Mr. Pure stood majestically atop an unknown building with his hands on his hips staring down on the city below, a many new mysteries had arose since his arrival. Evil was afoot and the hero inside Mr. Pure was itching for a fight, but he needed answers.
"Mister Pure," breaking the silence Akira sat awkwardly on a stool a few feet behind her hero, "If I may, who would be after you? What kinda villain from earth would have it out for you?"
"To be honest young Akira I haven't got the slightest clue, I've met and battled many many people but usually it ends in respect and a feast," the massive sized hero turns around tapping a finger on his chin, "I can already deduce that it isn't someone from that party, but instead someone closely involved with a crime or crimes our home planet saw fit to capture or destroy. Again most of them are either locked away in prison on the planet Mars or destroyed."
Only three fights had ever occurred that the target had ever escaped from Mr. Pure but to retreat to Earth? To hide in the shadows of the mundane? The powerless? It made no sense to him but he wouldn't put it past the three! Pacing the roof top Mr. Pure was turning every cog in his brain and Akira finally paced behind him merely playing the part of the thinking sidekick, "Whoever it is knows I have to dial my power back to well below average or else I would kill these combatants with one punch or flick of lightening," Akira made a hmm noise following Mr. Pure's theory, "I found myself having to learn to fight as a common man against Gabriel and it caused him to instill some damage, I'm sure against this Goodstone character I'll have to do the same thing."
Akira began to box the air with a scowl on her face, "Yeah right Mister Pure! I say you beat the crap out of him and send him back broken to his boss! Show him Pure ain't nuttin' to fuck with as the Wu-tang warriors claim!"
Mr. Pure chuckled at this shaking his head, "Hahaha that's the spirit Akira and one day I would like to meet these Wu-tang warrior's but it is not my style! I will prevail over Mister Goodstone and I will find out who this mystery contractor is in due time, but I must be fair and just to overcome this evil. To preserve the..."
"To preserve the light of good we must be PURE of mind and PURE of heart!" Akira recited with Mr. Pure and slightly turned red, "Sometimes growing up here I've picked up the habits of these people, but yes let's do this the right way!"
"Aww ain't you two fucking cute, red looks good on you honey," a voice echoed through their conversation and out of nowhere several thugs of all sizes came out of the shadows, "To bad it'll be coming out of that pretty head when we are done with you both!"
As the leader stalked forward with hands in his pockets seemed like ten more people came lumbering from the ladder attached to the side of the building. Mr. Pure pushed Akira behind him ready to defend her but she stepped forward getting in her own attack ready position. This made Mr. Pure smile deeply under his mask, she was fearless.
"I am going to give you all the one chance to turn and leave, save me the trouble of sending you back with your tails tucked between your legs to your foolish master," Mr. Pure issued his warning as he cracked his neck and bawled his large hand into a fist, "Or take your chances?"
The ringleader snapped his fingers and it was on! Several men rushed forward two of them had weapons (baseball bat/pool stick) which they swung very wild, Pure blocked the baseball bat guys attack with a forearm, and then he connects a solid jab to the exposed chin dropping him like a ton of bricks. Akira ducks under the pool stick in a split and decks the man in the jewels. As he sinks to his knees Pure clocks him on the top of his head (you could hear his top teeth crush into his bottom).
Pure takes the pool stick twirling it like a staff taking out two more guys, as a fourth man attacks he smacks the inside of his left knee with the stick, spins it around to slap him in the top of his head, and with a spinning swipe he takes out three more. Akira leaps well above Pure's head coming down with a falcon like punch on another man.
However the waves continue as the two fight valiantly beside each other, sharing laughter in the sport. "Is this the best Earth offers in being a thug? Sad!" Pure chuckled in combat ad he brought up a knee to the gut of a rather large man and finishes him off with an elbow to the back of his head. A very large man about the size of Pure throws a punch but Pure catches it and lands six very solid punches to the man guiding his limp body to the ground. He wasn't using any of his true power on any of these men and yet they were dropping like flies left and right.
A solid thirty minutes pass as Akira and PURE carve away at the massive horde of collected thugs, the last attacker was kicked in the face when Pure swings Akira with a kick. The ringleader is the last person standing and he is visibly shaken with anger.
"IMPOSSIBLE! I'll kick your ass myself!" he screamed as he charges at Pure, he actually caught Pure off guard with his speed! Pure had to dodge many kicks and punches before caught a right hook and shoved the man backwards. The man slide a few feet but came back even angrier than before and caught Pure with a solid uppercut!
Mr. Pure stumbled back stunned and for a second he saw stars, but he went on the attack this time throwing several punches and kicks, that the man dodged! When he did land a few blows it hardly phased the man and again the man round housed Pure knocking him back and to a knee. Akira was shocked that such a lowly man had gotten the upper hand on Mr. Pure, "Go big MISTER PURE!"
Akira was right, this thug wasn't endowed with some type of special power or anything like that, but he was wired up with something else. He was in some type of rage? Chemically? Pure didn't have time to ponder for long before the man attacked again, he barely blocked these strikes. He had to turn up the power on this man so with a yell of power Pure's eyes lit up bright blue through his mask as he planted a fist into the man's gut. The connection sent sparks of lightening from Pure's punch.
The man was winded. Pure the right crossed him across the cheek with an equal blow and the man folded like a towel. The scene was chaos as multitudes of men rolled around in pain, "Akira it is time to go," he took her hand and with the other pointed down at the leader, "Tell whoever sent you that a coward who can't fight his own battles is not fit to combat against me! His punishment will be that much worse!"
He bent slightly and with a small push Pure propelled himself into the air! He landed on a building across from that and with another leap he continued to the next until he was out of sight.
The leader finally got to his feet clearly dazed he fought to pull his burner phone and push the buttons, "He...Goodstone he got away...," was all he got out before falling out again.
