A Powerful Prelude…
Details:Ring Announcer: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the 2012 Icemann Invitational tournament winner, “Puro Power” Kaijin Shinryu!
The fans explode with cheers as “Shitataru Mouru” by Dir En Grey plays on the PA system, and out comes Kaijin Shinryu. The cheers intensify when Shinryu is shown through the curtain.
Jerry Andrews: This man showed everyone how much of a warrior during the Icey Invitational, Al.
Al Laiman: I’ll have to agree with you for once, Jerry. Shinryu surprised a lot of people with his victory over Johnny Vivacious to become the winner.
Jerry Andrews: The man was hung over!
Al Laiman: But he did have a burst of offense later in the match.
Shinryu enters the ring and asks for a microphone. He doesn’t waste any time.
Kaijin Shinryu: Konnichiwa! Ogenki desu ka?
More pops from the fans, with an utterance of disgust by Al Laiman.
Kaijin Shinryu: Let’s get down to business, shall we? Areas, you stole my Icey trophy and I’m going to give you this one chance to absolve your misdeeds and return the trophy to me. So Areas, would you be so kind to come down to the ring and return what is mine?
Shinryu, along with the fans, turn their attention toward the entrance ramp, waiting for Areas to come down to the ring.
Jerry Andrews: So…where is he?
Al Laiman: I highly doubt that Areas is gonna come down to the ring to give Shinryu his trophy back. Like he said, he’s gonna have to take it from him if he wants it back.
After about thirty seconds of waiting with no results, Shinryu nods his head, knowing what he has to do next.
Kaijin Shinryu: Very well, then. You shall pay for your insolence.
He drops the microphone and leaves the ring, marching with a purpose up the entrance ramp and into the back.
Jerry Andrews: I wonder what he means by that?
Al Laiman: He’s gonna kick Areas’ ass! Duh, Andrews!
MATCH ONE
Tag Team Match
Grimm (INT ©) & Tyrone "Crazy Boy" Smith vs. Usali Basilisk & Sean Rhodes
Referee: AJ Bennett
Details: The preliminaries begin with Grimm making his way to the ring with the crowd pumped as always to see the Lord of Misrule. As he climbs into the ring, a far colder reception greets his partner; the ever unpredictable Tyrone ‘Crazy Boy’ Smith. Grimm himself seems a little on edge about teaming with him, but he remains focused on the task ahead. Third out is ‘Non Compos Mentis’ Sean Rhodes who seems to be extra motivated as he walks down the ramp. The crowd greet him with unexpected cheers as he climbs inside the ring and motions in acknowledgement to the masses. The cheers of the PCW faithful turn into a chorus of jeers as ‘Holding Out For A Hero’ hits and Usali Basilisk walks out with his ever imposing shadow, Machine, in toe.
As Usali makes his way to the ring, AJ Bennett bravely walks up to the ropes and signals to his massive sidekick before motioning that is barred from ringside. Both men stop at the bottom of the ramp and refuse to move so Bennett reiterates his order. Still Machine doesn’t move until Usali finally turns to him and tells him to go backstage. To everyone’s relief, Machine turns and slowly leaves.
As Usali takes his place in the ring, he and his partner lock eyes with an uneasy tension before the bell rings. Climbing out of the ring, Grimm and Usali leave the action to Smith and Rhodes and they lock up in the middle. Rhodes’ power dominates the smaller man and switch into a side headlock. Smith pushes out but receives a shoulder block that knocks him to his back. As Rhodes hits the ropes, Smith ducks underneath and rises into a Back Body Drop attempt but is hit with a lifted knee to the face. Rhodes reacts quickly with a Scoop Slam and a series of elbow drops across the chest before pinning for a two count.
NCM drags Crazy Boy to his feet and whips him across the ring, only for him to reverse and nail a dropkick to the knee. As Rhodes tries to recover, Smith grabs him and nails a Russian Leg Sweep. With his opponent down, Smith hits a couple of running leg drops across the throat and hooks the leg for a two.
Crazy Boy turns to the corner to tag out but his leg is grabbed by a resourceful NCM who pulls him back. Using his agility, Smith goes for an Enziguri but Rhodes ducks, sending him to the mat face first instead. Prone and stunned, Smith is easy prey for a running elbow drop straight across the neck, allowing Rhodes to tag out very forcefully to an unappreciative Basilisk.
As Basilisk climbs into the ring he sees Smith crawling toward his corner and cuts him off with a stomp to the back. Usali can’t help but stare at Grimm in the corner as he pulls Smith to his feet and goes for a Brainbuster. He holds Crazy Boy in the air for a few seconds but suddenly loses control as Smith slides out of the back door and into a School Boy pin that only get a two and a half.
Usali and Smith climb to their feet quickly but Basilisk seems to be the fresher man and he hits a powerful Flying Forearm to cut Smith off from his corner yet again. This time The Grand High Exalted One stares at Grimm and says something barely audible on the mics; “I’ll show you a Harvest!”. With that, Usali pulls Smith to his feet and locks in a front facelock before moving to the corner. Setting up on the second rope he goes for a Tornado DDT and nails it right in the middle. He pins… but only gets a two count much to the delight of Grimm who calls for Smith to tag out.
Usali climbs to his feet and looks to his partner, considering a tag out. Instead of doing this though, Usali shakes his head at the Number One Contender and decided to take on Crazy Boy alone. As he turns and reaches down, Usali is caught off guard with a Small Package Pin that he only just manages to escape in time. Both Basilisk and Smith push themselves up to their feet and Usali attacks with a High Leg Clothesline that Smith ducks. The frustrated Basilisk turns around and runs straight into a vicious looking Jumping Heel Kick that puts both men down.
The crowd now seem behind Smith as they push him toward his corner. Inch by inch he responds just as Usali does the same toward his partner. Both men jump forward and tag out creating a huge ovation a pent-up Grimm is finally released. He meets a rushing Rhodes in the middle with a Running Lariat followed by two more before he turns his attention to Usali. The Dreeup charges but is flung high into the air with a massive Back Body Drop. By now NCM is back on his feet and rushing in for another attack but Grimm catches him with a Lament Configuration neckbreaker to stop any momentum dead.
Usali thinks about interfering to save his partner… then thinks again, sliding out of the ring like the snake in his name. As Rhodes stares out of the ring at his high-tailing partner, The Lord of Misrule pulls him up, moves him into the corner and nails him with a devastating Harvest! One… Two… Three! It’s over!
Winners: Grimm and Tyrone Smith via Pinfall
Greetings From Albany
Details: As Usali finally disappears into the back, wanting nothing to do with Grimm, and Rhodes is removed angrily from the ring, Grimm takes his leave from the adoring crowd and leaves Crazy Boy alone to celebrate the victory. He goes to each side of the ring and drinks in the applause but soon it appears something is very wrong as four men jump the barricade with security nowhere in sight.
The men aren’t recognised by the PCW faithful as they close in on the ring but they certainly look threatening. Once Crazy Boy turns around and sees them he immediately goes on the defensive. One of the mysterious group seems to order the others to move around the ring and they do so, surrounding Crazy Boy completely.
Jerry Andrews: What the hell is going on? Who are these guys?
Al Laiman: You don’t know much, do you Andrews?
Jerry Andrews: Are you saying you know who they are?
Al Laiman: Maybe I do, maybe I don’t.
No matter if Smith knows them or not, he’s unprepared when finally the largest and most sharply dressed of the group jumps into the ring behind him. A clubbing blow to the back of Smith’s head sends him flying into the ropes but he manages to turn and throw a combo of his own. As a brawl ensues and Smith forces this man into the middle of the ring, he’s blindsided from the left by the shortest and soon the whole group has taken control.
Jerry Andrews: This is disgusting!
The four men pound on Smith brutally until he hits the mat. There is nothing he can do as his is ruthlessly attacked by the unknown stable of newcomers. Finally they relent, but it is left to the most prominent member of the group to shove Crazy Boy unceremoniously out of the ring to the outside. With the body disposed of, this man moves to the side of the ring and calls arrogantly for a microphone. As the crowd boo wildly the man lifts the microphone to his lips and speaks.
Whitey Ford: You want an introduction? Fine, I'm Whitey Ford and these here are my friends all the way from the Albany Wrestling Alliance.
The smile on the man’s face is a show of arrogance, even as the fans boo him and his so called friends for their actions. Undeterred by this, Whitey Ford goes on.
Whitey Ford: As for why I’m here, the AWA was where the best of the best wrestled. We were more hardcore than anyone else, we were more pure than anyone else, we flew higher and slammed harder. Looking at that thing we just destroyed, we’re not impressed. Not one bit. If you were to try and accomplish half of the things I've done, you'd die before accomplishing even one. Do you know how hard it is to pull off a shooting star press from the top of a cage 15 minutes after polishing off a bottle of vodka?
Whitey walks up to the ropes and looks down at the near unconscious body of Tyrone Smith, sneering with contempt at his weakness. After a few moments of staring at him, and listening to the rising boos of the fans, Ford steps back and lifts the mic again.
Whitey Ford: All you need to know is this: we aren't here to play nice, we're here to prove that the PCW is so far below our caliber of talent that they wouldn't have even had a dark match in the AWA.
Just as he says this, the mic is taken from his hand by the next man, the shortest of the bunch but one certainly not lacking in attitude. The crowd have barely stopped booing the last man by the time this one starts talking.
'The Solution' Jake Andrews: They call me "The Solution" Jake Andrews. You know, it's been almost a year since I've been in the ring. I've been itching to get back at being number 1. Then one day, Whitey calls me and sends me some info about the PCW. I was hooked. What better way to reach the top again than to come into a place, full of top talent...and making them all look like idiots as I beat them 1-2-3. There is nothing anyone can do to stop me...us... We called up Monroe and MJW and now, get ready for the end of your world.
Impossibly the crowd get louder with their cries of disapproval as they look at the cocky a smile of Andrews who has said all he’s willing to say to the crowd he apparently thinks so little of. Now he passes the mic to the next man, an intimidating figure that is apparently known as Monroe, but he has such a low opinion of his audience that he refuses to speak at all. Instead the mic is passed along the line to the final man, the sharply dressed and smug looking MJW. He stares right at the cameraman in the ring and confronts him.
"The EGO" MJW: I can understand why you are doing it but if you do not stop gazing at my perfect face i am going to smack your teeth out of your mouth!
The cameraman backs off and MJW goes back to what he was about to say.
“The EGO” MJW: ...Now, lets talk a little business. First things first, lets get it very very clear that it was the powers that be in the PCW that sought us out...we were all head hunted because we are the best in the business and we are all proven draws, we bring in the numbers which brings in the advertisements which brings in the money. We are here to do what needs to be done and some people are going to benefit and some people are not...if you do the right thing, do as your are told and stay on the right side of us then you are likely to benefit, but piss me off and you are not going to have an enjoyable time!
All four men look at each other with an overwhelming expression of confidence and supremacy. They wait for another wave of boos to die down until finally MJW makes his swansong.
“The EGO” MJW: PCW is entering a new era in its history and you are honored to be talking to the leaders of the new era at the birth of it al... I am Michael John Windsor and along with these men, we are taking over.
The suited man drops the mic to the mat and all four look at each other again, pleased with the disruption their introduction has caused among the crowd and the one man laying prone at ringside. Happy with their performance, all four men leave the ring and go back to their seats at ringside, being harangued by the crowd all around them.
MATCH TWO
Triple Threat Match
Jule "The Wasp" Martins vs. Alexander Jericho vs. Abel "The Cure" Drak'Shal
Referee: Joseph Buckland
Details: Alexander Jericho and Abel "The Cure" Drak'Shal are standing in the ring following a commercial break, waiting for the third and final competitor to make his way towards the ring. “Welcome To The Jungle” by Guns N Roses hits, and Jule “The Wasp” Martins enters the ring, the lights flickering on and off wildly. The lights came back on fully and The Wasp is visible, running full steam towards the ring. He slides in and runs at his opponents, landing a double clothesline before the match has even officially started.
Joseph Buckland motions for the bell to start the match, and The Wasp doesn't even notice as he is focused. He doesn't let up as he targets Alexander, the first of the two men to get up. He quickly lands a few vicious chops, before planting Alexander on his head with a DDT. Abel thinks he see's an opening and attempts to clothesline The Wasp, but he sidesteps quickly, and locks his arms around Abel's waist from behind. He suplexs his opponent once, but holds on and delivers another, and then a third to complete The Hive Guard.
Wasp notices Alexander getting up, and so he quickly bounces off the ropes, and delivers a Stinger to his opponent. Joseph Buckland goes down to count. 1...2....kickout! It's a close call, but Abel is up and lands a clubbing blow to the back of the Wasp's head. Abel pulls Wasp up off the mat, but Wasp pushes him off, and lands a devastating Superkick! He completes The Great White North by locking in an ankle lock. Abel tries hard to reach the ropes, but The Wasp pulls him back to the center of the ring, and locks in the hold tighter, and Abel has no choice but to tap.
Winner: Jule Martins via Submission
Wasp… Swatted
Details: As Wasp releases the hold on Abel and celebrates his first victory in PCW, the crowd cheer wildly. The exuberant and unconventional superstar plays to them as the two opponents roll out of the ring and lick their wounds. As he celebrates, however, a commotion grows at ringside and the group of AWA superstars that were introduced earlier in the show jump out of their seats. Diving over the barrier again, all four of the invaders throw themselves into the ring and mob a confused and helpless Wasp with punches and kicks.
Jerry Andrews: Where the hell is security?! Get these hooligans out of here!
The man known as ‘The Solution’ Jake Andrews pulls Wasp back to his feet and wraps his arms around his head before driving him face first into the mat with a Flatliner. As Wasp collapses on the mat, the figure called Monroe clearly doesn’t want to miss out on the fun. He lifts Wasp up and drops him with a devastating Vertical Drop Brainbuster. Still the damage isn’t over as the slickly dressed MJW waits for Wasp to slowly struggle back to his feet.
The crowd are completely disgusted at this but can only watch as Jule Martins reaches his feet and is slammed back down with a Jumping Cutter, otherwise called the EKO. No wanting to be left out altogether, the de-facto leader of the group, Whitey Ford, grabs the head of Martins and drags him slowly back up. Just as he is about to set up for his finisher, a devastating Razors Edge Piledriver, the crowd erupts into cheers as a yellow and black blur flies down the ramp to the tune of Alestorm’s ‘You Are A Pirate!”
Jerry Andrews: High Tide… and he’s packing heat!
Complete with a steel chair in hand, PCW’s very own Rated ARRRRRR Superstar rushes toward the ring at full pace. While knowing they have the number advantage, the Albany group doesn’t want to risk anything and quickly all four men jump out of the ring. As Tide dives into the ring he immediately checks on Wasp to see if he is ok and calls for the EMT’s. Pleased with the result of their handiwork, the four men make their way back to their seats with a collection of smug, satisfied smiles that sicken even a pirate like High Tide.
MATCH THREE
Singles Match
"Puro Power!" Kaijin Shinryu vs. LoKi
Referee: Steve Shaw
Details: “Shitataru Mouru” by Dir En Grey sweeps over the arena and “Puro Power!” Kaijin Shinryu steps out onto the stage, wearing his sleeveless trenchcoat. The Icemann Invitational Champion receives a great ovation from the crowd as he makes his way to the ring. As the music rises Shinryu takes a moment to stop and pray. After pounding his chest with a rush of adrenaline, Puro Power resumes his walk to the ring and takes his place in the corner with a glance to ringside that still doesn’t show his title trophy.
The ovation soon disappears though as ‘Heaven’s A Lie’ hits and LoKi walks out onto the stage with a scowl only a mother could love. With barely a look toward the crowd the Fallen Angel makes his way to the ring and climbs inside, immediately facing up to Shinryu. Referee Shaw pushes LoKi backwards and calls for the bell to let these two intense characters at it.
The match begins with both men looking evenly matched, locking up in a collar and elbow tie up and pushing hard. Shinyru’s low centre of gravity enables him to take control and he moves into a side head lock. LoKi pushes out but receives an overpowering shoulder block. Using his strength, Puro hits an STO on the recovering opponent but when he attempts a submission manoeuvre he receives a boot to the face. Taking full advantage, LoKi hits a dropkick to the knee and a sudden Snap Neckbreaker before pinning for a two count.
LoKi controls the going for the next couple of minutes, isolating the neck of his opponent with stomps and a variety of tasking submissions. As he locks in a tight rear facelock, Kaijin begins to fight back to his feet. Hitting a collection of elbows he fights out and hits a Lariato followed by another two that weaken LoKi significantly. As he tries to recover, LoKi climbs to a knee but receives a brutal Shining Wizard to the face. Puro pins for a two count.
As Shinryu tries to take control he receives a thumb to the eye from LoKi who immediately rises with a combo of elbow strikes to the face. Shinryu can only hold out so long and soon he’s weakened enough for LoKi to hit a driving Conviction Buster. A pin results in only a two count and LoKi pulls his opponent to his feet before locking in a Full Nelson. As he attempts to go for a Baal and the Dragon Suplex, Shinryu uses his low centre of gravity again to fight back and reverse into a Rear Waist Lock of his own. Going for a German Suplex, Puro’s power isn’t enough and LoKi resists, rushing forward into the ropes and grabbing them, forcing Puro to roll backward into the middle of the ring.
LoKi turns but runs straight into a vicious double handed chop and receives a typically powerful Power Slam for a two and a half count. As he pulls LoKi back to his feet, Puro leaves his standing for a moment and hits the ropes. On the rebound he goes for a huge Lariato but LoKi ducks and quickly locks in his Valkyries Wings submission hold.
With the hold locked in it looks as though Shinryu will tap, but as he raises his arm the lights suddenly dim down and static hits the titontron, providing the only light in the arena. LoKi, out of frustration, releases the hold and stands to furious attention. Suddenly something emerges on the huge screen that spooks LoKi into backing off from the ropes.
"For God did not spare angels that sinned, but cast them into Hell, delivering them to be kept there in pits of gloom till the judgement and their doom."
The message lingers on the screen for a few seconds so that everyone can see until it finally disappears and the lights come back up. The spooked LoKi slowly backs into the middle of the ring and straight into Puro Power who has recovered. Before he can fully react, Shinry takes the opportunity and hauls him onto his shoulders. Rushing forward he nails the Thunder Fire Bomb and is about to pin when somebody comes rushing down the ramp.
With the crowd in utter confusion, Areas of all people dives into the ring while holding the Icemann Invitational Trophy he pilfered at Living A Legacy. Shinryu turns to see what all the commotion from the crowd is about and receives a brutal shot to the head with the trophy. Steve Shaw is forced to call for the bell as Areas stands over an almost unconscious Puro with his now dented trophy in hand. Slowly Kaijin tries to recover but Areas lifts the trophy into the air and drives it down over the back of his newfound nemesis, smashing it into pieces and leaving a satisfied smile on his face. With that, Trauma goes to a commercial break.
Winner: Kaijin Shinryu via Disqualification
Insult To Inury
Details: As Trauma returns from its commercial break we’re treated to a slow motion replay of the events just minutes prior. Areas lifts the Icemann Invitational Trophy above his head and drives it down over the back of Kaijin Shinryu. The replay shifts from the pained face of the trophy’s rightful owner to the smug and satisfied one of its destroyer.
Jerry Andrews: What the hell was Areas thinking? He just broke the Icemann Invitational Trophy into pieces over the back of its holder!
Al Laiman: He doesn’t look like he deserves to hold it in these replays, Jerry.
The replay moves to one of Shinryu being slowly removed from the ring by EMT’s and the wreckage of his trophy being swept aside like common rubbish. As Puro is less than powerfully walked up the ramp he seems to come to his senses and realise what just happened. Incensed, he turns to the ring and tries to push past the EMT’s to attack Areas but a group of Pure Class Arena Security run out from the back and stop him short. As they wrestle a weak Shinryu back toward the locker room, Areas remains in the ring laughing at the plight of his enemy.
Jerry Andrews: I don’t think we’ve seen the end of this. Shinryu never got to hold his Icemann Invitational Trophy before it was broken over his back, he’s not going to let this go lightly.
Al Laiman: He’ll have to let it go because next up we’ve got High Tide versus the man in the ring, Areas.
MATCH FOUR
Singles Match
High Tide vs. vs. Areas
Referee: Roberto Garcia
Details: High Tide makes his entrance with the lovely Chelsea by his side, still aggravated after his earlier altercation with the new members of the PCW roster earlier in the show. Meanwhile, outside of the ring, the wrestlers from AWA—Whitey Ford, “The EGO” MJW, “The Solution” Jake Andrews, and MONROE—are sitting at ringside, apparently with an invested interest in the match. Tide finally reaches the ring with several uneasy glances to the group at ringside. The bell rings and the match quickly begins.
Chris Areas and High Tide are circling the ring, sizing each other up, and finally collide in the middle of the ring for the collar and elbow tie-up. Areas, being the taller and larger wrestler, easily overpowers High Tide, and brings him in with a side headlock. High Tide throws forearm shots against Areas’ love handle, but it doesn’t make him break the side headlock. Instead, he breaks it purposely, kicks him in the gut and goes for a Fisherman’s Suplex setup. He is about to pull off one of his trademarks, a Fisherman’s Buster, but High Tide slips out the backdoor, and executes a dropkick in the back of one of Areas’ knees.
With Areas down to one knee, High Tide takes the opportunity to bounce off the ropes, going for another dropkick—this time right in Areas’ bearded face—but Areas swats him away. Areas gingerly gets back to a vertical base, walks over to High Tide, and grabs a handful of his hair. He throws a huge knee into the pirate’s gut, doubling him over. He then scoops him up as if he were a baby, and slams him hard onto the mat. Afterward, he grounds his opponent with another side headlock, looking to capitalize by chaining into another move. High Tide kips out of the headlock, and is on his feet before Areas. He does a huge kick to Areas’ face, almost knocking the man out. He goes for the cover, but gets a two, according to Roberto Garcia.
Grabbing one of Areas’ flabby arms, he heaves his opponent up to his feet with a grunt, and then goes for an Irish Whip. However, Areas reverses the whip, waits for him after the rebound, and pulls off a huge Spine Buster. He goes for the cover…only a two-count. Chris Areas pulls High Tide to his feet, goes for another Irish Whip. His time, however, High Tide jumps onto the top rope, uses it as a springboard, turns in midair and connects with a dropkick to the face!
High Tide gets to his feet, ready to capitalize, but the former AWA members stand up simultaneously, looking at the pirate. Tide stops immediately as they catch his eye and he moves to the ropes to call them out. The group of invading superstars seem unmoving as Tide angrily confronts them, which allows Areas the chance to recover from the dropkick. High Tide turns around to face Areas, but is caught in the face with Areas’ Spinning Back-Fist! High Tide is out like a light and the three-count comes afterward.
Winner: Areas via Pinfall
MATCH FIVE
Singles Match
Justin "Stormm" Michaels vs. vs. Andy D (N.A. ©)
Referee: Eric Russo
Details: 'Hypest Hype’ hits the PA system and the crowd instantly pop as the North American Champion, Andy D, bounces out onto the stage with his typical swagger. He slaps hands with many of the fans at ringside before making his way into the ring and placing his trademark bucket hat on the turnbuckle, ready to face his opponent.
“Enemies” by Shinedown replaces Chase and Status to a massive chorus of boos from the masses who expect Justin Michaels to walk out from the curtain. Instead, they are greeted to the much lovelier, if equally as deadly, sight of his fiancé, Lindsay Matthews. The young Miss Matthews appears to have a microphone in her hand and waits patiently for the fans to quiet down before speaking.
Lindsay Matthews: I’m out here tonight to represent my future husband and the man who should be the current Number One Contender to the PCW World Title, Justin ‘Stormm’ Michaels.
At the mere mention of his name the fans let out another ovation of jeers and hisses but again Lindsay remains patient and waits for an opening to speak.
Lindsay Matthews: I was asked to come here tonight to inform you that Justin is not here this evening and wanted nothing to do with his match because… Well, I’ll let him explain.
Lindsay looks up at the tron as it flickers into life with a video message recorded earlier that day from an undisclosed location. There, on screen, is Justin Michaels who looks less than pleased at the events of the last two weeks, but remanents of Living a Legacy still remain upon his face. Even as the crowd boo his image, the recording plays and his words drown them out.
Justin Michaels: As the lovely Lindsay Matthews has assured you all by now, I'm nowhere near that raunchy Pure Class Area tonight, and the Hell if I was going to step into the ring under my current condition, even against that curtain jerker, Andy D.
The crowd again let their displeasure be known but the video knows nothing of the noise and continues.
Justin Michaels: As all of you drones know, at Living A Legacy I faced a mindless, insane and, let's be honest, drugged up maniac, in a match that's outcome should be thrown out given the circumstances. Sean Rhodes should never have been allowed to step into that ring two weeks ago, and I am still suffering the effects of the blatant disregard to the Pure Class Wrestling wellness policy.. If there is one! Now any less of a man would sue PCW for every penny they own for allowing that freak to step inside of the ring while he was so hopped up his piss probably glowed in the dark later that night. Instead, I took it upon myself to take the night off to nurse my wounds, and there’s not a God damn thing you can do about it.
With that the screen cuts out and the crowd resume their blasting of displeasure. Lindsay Matthews remains on the stage as Andy looks around in confusion and finds Eric Russo in the corner. The two have a brief conversation before a resolution is made and Russo signals for the bell. Russo lifts his hands and begins to count out Stormm with barely a motion of interest from Matthews as if it is to be expected.
1… 2… 3… 4… 5… 6… 7… 8… 9… 10!
Russo calls for the bell and the match is officially over. Andy D celebrates, having won the match without lifting a finger.

A Confused Stormm
Details: As Andy remains in the ring celebrating his victory, Lindsay manages to produce a somewhat patronising clap as she watches from the ramp. Andy D catches sight of her and is unusually uncertain about the circumstances. It’s in this moment that a figure leaps the barrier and dives into the ring. Before Andy can turn with the calls from the crowd, the figure of Justin Michaels attacks him from behind with a Clothesline, dropping him to the mat.
Jerry Andrews: What the hell?! What is Stormm doing here? He isn’t even supposed to be in the arena and now he’s beating the hell out of Andy!
Al Laiman: I think it’s months of frustration just pouring out of him. He’s barely won a match in months and Living A Legacy was a tipping point.
Stormm lands a collection of stomps to the back of Andy before dragging him back to his feet. Unsteady and visibly stunned by the assault, Andy is helpless as Stormm sets him up and nails a huge Force Of Nature in the middle of the ring.
The fans boo with a violent condemnation of the events they are watching as Stormm rolls out of the ring and begins to walk up the ramp. As he does this, there is a definite look of conflict and confusion on the face of Michaels and as seems not to understand what he just did or why he did it. He meets his fiancé at the top of the ramp but even her presence can’t take away the confusion on his face.
Jerry Andrews: Ladies and Gentlemen, we’re going to go to a commercial break and when we come back it’s time for our main event!
Al Laiman: Hopefully by then they’ll have peeled Andy off the mat…
MAIN EVENT
Non-Title Singles Match
Lantlas (World ©) vs. Nacho Grande
Referee: Eddie Lane
Details:The first man to come out for the main event is the masked hero of PCW, Nacho Grande. Bouncing onto the stage to ‘Hangin Tough’ he has the crowd already behind him and looks terrifically focused as he walks to the ring. Following him is the PCW World Champion, coming off a huge win over his opponent tonight and LoKi two weeks ago. Lantlas makes his entrance to the eerie rising tone of ‘Dream is Collapsing’ and quickly makes his way to the ring and removes his trademark armour. Moving into the ring he gives a nod of acknowledgement to his opponent who respectfully gives one back, though there is no doubt both men are focused on the task ahead.
Eddie Lane calls for the bell and the match begins. Both men begin to circle and size each other up but they already have enough foreknowledge to know their first moves. Lantlas goes for a lock up but Nacho dodges into a rear waistlock. The warrior Elf uses his technical skill to wrestle his way into a waistlock of his own and hit a Mat Slim before transitioning into a front facelock. Nacho instinctively pushes out and both men get to their knees. As Lantlas rises, Nacho whips his legs out from underneath him and pins for a half count. Again they push themselves up but this time Lantlas executes the same move for an equal count of less than one.
Yet again it’s a race to see who gets to their feet fastest but it seems pretty even. Lantlas rushes forward but gets caught with an Armdrag that receives a big pop from the fans. As the World Champion climbs to his feet, Nacho charges but is caught with a Japanese Arm Drag. With both men on their backs, they simultaneously kip-up and meet in a stand-off to the amazement of the fans.
Again the two competitors circle and meet in the middle with a tie up that Lantlas quickly gains the better of and forces his opponent into the ropes. Nacho gets whipped across the ring and goes for a shoulder block but gets knocked down himself. Lantlas hits the ropes and rebounds over Nacho before avoiding a Back Body Drop with a lifted boot to the face. While Grande is stunned, Lantlas nails a combo of stiff kicks, culminating in a harsh Roundhouse to the skull and a pin for a two count.
Lantlas gets to a vertical base and waits until Nacho reaches his knees before holding his head and driving a salvo of short sharp kicks into his forehead. One after another impacts until Nacho collapses. Not satisfied with this weakening, Lantlas rolls his opponent over, leaps into the air and hits a crushing Double Stomp. He pins with a lateral press but Nacho somehow kicks out a two.
Showing his resilience, Nacho fights his way to his feet only to be kicked in the gut. The World Champion whips Nacho into the ropes and goes for a clothesline but Nacho ducks, carries his momentum and hits a stunning Running Crossbody. Lantlas tries to recover but receives a boot to the gut right back and then a crushing Playmaker. A lateral press, even with a hooked leg only gets a two and Nacho begins to look around for inspiration.
His eyes meet the top rope and Nacho begins to climb. Reaching the top he looks down and throws himself off with a spectacular Flying Crossbody. Lantlas tries to catch him at the last moment but the force sends him into the mat… but still Lantlas rolls through to his feet and he manages to hold Nacho in a Body Slam position. From there he hits the ‘This Moment Is Eternity’ but still can’t put Nacho away. Now he pulls Nacho to his feet but is caught out of nowhere with a vicious chop, usually something more at home with his opponent. Reeling backward, Lantlas is hit with another and another until he is sufficiently weakened and Nacho can go for the Airplane Spin. He begins to spin but Lantlas manages to fall out of the back. Out of instinct, Lantlas charges his opponent into the corner with a Spear and drops him down before hitting a winding Corner Double Dropkick.
Pulling Nacho out of the turnbuckles, the Warrior Elf signals for the end and lifts him onto his shoulders. Still the lovable luchador has some energy left and he manages to slide out of the back. As Lantlas turns, Nacho hits the ropes, springs off the middle and hits a flying Lionsault that puts both men down.
Both men stir until Nacho begins to make moves toward the corner. Slowly but surely, Nacho climbs the turnbuckles one by one until he reaches the top and signals for the 2AM Drive Thru. Suddenly there’s an outbreak of boos as The Fallen Angel, LoKi, jumps onto the apron. Nacho tries to adjust but is too late as LoKi angrily rushes at him and pushes him off, landing throat first on the top rope.
As Nacho tries to get his bearings, LoKi climbs into the ring behind him and hit a truly devastating Omega Driver that leaves Nacho out cold on the mat. Eddie Lane has no choice but to call for the bell as a now recovered Lantlas confronts his former rival. LoKi squares up to the World Champion, realising he is already tired from the match. Without warning, the Fallen Angel slaps Lantlas across the face and sets up for a second Omega Driver…when AC/DC’s ‘Hells Bells’ hits on the PA System.
From the back comes the rabid figure of Sean Rhodes and the look on LoKi’s face is one of surprise and panic. Rhodes hits the ring and is ready to unleash hell on anyone in his path, but when he gets to his feet he realises that LoKi is long gone, having made his point already.
As Lantlas attends to his friends and opponent, Nacho, to see if he is ok, he can’t help but look up at his future challenger and wonder what exactly his motives are for being in the ring. The crowd also seem unsure whether Rhodes is out in the ring simply to save the man he will challenge for the World Title. As Trauma goes off the air, however, Rhodes simply backs off respectfully without conflict, allowing Lantlas to tend to his buddy.
