Sweeney was a promo god. I'm not just voting for him because he was my friend. I've never seen anyone work a crowd like that. For those of you who've never seen it, YouTube that shit.

I like Sweeney. I really do. He had, "the goodz." But there's a difference between working a crowd of 300 and working a crowd of 20,000. Lawler, who I'm not even a fan of (although I respect the guy), is a proven promo man, and gotten over in every company whether it be in front of 200 or 60,000 fans, primarily through his promo skills (and a good right hand).

I believe if Sweeney ever had the chance to work a crowd that big, he would've. Those ROH crowds might not get to 20,000, but they were bigger than 300, and he always had them in the palm of his hand. The man died too soon and before the wrestling world got to see what a talent he really was.

My point is, as awesome as Sweeney was on the mic, he wasn't able to showcase his greatness to the masses. It doesn't mean he wasn't great, but I can't, in good mind, vote for him to advance over The King, when he never fully reached his potential.
