Pure Class Wrestling Presents: PCW Trauma 288: Summer BBQ
Sunday June 13th, 2021
The show begins with a look at the parking lot of the Pure Class Arena. Tall metal bleachers and a big screen have been set up for tonight's event. The crowd is on their feet, awaiting the annual summer barbecue! Around ringside there are several tables set up, each covered with checkered table cloths. There are also a few barbecues and coolers around as well.
Jerry Andrews: Welcome to the Trauma Summer Barbecue! I'm Jerry Andrews alongside Ace Anderson and we are ready for a huge night!
Ace Anderson: We have no time to talk! The competitors for our tag team barbecue bash are already in the ring!

Tag Team Barbecue Bash
Grimm (PCW World ©) & Rick Majors (PCW Genesis ©) vs "Mr. Showtime " Michael Wryght & Gerard Angelo
Referee: Ed Lane
Ace Anderson: Well, if trying to run someone over with a car doesn’t make your relationship stronger….
The bell rings and the match begins.
Jerry Andrews: The way this match works is it’s no count out, no disqualification. But also no tags. All four men can fight at once. However, pinfalls or submissions MUST happen in the ring!
Ace Anderson: Also, there’s all this barbecue stuff out here! Can you get me a cheeseburger?
Jerry Andrews: You’ve already had three.
Ace Anderson: Oh… excuuuussssseeee me! This is a party and I thought this was AMERICA!
Suddenly Gerard Angelo and Rick Majors are at it, unloading on one another with rights and lefts. Angelo gets the upper hand and he grabs Majors by the hair and throws him through the ropes to the outside! He then follows him out there. Majors swings at him, but Angelo ducks it, scoops Majors up, and slams him right through one of the folding tables at ringside!
Jerry Andrews: My God! This got violent FAST!
Majors pulls himself up using the barrier, but Angelo slugs him from behind and throws him over the railing and into the crowd. Meanwhile, inside the ring, Grimm and Mr. Showtime are going at it.
Jerry Andrews: While Angelo and Majors are already trying to destroy one another, I would expect something a little different from Showtime and Grimm. They’ve had a long history of being on the same side.
Ace Anderson: Sure, but Showtime is the next challenger for the World Title that Grimm holds. He’s going to want to make an impression here.
In the crowd, Angelo grabs a chair and swings it, but Majors dodges and tackles him to the floor. He then picks up the chair and drives in into Gerard’s stomach. Angelo crawls away, but Majors cracks the chair on his back. He then pulls him up, but Angelo shoves him away and….
Jerry Andrews: Boom!
Ace Anderson: ONE HIT WONDER!
Majors falls to the floor with a thud. Angelo staggers backwards to catch his breath. Inside the ring, Grimm Irish whips Showtime into the corner. He runs in with a clothesline, but Wryght gets his feet up and kicks the World Champion right in the face. Showtime then elbows Grimm in the face, sending him reeling. Still holding onto Grimm’s arm, Showtime elbows him in the head again.
Ace Anderson: Showtime being quite aggressive right now! See what I mean, Jerry?
Showtime then wrenches Grimm’s arm. He then drives a forearm into Grimm’s elbow. Grimm falls to the mat. Showtime kicks Grimm in the ribs. He then pulls him up from the mat. Showtime Irish whips Grimm across the ring. Grimm hits the turnbuckle. Michael Wryght charges at him, but Grimm ducks out of the way and Showtime hits the turnbuckle hard. Showtime stumbles out of the corner, and Grimm hits him with a dropkick to the back of the head. Showtime falls to the mat, near the ropes.
Meanwhile, in the crowd Angelo and Majors continue to brawl. They’ve now gone through the crowd and are at the back of the metal bleachers that have been set up for the show. Angelo grabs Majors’ head and slams him head-first into a metal support! He the throws him underneath the bleacher set up. Angelo head underneath as well!
Jerry Andrews: They’re literally underneath our crowd right now!
Ace Anderson: Get a camera under there!
Jerry Andrews: I’m being told our team is working on it, but it’s tough to get equipment into that space.
Ace Anderson: Yeah, that’s a good point. I tried taking a camera underneath the bleachers when I was in college and it…. I shouldn’t have mentioned that.
In the right, Grimm kicks Showtime in the ribs, and Michael Wryght rolls to the outside. As Showtime starts to stand up Grimm runs off of the opposing ropes towards Showtime. He then leaps through with a suicide dive!!
Ace Anderson: Wow!
Jerry Andrews: What a move!
Grimm grabs Showtime and he rolls him back into the ring, following behind. He pulls him up, but Wryght fires back at him, unloading with lefts and rights. Grimm stops the assault with a big knee to the stomach. He then grabs him and sets him up from a DDT, but Showtime counters into a Northern Lights Suplex, bridging out for a pin:
1...
2...
Jerry Andrews: Grimm kicks out!
The champion rolls over to the ropes. Wryght goes after him and pulls him up before lifting him for a back suplex. Grimm crashes to the mat on his neck and flips over to his stomach.
Jerry Andrews: Grimm’s just took the brunt of that impact on his neck!
Ace Anderson: See? I told you Showtime wants to leave an impression!
Wryght slides over and rolls him over for the cover. 1..2...Grimm kicks out at the very last second. Wryght stands Grimm up and sets him for a pile driver, but Grimm plants his feet and backdrops Showtime to the mat. He then stands him up and gives Wryght a gut wrench suplex to the mat, before heading over to the turnbuckle.
Jerry Andrews: The Champion is back in control, ascending to the top rope.
Ace Anderson: He’s going a bit out of his usual moveset tonight, but I guess when two people know one another as well as these guys do, you have to switch things up a bit!
He climbs to the top and comes off hitting a big flying elbow drop right on Showtime’s chest. Grimm with a cover:
1...
2...
Jerry Andrews: No! Wryght shoots a shoulder up!
Grimm stands up and takes a moment to assess the situation. Showtime sneaks up behind Grimm and rolls him up. 1...2... Grimm kicks out.
Jerry Andrews: He almost had him there!
Showtime dropkicks Grimm as he stands up sending Grimm into the corner. Wryght runs in and drives his shoulder into the champion’s midsection.
Jerry Andrews: Folks, we need to take a break but we’ll keep our cameras on this action the entire time!
Ace Anderson: I’ll personally give you a detailed recap when we return.
Trauma returns with Grimm and Showtime slugging it out in the ring.
Ace Anderson: Well folks, this has been a back-and-forth contest through the break and…
Jerry Andrews: Wait a second! Majors and Angelo are coming back through the crowd!
Majors staggers through the Faithful with Angelo right behind him. Gerard is holding a metal trash can that he cracks right into Majors’ spine, sending him down to the floor. He then grabs the Genesis Champion and drags him back to the ringside area, throwing him over the railing and onto another table!
Meanwhile, Grimm gets the upper hand and he tosses Showtime through the ropes to the outside on the opposite side of the ring. He follows him out.
Angelo approaches Majors on the table… but Rick Majors grabs a bottle of mustard and squirts him in the eyes with it!
Jerry Andrews: Mustard in the eye! Mustard in the eye!
On the other side of the ring, Grimm grabs Showtime, but Michael Wryght elbows him in the stomach the grabs him by the head and slams him face-first into a barbecue at ringside!
Ace Anderson: Grimm’s face his collided with that metal barbecue lid!
Showtime pulls him up, but Grimm slugs him in the stomach. He then lifts him up and takes him down with a big spinebuster! On the other side, Majors grabs Angelo, but Gerard fires back, slugging him right in the face. He then picks up a cooler and charges at him, hitting Majors' right in the face with it! Angelo continues his assault as he slams Majors’ face into the table, grabs him and hits the Director’s Cut right through the table!
Jerry Andrews: MY GOD!
Angelo the pulls Majors up from the wreckage and sets him up on yet another table at ringside. He then looks up at the metal supports that are holding the ring lighting…. and he starts to climb!
Jerry Andrews: No! No way!
Ace Anderson: Gerry, don’t do this!
Angelo is about six feet up when Grimm grabs his leg. Angelo tries to shake himself free, and then starts to climb higher! Grimm starts to climb up as well! Angelo climbs higher!
Jerry Andrews: Gerard Angelo has to be at least ten or twelve feet up now!
Ace Anderson: And Grimm is right behind him!
Showtime is there now… and he reaches up to grab Grimm’s leg! Angelo climbs higher to avoid Grimm and Grimm climbs higher to avoid Showtime who is trying to pull him down and…. Gerard Angelo jumps off!
Jerry Andrews: NO! He’s got to be at least 15 feet up! No!
Gerard Angelo crashes through Rick Majors and the table as the crowd explodes!
Ace Anderson: OH MY GOD!
Several referees rush out from the back to check on the two men, but Grimm is still struggling with Showtime on the metal support! He is trying to get loose, but Showtime is still trying to pull him down…
Jerry Andrews: Wait wait wait…. they’re shaking that support now…. this cannot be good and….
BOOM!!!
There’s a spark and a flash and a gasp and a giant piece of the set light falls from above the ring, crashing through the canvas!
Ace Anderson: Is everyone okay!? Is anyone hurt!?
The damaged lighting catches on fire and soon the ring is engulfed in flames. Showtime quickly leaves the area at the request of PCW staff. Grimm climbs down and he does the same. EMTs are now out for Majors and Angelo, but suddenly fire department members are out as well. They aim extinguishers at the ring, putting on the flames after a few moments.
Jerry Andrews: Oh my God folks, it looks like the situation is now under control, but that was absolutely terrifying. We’re very sorry, but there’s no way this match can continue. As you can see, there has been significant damage done to the ring and we have medical personnel out here for Gerard Angelo and Rick Majors.
Ace Anderson: I’m just glad that the falling lighting and the fire didn’t hurt anyone. My God.
Jerry Andrews: Well, we did promise a fireworks display and it looks like that may still happen, but unfortunately that will only be seen by the live crowd as we are out of time.
Ace Anderson: I’ve had more than enough fireworks for one night, to be honest.
Jerry Andrews: From everyone here at PCW, thank you for joining us, and good night.
