Dear Readers,
I've never done something of this sort before, so bear with me if you would. You may know me as PCW wrestler, The Prophet. As I'm sure that you readers of this magazine (PCW Weekly! Cheap plug I know, but still...) are avid wrestling fans and supporters of the PCW, you know well who I am. I was asked to do this months ago, and yet for some reason, it's been on the top of my 'To-Do' pile for the longest time. One would imagine that I, as opinionated as I am, would have SOMETHING to say. Well, the truth is, over the past few weeks...all I've needed to say has been said, whether it be over PCW airwaves or better still, through my actions. Actions do speak louder than words.
...In some cases.
In this case, words will speak just as loudly as actions. Plus, not only is it a fresh new way to offer my insights...it doesn't add ten pounds like the camera does. Anywhos, back to the topic at hand. For the past two months, this one-shot column has sat patiently on the top of my list of Things To Do. But now, I think I'm ready to tackle it...because I have something to say. AGAIN.
As I'm writing this now, it is a little under a week before Living a Legacy, the PCW's next pay-per-view. It is there that yours truly will be doing battle with Angelica Night-Hunter and her...what would you call her? Little friend? Sister in Shame? I don't know. I'm not even going to try. Whisper. The two of them hope to come out with a victory, but sadly...that may not be the case anymore. On the last televised edition of Trauma (Trauma[23]. If you didn't see it, SHAME ON YOU!), I revealed to the management of PCW that I had uncovered some startling information that led to Angelica Night and Whisper being escorted from the building. That is a bare bones recap of my part in it all.
The question posed here, or rather, why I'm writing this article is this: Since then, I have been asked over...and over...and over...AND OVER....'What do you know?'. 'Why are you doing this?'. See, the reason I'm doing this and what I'm doing are the same thing. I am revealing the TRUTH. The truth is a powerful concept, the truth NEEDS to be told. Since no one else in the PCW has the, pardon my French, BALLS to tell the truth, I feel it is my job...nay, MY DUTY to the fans, to tell the truth. After all, you the readers, you the fans deserve to know. Don't you? I'm fighting for YOU.
No one else will fight for you, the readers. The fans. The people that pay to sit their butts in those seats week in and week out to watch what we have to offer them. There's no need for lies on such a personal level. You pay us to entertain you, we oblige. Enough said. It's an understood contract that if anyone on the PCW roster says is fake, then you know they're not worth their salt. We're there to keep you coming to our shows. Otherwise, we would be nothing. So why should you feel, when you pay your $29.95 or whatever our PPV's cost...when you buy your tickets, that you can be lied to and deceived? I don't feel that way, and I'm probably about the only one that feels like that.
Angelica Night and Whisper, they have both been lying to you. They've been hiding deep, dark secrets that not only affect them personally, but in an odd way...they affect you too. And so, at Living a Legacy, I've decided to tell the WORLD what I've found out. Not only for my sake, not only for Angelica Night and Whisper's sakes....but for yours. After all, it's the least I can do. You pay my salary. I have to give back SOMEHOW.
Yours Truly,
Marcus "The Prophet" Murdoc
