Pure Class Wrestling Presents: Trauma 269
Friday April 24th, 2020
Trauma opens backstage to show a closeup of a white t-shirt. The camera is pulled in as close as it can to the block lettering on the first line, reading "I GOT MY", then tracks down to line two, "FAVORITISM", before panning down to the punchline on the third line of the shirt "FROM PRESIDENT LOKI". Then, the camera fully pulls out to show Kyle Shane, the owner of the shirt, winking into the camera as he stands beside Kassandra Black, who is preparing for an interview.
Kassandra Black: Kyle, tonight we determine who will go through the Last Chance Battle Royale for the last spot in the 2020 Icemann Invitational Tournament. The field of people announced includes Underground Champion Jason Willard, David Hunter and Gerard Angelo, all of whom you have a history with. And any one of them could be the last one standing and win their way into the tournament. Is there any one of them you're keeping your eye on?
And then, almost as an afterthought, she looks at his t-shirt. She seems to weigh asking about it for a fraction of a second, but.
Kassandra Black: ...And what's with the shirt?
Kyle Shane: Well, you know, Kass, I've tried fighting against Gerard Angelo shrieking that management looks out for me every way I can; I've tried ignoring it and letting him think whatever, I've tried hanging a lampshade on the fact that we don't actually know who the on-screen president of the federation is because Luis Malave died or some shit, I've just come out and said there's no fucking favoritism, and yet the first words Gerry cried were "Waaaah why is Kyle in the tournament and I'm nooooot" so I decided I may as well fucking embrace it. Because I had anything to do with that. Yes. Loki, Luis Malave's ghost, three raccoons in a trenchcoat, whomever the fuck is currently Pure Class Wrestling's President, I am their golden boy and they put me above everyone else. In fact, it doesn't matter if my opponents put out an effort on any given week or not, Pure Class Wrestling's President have decided, since I'm the golden boy, that I'm going to be winning. Obviously that's what happened, you know, since I didn't have a bad 2019 at all professionally.
Having tired of the sarcastic facade, Kyle strips the shirt off, making a symbolic gesture of blowing his nose on it and tossing it away as he's wearing a collared shirt with the sleeves rolled up underneath. Not like it matters, we're obviously still going to hear some mental gymnastic reason that Kyle Shane is getting favors, right.
Kyle Shane: On to the Last Chance Battle Royale, obviously you can't overlook the fact that - Pandemonium? Is that their names? God, that sucks - That Gerard and David are both in this trying to keep their faction strong. And I'd be wrong to overlook them, either of them. But I laid out a simple declaration of intent when I caved in David's skull in the first round, that I am reinvigorated. And have a new outlook. So while I'll take on either one of them, if they make it through, I'm not putting it past Willard. Or the returning Monroe. Hell, I think Alexa Black has the potential to shock the world. Any and all, is my motto since coming back. Because it took a bad 2019 to make me reevaluate how I'm going to approach this. If I'm going to be just all ego, none of them can touch me, I crush everything I walk towards or if I'm gonna put up, shut up, and show people what I'm made of.
Kyle crosses his arms over his chest.
Kyle Shane: Like I said before, my focus isn't on chasing glory, or grabbing all of the gold I can get my hands on. My focus is simply proving that one bad year does not define me. That people's opinions don't define me. I do this because I have something to prove. And I'm fighting like none of them have ever seen me before, because I let myself slide last year and I paid the worst price for it. So if it's Gerard, I welcome it and I want him to squeal I'm a golden boy and that I can't beat him. If it's Willard, I want him to show me the newfound purpose he's got with his family connections. And I know, I'm probably drawing Grimm in my next round match too, before I even meet them in the finals. Hell, it could be anybody. I am coming into the tournament more focused than I've ever been, and with a clearer understanding of what I want. The achievement I am going to be unlocking here, is a simpler one. I didn't let 2019 stop me. I didn't let a concussion and a broken back stop me. If that couldn't put an end to Kyle Shane, then they don't stand a chance.
Kassandra runs over his words in her mind before her eyes shift and she glances at the iPhone in Kyle's hand.
Kassandra Black: Switching gears, Kyle, I wanted to ask you about your potential relationship with Brenna Gordon.
Kyle sputters, and the question takes him off guard, but he recovers.
Kyle Shane: I'm not sure what you mean and also, what exactly are you trying to say?
He plays it cool, like the cocky yet aloofly removed figure he is normally, but his eyes dart back and forth from Kassandra to the camera.
Kassandra Black: It's just that, you and she passed in the halls on an episode of Trauma, and she seemed to acknowledge you in a strange way, it was almost like there was a connection we hadn't seen.
Kyle's smirk has a little bit of a bullshitting edge to it now.
Kyle Shane: So we can't say hi to people now? You heard that, right, random person holding a clipboard so it looks like you're working, I can't say hi to you if I pass you in the hallway.
Backstage worker: ...My name is Ashley.
Kyle Shane: And you, person holding up the boom mics, don't say hi to people, Kassandra will insinuate that there's a relationship going on between you and want you to dish the dirt.
Kassandra Black: Okay, well, I was just -
Kyle gets a text on his phone, and a smile breaks over his face. He starts texting back, then he becomes aware the camera is close in on him and Kassandra is craning her head back to kind of peer out of the corner of her eyes with a raised eyebrow, "oh this is interesting" kind of expression. Kyle, irritated, clamps the phone against his chest.
Kyle Shane: ...Do you heathens mind? God, I gotta get some privacy. Interview over.
Kassandra watches him go, and the camera zooms in on Kyle's phone really close to show a text thread with the name "BREN" at the top as Kyle walks on down the hallway. Then, it pans back to Kassandra's face, looking satisfied.
Kassandra Black: Kyle Shane, everyone.
The scene switches to ringside.
Jerry Andrews: Ladies and gentlemen, I'm Jerry Andrews and welcome to a very unique episode of Trauma!
Ace Anderson: That's right, we've only got one match on the card tonight but what a match it will be! The Last Chance Battle Royal!!
Trauma's lone match is nearly set to begin as entrants have started filling the ring. There's plenty of bad blood in this match, so PCW has stepped up their security to ensure that nothing goes down before the bell. In the case of Alexa Black, a straitjacket is not out of the question as the human restraints struggle to keep her from taking aim at David Hunter, who is also accosting current North American champion, Cory Steel. Willard is busy eating cotton candy while flipping Rick Majors off for his verbal assault. Gerard and Brenna Gordon throw eye daggers at each other while Holden agitates her from the commentary table.
Jerry Andrews: This has all the makings of complete meltdown before it officially gets underway!
Ace Anderson: When you consider how many of them dislike each other and toss in the prize of moving on to the semi-finals of the Icemann Invitational, things are bound to get out of hand!
Jerry Andrews: Speaking of the semi-finals, Holden Ross has joined us. He'll get the winner of this match, so maybe he'd like to provide some comments before everything gets underway.
Holden Ross: Iām going to beat whoever wins so this match means nothing.
Jerry Andrews: Okayā¦. anything else?
Holden Ross: No.
Jerry Andrews: ā¦. Okay.
Sasha Greene: The following match is the LAST CHANCE BATTLE ROYAL!
The faithful erupt.
Sasha Greene: In order to be eliminated, individuals must go over the top with both feet touching the floor. The winner of the match will move on to the semifinals of the Icemann Invitational Tournament!
Sasha takes her leave, but just before the bell sounds...
āTell 'em take an I.O.U.ā
The deep base hits first, washing over the arena before the rest of the song kicks in. MONROE is shown on the screen, flanked by three individuals on either side all clad in blank three piece suits with skinny ties. Their only identifiers being that of skeletal masks upon their shoulders, each with a certain level of subtle personal detail added to them. The group, collectively known as MURDER, slowly begin to walk forward. Giving him a wide birth, he's clad in a large black fur coat, with a long tail trailing behind. The group of uniformed individuals are first through the curtain, signaling MONROE's arrival to the PCW audience.
Before he enters the stage a bit of fog begins to cover the ground, after a moment or two, at intervals of three seconds, pillars of flames erupt from either side of the stage, similar to the MURDER grouping, three on each side and one of the members standing behind these displays. It is then that MONROE walks on to the stage. He takes a moment to bounce in place, rolling his wrist on either side of his body before extending his arms and stretching them across his chest. After a moment of two of pacing, he begins to descend the ramp.
"Levitating off the blacktop."
MURDER remains flanked on either side of MONROE as he makes his way to the ring. He doesn't interact with crowd nor does he seem too intent of creating anymore pomp and circumstance than already present. Stopping at the end of the ramp, MURDER is quick to converge upon MONROE, slowly lifting the fur coat away from his figure and allowing him the freedom of moment to climb the stairs and walk the apron. He does a slow march on the apron, navigating around three lengths before entering beneath the top rope opposite of the entry ramp.
Sasha Greene: "Standing six feet two inches and weighing in at two-hundred and seventy-two pounds, he is The Promised End, MONROE!"
Jerry Andrews: WOW! This is quite the shock and surprise!
Ace Anderson: This is unbelievable!
Holden Ross: Yeah, okayā¦.
DING!
DING!
DING!
The Last Chance Battle Royal
A napalm bomb being dropped would've been a better choice. The time for jaw jacking to stop and physical violence to begin has been legalized as rivals immediately go right after one another. Alexa straight up mauls David Hunter despite his efforts to stay free of being cornered. She's assisted by Cory Steel.
Jerry Andrews: Folks, I just want to let you know right off the top that we have reached an arrangement with TBS to air this show with limited commercial interruption. While we may have to cut away to pay the bills, we will do everything we can to keep those breaks short and not take too many.
Ace Anderson: And the cameras will keep rolling all night to make sure you don't miss anything.... wait, do modern TV cameras "roll?"
Willard and Majors have engaged in a heated slugfest that shows they are picking up where they left off. Brenna has the quick upper hand on Gerard Angelo, but he's not without some counter measures of his own. Monroe has begun to make mince meat out of both High Tide and Razor Blade with alternating European uppercuts. His rotations are like a saw violently cutting through whatever is in the way.
Alexa has decided why punish one when two is even better as she takes control of Cory Steel. This doesn't get Hunter out of harm's way as he still finds himself battered by Alexa's brand of unbridled violence. Willard was under siege from Rick Majors, but a quick gouging of the eyes changes that. Gerard is being hit up by knife edge chops as Brenna works him over. Monroe staggers Razor against the ropes with a shoot style knee to the bridge of the nose. High Tide is decimated by a spinning back fist. The first was avoided, but he forgot about the opposite side.
Jerry Andrews: Monroe is putting his mark on the early part of this match. What if you were to face him, Holden?
Holden Ross: Huh? What was that? I wasnāt watching. Like I said, this match doesnāt matter.
Alexa practically strangles Hunter while he tries to snap her over in a cross arm breaker. Her foot is shoved into the windpipe of Cory Steel, but he's working vigorously to free himself. Willard has Majors against the ropes, but meets dead weight resistance. A side Russian leg sweep is blocked by Gerard, but his counter swinging neckbreaker is not.
Monroe stacks High Tide and Razor Blade in the corner. He opens himself up to taking a strike a piece from them, but all that has done is make Monroe strike back three times as hard with devastating results in the form of roundhouse kicks around the temple area. Off-camera there is a LOUD crack as Alexa Black has been hit with David's signature weapon. That's thanks to Holden Ross. David throws him a thumbs up and proceeds to work her over with a ground and pound.
Willard is peppered by combination strikes from Majors. He catches an incoming Savate kick, however, but The Happiest Place on Earth is countered by a swinging DDT! Just as Gerard is about to end Brenna's night, Monroe introduces himself with a running body scissors takedown. He swiftly shifts into forearm shivers in order to disorient The Hollywood Hero. Gerard, however, is quick to capture a kimura lock on The Promised End!
Jerry Andrews: Nice reversal by Gerard Angelo!
Holden Ross: Of course! What did you expect?
Ace Anderson: Yeah, Jerry, have some respect!
Majors tries dumping Willard over the top, but gets clipped with an elbow. This causes him to momentarily turn away, giving Willard the chance to dump him head first into the turnbuckles with a violent throw. Cory finds himself getting some offense against High Tide as his size is too much to overcome. Razor Blade has just managed to press slam Brenna Gordon and Gerard is doing his best to slow down the onslaught of Monroe's quick, violent strikes.
Holden Ross: Gerry showing how itās done! Yeah! Come on David! Get her!
David Hunter punishes Alexa's neck with a trio of German suplexes, the last of which is a release into the corner. After he gathers himself, he quickly joins Razor Blade in taking Brenna Gordon apart with some surprising tandem offense. Cory Steel hip tosses High Tide into them! His big boot is redirected by Monroe into Gerard Angelo, which then allows The Murder Empire an opportunity to land some close quarters offense to the torso of Cory. However, Cory's grizzly instincts allow him to match violence with violence and it becomes something that puts him slightly ahead.
Willard slides himself under the bottom rope in order to target Rick's neck! Majors is unwilling to go along with it. Majors pulls Willard inside and feeds him to Alexa, who promptly hits a massive chokeslam before charging at Majors. Hunter Suite cuts her off! The Centre of Attention takes Hunter down! One Hit Wonder leaves Gerard standing tall over Majors...
The lights go out.
Ace Anderson: Hey! The match has been going on. Nobody else is allowed in!
Holden Ross: This cheap ass companyā¦.
Time feels as if it slows in the moments of anticipation. When they do come back on, STORMM is inside the ring! That brings the entire faithful to their feet. Their ovation is overwhelming the decibel meter as he makes his presence felt. He takes Gerard and Hunter to task for what they've done over the last few months with a trademark staple called the Hangcloud DDT. High Tide tries to interject himself, but Stormm promptly puts him over the top rope for the poor decision.
"HIGH TIDE HAS BEEN ELIMINATED!"
Stormm scans the ring. Willard had been inside, but is nowhere to be found now. The chants of STORMM! STORMM! STORMM! start gaining steam. He continues to work on Gerard. One heavy strike sends him into Brenna Gordon. Stormm goes for the charge. Angelo drops down, leaving Brenna to take the consequences as she hits the floor.
"BRENNA GORDON HAS BEEN ELIMINATED!"
Gerard rolls out of the ring, drawing Stormm to come out after him. He introduces his signature Louisville slugger while moving in Gerard's direction. As he turns the corner to the announce table, Holden Ross gets put down with a swift swing!
Jerry Andrews: Hey, what the hell!?
Ace Anderson: Hahaha!!!
Holden Ross: ā¦ what?
Angelo jumps back in just as the lights go off again. When they return, Stormm is nowhere to be found.
Ace Anderson: Good riddance!
Willard returns to the ring after knowing the coast is clear. He peeks just above the apron and comes into view with Monroe's boots. Willard slowly lifts his head up until he catches a full gaze of his paint. Gerard throws him to the wolf and then enters from the far side. Despite Monroe getting blue misted, he's able to sense where Willard is and is able to bring him down with a fireman's carry.
A series of alternating knees crash into Willard like tidal waves hitting a coast. Gerard finds himself targeting Cory Steel with a quick strike offense. Alexa is able to ground David Hunter with some impressive submission work and Majors is busy trying to dump Razor Blade over the top. Monroe finds his Irish whip getting reversed and then he gets pulled into a rolling elbow. Willard shoves him onto Alexa Black and then turns his focus onto HELPING Majors with Razor Blade.
Jerry Andrews: Why on earth would he help his enemy??
Ace Anderson: Why not? It'd be one less name to deal with if they can dump Razor Blade.
They can't and it leads to a pair of Superman punches while they trade fists. Razor hits the ropes. SPEAR to Cory Steel. Gerard quickly heaves Razor over the top rope, but he hangs on and stands on the apron. Gerard fakes him out, but his next attempt is cut off by Monroe landing a Dragon suplex. Alexa takes advantage of the situation by targeting Monroe with a pop-up Samoan drop.
Jerry Andrews: Ladies and gentlemen, we have to take a very short break, but we promise that weāll show you anything youāve missed when we return!
Ace Anderson: Weāre back, and no one was eliminated during the break, but what a battle we saw in this ring!
Cory Steel starts burying heavy boxing strikes to the insides of Rick Majors. He gets him backed against a corner but Majors refuses to stay down. Believe in This! No! Cory dumps Majors with a spinning powerbomb. Cory is on his knees and here comes David Hunter with Ode to Frank! Hunter pulls the North American champion up. He holds him for Gerard. Hero's Welcome! Cory bounces halfway back on the top rope.
Jerry Andrews: Cory is gone! Two-thirds of Pandaemonium saw to it and that should give David Hunter something to talk about!
Holden Ross: Hahaha! Yes!
"CORY STEEL HAS BEEN ELIMINATED!"
Ace Anderson: OH MY GOD! RAZOR ELIMINATES HUNTER!!
Holden Ross: What theā¦.. wait a second.
Razor catches everyone by surprise with a shock elimination of the man who has a Valentine level crush on him. No sooner did Gerard and Hunter celebrate does Razor sneak in to hit Razor's Edge!
"DAVID HUNTER HAS BEEN ELIMINATED!"
Holden Ross rushes over to the ring, but heās stopped by the referees. Inside the ring, Gerard Angelo takes Razor to task over the elimination, but Razor fights with everything he's got. Being so close to the ropes means everyone is coming for him. Razor gets his way out of danger. That is until Monroe flies in with a brutal uppercut that may make Razor feel like he's a rock 'em sock 'em robot. The trio of Willard, Gerard and Alexa band together to target Monroe. They nearly have him out of the match, but his propensity for brutal violence is too much.
Willard is hit with a flatliner. Monroe rolls back to hit Alexa with a double pump knee lift square to her face. Angelo hops over a leg sweep. Monroe dodges a clothesline and then hits a spinning roundhouse. Majors gets flattened by a palm strike. Monroe turns his attention to Razor Blade. Following a belly-to-belly suplex, he floats over to a dragon sleeper. Alexa has a fast recovery. She picks BOTH men in the air while Monroe keeps the submission cinched. It becomes a hybrid reverse and implant DDT. The moment is cognizant enough to find his bearings, Willard puts him out of the match with Little Boy Blue!
"RAZOR BLADE HAS BEEN ELIMINATED!"
Holden Ross: Serves him right!
Jerry Andrews: What were you trying to do at ringside there, Holden?
Holden Ross: Shut up.
Monroe is battling Alexa Black in the corner. Rick Majors manages to attack Willard from behind. Gerard Angelo slides under the bottom ropes and walks over to the announce table.
Holden Ross: Howās it going, brother?
Ross and Angelo high-five and Gerry takes a seat at the announce table to watch the show. Monroe pummels Black with a series of strikes in the corner. He then pulls her out and hits a pumphandle neckbreaker!
Jerry Andrews: The Gamera!!!
On the other side of the ring, Majors grabs Willard and throws him through the ropes! Willard hits the floor!
Jerry Andrews: No, no! He went through the ropes, not over them! Jason Willard is still in this match!
Majors follows his rival to the outside, rolling under the bottom ropes. He grabs him and throws him into the ringside barrier. Majors pulls Willard up, but Jason strikes him in the face with an elbow. He then hits a European uppercut that leaves Majors staggered.
Inside, Monroe pulls Alexa up. He swings with a strike, but she manages to avoid it. She then knees him in the stomach and turns, connecting with a spinning backfist! Alexa Black tries to drag Monroe to the ropes, but he stops her by striking her in the stomach. He then hits a back drop.
Outside the ring, Willard tries to throw Majors into the ringside steps, but Majors reverses it and sends the Underground King into the steps instead! Majors then tries to walk off the pain, circling the ring. As he does, heās clotheslined from behind by Holden Ross! Holden and Gerard Angelo begin a double team on Majors, stomping him down to the floor! Holden Ross laughs as Gerard Angelo rolls a battered Majors into the ring.
Jerry Andrews: What the hell was that!?
Holden Ross: What?
Ace Anderson: Yeah, what?
Holden Ross: He was coming to attack me. I have a right to defend myself.
Gerard Angelo enters the ring, but heās immediately attacked by Monroe, who unleashes a series of strikes. Angelo tries to fight back. Suddenly, Alexa Black attacks Monroe from behind! She throws him into the corner and then charges. Monroe gets underneath her and tosses her over his head! She lands on her feet on the apron!
Jerry Andrews: Oh my God! What strength by Monroe! And what balance by Alexa Black!
Monroe rushes at her with a clothesline, but she ducks it. She fires back with several strong punches. Monroe blocks one and decks her with a strong right handā¦. she falls to the floor!
"ALEXA BLACK HAS BEEN ELIMINATED!!!"
Jerry Andrews: Weāre down to our final four: Monroe, Gerard Angelo, Jason Willard, and Rick Majors!
Ace Anderson: One of these four competitors will move on to face Holden Ross in the second round of the Icemann Invitational Tournament!
Holden Ross: Yeah, and theyāll lose.
Jerry Andrews: Again, we have to take a short break, but weāll keep the cameras rolling!
As Trauma returns, Rick Majors and Jason Willard have returned to the ring and ā big surprise ā theyāre fighting each other. On the other side, Monroe and Gerard Angelo are going move-for-move with one another, neither competitor able to get a real advantage.
The lock up, but Monroe shoves Angelo backwards. They lock up again, and this time Angelo pushes back. Angelo and Monroe lock up once more. Now Monroe gets the upper hand and trips Gerard Angelo over his right leg. Angelo rolls onto the mat as Monroe rolls behind him and latches on a headlock. Gerard Angelo waves his arms wildly, trying to break free, but Monroe holds on strong.
Jerry Andrews: Monroe going technical here!
As Gerard Angelo tries to break free, Monroe gets to his feet. Monroe then drills a knee into the back of Gerard Angelo's head as he releases the hold. Gerard Angelo, clutching his head, tries to get to his feet. Monroe, noting Angelo is dazed, latches on with another headlock. Also, with a quick sweep of his leg, Monroe sends Angelo back onto the mat.
Jerry Andrews: A leg sweep with a headlock! That has to hurt Gerard Angelo.
Ace Anderson: This is vintage Monroe and Gerard Angelo is in a bind.
Monroe goes for an elbow drop, but Gerard Angelo manages to pull himself under the ropes. He then thuds on the floor. He clutches his ribs in pain.
Jerry Andrews: Angelo leaves the ring again!
Ace Anderson: Smart move!
Holden Ross: I wouldnāt expect any less!
Gerard Angelo slowly sits up and checks his head. Meanwhile, Monroe goes through the ropes to follow his opponent.
Inside the ring, Majors comes at Willard. Willard hits a drop toe hold on Majors and his neck hits the bottom rope. Jason Willard pulls his opponent up. He hits him with a left and a right and then picks him up and drops him on his knee and flipping him to the mat. Willard gets to his feet as he drops a leg drop on Majors.
Willard drives his knee into his opponentās spine and he pulls Majorsā up, cranking back and further driving his knee into the back of Majors. Majors fights it and slowly works up to his feet as Willard follows. Majors with an elbow to the sternum of Willard then another as Willard releases but grabs Majorsā head and drops a reverse falling DDT.
Ace Anderson: Ouch!
Jerry Andrews: Rick Majors looks to be in trouble here!
Holden Ross: Oh, thatās such a shame.
Willard stomps at the Majors a little bit and then drops an elbow onto him. Willard gets back to his feet as he grabs the legs of Majors and spreads them as he stomps on the sternum of Majors. Willard then drops an elbow on the left leg of Majors as he wrenches it.
Ace Anderson: Jason Willard is just dissecting Majorsā here!
Jerry Andrews: Look whatās heās targeting: Majorsā neck and his knee. He knows the weak spots of the former Gabriel.
Majors kicks Willard off him as he slowly gets to his feet. Willard catches Majors with a closeline as Majors gets to his feet. Willard tells Majors to get up. Willard grabs Majors and pulls him up as he grabs him and hits a leaping brainbuster. He then throws him through the ropes and out of the ring! Willard comes under the ropes with a baseball slide as Majors stands up, but Rick walks a few steps back and hits an elbow into the chest of Willard as he lies halfway out of the ring. He then pulls him all the way out.
Jerry Andrews: None of the competitors are actually in the ring right now! What a battle! What chaos!
Holden Ross: What a waste of time.
On the other side of the ring, Monroe lifts Angelo off the ground and heaves him into the security barrier. With a thud, Angelo rebounds back into Monroe' hands. Monroe grabs onto Angelo's head and follows through with a painful crack of the skull onto the barrier. He pulls Angelo up again, but Gerard hits him with an elbow to the stomach. He then takes a step backā¦
Ace Anderson: One Hit Wonder!
Holden Ross: Yeah!!!
Angelo takes a minute to compose himself. He then pulls Monroe up and slams him head-first into the edge of the ring. He then slugs him in the face before rolling him back into the ring. After a short breather, Angelo follows.
On the other side, Majors grabs Willard and slams him spine-first into the barrier. He pulls him off, but Willard hits a stiff right hand to the face. Majors is staggered, but he swings back. Willard ducks, grabs Majors and hits a snap dragon suplex!
Jerry Andrews: BEDTIME STORY ON THE FLOOR!
Inside the ring, Angelo pulls Monroe to his feet, but Monroe fires back with a right hand followed by a big clothesline.
Majors looks to be out cold on the outside. Willard smiles and is about to attack his opponent again, but he sees Monroe walk by him in the ring and canāt help tripping him up. Willard enters the ring and pounces on Monroe, mounting him and delivering several strong forearms to the face. As Willard gets upā¦.
Jerry Andrews: Boom! Jason Willardās head is almost taken off by that One Hit Wonder!
Willard hits the mat with a thud. Angelo pulls him up and tries to drag him over to the ropes. Willard manages to grab the top rope and steady himself. Angelo hits him with several strikes to the spine, but Willard battles back. The two men end up in a slug festā¦ one that quickly comes to an end as Monroe takes them both down with a double clothesline!
Jerry Andrews: Ladies and gentlemen, Iām so sorry, but we have to take another break! Donāt go anywhere!
When Trauma returns, Monroe is working Willard over in the corner and Angelo is down on the mat. Rick Majors is slowly trying to get back into the ring. Angelo sees this and he rolls under the ropes. He attacks Majors and throws him into the steel stairs! He then smiles and rolls the battered Majors back into the ring.
Jerry Andrews: Smart move by Gerard Angelo taking on Majors right now. Rick Majors can barely stand.
Angelo re-entersā¦. but heās dropped to the mat by a double leg takedown from Monroe! Majors struggles to get to his feet as Monroe explodes with rights and lefts onto Angelo. Willard is back up as well. As Monroe stands, Willard runs at him with a clothesline, taking him down! Willard now pulls Monroe up, but heās hit with a chinbreaker! Monroe throws Willard now, sending him over the ropes! Willard manages to hold on and he steadies himself on the apron Monroe approaches him and Willard kicks through the ropes, staggering Monroe. Willard re-enters the ring and he runs at Monroe!
Jerry Andrews: LITTLE BOY BLUE!
Monroe hits the mat hard. Willard looks very pleased with himself and he looks out at the crowd. His smile gets even wider and he waves out to someone. āHi Mommy!!!ā The camera catches Lucy sitting in among the Faithful. Willard stares at her for a momentā¦. and heās grabbed from behind and tossed from the ring by Rick Majors!!!!
The crowd explodes and Jason Willard flies over the top rope and hits the floor!
"JASON WILLARD HAS BEEN ELIMINATED!!"
The camera again catches Lucy, who is giving an incredibly stern look. Majors doesnāt have any time to savour the moment, however, as Gerard Angelo is on him immediately. He throws him into the corner and stomps away on him. As Angelo walks out of the corner, he walks right into a running big boot from Monroe!
Jerry Andrews: Kenta Kick!!!
Ace Anderson: My God!
Monroe reaches down to pull Angelo up, but Majors attacks him from behind! Monroe turns and fires away at Majors, slugging him into the corner. He then scoops him up and tosses him over the top ropes!
"RICK MAJORS HAS BEEN ELIMINATED!!!!"
Jerry Andrews: That wasnāt very wise of Majors to attack Monroe there.
Ace Anderson: I guess he was trying to slow him down, but, yeahā¦.
Holden Ross: Newsflash: Rick Majors is dumb.
Monroe turns around and heās in a staredown with Gerard Angelo. The two men circle one another and then both explode with punches!
Jerry Andrews: Folks, this will be our LAST commercial break of the evening! Weāll be back in less than a minute!
When Trauma returns, Angelo has Monroe in the corner. He stomps him down to the mat as Holden Ross cheers on. Angelo takes a few steps back to catch his breath.
Ace Anderson: This match has been on for a long time and these two have been battling it out the whole way. Fatigue has to be setting in here. Its gut check time for sure!
Monroe rushes Angelo out of the corner. Dodging Monroe's clothesline, Angelo superkicks Monroe in the back. Monroe flops onto the ropes. Angelo follows and dives into his back. Soules ends up slamming his throat into the ropes from the impact. As Monroe gets to his feet, with his hands across his throat, Angelo grabs him and tries to throw him out. Monroe strikes him in the stomach.
Angelo quickly fights back, taking his opponent down. He then climbs back on top of Monroe and begins to place punch after punch into Monroe' head. Monroe attempts to block the attack, but his defense is only partially successful.
Holden Ross: Yeah! Get him!
Angelo gets to his feet and back away. Monroe slowly gets to his feet as Angelo waits. But as Monroe stabilizes himself, Angelo rushes at himā¦.
Jerry Andrews: Directorās Cut! What a move from Angelo!
Angelo pulls Monroe up and slugs him hard. Despite getting the wind knocked out of him, Monroe uses the turnbuckles for leverage. As Gerard approaches, Monroe grips his arms under Angelo, flips him up and drills him with a single shoulder powerbomb into a European uppercut!
Ace Anderson: Hangmanās Noose!!!
Upon impact, Monroe leans back against the turnbuckles, still gasping for air.
Jerry Andrews: What a counter by Monroe
Ace Anderson: That's just instinct right there. Monroe may have used his last breath of energy on that move!
Monroe is unable to capitalize on the move right away. Slowly he makes his way toward Angelo, who hasnāt moved yet. Monroe pulls him upā¦.
Jerry Andrews: One Hit Wonder!!!
Holden Ross: Yeah!
The move drops Monroe immediately, but Angelo falls to the mat as well. Both men are down. The PCW Faithful begins to rise to their feet, celebrating the contest they are witnessing.
