After his loss this week a dismayed Hiroshi sits on a mat on the lush green grass in a beautiful traditional Japanese garden.
A Japanese garden is not only a place for the cultivation of trees and flowering shrubs, but one that provides secluded leisure, rest, repose, meditation, and sentimental pleasure for those who come there.
The Japanese have always had a spiritual connection with their land and the spirits that are one with nature are very important to them.
The garden in which Hiroshi sits is shaped by two irregular-shaped, ponds connected by a channel or stream, and a cascade, an exact miniature version of Japan's famous mountain waterfalls.
The areas leading to the lakes are made of sand and rocks which symbolize yin yang in Buddhist philosophy; the hard rock and soft water complement each other, and water, though soft, can wear away rock.
Between the lakes sits a large bridge made of stone and covered with moss signifying that the bridge had been there for centuries before anyone cane along.
The garden is filled with many coloured and green plants such as the Japanese apricot, Cherry blossoms and above them Japanese cypress and Japanese cedar and below bamboo.
The garden is lush and plentiful and it gives him mixed feelings. it truly reminds and saddens him as he thinks of his home and his country he left behind to pursue a career in the United States.
A career thus far which has been a real mixed bag. Wins and losses came and went but his career seemed to have stalled at this point in time and his anger was building more by the day When he joined Alexa’s group he thought it was because things would change and he could get ahead.
And this week was no better. He hand been handed his toughest and most high profile match to date. And it was with some trepidation that he learned that his opponent was none other than Grimm, the Hangtown Horror. He had heard tales of the bearded beast from Alexa and if the were true he knew this week would be his toughest test.
He was told that this man was the boogeyman of PCW, that this man was feared by all and respected by more. He was no mere jobber. A multiple time PCW Champion his legacy and name would stand through the ages.
So how, Hiroshi thought to himself, how in the hell do I stop someone like that? A man who’s forgotten more than I’ll ever know?
As he is lost in his thoughts a shadowy figure comes up behind him and edges closer without him noticing. The figure lays a hand on his shoulder and before the person has time to react is thrown to the ground VIOLENTLY with a nasty thud!
Hiroshi turns and looks down and a shocked looks crosses his face.
“OW Hiroshi Sama what the hell?”
An annoyed Alexa looks up at him from the ground and he quickly apologises.
“I am sorry but you snuck up on me and you never can be to careful these days...”
He helps her up and she brushes the dirt off before continuing the conversation.
“You know who your opponent is this week...”
Hiroshi nods replying
“Yes one of PCW’s all time greats.. and it won’t be easy. But I above all else am a warrior and never back down from anything or anyone.
Grimm you may be a bogeyman but guess what? I’m the man they send to get the bogeyman and send him to hell. And that’s exactly what I’m going to do.
My conscience is no of your concern. Me breaking you and advancing to the next round of the tournament is.
