With Rick Majors left to have his moment in the ring as the new Underground champion, a sore and dejected Jason Willard passes through the curtain on his way to the backstage area. Somebody had the bright idea to dispatch Shane Dodge to do a quick interview, which leads to this exchange.
"Jason! Jason! If you have a moment, would you mind telling the faithful and everyone at home how you are feeling after a tough loss?"
Willard stops on a dime, but doesn't make immediate eye contact. He gathers his thoughts before speaking.
"How do I feel? I don't know, Shane. I really don't know."
He lets out a deep sigh. "How do you feel?" Finally, eye contact is made.
"Don't answer that. Today was Mommy's Day. I lost a championship on her day, Shane. Even worse, I lost playing dress-up with a persona that..."
Armed with that thought, Willard's solemn mood suddenly begins to simmer.
"HE did this to me! I let him and I let him get inside my head to the point that I lost my championship!" Willard by this point has a startled Shane Dodge by the collar. "Mommy says that when we are wronged, we must make it right!"
He looks off to the distance.
"I lost with my own child being unable to help, because of him!" His tone changes. "We're all somebody's child, Shane. Mommy is going to hear of this and when she does?"
Willard finally releases Shane and out of guilt, he flattens his collar back out. "You have a good night, ok? You're doing a wonderful job."
Willard seems to have extra pep as he leaves the bewildered interviewer alone.
