Folks,
In-case you haven't seen the posts that I've made recently regarding a few things, I'm going to post them here in this thread.
The first one is involving the current PCW calendar.
Originally posted in the deadline thread of Trauma 122.
So, we had some no-shows. It's almost inevitable to happen every show in any fed.
For those citing burnout as a reason for no-showing, I want you and the other members of the fed to hang in there.
I haven't released this publicly, but (including Deadly Intentions), there are only FOUR cards that need to be rped for before our "Holiday Hiatus."
The current calendar that I have up in the super secret mule board shows the following:
The dates are subject to change here and there (for example, Trauma 122 results probably won't be up on 10/16, but will probably be up by or before 10/19), but the events will not.
That means only a minimum of four rps are expected between now and the hiatus. Trauma 126 is for The Iceys, and rping for that show is optional, not required.
Hopefully giving the above knowledge will keep those who are suffering from burnout hope to pull it through. Then after the hiatus, most of us can come back after a nice efedding vacation and be ready to kick some ass again.
Hang in there fellas (and lass).
The second one is involving my take on RP Scores, writing woes, and lack of creativity and direction.

Everyone, write to YOUR strengths. Don't worry about winning and losing. Don't worry about trying to get the high score. Just write.
Everyone wants to win, I know, but at the expense of having fun? It's not a fair trade-off. We PLAY this game because we enjoy the process that goes into it. We like to create a character, put him or her into situations, and write. That's what we all need to remember and go back to.
I have my scoring system for me so that I have a fair system for me to figure out winners. It's not there for you to be the best or worry about the scores. No one has to see the scores, nor do they have to post theirs. I give the option to receive them just in-case you want them. They're there only as an aid to me to judge winners in a fair way. not there to criticize your work or to make you feel bad.
Everyone needs to take a step back and breath and realize, "This is a game I play for my own amusement. Who cares if Luis thinks I deserved to win or not? I don't. I'm just going to continue hanging out, and taking this created character anyway the circumstance brings me."
Worrying about wins and scores are going to do more harm than good.
Btw Eira, as others said, shit happens. I just hope you decide to give yourself a chance to continue your character. We'd love to keep you around. And as for direction, you're (speaking broadly, not just to you) only limited by the restrictions of the rules and your own input. Shoot Rick or I a PM if you'd like to move your character in a different way.
