Greatness is not born. Greatness is created by the will of the man who knows he can make it happen. Only those who truly believe that they are great, can become great. You must mould yourself into a machine, set aside everything that does not bring you closer to your common goal. Not many can handle the sacrifice that it takes, it takes strength beyond belief to set your entire life on the shelf, so you can reach the next level. Ace Anderson had to put everything he had ever known to become Greatness in the Flesh, a man who knows fear, but does not succumb to it. A man who is bravest in times of danger, a man who will never let himself be second best. Throughout the course of life, some things happen because you feel that they must. That is the case for Ace Anderson, he knew he had to reach the next plateau if he was to move up in this business, so that is what he did, and since then, he has been unstoppable.
- The scene opens as the camera pans around a den with a fake fireplace against a wall, and a big red recliner sitting in front of the fireplace. The fireplace is burning, although fake, it is giving off a good amount of warmth. There is a scent of cappucino in the air, and in the recliner, a head of a man can be seen. His hair is in cornrows, and his figure is massive. He spins around in the chair, and the camera is directed right into the face of Ace Anderson. In his hands, he is holding a hardcover book. The room is dark, except for the light emitting from the fireplace, so what the book says cannot be made out, Ace's face can hardly be taken from the dark, yet you know it is him because of the basic features. He smiles, places the book in his lap, and brings his fingers to touch the tips of each other in front of his face. -
Ace: Welcome, won't you come and join Greatness? He has a story to read to you. This isn't just any ordinary story, oh no, this is a story...of greatness. So, come around to the other side of the chair, sit down by the fire, and just listen, listen to Mister Anderson speak, for he has a tale to tell you. He doesn't even care if you don't wanna listen, you're either going to change the channel, or keep watching. If you plan on changing the channel, do it now, because if you don't, you'll become too captivated to change it. This story, is THE story of Greatness, the story of Ace Anderson. He likes to call it "Born of Passion, Fueled by Greatness"
- The cameraman moves around and positions himseelf facing Ace Anderson, slightly to his right. Ace has now pivoted around, and is facing the fire once more. We can now see that the book is still in his lap, he is wearing a t-shirt and shorts, and a nice pair of slippers. He picks the book up from his lap, and he opens it. The book can now be read, and it says "Born of Passion, Fueled by Greatness" and then at the bottom it said "The Ace Anderson Story". On the back it has various pictures of Ace executing different moves to various opponents, including LoKi, Rhodes McClure and Sean Hunter. He flips through the pages slowly, until he stops at about the third or fourth page. -
Ace: Chapter 1, Before He Was Pro
June 17th, 1976. The day of birth for the great man known as Ace Anderson. Born Jason MacDonald, to parents Jason Sr. and Shirley, at a local hospital in West Newbury. The first few years of his childhood were uneventful, until he moved to Boston at the age of 3. The change from West Newbury to Boston was incredible, but Jason didn't know the difference. He was 3 years old. By age 6, he was beginning to become bigger than average. He went through primary school, constantly growing. By the seventh grade, he was the biggest kid in his class. He was the tallest, at about six feet, but he was also the fattest. He weighed over 200 pounds in the seventh grade. During this time, he began watching wrestling, yet he never really thought about doing it as a profession. He never really though about anything. Middle school was horrible for him, with people making fun of him constantly. Once he got to high school, he decided he was going to do something about it. He started going to the gym. By this time he was an incredibly huge guy. Six foot four, 300 pounds. He went to the gym regularly for about a year, expecting to lose weight. He didn't, instead he gained muscle. He was built for weight lifting, and by the end of high school, when he was about 18 years old, he was six foot six and weighed about 295 pounds. He could bench his own body weight, 3 sets of 10 repitions.
One night while he was working out in a gym in Boston, the World Series of Poker came on tv. He made an instant connection, and fell in love with the cards. He started going out to play poker before and after he worked out, and his entire life revolved around poker and working out. From playing poker so much, he developed a skill for reading people. He knew what they were holding, he saw into their psyche. Knew what they were going to do next. He had always loved wrestling, and his friend joked around about him using skills that he had picked up at the poker table in the wrestling ring. This was when Jason realized he was built to wrestle. He had the brain to wrestle, and most of all, he had always had a passion for the sport. This was his big break, this is what he was destined to do.
- Ace closes the book momentarily, but keeps his hand at the page that he was on. He takes a deep breath, and resumes reading, seemingly where he left off. -
Ace: The first thing he had to do, was create a persona. He needed something that worked for him. Ace Anderson was the first thing he liked, so that is what he went with. He attended the Hearts School of Wrestling for about three years, and learned as much as he could about technical wrestling. The rest was up to him. He learned his own style, which was a brawler/free flowing style combined with suplexes and submission holds. He polished his skills, and after he graduated he instantly became a teacher, hoping to learn anything he possibly could, and that guaranteed that he would always have someone to wrestle. Among the students coming in, was Benjamin Banks. Ace and Benjamin got to know each other well. They wrestled each other often, and then, started talking about going pro together, as a tag team. Benjamin made it into Pure Class Wrestling, and Ace was soon to follow.
- Ace looks up from the book once more, smirks, and reads the heading on the page. -
Ace : Chapter 2, Early Signs of Greatness
Ace Anderson broke into the PCW in a match against The Painted Assassin, one half of the PCW Tag Team champions. Ace came firing out of the gate, really giving it to the favorite, yet a few minutes in, another tag team in PCW came down to the ring and assaulted Ace by slamming him face first into the ring post, so he won by disqualification. Tony Brass and Sexay Jay, Ace's assailants, then began to attack The Painted Assassin. They cooly left, as Ace was on the ground in pain, and The Painted Assassin was being attended to in the ring.
The following week, Ace found himself in a 4 way elimination match against the other half of the Tag Team champions, and the tag team of Sexay Jay and Tony Brass. Ace managed to battle through the match, and managed to pull off the win after Sexay Jay wouldn't help his partner after his partner eliminated him from the match. Ace went to leave the ring, and before he could, Jay and Brass tried to rush him. Benjamin Banks quickly came down to the ring and aided Ace.
Ace soon found himself at the Pay-Per-Vew, entitled Return to Glory, with Benjamin as his partner in a triple threat tag team match for the championships against The Painted Assassin and Josh MacKlayn, and Tony Brass and Sexay Jay. Ace and Benjamin managed to go into that match the underdogs, and emerge as the champions. Benjamin hit Sexay Jay with his finisher, and got the three count. Was this the beginning of Ace's dominant reign in Pure Class Wrestling? Not just yet.
Unfortunately for Ace, Benjamin injured his spine at Return to Glory, and is now unable to wrestle again, ever. He was the sole holder of the Tag Team championships, and was pitted in a 2 on 3 tag team match at the 13th edition of Trauma, with LoKi as his partner, facing Jay Summers, Sean Hunter, and Crazy Boy. The match ended with Sean Hunter going to hit Ace in the head with Ace's belt, and the referee catching him. He then disqualified Hunter, and a brawl was about to break loose. "The Captain" Alejandro Walker then came down to the ring, and named Sean Hunter the other holder of Ace's Tag Team titles. Ace and Hunter instantly hated each other, although Ace wanted to get along with him, for the sake of keeping Ben's dream alive.
From this point, Ace Anderson and Sean Hunter went into each week, wrestling as a tag team, never really being able to get along, and developing a bit of a feud, even though they were partners. They defended their titles, even though they didn't like each other, and didn't work together, but managed to retain them. During the 16th edition of Trauma, Ace Anderson and Sean Hunter were put into a non-title match against Jake Sydal and Pegasus. Jake pins Ace, and Ace loses his first match in Pure Class Wrestling, after getting nailed in the head with the North American Title.
The following week, Ace Anderson gets put in a match against "The Colossus" Rhodes McClure. Ace gets cocky, and ends up losing this match, his second in a row. Ace delivers a guarantee to McClure that McClure won't win at Deception, when he faces Ace once more. At Deception, Ace follows through on his promise, and Sean Hunter and Ace Anderson win after Ace wrestled the entire match by himself.
At the 18th edition of Trauma, Ace and Sean's title reign came to an end, as they lost the belts to The Prophet and Pegasus, when Ace left Sean to fend for himself after Sean refused to tag Ace in. At this point, Ace decided he was now going to focus on the Icemann Invitational Tournament, for the winner received a shot at any title of their choosing.
- Ace stops reading once more, and smirks even more than ever now. He looks back to his page, and goes to read, but stops. He chuckles a bit, and then begins to read once more. -
Ace: Chapter 3, The Road to the Finals, and A Step Into Greatness
Ace Anderson began the tournament with a qualifying match against one of his biggest rivals, Rhodes McCure. They had a history, with both men winning a match each. This was the rubber match, and the one that mattered most. Ace managed to win the very close match against Rhodes, prove he was better once and for all, and move on to face his greatest nemesis to date, his former tag team partner, Sean Hunter.
This shaped up to be one of the biggest feuds in PCW history. Sean Hunter and Ace had hatred for each other beyond belief. There was a ton of tension leading up to this match. After a little help from Landon Divine, Ace Anderson managed to walk away with the victory, proving Sean Hunter that Ace Anderson could cut him down in his prime. After Ace defeated Sean, he turned into one of the most charismatic men PCW has ever seen. Ace Anderson became what he was always destined to be, what would fuel him to excel beyond his own limits, beyond anyones limits, Ace's passion created this, and only his Greatness can keep it alive. Ace Anderson became...Greatness. Greatness in the Flesh.
Jorge "The Truth" Garcia, the 21 time World Heavyweight champion, became the first to face the wrath of Greatness. Ace defeated Garcia like it was nothing, defeating "The Truth" with a basic roll-up. After that, he moved on to face LoKi in the finals of the Icemann Invitational at Living a Legacy, with a chance to win the title shot and the North American championship to boot. But before that, Greatness had another test in front of him.
Ace would have to tag with LoKi against the new Tag Team champions, Gaz Black and Javi Tovioli. Ace and LoKi made short work of that laughing stock, and then they exchanged blows after the match. Ace got knocked over the ropes, but instead of returning to decimate LoKi, he decided that he would wait until Living a Legacy to defeat him, when it really mattered. The rest...that is left to be told, for the future is all that remains, and not even Greatness himself can see into the future.
- Ace sets the book down onto the arm of his recliner, and he begins to speak once more, though this time he isn't reading anything. -
Ace: So LoKi, now you know the story, as well as all of those dirty mammals out there, they know the story of Ace Anderson, they know he wasn't always great, but he created the Greatness in himself, because he can handle what it takes. He gave up his life, to be where he is now. He no longer knows anything but winning, and it was all worth it. So when Living a Legacy comes, LoKi you will be just another page in the book of Greatness, just another story on the page, your North American title and the Icemann Invitational trophy, all spoils of victory. You must know about spoils of victory. You've been in wars in that ring, and so has Ace Anderson, yet this will be his greatest accomplishment yet, that is of course until he wins the World Heavyweight championship and becomes the most sought after man in Pure Class Wrestling, as if he isn't already.
Recently Ace Anderson has been wondering, where have you been LoKi? If Ace Anderson was in your position, he might be scared of Greatness too, yet he isn't, so he has no reason to be afraid. Ace Anderson knows that you are not a pushover LoKi, but, you may have heard this quote before; "The bravest are surely those who have the clearest vision of what is before them, glory and danger alike, and yet notwithstanding, go out to meet it." That is a quote from Thucydides, it doesn't matter who he is, he wasn't as great as Ace Anderson. Now, Ace Anderson agrees with Thucydides. He agrees entirely. Ace Anderson knows what is ahead of him.
Glory. There is no greater glory, than being able to hold a PCW championship around your waist, or on your shoulder, whichever you prefer, Ace Anderson prefers shoulder really. He doesn't need to use the belt to hold up his pants. The prize money, Ace Anderson isn't thinking about that, he might start his own charity, call it the "Greatness Foundation". The Greatness Foundation will seek out all of those who are unfortunate, and kill them so they no longer have to suffer. They can start in New York and work their way through the Middle East. Ace Anderson can only wonder how many scum bags a hundred thousands dubloons can decimate. Only time will tell. The trophy, to prove that he won the tournament, that he was the best PCW had to offer. Of course, he could never forget, the shot to win the World Heavyweight championship, THE prize in wrestling. Greatness shall hold that piece of hardware very soon.
Danger. Of course there is danger, Ace Anderson is aware of this, yet he is not scared. Why would he be afraid? His flesh reeks of Greatness, the sweetest smell known to man. He hands, they ooze of prowess, so he is prepared for any danger that lay ahead, may it be LoKi, may it be Slither, Sean Hunter, Pegasus, or in an unlikely event The Rocket. Whoever challenges Greatness, will soon fall at his feet. Ace Anderson is going to venture into the ring come Living a Legacy, turn the Angel of Death into the Example of Death at the Hands of Greatness, and take all of the aforementioned glory. There is only room for one at the top, and the one at the top is the greatest. Ace Anderson knows that he is the greatest, and that is why it is only a matter of time before he is standing atop that mountain, holding a championship on each shoulder, raining down fire with LoKi's own flaming sword, killing all of the scum bags that step foot into Pure Class Arena. To all of you, all of you too pathetic to stand in the presence of Greatness, those of you who must kneel down when he walks past, those..have been the words. The words of GREATNESS...in the Flesh.
- Ace Anderson stands up from his chair, and he walks out of view of the camera. When he stands up, his book flies off of the arm of the chair and lands open on the floor. The pages in the book are blank. The cameraman moves in closer, and picks up the book. He flips through all of the pages, and they are all blank. There is nothing on any page except for the first. It is scrawled in hand writing, and is difficult to read. The cameraman looks at it for a second, and then finally reads it out loud. "The Legacy of Greatness has Only Begun." When he finishes the sentence, the light from the fireplace goes out, the scene is left in darkness. You hear the sound of the book falling to the floor, and then the feed cuts to snow. -
- The scene opens as the camera pans around a den with a fake fireplace against a wall, and a big red recliner sitting in front of the fireplace.
