Live on E! from the Pure Class Arena in Greenville, South Carolina
In the Beginning
Details: Trauma opens up with the usual pyrotechnics and the playing of System of a Down's, "Chop Suey." The cameras pan around the arena, highlighting numerous fans and their signs. But instead of going straight to our first match...
Backstage Brawl
Details: ...The scene switches to a view of Ace Anderson walking backstage. He is still wearing a cast on his arm, from the attack by Al Laiman at Deception. Ace goes to turn a corner, and he comes face to face with Al Laiman. Ace is just about an inch taller than Laiman. They are staring directly into each other’s eyes. After about two seconds, Laiman begins throwing right hands, Ace is backpedaling, but eventually he manages to block one, and crack Laiman with the cast on his right arm. After this, security runs in and breaks the two up, with about six men holding each back. Ace and Laiman are yelling at each other, but it cannot be heard over the commotion.
Match One: Fatal Four-Way Genesis Rules Match
Jade vs. The Byrd vs. "Mr. Showtime" Mikey Wryght vs. Ashley Marie
Referee: Roberto Garcia
Match Details: Match started off slow, but action picked up at around the 4 minute mark. The fans started a boring chant, which really got Mikey Wryght riled up. Mikey had been controlling the match throughout the contest, usually allowing the girls to compete against one another while he and Byrd exchanged offense and defense, but when he had to, he attacked the girls. Mikey had Perfection at ringside, who made tons of efforts in badmouthing the crowd and cheering for her man. But it was, however, at around the five minute mark when we were greeted with our finish. Byrd had been getting the upperhand on Mikey Wryght on the outside, while Jade had just put Ashley down with a spinning heel-kick. After Marie went down, Jade seen the action on the outside, bounced off of the ropes on the far-side, and then came running back, springboarding off the top rope, and doing a corkscrew to the men on the outside. She then grabbed Mikey Wryght, rolled him into the ring, whipped him into the ropes, and then hit her Jaded manuever on him. She hooked the legs and won the match at the 5 minute and 26 second mark.
Winner
Match Two: Icemann Invitational Tournament Elite Eight
Justin "Stormm" Michaels vs. Brad Moore
Referee: Tim Jones
Match Details: With Justin advancing past Proof in the first round and Brad advancing past Dylan Styles, these two were destined to square off in this tournament match. Brad had an uphill battle going into this thing, as Justin, who is the current Genesis Champion, has been on a roll as of late. But he came into this match, and challenged valiantly, surprising most of the fans in attendance, and even Justin himself. But Brad's early offense didn't mean much in the long run, because when Justin went on the offensive at the 1 minute and 11 second mark, he never let up, finally finishing Brad off with a Force of Nature for the pinfall at the 6 minute and 41 second mark.
Winner
Match Three: Singles Match
"The One Man Losing Streak" Pegasus vs. Seth Sinn
Referee: Steve Shaw
Match Details: Pegasus entered the ring first to a massive ovation, and then Seth entered, with a fairly decent response. The match started off with Seth locking up with Peggy, and then putting him in a headlock. But, out of the blue, while Seth has Pegasus in that headlock, and only 43 seconds after the match began, Non Compos Mentis runs down to the ring with his North American Championship in hand. Seth releases the hold, but isn't able to avoid being hit with the title when NCM hits the ring. The referee signals for the bell and Seth wins via disqualification. NCM smiles and raises his title in the air and we are taken to a commercial.
Winner
Challenge Laid Out for Laiman?
Details: After we come back from the commercial, Ace Anderson’s music comes on over the speakers. Ace Anderson comes out, with a microphone already in hand, and he looks all business. He climbs up into the ring, and stands in the middle, waiting for them to cut his music.
Ace Anderson: Al Laiman, you want to destroy me? You think that you’re going to defeat me in this ring? You’re fooling yourself. You think you’re some sort of legend...beating Blade 200 times isn’t exactly challenging. You’re afraid, because PCW is a step up from anything you’ve ever seen before. Only your best could even survive here. You’re barely holding on. However, with all of that said, I have a proposal. Since you want Ace Anderson so bad in this ring, to prove your worth, and you were spewing bull(bleep) about a retirement match...well, I’ve talked to The Captain. He told me, that if you agree, it can be Ace Anderson vs. Al Laiman at Living a Legacy. Trust me Al, I can’t wait to get back in that ring, and whether or not I’m cleared to be in there, I’m going to be in there. All you have to do, is accept the challenge, and the match will be booked. I have a feeling you won’t punk out.
Ace drops the microphone and his music begins to play again. He climbs out of the ring and walks up the ramp. He disappears behind the curtain as the feed cuts to commercial.
Match Four: Icemann Invitational Tournament Elite Eight
2Guys vs. Johnny Vivacious
Referee: Eddie Lane
Match Details: 2Guys came out to the ring, but when Johnny Vivacious was announced, he didn't show. After a bit of confusion, Referee Eddie Lane had no choice but to count JV out and give 2Guys the win. 2Guys advance in the tournament, where they'll be competiting against current Genesis Champion Justin Michaels in the Semi Finals. But the bigger question is: What Happened to Johnny Vivacious and Where Was He?
Winner
Match Five: Singles Match
Non Compos Mentis vs. Nina Arcania
Referee: Travis Wilson
Match Details: Non Compos Mentis arrogantly came out to the ring. He went immediately towards Travis Wilson and whispered something in his ear. Travis then told it to Mark Long, who made the announcement that due to travel difficulties, Nina Arcania was unable to make it to the arena tonight. But in her place, Non Compos Mentis found a suitable replacement:
Match Five: Three-on-One Handicap Match
Non Compos Mentis vs. "Seth Sinn", "James Keenan", & "LoKi"
Referee: Travis Wilson
Match Details: Three midget lookalikes of Seth Sinn, James Keenan, and LoKi come out from the back. The fans boo as Non Compos Mentis makes quick work of the three and then nails all three of them with the DumDumDrop at the same time! He then stacks 'em and pins them.
Winner
Prophecy's Exposed
Details: Non Compos Mentis, after demanding one, is handed a microphone. As NCM begins to speak again, his lips move and into the microphone, a random and distorted line of gibberish is created. Unintelligible and downright creepy. NCM's face contorting into a look of pure and utter confusion, he taps the microphone once or twice...only to find out that the microphone has inexplicably been switched off. NCM obviously furious at the incompetence of the tech crew, he throws the microphone down and looks around for anyone he can express his displeasure to.
But as soon as the microphone hits the canvas, the unintelligible words suddenly play over the sound system yet again. With a start, NCM looks towards the main stage. More specifically, the PCW-Tron. On the screen, a red line slices the screen horizontally right down the middle. And as the words play once more, although one can tell the words are slowly getting cleaned up and sorted out, the line begins to jump and spike. Much like the visual of a voice recording, only in red tint instead of the commonplace teal color.
The crowd obviously in a stupor, the trance-like state is induced even further as one at a time...lights begin to short-circuit and turn completely off. One...at...a time. You can almost see NCM follow each individual light, until soon, all the lights are firmly out and the only illumination left is on the main screen.
An ear-piercing screech filling the audience, several patrons covering their ears at the sudden blast. The screen twists a bit before turning to normal once again, the line still straight until that same mish-mash of sounds call out again. Only now, you can hear the words clearly. A beautiful sound, silky and velvety smooth cascading over the sound system. A familiar and haunting voice.
I'm here to stay forever...but not today.
The crowd instantly recognizing the voice, the voice belonging to former PCW International and Tag Team Champion The Prophet. The entire audience erupts and jumps to its' feet as the line begins to retreat across the screen, the point on the right end slowly retracting to the left side. The crowd can feel it. Almost like a countdown, they hold their breaths in anticipation until the line reaches the end. And when it does...?
KRAK-A-THOOM!
The entire arena seems to explode into a fireball of red, orange and yellow lights. NCM shields his eyes with a forearm as the lights burn into the very cracks of the Pure Class arena. On the screen, a silhouette of a lanky but powerful man is walking towards the screen. Slow, methodical footsteps...boots clunking on the floor beneath him. An arm reaching up from the man's side, hand outstretched forward...a fireball races towards the screen...
...and when it gets there, a flaming reminder is left on the screen as the lights slowly return to normal, the normal fluorescent glow that the PCW fans are so accustomed to. But when they come back on, to full focus, Seth Sinn is in the ring, and when NCM turns around to talk to the referee, Seth levels NCM with thunderous rights and lefts. We can see that right above Seth's left eye there is a cut with blood coming out of it. He knocks down NCM and then pulls something from his tights...a bag of some sort! He empties the contents onto the mat; hundreds of thumbtacks come pouring out. He tries to grab NCM, but NCM manages to scurry away and out of the ring. Angered, Seth looks around and grabs the three midgets. He punts the one that looks like LoKi out of the ring, and then grabs the one that looks like James Keenan and football tosses him over the ropes. As for the one that looks like him...well, he delivers the Sinn Nature on him- onto the thumbtacks! NCM looks on, semi-mortified as the feed cuts to a commercial.
Match Six: Icemann Invitational Tournament Elite Eight
James Keenan vs. Kaden Keene
Referee: Tyrone Little
Match Details: During the commercial, the match between James and Kaden began. When we returned, we saw James getting the upperhand on Kaden on the outside of the ring. For most of the match, the two fought on the outside, with both Kaden and James getting the upperhand at one point or another. It wasn't until around the 15 minute mark that anything special happened. James was in the ring, preparing to finish off Kaden with a Closing Song, but when he attempted, Kaden held onto the ropes, and Keenan fell onto the mat. When Keenan got up to his feet, he was blindsided with The Director's Cut. Kaden then pinned James at the 15 minute and 54 second mark to advance in the tournament. Following the match the two shook hands.
Winner
Watching the Show
Details: The feed cuts to the crowd, and for the first time tonight, we see that in the front row sits former PCW Tag Team Champion Jason Willard. With an emotionless look on his face, the feed then cuts to the ring, for the next match.
Match Six: Icemann Invitational Tournament Elite Eight
"The Gambit" Andreas Lasiewicz vs. Sean Hunter
Referee: Richard Stevens
Match Details: Sean entered first, followed by Andreas. This match was to see who advanced to the next round of The Icemann Invitational Tournament. The match started off with a fair pace, but it was Sean who got the upperhand early, and at the 6 minute mark, he had Lasiewicz in the corner, and was ramming him with elbows. He smirked and let Andreas slink out of the corner. Sean goes to tries a springboard dropkick, but Andreas moves out the way and then nailed Hunter with a Polish Hammer. For the next 16 minutes or so, the two pushed eachother's limits, and the fans were really into the action. But it was when Sean went up to the top ropes for a high risk manuever that signaled the end of the match. Hunter leaped off, but Andreas countered by hitting the Peace Maker on Sean in mid-air. He then pinned Hunter at the 24 minute and 37 mark to advance to square off against Kaden Keene in the Semi-Finals of the tournament.
Winner
Contract Signing
Details: Nothing special here. A few intense moments between the two, but nothing too harsh. PCW Commentator "Crazy" Bob was the man looking over the proceedings while Bob and Pierre commented at ringside. Again, nothing too special. After the contract was signed, Grimm and Lantlas shook hands, but it was Grimm who pulled Lantlas into him and the two shared a look of intensity as the feed faded out.
