All the lights that one might deal with in the profession of sports entertainment: spotlights, camera lights, or just the house lights while wrestling center stage, to name a few; it’s surprising how many shadows each and every superstar lives in.
With the lights on them constantly, or so it would seem to most, the darkness still seems to find them, whether they were looking for it or not. The darkness of said shadows signify a lot of negative things in the business, and most choose to run from them. Then there are others that welcome it.
When the lights are off, both good and evil lurk. Whether you’ve sought the comfort obscurity, or it’s hunted you down, how one handles their time there makes all the difference. But the truth of the matter is, the same can be found in the afterglow
Whether you are charging into the darkness, or running towards the light, how you handle yourself amid that turmoil can be the difference in success and failure. Life and death.
For the likes of Kyle Shane and Gerard Angelo, they are on a full out sprint towards anything bright, but the darkness is on their heels. They would be lost without the light, but their struggle for it has welcomed the darkness.
So the shadows will come for them, and they won’t ever stop. If they succumb, they may never see the light again, but the longer they fight it, the more veiled that darkness gets for them in the end.
For the likes of Dominator and Horacio, they have been backpedaling towards the darkness since they arrived in Pure Class Wrestling. Hopping between shadows, trying to avoid the light, but something about them intrigues it.
So the light will try to pull them back, even if they don’t want it, if for anything else, to fight those living in the shadows that call themselves The Black Hand. Nothing more than the other hand, a false and severed appendage.
For Stormm. The light has welcomed him for years, and the darkness would only toy with him from time to time. But as of late, he’s started a pilgrimage towards the darkness. There has been no pushing or pulling from either end, a peaceful and calm trek down that lonely tunnel.
Just when things started looking dim, he would turn back towards the light. But lurking in the lightest of shadows, he could never step back into the light. An eternal struggle of seeking himself. A battle between good and evil. A war of light and shadow. Of life and death.
Both the the light and shadow would welcome him, but neither would fight him to stay, and he’s since lost himself somewhere in the vaccuum in between. The never light and murky. The always bright and gloomy.
So as he turns towards the shadows once more, he begins what he hopes to be his last journey down the tunnel. To find his spark in the darkness. His last journey in his career. The final path towards retirement. But there are more questions to be answered than if he’ll make it out the other side or not.
For him, it’s a whole story in itself.
This is his darkness.
These are his shadows.
