Rick Majors found out about it while he was laid up on a stretcher in the back receiving medical attention. And no, this time it wasn’t “Brenna Gordon glues a cut shut while making you feel awful for trying to kill her” medical care. No, this was “Oh shit we think this guy might die, where’s the nearest hospital and do we have time to get there?” medical care.
That’s what an axe handle to the spine will do. Thanks, Holden.
At first Rick Majors thought that he might have misheard, since the ringing in his ears made it tough to comprehend what people were talking about, but then someone said it again. “South Texas Deathride.”
Rick Majors was gonna get himself an STD!
That’s not funny. This is a serious situation. Rick Majors almost died out there and, to be honest, they almost died too. "They" was in reference to the STD crew. Holden Ross and David Hunter certainly did a number on Bret and Shawn or Bret and Jack or Jackson and Burt or whoever they were. Rick Majors couldn't remember their names right now. And that wasn’t because of a lack of respect. No, Rick Majors could barely remember anything right now. In between coming out to the ring and leaving the ringside area on a stretcher, it all felt like a blur, so he can probably be forgiven in this instance. But Holden Ross won't be.
This isn't over. Not even close.
Remembering names and then forgetting names was something Risk Majors had experienced a lot. After all, he had to. He couldn't possibly remember ever wrestler he'd ever interacted with. Rick Majors has seen hundreds of wrestlers come and go. And that wasn’t a shot at the ol’ STDs either. If anything, it was a shot at how damn old Rick Majors is. He’s been wrestling for longer than most current wrestlers have been alive. And yet he’s still going out there and risking his life every night.
Why? And why did he demand this match as he was being stretchered to the back? Did he have a death wish? Or a death ride? This was no time for dumb jokes. It was time to seriously examine the decisions he had been making. He didn’t think he wanted to die. But he did scream “GIVE ME THOSE THREE IN A MATCH NEXT TRAUMA! I DON’T CARE WHO MY PARTNERS ARE!?” as he medical team tried to prevent his paralysis, so anything's possible.
Teaming with the South Texas Deathride made sense. All three of them had been brutalized by Pandæmonium on the same night. And they were all brutalized badly. If you would have asked most rational people, most would guess that the three of them wouldn’t make it to the next episode of Trauma. And yet they were going to. At least Rick Majors hoped they would.
He would take on Pandæmonium all by himself if he had to, but the odds in that situation weren’t very good. So it would be nice if Bret and Jackson (yeah, THAT was it!) would be there to help. Holden Ross was proving to be quite difficult to stop.
Of course, Rick Majors was proving quite difficult to stop as well, and Holden Ross was most certainly trying. Maybe next time he’d bring the sharp part of the axe too. What was that part called again? Damn... blows to the head. Why was it so tough to think right now?
Oh yeah, the beatings.
It was starting to feel like this thing with Holden Ross and the Panda Modem group was going to go on forever. Neither side was ever going to give up. Neither side was ever going to quit. It was just going to get worse and worse and more violent and more dangerous and… Panda Modem? Oh, that’s not sound thinking. It's Panda.... modem? Why words not work now?
This was a tough night, but Rick Majors was still standing. While, currently he was strapped to a stretcher, but he was figuratively still standing. Sort of. He would live to fight another day. Maybe? Yes. He would be there on Trauma to stand up to Holden Ross one more time. He would… oh… he’s being loaded into an ambulance now. Hopefully the hospital discharges him in time for the match.
