So, after all the technological hiccups I've had the last week or two, this is all my Google Chrome/Drive has left me with on my RP. Rather than trying to throw somethign togehter in the spots I've lost (that I know would not be anywhere near as good as I had last weekend when this happened the first time), I'll just leave it at the intro, my notes for the rest of the RP, and the narration pieces. Basically everything I had done shortly after T262 to begin with before trying to add the meat and potatoes of the RP in.
“I don’t think you understand what I’m saying, Justin!” Lindsay yelled as the couple engaged in one of their most heated arguments in weeks, months, or maybe even the last couple of years.
His frustration could not have been more apparent towards his lovely wife, and no amount of love that he had for her could prevent the hate that seethed between his clenched teeth. “How am I supposed to understand what you are saying when you aren’t saying a damn thing, Lindsay?” He shouted back at her as he circled the island in the kitchen of Michaels Manor.
Having taken her seat at the bar, out of frustration more than anything, she was on the verge of tears. “I hate when you get like this!”
“Like what?!” He snapped back.
Lindsay’s chin wrinkled as her jaw clenched up, and it was all she could do to prevent completely breaking down. “You get so caught up in the drama, that you forget what’s important, and completely overlook what’s right in front of you!”
“I see you, Lindsay! I see the kids, too! But if I don’t do this, that asshole is just going to keep pestering me… Us.” He paused, and stopped in front of the sink, directly across the island from where Lindsay was sitting. “He won’t leave us alone, and he’ll keep on thinking he’s ruining my… Our.” He stumbled once more. “Our lives.”
Two tears rolled down her cheeks, one from each eye, and one right after the other. Her blond hair that she had pulled back into a ponytail wave from side to side as she shook her head, still doing everything in her power to prevent from bawling. “Why does it matter, if you know it’s all an act now?”
“Because if I don’t do something now, some day, it might not be an act.” Justin affirmed.
“And what if it isn’t an act now, and he’s setting you up by getting you in the middle of nowhere… in CHINA?” The emphasis on her husband going thousands of miles away, and the thought of something happening to him there was too much for her to handle, and she buried her face in her hands.
Justin took a couple moments to let her settle down before he responded so she wouldn’t completely lose it. The silence had given him plenty of time to chew on the inside of both cheeks, as he typically had done when aggravated, and not able to speak his mind.
Through the silence, and covering the whimpers of Lindsay’s obvious frustrations were the stiff Kansas winds of late Autumn. They had been exceptionally annoying for the past few days, and it showed with every Michaels in the family.
“I wasted so much time letting Damian do this same shit without doing anything about it, and I don’t plan on letting…” He couldn’t get his whole thought out before he was interrupted.
Slapping the granite countertop with both hands and pushing herself out of the bar stool, Lindsay stood up and scowled at her husband. “That’s just it, you can’t seem to just live a normal life, you have to let this nonsense consume you.”
“What part of our fucking lives has ever been normal, Linds?” He asked her in a very aggressive manner, knowing it was a rhetorical question to begin with. “For that matter, would either of us be happy with a so-called ‘normal’ life together?”
“That’s not the…” It was Justin’s turn to interrupt Lindsay this time.
“It’s exactly the point. We would be miserable working normal jobs, living in some quaint ranch-style home in the rural Midwest somewhere where you’d probably just be watching television while I messed around on the computer.” Justin insisted as his imagination ran wild with what their life might be if they were “normal.” “Our lives weren’t normal before we met, and they will continue to not be normal, so why the Hell do we have to fight about it like they ever will be?”
Justin gave her some time to respond, but the wind gusts outside in place of where they both wished silence would have been, were too much to bear, and Justin broke the monotony. “I don’t promise anything normal, but I can promise happiness; at the very least, do what I can to ensure it. But I can’t do that without taking care of this asshole first.”
Lindsay still didn’t give any response, and the two stood staring at each other for what felt like an hour before Justin couldn’t take it any longer. “Well?” He asked
“You gonna quit hollerin’ down a well?” Her Southern accent didn’t surface much anymore, in fact, it was quite a shock when that twang came out, as Justin couldn’t remember the last time he’d heard it.
He knew she wasn’t happy, but her cadence brought a smile to his face anyway, and as soon as he smiled, he knew it was going to piss her off even more. “Do what now?” He questioned with an unintentional chuckle.
“I swear it’s like trying to bag flies with you sometimes, but if you’re going, quit wasting time, and get.” She broke a little smile, not necessarily one of happiness, but a smile nevertheless, and Justin galloped over to her, and gave her a kiss.
“I love you.” He said to her, as he wrapped his arms around her, whether she wanted him to or not.
“Oh, bless your heart.” She responded, that time with a genuine smile, and he smiled back. “Don’t come back until it’s done, because I don’t want you going back there again, so make it count.” She asserted.
“Trust me, after this, I’ll have had my fill of the Orient.” He kissed her on the cheek and gave her a little wink. “Don’t go complaining about me too much at your fundraiser while I’m gone, either.” He joked, as he let go of the embrace and made his way out of the kitchen.
“Don’t worry, I will!” Lindsay guaranteed with a smirk as she watched her husband walk out of view. “I love you too.” She said quietly as another lone tear fell down her face. “Even if you are an idiot.”
...Shadow of the Blood Battle...
I’ll be honest with you both right now, I knew the real reason she was upset with me going that last time. I eventually admitted it to her later, and she hit me for it, but I knew why she got so emotional. All the signs that I had been oblivious to the first time were there. But, you see, I couldn’t let that stand in my way, and I wouldn't let it scare me. If I had, I would have gotten stuck in another loop with Kinzo, like I had been stuck in with that piece of shit uncle, Wayne.
It was maybe a little naive of me to have gone back thinking I could just walk in there and put a stop to everything. Kinzo had obviously put a significant amount of time into plotting his revenge on me. I guess it was lucky for all of us that it unraveled so quickly for him. It was also really lucky for me that he was just as naive to think I wouldn’t walk through his front door to put an end to it using his story against him.
And just like that, it was over. A year of hell had come to an end. Not only that, but a dead and long forgotten appendance of the organization that Kinzo had tried to revive had been laid to rest. While I still don’t care to be associated with the real Black Hand, at least they never tried to be something they weren’t.
As for Gerry and Pandæmonium, their fate wasn’t going to end much differently than Kinzo’s. They came together, and plotted their undisputed ascension of Pure Class Wrestling, but they had forgotten one very big detail, unions like that never last. Too many egos who, ultimately, only want the same thing in the end. Gerard had conned Hunter and Holden into teaming up, and would try to achieve his goal by helping him take the World title from me. But even if he did succeed, what was next? Those two would eventually want what Gerard had, and would fall apart.
So, rather than letting them drag their nonsense on too long, I planned to put an end to it before it even got started. They could come after me with all they had, but it still wouldn’t be enough to take something from me that I worked so hard to obtain in the first place, let alone get back again.
There were holes in their plans, no matter how fool-proof they thought it would be; and just like Kinzo, I planned to leave Gerard beaten, and empty-handed as well!
