Even though I rarely watch the live 'channel,' and have devoted less time to the archived stuff, I still think the WWE Network is a great value for my dollar. Hell, I just watched a PPV two nights ago that I didn't even remember was airing; I finished up watching Game of Thrones, the wife went to bed, I switched over to the Network, and there it is, a PPV. I decided to start at the beginning, but if I didn't care to do that, I could have jumped into the live feed.
The library of content is great and the availability to watch it anytime is amazing.
...So, I was thinking...there's this promotion going on in the WWE for the next, I think two weeks, where if you refer someone to the Network, you'll receive a $25 gift certificate to WWEShop. Not only that, but if you were the referred, when you sign-up, you also get a $25 gift card.
So here's where that thinking comes into play- if you're not yet a WWE Network subscriber, if you put me down as your referrer, I'll give the majority of the gift card proceeds back to PCW, by using it to buy merchandise to offer as forum prizes. What prizes and for what reasons comes after the promotion ends, but that's another story.
Anyway, if you're not interested, no harm no foul. Best case scenario, WWE gets a few subscribers, PCW gets a few prizes to offer/raffle, and the referred gets a great deal for their buck and a $25 gift card of their own. Worst case scenario, no one is interested, and nothing is loss for anyone.
What do you think of the idea? Let me know below. And if you already have the Network, how do you like it?

I won't be getting the network, although I have a laptop I don't know how capable it would be of running the program itself. It's a pretty shaky computer; plus, I just don't think I'd have the interest in wrestling to watch it THAT much. Once or twice a week is good with me. As for the idea, I like it.

and how much is a 'majority,' you shiesty bastard? Luis will be decked out with WWE swag in a month and the winner of the next Deadly Intentions walks away with a...brand new...WWE pencil topper! Ha.

About 75% of total gift cards received. I still have to get a little piece of the pie for actually referring, but I'd still be giving back to the community.

I already have the Network as well. I've been watching it less often recently, but I still watch it. I mostly watch the shows like Countdown and Road to WrestleMania these days.

When it becomes available (without having to jump through a hundred hoops) in the UK I'll take a look at the price and make a decision, but I am leaning toward getting it. It's just great value (assuming they don't bump the price for overseas customers), even though I only watch a few ppv's actually live per year the video archive is a huge plus, and I could catch up on all the PPV's whenever I want.

I've contemplated getting the network, but that's really about all I've done. As on again, off again as my WWE watching goes, along with my huge list of stuff to watch on Netflix, I'm probably OK not having it for the time being.
