I was listening to the Pulse, and what I had feared would happen came to light. Now, I feel compelled to ask: Did I take the whole magical happenstances in Trauma 187 too far? Are people getting sick of seeing it? I will respect everyone's input on this, but allow me the ability to retort if needed.
Before we discuss, let me explain why I did what I did. I did it to push my own storyline (as well as a few other people's) in the directions planned in our RPs, not necessarily on the shows. That may be a bad choice to mix the story world and the "real" PCW.
I know people have expressed feelings in the past of "magic doesn't have a place in real fake wrestling. Let me defuse that argument right now with a single word: Undertaker. In both his early career and during the "Attitude Era," he used his "presence" to do things that make what Saniti does look pale. He's erupted from UNDER the ring to grab Diesel and drag him down into hell, he started the (now cliché) "lights out, lights on" sudden appearance. He even crucified someone (I can't remember who at this point).
The point is, I know some real-life magicians, so I have a general idea of how stage magic works and can work in a wrestling environment. I absolutely LOVE magic, even knowing what's behind the curtain. I also love wrestling, also knowing what's behind the curtain. Was the column of smoke a bit too much? Perhaps. Could it be done on television? Absolutely? Could it have been done live realistically? Questionable.
I've seen things happen on shows in other feds (Raven/ Justin will attest to this) that truly make Saniti's antics look like parlor tricks as Alexa Black calls them. I want people to enjoy our product, whether they are members or visitors. So if you all tell me to knock it off, I will without the butthurt.
Anyhoo. Just telling my side of the story. I'm truly interested in knowing what you all think. I will remain respectable, so if I come off as stand-offish, just know that it's not intended that way.
