Live on E! from the Pure Class Arena in Greenville, South Carolina
In the Beginning
Details: The camera pans around the Pure Class Arena as "Chop Suey" by System of a Down blares through the P.A. System. As we see the many fan signs sprinkled throughout the crow, we are surprised when ...
A few Words from Slither
Details:
(...the arena becomes engulfed in red light and "Chop Seuy" fades out and, "The End of Heartache" by Killswitch Engage begins to play. Slither appears in the entranceway with his head down. After a few seconds, he stands in the center of the entranceway and then raises his arms straight out to the side. The fans cheer with a huge pop as Slither begins his descent down the entrance ramp. When Slither makes it to the ring, he makes his way up the steps and climbs through the ropes. He makes his way to the closest corner and climbs up to the second rope. After a short time there, he moves to the adjacent corner on the far end and does a similar routine.)
Mark Long: Please welcome...the former PCW World Champion...SLITHER!
(The crowd erupts in cheers again, just at the mere mention of Slither's name. He, being Slither, now walks over to where Mark Long is standing and snatches the mic out of his hand.)
Jerry Andrews: Looks like Slither has something to say. He hasn't spoken a word since Deception.
Michael Hunt: I was hoping he would never speak again, but he probably just wants to cry about losing the World Title to Pegasus at Deception.
(Mark Long takes this time to scurry from the ring, and Slither stands in the middle of it with his head tilted down to the left. He takes a second, and then looks out towards the crowd. He raises the microphone to his lips, but drops it back down again once the fans cheer so loud it'd be impossible to speak.)
Mike Hunt: Is he going to say something or just stand there looking stupid.
(The crowd starts a faint, but very audible, "SLITHER! SLITHER!" chant, and Slither uses this as his cue to speak.)
Slither: Thank you!
(The fans go nuts.)
Slither: I'm sure all you guys know what has been going on lately, so I won't waste your time explaining it. I only have two things to say. Slither: The first thing I have to say has to do with Pegasus and my PCW World Championship.
Mike Hunt: I told you he was just coming out here to cry about getting beat.
Slither: I am here to challenge you to a rematch, but not any regular match I want it to be a steal cage match. So no one can get in and you cant get out. I'm ready anytime you are we can do it next week the next PPV or hell why not after our matches here tonight.
(The crowd really likes the idea of a cage match tonight and blows the top off the roof with cheers.)
Slither: You can walk around with the belt all you want but these people all know whose belt that really is. The second thing I want to comment on...well, this guy use to be a friend of mine...the next thing I want to say is going to be directed towards The Rocket.
(Fans boo at the mention of The Rocket's name.)
Slither: Rocky...I am going to end your career. Even if it costs me mine! What you did at Deception...the way you turned your back on me...I'll never forget it. And I'll make sure you never forget it either!
(Slither walks around the ring, and pauses as the fans erupt with cheers.)
Jerry Andrews: Strong words there from Slither
Mike Hunt: Yea right! The Rocket well crush him.
Slither: So what I'm going to do, is pull up a chair, sit at ringside, and wait 'til your ass comes out here...and then I'm going to whoop it!
(And with that, Slither drops the mic, heads out of the ring, and pulls a metal fold out chair to watch the first match of the evening, which just happens to be a 6 Person Battle Royal which features the very man that betrayed him at Deception- THE ROCKET!)
Match One: Six-Person Over-the-Top Rope Battle Royal
The Rocket vs. "The Colossus" Rhodes McClure vs. Angel vs. Chrissy Johnson vs. Omega vs. Overdose
Referee: Roberto Garcia
Match Details: This match marks the return of The Rocket to the PCW and it also marks one of the newest PCW Superstar's debut in Omega. Mark Long introduced the competitors in this order: Overdose, Chrissy Johnson, Angel, Omega, Rhodes McClure, and then The Rocket. But the thing about it, everyone made their way into the ring, with exception of The Rocket. When he was announced, and his music kicked in, The Rocket was nowhere to be found. Slither's face explained his thoughts- The Rocket was scared to come to the ring while he sat there. But that didn't take way from the match that was booked. No, once The Rocket didn't show, Referee Roberto Garcia signaled for the bell, and the match kicked off with the five competitors in the ring. The match was that of your topical Battle Royal, as alliances that were made to try and eliminate others were made and broken within a few instances. Overdose was the first to go, as Rhodes McClure made quick work of his tag partner for Deception. With the four remaining Superstars in the ring, it broke off into Angel and Chrissy and Omega and Rhodes. Within five minutes of the matches start, Chrissy and Angel eliminated eachother as when Angel was being tossed over, he grabbed Chrissy's hair, and they both were sent flying over the top rope. This left the ring with only Omega and Rhodes McClure. The two battled valiantly for the next six minutes, but it was Omega, with a perfectly executed Superkick to the jaw of Rhodes Mcclure that sent the second generation Superstar flying over the top rope, that picked up the win in a very impressive debut.
Winner
After the match...
Details: After the match, while Omega was getting his hand raised for the win, Slither, who had a pissed off, but not shocked, expression on his face, picked up a mic from off the announcers' table, raised the microphone to his lips, and spouted off that if The Rocket, who the fans were told was indeed in the building because he was spotted in the back, didn't want to come out here to meet him face to face, then he'd go back searching for him. Slither then dropped the mic and headed to the back.
Hell bound for Hellhound [Hype Video]
Details: The P.C. Arena goes completely black, and then the PCW-Tron kicks on. On it, a few flashes of lightning can be seen, and then the words, "No rest for the wicked" drip onto the screen in bloody red letters. A few more flashes of lightning, which is then followed by a few black and white images, of dead animals, glimpses of soldiers battered and bruised, and grave sits, plaster the screen. Suddenly, a face...the face of Hellhound...flashes, and stays onto the screen, as a loud, agonizing screech of a female's voice can be heard. The screen then fades to nothingness, until the letters, "H-E-L-L-H-O-U-N-D" drip onto the screen in those same, blood-red letters.
Match Two: Icemann Invitational Qualifying Match
Jake Sydal vs. Mizter Hardcore
Referee: Travis Wilson
Match Details: The second match of the even was the first match of The Icemann Invitational Tournament, and it pitted returning PCW Superstar Mizter Hardcore against Jake Sydal, who, at Deception, lost in a hellacious Ladder Match against LoKi. Jake came down the aisle, and his injuries were apparent, as he supported a shoulder wrap, a head bandage, and his ribs were tapped up. Hardcore came down to the ring with his ever present barb-wire Chair- the same chair he used to take out "Mr. Showtime" Mikey Wryght at Deception! The bell was sounded, and Hardcore immediately went on the offensive. He started the match quick short-arm clothesline, and followed that p by whipping Sydal into the turnbuckle with such impact, that the entire ring shook! Hardcore followed that up with a turnbuckle clothesline, that decimated the injury-ridden Jake Sydal. Hardcore then lifts and grabs Sydal, and sits him onto the top turnbuckle pad. Hardcore then climbs up to the second rope, and leaps off, with an intense Stunner; a modification of Mizter Hardcore's "Hardcore Stunner" finisher. Hardcore pins the battered Jake Sydal at the 6 minute and 11 second mark, and three pounds of the mat later, Hardcore picks up his first PCW win since his return, and advances to the Quarter Finals of the Icemann Invitational.
Winner
The True Meaning of Hardcore
Details: Hardcore doesn't seem to be finished following the bell, and he begins laying the boots into Sydal some more. The fans, who were never ones to back Sydal, immediately boo Hardcore's actions. Hardcore, with a sadistic smile, pays no mind, and continues on with the beating. He pauses, and his eyes dart to the barb-wire chair that he brought, and left, at ringside. He rolls out of the ring, and grabs the chair. He then rolls back into the ring, and without hesitation, brings down his weapon of choice, and lays into Sydal with it. Each whack of the chair, seems to bring a bigger smile on Hardcore's face. You can clearly see blood is now beginning to pour out of the forehead of Sydal because his bandages are become stained with red. Hardcore doesn't stop his assault until referees and officials pour from the backstage area and forces him to leave the ring.
Slither's Search for The Rocket
Details: Nothing much to report here, other than Slither was in the backstage area searching and asking around for The Rocket.
Match Three: Icemann Invitational Qualifying Match; CWF World Championship Match
LoKi {CWF World Champion; PCW North American Champion} vs. "Mr. Showtime" Mikey Wryght
Referee: Eddie Lane
Match Details: The next match marked Mr. Showetime's return to the wrestling ring after a lengthy absence, and LoKi's first attempt to defend the CWF World Championship after winning it from Jake Sydal at Deception. The match started off normal, and equal, with neither man getting too much of the upperhand on the other. But when LoKi surprised Showtime with his Ragnarok maneuver at around the 6 minute mark, it clearly put the momentum in LoKi's favor. Showtime tried to come back at one point, and reversed a LoKi crossbody attempt into a high-impact backbreaker at the 9 minute and 58 second mark but he only got a two count for his efforts. When he tried to put LoKi into The Spotlight, which is a modified Texas Cloverleaf, LoKi reached up, and managed to get Mr. Showtime into a small package. But Mr. Showtime managed to JUST kick out at about 2 1/3 quarters. When both men got up onto their feet, Mr. Showtime, probably still a bit rusty from his absence from the ring, walked right into LoKi's Apocalypse Now finisher. LoKi quickly hooked the leg, and at 11 minutes and 3 seconds, LoKi retained the CWF World Championship, and secured a spot into the Quarter Finals of The Icemann Invitational Tournament.
Winner
Hardcore Strikes Again...or Does He?
Details: LoKi is rewarded his Championships, and spots Whisper sitting in the front row, and walks over to her and begins chatting. He then hops the barricade and the two walk through the crowd and then the camera loses them. But as Mikey Wryght is getting back up on his feet, Mizter Hardcore, barb-wire chair still in hand, comes running down the aisle and into the ring. He tries to blindside Mr. Showtime, but be it out of instinct or luck, Mikey just catches a glimpse of Hardcore winding up with the chair and dodges it. Hardcore stumbles a bit in front of him and drops the chair onto the mat. Mikey, taking this as his opportunity, grabs Hardcore from behind and hooks his head and arm (like a reverse DDT with the arm hooked) and then he turns to his left making his opponent stand with their head and right arm on his shoulder and violently drops to a sit position...RIGHT ON HARDCORE'S CHAIR! Mizter Hardcore's face gets mangled by the wire as it sticks to it. Mr. Showtime then violently rips the chair away from Hardcore's face. Blood immediately begins pouring from tiny holes on Hardcore's face where the barb-wire had stuck to him. The crowd cheers, and then Mr. Showtime throws the chair at Hardcore and leaves the ring. One thing is for certain, this one shall be interesting.
No Sign of Rocket
Details: Slither is still in the back, searching dressing rooms, and asking the staff if they have any clue on where, "that stupid son of a bitch Rocket" is at. None seem to know where he is at. At that moment, a backstage stage-hand came up to Slither and told him that he has to get to the ring, because his match was next. Slither apparently cursed out-loud, since the censors let out a BEEP! after words spouted from Slither's mouth. He then headed towards the direction of the ring.
Match Four: Non-Title Icemann Invitational Qualifying Match
Slither vs. Angelica Night-Hunter {International Champion}
Referee: Tyrone Little
Match Details: This match pitted former World Champion Slither against current International Champion Angelica-Night Hunter in their Qualifying Match as apart of The Icemann Invitational Tournament. Respect between the two is there, apparently, but there is something that both these individuals have in common- they were in one way or another, screwed by current World Champion Pegasus. The match started off with nothing too much of importance, as Angelica and Slither shared the momentum. A few head-scissors here by Angelica, a few hip-tosses and DDT's by Slither there. The crowd was definitely getting their money's worth, as the two Superstars went back and forth, back and forth. Angelica almost got the win at about the 7 minute mark when she nailed Slither with a viscous Angelic that knocked him off his feet. But for her troubles, she only got a two count out of it. For another 2-3 minutes, Slither went on the offensive, and after stopping Angelica from doing a top-rope move, Slither delivered a DDT off the ropes. He went for the pin, but just then, out of nowhere, The Rocket came down to ringside, and pulled Slither out of the ring. The referee immediately rang for the bell, and awarded Slither the match as a result of a disqualification.
Winner
But Slither Fights Back
Details: The Rocket laid heavy on the punches, but when he tried to whip Slither into the steel barricade, Slither reversed it and sent Rocky face first into the steel. He continued on with the assault right up until officials had to pour out of the back again, and separate Slither from The Rocket.
Open Challenge Accepted
Details: After a short commercial break, we were welcomed to see a new face, standing in the middle of the ring with a microphone in his hand. Some people may have known him from Golden Canvas Wrestling, but for those who didn't, his name was Non Compos Mentis. The jist of what he said was that he's looking to make an impact and by that, he offered an open challenge to anyone. That's when "The Captain's" music kicked in, and the PCW President stepped out onto the entrance ramp. He stated he seen NCM in GCG and had to admit he was good. So he decided to take him up on that open challenge. But it wasn't "The Captain" that NCM would be facing. No, no. Mr. Walker announced that he had word that Jake Sydal will not be able to compete in the Loser's Bracket in regard to The Icemann Invitational, so that he's going to give NCM a chance to get in the tournament. But in order for him to do that, he'd have to defeat two men also new to the PCW and missed the cutoff for tournament entry. Next week, in a Triple Threat Match, Non Compos Mentis will square off against Omega, and another GCG alum, Hellhound. The winner moves onto competing in The Icemann Invitational Tournament.
A Freed Mind
Details: The PCW-Tron cut on and it showed The Prophet and Pegasus in a dark room, lit only by candlelight. The PCW World Champion sat on what appeared to be a sofa and to his left, sitting in what seemed to be a throne of sorts sat The Prophet. Prophet looked at Pegasus, whose PCW World Championship glistened in the candlelight, and asked him a simple question.
"What do we do now Jonathan."[/b]
Pegasus' eyes became wide, and he spoke with a certain hunger.
"I want to be taught. Until I met you, I was looking at the World all wrong. Going about my mission all wrong. You made me see the light. I want you to guide me. I need your help for my spiritual journey."[/b]
"But you're a freed man Jonathan. You may go on your own now."
"But...I need you to help me. I want to listen to your word. I want to do what's right for Him. Please, continue to teach me."
"Your plea is convincing Jonathan. It really is. Tonight, I put you to the test. This match is more than titles. This match is personal conquest. And I'd know you'd love nothing more than to get your hands on the man that stole Angelica Night right from under you. Tonight...you take Sean Hunter out! And then I'd seek my revenge on Angelica."
"Understood. I WILL take Hunter out. And I WILL prove to you my worth."
And with a small nod, and an evil smile, The Prophet responded.
"Good".
And with that, the PCW-Tron cut off.
Match Five: Tag Team Championship Match
Pegasus {World Champion} & The Prophet vs. Sean Hunter & Ace Anderson {Tag Team Champions}
Referee: Richard Stevens
Match Details: Pegasus, fresh off his World Championship win at Deception, teams up with The Prophet, who had went through one of the greatest matches in PCW's history when he felt defeat to the hands of Angelica Night-Hunter in an Inferno Match. Not only did he lose the International Championship to Mrs. Hunter, but in the midst, he lost control over Pegasus. Or did he? Moments ago, we seen Pegasus yearning to be taught. Prophet's mind control tactics seemed to actually have worked. Even when Pegasus was given the option to go about his business, he still wanted The Prophet right there to help him. And Prophet gave strict instructions, take out Sean Hunter. Sean Hunter started the match off against The Prophet, and immediately got the upperhand on him. Sean rocked Prophet back and forth and then whipped him into his corner. Ace reached his hand out to tag, but Sean just looked at him awkwardly. Sean mounted the second rope, with Prophet still in the corner, and then started nailing him with punches. The fans counted out with Sean, but before he could reach ten, Prophet Powerbombed Hunter off the ropes. Prophet used this time to tag in Pegasus, and Pegasus went in and took care of Hunter. Pegasus and Prophet tagged in and out for a good portion of 6-8 minutes, basically decimating Hunter. But, when Pegasus went and tried to lift Sean into a Death Valley Driver, Sean slipped off, and when Pegasus turned around, Sean nailed him with the Shattered Dreams. At this point, Ace was the freshest man in the match, being the only one not actually having been put into action. Both men were down now, and both were crawling to their corners. Or so it seemed. Sean got to his side of the ring first, and Ace was dyeing to get into the ring, but Sean, instead of tagging Ace, slowly pulled himself up the ropes. Outraged, Ace hopped off the apron, and stormed to the back. This left Hunter to face both The Prophet and Pegasus alone. Pegasus managed to get the tag to Prophet and Prophet then made pretty much short work of Sean, who was clearly hurt from being doubled teamed basically the entire match. Prophet whips Sean into the corner and then slowly, almost methodically walks to the corner to meet Hunter. The Prophet then sets Hunter on the top turnbuckle and keeps him there with a few stiff jabs to the face. Climbing up the turnpost himself, The Prophet twists Hunter in a way to where he can hook his arms around Sean's waist Prophet then lift him into a standard backbreaker position. Suddenly, The Prophet drops from the second turnbuckle and brings Sean Hunter crashing down back first in a destructive backbreaker using the turnbuckle, and Sean now stays stretched on the turnbuckle for his finisher. Prophet just hit the Cloud Breaker. And, if anyone scouts Prophet's matches, they know what's next. The Dreams' End. The Prophet slides Hunter from the top turnbuckle onto his shoulders, facing up to the ceiling. Hooking one hand under Hunter's chin and the other over one of his legs, The Prophet walks out a step or two and then leans to one side, dropping to the side with a devastating reverse Death Valley Driver. Hunter seems to be dead. Prophet immediately tags in the World Champion and instructs Pegasus on what to do. Pegasus climbs the top rope and jumps down with a Leap of Faith. Prophet instructs Pegasus to do it again, and Peggy does just that, this time staying down for the pin. At the 23 minute and 14 second mark, Pegasus and The Prophet officially claim the PCW Tag Team Titles.
Winner
Angelica for the Save...
Details: Prophet and Pegasus begin dragging Sean Hunter around the ring, until they got him positioned right where they want him- with Sean's head hanging out the ring, very close to the steel turnbuckle post. Prophet tells Pegasus what to do, and Peggy, while Prophet is still holding Hunter, goes to the outside and unhinges the ring steps. He raises them high into the air, but before he slams the steps into Hunter's skull, Angelica Night-Hunter runs down the ramp and Prophet slides out the ring, and Peggy drops the steps on the outside. Angelica goes to check on her man, as Prophet and Pegasus circle their way back toward the entranceway, with their newly won Tag Titles, and Pegasus' World Title intact.
