Stacy Jones sat silent in the back.
The room was cold, frigid even as she cursed under her breath.
LoKi had been the better man; he had defeated her fair and square. No cheating, no messing, just being BETTER. That’s what hurt the most. She could handle it if he’d beaten her with tricks and cheap dirty moves but for her to lose to someone based entirely on skill? That was unforgivable to her.
She now sat there on a foldup chair in the locker room, her shoulder being treated by the medic; a large bruise spreading across the shoulder blade, disappearing under her arm. She was hurt. She couldn’t remember what move or what situation hurt her shoulder, the adrenaline had seen to that but now? The pain had begun.
Once the medic was done and the ice had been applied, she was strapped up and she got herself dressed, her blonde hair flowing messily down over the injured shoulder as she shouldered her gym back on the healthy side of her body. Her face was pale and though she was trying to put a brave face on, she was furious, upset and disappointed all rolled into one emotional state, one that she wasn’t ready or able to process.
She shoved the locker room door open and stomped her way through the hall, only to be met by INSERT ANNOYING INTERVIEW WOMAN’S NAME HERE, with that fake smile, even faker boobs and the ever present microphone thrust into Stacy’s face.
“Move…” said the blonde in a tone that would scare small children and deer alike.
NAME just smiled and flicked her hair, likely making the situation ten times worse. “Stacy, after losing your match tonight and tumbling out of the Invitational in spectacular fashion, the powers that be are putting you into a Fatal Four Way match at Living a Legend and it will be contested with Underground Rules…how do you feel?” she asked, smiling.
Stacy just gave a look that could either melt ice or create it depending on the person. “How do I feel?” she replied with a half-angry, half-comedic chuckle. “I feel like shit. I worked my ass off in that ring and all week training for it. I brought my A-game to LoKi and it wasn’t enough. I pushed myself and it wasn’t enough. I’ve got my shoulder strapped up right now because it’s more fucked up than Nathan Saniti. Now you tell me I have to fight 3 other people at LaL?” She shook her head. “So sure, I feel fantastic….” She said sarcastically. “I have no idea what ‘Underground’ Rules are but if I know the people here well enough, I’d say it was pretty vicious and hardcore. You’ve not seen me in these kind of matches yet but I assure you I’ll do just fine.”
NAME smiles and decides to add insult to injury. “Oh and you’ll be competing in the pre-show…so this won’t be televised” she said and you could see her eyes glisten with the drama she was intending to create.
Stacy just stood there. “What? I lose one match and I’m relegated to the jobber zone? Are you freaking kidding me?” she growled. “I took Loki to the limits, you all saw that….you know what? Fuck this….” She slammed the microphone into the ample chest of NAME and walked off, pushing the emergency exit doors open which set off the alarms in the building but she didn’t care, she was out and ready to drive home.

The Dark Match? On the Pre-Show she says? Fucking ridiculous….
I’ve beaten Gem, she’s on the card
I’ve beaten Nathan Saniti, he’s on the card
Lose a match and suddenly, you’re the piece of shit that the management wipe from their shoes. I’ve worked hard in the last few weeks and I’ve proved that I’m more than capable to fight hard and to entertain those crowds and yet I’m given the dark match? It’s an insult and a mistake that will not be made again.
Why you ask? Well it’s the last time I’ll let myself lose, last time I’ll let myself get into a vulnerable position again, then they can only give me what I deserve…title shots…chances…gold. See, the winner of the tournament gets a title AND a title shot. That should have been me and it will be me, because whoever wins that NA title will have to be ready because I’m coming for it.
Now let me focus on this week at the illustrious event: Living a Legacy VI. Forget the big tournament or the world championship match for a moment and let’s focus on the dark match and the opener with Gem…
See, these will both be contested under “underground rules” whatever they are…and I’m guessing this means weapons, lack of rules and general underhanded violence. I’m surprisingly okay with this and ready to rack up some points against these 3 pathetic attempts at ‘competition’.
Sapphire…so far she’s not won a single match. The pretty blonde cheerleader act is just showing that what people think of blondes is true. Tits, hair and a whole lot of no talent. She needs to up her game or the only cheering she’ll be doing is at the special olympics.
Speaking of special, there’s here newbie counterpart, Eden who so far has shown that she’s a manic depressive emo chick with a chip on her shoulder and a fetish for pain and bondage. Well, she sounds delightful, maybe one to invite for tea? No? Nevermind then…
Finally and last but not least there is Tyrone “Crazy Boy” Smith who to be honest with you, I don’t think I’ve even heard his name he’s that much of a nobody. Has he been in the ring on events I’ve been part of? He has? Hmm…guess he didn’t make much of an impression.
So there we are then, 2 newbie girls, a nobody and me. Sounds to me like going Underground will be 4 competitors but the points go to the girl who will be coming back to the surface and heading towards gold…Stacy Jones.
