He was floating on a cloud. So, this must be a dream. People can’t float on clouds. Well, except in Super Mario Bros. Was he in Super Mario Bros? No. This didn’t look like a Nintendo game. This was real life.
Okay, not real life. Dream real life.
Anyway, he was floating on a cloud. It was sunny. It felt nice. A gentle breeze was blowing through his hair. He smiled. This was perfect. It had been a long time since he had felt this calm, peaceful, and contented.
Thunder.
And he woke up.
Well that certainly was ominous. And pretty blatant with the meaning too. Way to be obvious, subconscious.
So the storm was coming that would knock him out of actually feeling happy. Of course it was. Feeling happy was prohibited for him. It has been that way for years.
But what was the storm? Seromine? He’s certainly the kind of dark soul that could be considered a storm. But he wasn’t going to be the one to knock Rick Majors back down to earth. No way.
Rick Majors hasn’t had a run like this in years. He was definitely on a roll and it felt good. Seromine has certainly been on a roll as well, if you don’t count his loss to Kelli Starr on Trauma. It must have felt good for Kelli to be one of the few people to defeat Seromine recently. Kelli was a good person. Despite the problems they once had in the past, they’ve been allied quite frequently recently and he had come to really trust Kelli. It was nice to have an ally again.
But the upcoming match with Seromine didn’t have anything to do with Kelli Starr. It was about continuing his path back to the top. If he defeats Seromine, he’ll skyrocket himself up the rankings for a shot at the International Title. Winning a title again would be nice. Rick Majors hasn’t held a wrestling championship in many, many years, and never in PCW. So he wanted this one bad.
Seromine believes himself to be a preacher. Or possibly Jesus himself. He feels as those he has a message to share with the world. His Followers have seemingly blind devotion to him. This is dangerous. Whenever someone has blind devotion to a message, whatever the message may be, there is potential for danger. And Seromine represents great potential for danger.
So, he must be stopped.
I might not be the one who will stop him, but we need to bring him back down to earth. He won't be the storm that brings me down. I will bring him back to reality. Kelli started the process last week. Now I’ll finish it.
