Live on E! from the Peace Center for the Performing Arts in Greenville, South Carolina
Introduction
Details: There are still fans and celebrities piling into the Peace Center for Performing Arts in Greenville, South Carolina for the fourth annual Icey Awards. Earlier in the evening, three of the awards were given out on the blue carpet, exclusively on Pureclasswrestling.com. The awards saw “The Icemann” Luis Malave receive the PCW Executive Award, which was handed to him by Alejandro Walker, Pegasus receive the Most Inspirational Award, which was awarded to him by Shane Dodge, and Kassandra Black awarding Billy Sadistic The Most Shocking Moment Award, for his unmasking at Living A Legacy III.
Once the cameras focus to inside the building, custom-ordered music from composer Phillip Glass plays and the host of the evening, Jane Lynch, welcomes us into the show.
Best Tag Team
The award was presented by Menace and Jackle, the duo who makes up 2Guys and the last team to win this award. 2Guys announced the winner, but before Phinehas Grimm and William Sadistic made it onto the stage, 2Guys exited...stage left. No doubt the reputation of The Bearded Brothers of Brutality was enough to discourage 2Guys from sharing a stage. Neither Grimm nor Sadistic said anything as they grabbed their award and casually left off the stage.
Winner(s): Grimm & Sadistic
Past winners include: Pegasus & The Prophet; Dominion; 2Guys
Biggest Debut
Supermodel Kate Upton presented the award. Johnny Vivacious didn't seem his usual rambunctious self and didn't even hit on the presenter, and Justin Michaels did most of the talking. Justin exclaimed that this isn't the first accolade the two have received and it's not going to be the last. At Game Over: 2, JV will be taking the North American Championship from Non Compos Mentis, while he'll be continuing his climb up the proverbial PCW ladder by taking out the PCW's Golden Boy, Heavy Metal, and that fast food reject, Nacho Grande, and capturing the PCW International Championship. The two then walked off the stage.
Winner(s): Justin “Stormm” Michaels & Johnny Vivacious
Past winners include: Landon Divine; Johnny Vivacious; Silence
Muse Honors The Animals
Details: We were given a special musical performance from Muse, who honored The Animals by playing a cover of their 1964 hit, "House of the Rising Sun." "House of the Rising Sun" by The Animals will be the official theme song of Game Over: 2.
Most Heated Rivalry
Charlie Sheen and Chuck Lorre presented the award. Pegasus seemed happy to be receiving another award, LoKi seemed content, and Lantlas didn't seem to care at all. Lantlas grabbed the award and stared down LoKi and Pegasus before walking off the stage, not saying a word to either man or the PCW Faithful. Pegasus told LoKi not to worry about Lantlas tonight, for at Game Over: 2, he'll have to worry about him a lot. Pegasus then stated he and LoKi aren't in-fact rivals, and LoKi chimed in with that they're just fierce competitors. “Always had been, always will be.” The two then left the stage...awardless.
Winner(s): LoKi, Pegasus, & Lantlas
Past winners include: Pegasus & The Prophet; Grimm & Mr. Showtime; NCM & The HHW
Best Match
The award was presented by Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith. The presenters joked that them being a “great match” wasn't quite the same as being the winner of the PCW's “Best Match,” but they were honored to be asked to present this award anyway. Heavy Metal and Nacho Grande both went up to the podium at the same time and while Heavy Metal was getting a smooch on the cheek from Mrs. Smith, Nacho was showing her husband his Fresh Prince of Bel-Air T-Shirt underneath his suit jacket. Heavy Metal said he was honored to share this award with Nacho Grande and promised that the two of them will tear the house down at Game Over: 2. Nacho shared similar sentiments, and the camera focused on Justin “Stormm” Michaels who was smirking. The upcoming opponents raised each others hand and then walked off the stage.
Winner(s): Nacho Grande vs. Heavy Metal: Living A Legacy III
Past winners include: Pegasus vs. LoKi @ Revival; Ace Anderson vs. Lantlas @ Collision Course; Al Laiman vs. Ace Anderson @ Living A Legacy II
Skit
Details: Jane Lynch provided a comedy skit where she portrayed various PCW Superstars and Personalities. The more notable examples were of her portraying Mike Park, complete with a blue-painted baby-doll, and of Phinehas Grimm...complete with red beard. Former PCW Superstar Jade made a cameo portraying Jane Lynch.
Best Singles Star
The award was presented by Dee Snider. Based on the presenter, the winner of this award was never in question as Heavy Metal won the award in decisive fashion. However, after Heavy Metal, dressed up in his best Tommy Hilfiger suit jacket and jeans, shook Dee Snider's hand, a bit of controversy arose; before the frontman of Twisted Sister handed Jacob Roth his award, he approached the podium and stated that, although Heavy Metal had an amazing year thus far, that LoKi deserved this award more than anyone- and he wasn't even nominated! Dee Snider dropped the award, which landed on its side, on the podium as Heavy Metal was left speechless, and exited the stage. The entire arena was abuzz with shocked whispers (not to be confused with Whisper- LoKi's wife) until Heavy Metal picked up the award and spoke into the microphone that he agrees that LoKi should have been nominated. But it wasn't up to him. What is up to him was how he presented himself, and he said he only knew one way to do that- by rocking out. Heavy Metal then offered a little air guitar before heading off the stage to a crowd assuredly behind him.
Winner(s): Heavy Metal
Past winners include: Ace Anderson {2x}; Lantlas
Most Hated
The award was presented by Bill O'Reilly. Of course, Murdoc received boos as he accepted the award. During his acceptance speech, Murdoc questioned whether he was really hated or just misunderstood, and asked the people if they really knew what hate was. He spoke about how this was his second time winning this award, but then mentioned how people like Mike Park received the public's admiration when he had been nothing more than a child murderer. Murdoc didn't understand why he would win this award, having never lied to the fans, when others manipulated them to receive the adulation they gave. He then vowed to win the PCW World Championship at Game Over: 2.
Winner(s): Murdoc
Past winners include: Non Compos Mentis; Jason Willard
Most Loved
The award was presented by Morgan Freeman. Pegasus was surprised when he was announced as the winner, and immediately walked over to both Nacho Grande and Heavy Metal and shook both their hands before making it onto the stage. He thanked everyone who voted for him, and also thanked his best-friend in the whole wide world...no, not LoKi, but Charlie, his dog. He made mention that he was surprised to have won the award once, let alone twice, and thanked the fans for their everlasting support. He proceeded to ask the fans to really will him on at Game Over: 2, because he and his tag team partner Usali Basilisk, would need all the help they can get when they square off against The Backwoods Butchers Grimm and Sadistic. Pegasus raised his award high in the air before he exited off the stage and the feed faded out.
Winner(s): Pegasus
