I was never an Eddie fan. Tripple H is very good and though I'm not the biggest fan I have to vote for him here

If Eddie was still alive, I doubt he'd get any votes against the Game. A lot of the Eddie-awesomeness is perceived through the posthumous lens, I feel.

Yeah, i was at the event here in MN the night Eddie died. Before the event I hated his character, but once I found out what happened I couldn't help but join the fans in Eddie chants; out of respect.

I respect the guy, he was a great worker, but they make him out to be some sort of iconic legend, and I just don't see it.

HHH doesn't really put anyone over that much, especially when he is Champion
Gotta go with my man Eddie. He was one of my favs in the late 90's early 2000s

That's five years of putting someone over.

To be fair, he didn't compete at WrestleMania XXIII, and, if memory serves me correct, he was slated to win the title off of Cena, to avenge his lost to Cena at the previous year's WrestleMania. And just because he hasn't won many matches at WrestleMania within the last five years, doesn't mean he hasn't went over a lot of people in that time. He buried Londrick. He and Michaels kicked the shit out of the Spirit Squad (mind you, the Spirit Squad was able to defeat Big Show and Kane).

I was more upset that the Spirit Squad beat Big Show and Kane than I was at H and HBK beat the hell out of them. Little unrealistic, but it kept him out of the main event for awhile. The argument was that he doesn't put many people over, especially as champion. However, at Wrestlemania, in the last five years, he's put over people in title matches at the biggest show they have. 20- Tapped for Benoit 21- Pinned by Batista 22- Tapped to John Cena 24- Lost with Cena to Orton I don't like the guy's politics, but he did stay away from the championship for quite a while after losing to Cena at 22. He has done his fair share for the business and I admire his work ethic. He said in an interview that a lot of the younger wrestlers are more interested in playing Guitar Hero than training with some of the legends like Harley Race and Ricky Steamboat, and I can't help but admire him for that. Regardless of what you think of him, you can't deny his ethic and passion for the business. At least his ego isn't in Hogan proportions.

I agree with you, Alex. I feel the same way. I was simply pointing out that he hasn't put that many people over, he's just been away from the title.
He squashed Booker T. He squashed the Spirit Squad. Squashed the Big Show. Would have made Orton and Edge look like jokes if he hadn't gotten injured. Squashed Carlito. Pretty much anyone not named John Cena has been squashed by Triple H in any program they worked with the guy.
I agree with everything you say about his work ethic. His respect for the business. And how he has pretty much lost at the last four WMs he's been apart of. But he still does business for himself more than anything else. Shawn Michaels was bad, but Triple H seems to be worse. He's the Hulk Hogan of his era, just with more passion for the business.
I also want to point out, I agree with the comment about Kane and Big Show jobbing out to them.

I don't agree, Icey. Compared to others in his position, I would say he's put a fair share of people over.
Between Wrestlemania 21 and when he went out with an injury, John Cena was champion 87 percent of the time during that period. The times he lost the title were to a fluke win to Edge after winning the Elimination Chamber, which of course Edge lost it back to him two weeks later, and through interference at One Night Stand. Edge took it from RVD, of course pinning RVD, and then Cena won it back after an unclean defense, and only after Edge was allowed to defend it against no one else. How many people did he put over during that time? One, Shawn Michaels, after he beat him at Wrestlemania.
Stone Cold, from the beginning of Austin 3:16 to Summerslam '99... Put over absolutely no one cleanly. Mankind winning the title at Summerslam was the first time Austin had been pinned cleanly in well over a year.
Triple H, on the other hand... Loses the title cleanly, and uses dirty tactics to retain it. Perhaps he did squash Booker T and the Spirit Squad, but he put Goldberg over cleanly. He put Chris Benoit over cleanly. He put Shelton Benjamin over cleanly more than once, remember that? He put Cena over cleanly, Batista three times in a row, he put Flair over in a steel cage, he put Michaels over in one of my favorite matches ever at Summerslam '02... And that's just off the top of my head.
Yes some of the upper-midcard wrestlers he's faced, or random people he's beat up, have looked bad. However, I would argue that it pales in comparison to the likes of Cena, Austin, and Hogan.
