OOC: My stupid allergies are bugging me, so this effort is short and not what I originally had planned.
-----
There are no more chapters left to write.
The story has officially ended.
It ended with Rick Majors standing as the conquering hero. Two and a half years of his professional life was spent in some fashion with Jason Willard.
Rick was the better man. Rick brought the fight and had the fight taken to him. But he was the one who forced a submission.
If that wasn't enough for him, he ensured an early elimination for his nemesis in the Deadly Rumble.
There would be no rest for the weary.
Enter GRIMM.
The Hangtown Horror found himself on the wrong side of the record book following a World Title defeat against Justin "Stormm" Michaels.
Title reigns don't define an entity like Phinehas.
He is who he is for a reason. It's something that draws fear and respect. Grimm is Grimm.
Look back to this date: March 17th, 2019.
The event? The ninth annual Mass Destruction.
The first time that Jason Willard and Phinehas Grimm met in singles competition.
An unseen Rick Majors made his presence known prior to Seromine's entrance, ensuring he'd be fed to Grimm less than 100%.
A certain signature shovel had been made legal on the final Trauma prior to the big show. By the time things were over, some wondered if they were witnesses to a crime scene.
-----
Seromine sits back on his feet. His head is slumped down with hands placed in his lap. Sweat drips down like translucent drops of blood. Seromine is beaten to hell, in all sorts of pain, and looking as if the end is near. But his effort to mist things back in his favor, thereby enabling a potential second wind, has instead coated the shovel blade.
And Grimm is not pleased by the sight. Seromine lifts his head up. Sensing the inevitable, he fearfully eeks out "Mommy..." before the shovel is plunged diagonally between his eyes!! There is a mass collective chant of HOLY SHIT as the object is partially embedded. Blood spurts out of the wound. Grimm pulls it back as Seromine face plants on his hands. Grimm slams the shovel over and over and over to the head, neck, and back of Seromine, a play on his ABSOLUTION STOMP. Each shot unrelenting in its viciousness.
Finally...it ends. Lucy Willard has frantically raced down to the ring with overwhelming concern, bringing with her a white towel that gets tossed in at the referee's feet. The referee accepts the decision and calls for the bell. Lucy is in the ring and by her son's side before Nigel Gale even turns back around.
Sasha Greene: Here isyour winner, Grimm!
The grief stricken mother carefully applies the towel to Seromine's face. She screams at Nigel to get help to the ring. Grimm stares at what he's done, but with the win secured, departs without any further commitment to the proceeding. He's ushered out to Zeal and Ardor’s “You Ain’t Coming Back (Instrumental)."
If not for their job descriptions, Lucy would have gone after anyone that dared approach. Even as officials and a pair of paramedics work on Seromine, she remains right by his side. Nigel attempts to calm the waters and is promptly told through tears, "Look what you did to him! Look what you ALL did to him!"
Jerry Andrews (solemnly): I don't know what to say here, other than I hope Seromine will be alright.
-----
Jason Willard left the arena after Deadly Intentions less than 100%. The positive was that it was under his own power. The negative is that Grimm now awaits for a "Match on Haunted Hill" at Trauma.
History won't be repeating itself.
