining (he's already registered to the forums) so that brings the total to 11.

Max Powers has just joined the roster, bringing the total to 12. Which means, we have enough to start up! I'll be hopefully getting a card up on Tuesday for the following week, while I also continue trying to recruit and getting those who are new to the PCW to fill out their profiles.
