Live on E! from the Pure Class Arena in Greenville, South Carolina
Show Introduction
Details: We’re greeted to a live shot of the Pure Class Arena in Greenville, South Carolina, and Saliva’s, “Survival of the Sickest” is playing as a massive pyrotechnics display is shown. Once the pyro dies down, Jerry Andrews and Michael “The Man” Williams welcomes the viewers to the show and gives a quick card rundown. Following that, with Mark Long already standing in the ring, the first match is introduced.
Match One: Singles Match
James Keenan vs. Michael Reaper
Referee: Roberto Garcia
Match Details: Michael Reaper has been impressive for such a young competitor, but he’ll have his hands full this week when he squares off against former PCW Tag Team Champion James Keenan. Then again, it could be argued that James Keenan’s former tag team partner Kaden Keene carried the team and when Kaden turned his back on him, James Keenan was lost; like a deer in the headlights. James goes into this match trying to make it known that he is just as capable as any other member of the PCW roster. But he has a large test in front of him in Michael Reaper- a very large test.
Michael made his entrance first, with the fans offering him both cheers and jeers. I guess it is still too early for them to figure out whether they like or dislike the guy. James was second, but he also got a large mixed reaction. When the two were in the ring, the bell sounded, and the match began.
Similar to both Jacob Roth and Jarrod Walls, James tried to use speed to get the big man off his feet. Unlike both of them, he was able to do so after numerous clotheslines to the chest of Michael, a dodged right hook by Reaper, and then a dropkick to the knee. That brought Michael down to one knee, which made him about the same height as James. James went with another dropkick and knocked the big man down fully. He quickly tried to pin, but Michael over-powered out of the pin attempt at a one count.
Michael quickly got onto his feet, and when James tried another dropkick, Michael blocked it. He then grabbed James and did a spinebuster onto him. He lifted James up and whipped him into the turnbuckle and then came in with a thunderous clothesline. While having him in the corner, Michael started laying into James with rights and lefts to the body and head.
He backed up and allowed James to come stumble out of the corner and then Michael grabbed James’s throat. He hoisted Keenan over his head to deliver a chokeslam, but as he had Keenan in the air, James was able to swing over and bring down Michael with a DDT. He quickly went for the pin, and at the six minute and forty-three second mark, James defeated the giant Michael Reaper.
Winner
The Drinking Game
Details: Following the match, the feed switches to somewhere backstage, to a room filled with loads of crates stacked around. Sitting on two of them, facing each other, we find Jackle and Menace sitting down with bottles of alcohol in their hands. While drinking their drinks, they slur their words that don’t make sense, hiccup a lot and burst into random laughter. They’re obviously drunk.
How they are still conscious when they started their drinking game 24hours ago (as seen in their latest Promotional Video) is completely unknown, but that’s plot devices for you. A few moments pass before some PCW backstage worker opens the door to the room to tell the 2Guys they have a match starting. They throw down their last bottles, pick up and open new ones and stumble out of the room as the feed fades to commercial break.
Match Two: Singles Match
Jackle vs. Menace
Referee: Tim Jones
Match Details: Following the commercial break, Drunkard does make wise remarks doesn’t seem too appropriate as the 2Guys come out to said theme music, stumbling down to the ring, having to hold each other up as they head there. Upon taking a while to get into the ring and stand which included many embarrassing moments, the 2Guys try showing of to the crowd, almost tripping over each their own feet at times.
The bell sounds and the match officially starts, with both 2Guys too drunk to even realise what they are doing there, let alone that they’re facing each other. Stumbling and showing off around the ring some more, Jackle trips over his feet and collides into Menace, who promptly shoves his tag partner back. The two stare at each other like they’ve had their drink stolen by the other, looking like a drunken fight is going to break out, and it does.
Menace throws a punch at Jackle, but misses completely, swings himself around 360degrees, trips on his feet and falls backwards on the mat. Despite not being hit at all by the punch, the alcohol finally takes effect on Jackle’s small mind and he two just falls backwards unconscious. It takes the stunned ref a few moments to realize what’s happened before starting to count both of them out, eventually reaching the 10 count and classifying the match as a double K.O. Both 2Guys have just managed to loose in a match that pitted one against the other, though neither realize as paramedics head down to the ring to collect the unconscious bodies of the 2Guys.
Winner
Campaigning to Get His Job Back
Details: The feed switched over to inside a strip club. Inside the strip club, waiting outside an office, is PCW suspended official “Fast Count” Eddie Lane. As the camera pans up a bit more, we could see the office belongs to PCW Owner Luis Malave. They must be at his strip club the, “Chick ‘N’ Strip”. Luis comes out of his office, looking flustered, and is surprised when he sees Eddie Lane waiting there.
Luis begins to question, “why the hell” is Eddie there, and Eddie begins pleading for his job. Luis tells Eddie he doesn’t have time for this, and has his bouncers toss Eddie Lane outside of the building. The feed then fades to commercial break.
Match Three: Singles Match
Pegasus vs. “Heavy Metal” Jacob Roth
Referee: Richard Stevens
Match Details: Last week, we saw PCW Hall of Famer Pegasus team up with PCW newcomer Jacob Roth. The duo was able to defeat the veteran team of 2Guys, who in their own right are former PCW World Tag Team Champions. This week, the winning team is put on opposite sides of the ring as they have had to face one another. Pegasus is looking as good as ever and definitely has the experience and credentials to walk out with the victory, but when you have a hungry newcomer, anything could happen.
Jacob Roth came out to the ring first, with a louder pop than usual. I suppose the PCW fans in Greenville had taking a liking to the rookie. He offered up some playing of the air guitar as he made his way down the aisle and then offered some more when he entered the ring. Before Mark Long could introduce Pegasus, Jacob grabbed the microphone, and similar as he did last week, introduced Pegasus to the crowd.
This cued up Pegasus’s music and the PCW Hall of Famer made his grand entrance. The crowd just ate it all up. After making his way to the ring, he entered and Jacob immediately offered a hand to Pegasus. Pegasus accepted the gesture and shook Jacob’s hand. That got a loud roar of approval from the PCW faithful. Once the handshake commenced, the bell was sounded, and the match began.
Pegasus and Jacob circled the ring, until they locked up. They battle it out for a few seconds then broke. After circling the ring again they again locked up and Pegasus locked in a hammerlock on Jacob, who grabs him and put him in a headlock. Jacob punched him a few times in the gut and pushed Pegasus into the ropes.
Pegasus hit the ropes and jumped over Heavy Metal, who was lying on his stomach. Jacob then shot up and leapfrogged over Pegasus who was coming off the ropes. When Pegasus bounced back off the other ropes, Jacob his a huge hip toss onto the former champion. Pegasus got back to his feet, and with a bit of disappointment, kicked the bottom rope. Jacob and Pegasus locked eyes once again and then do another tieup. That time it didn’t last very long as Pegasus kneed him in the gut and then started beating Heavy Metal’s back with forearm shots. Roth dropped down onto a knee and Pegasus then Irish whipped him into the turnbuckle. He came in and hit him with a few shots to the gut before raising Roth's chin and chopping his chest three times.
After the third strike, Jacob changed the momentum by grabbing Pegasus and tossing him in the corner. Heavy Metal then chopped the former champion a few times. Jacob then whipped him into the turnbuckle on the other side. After playing a bit of air guitar he then ran straight at Pegasus. Unfortunately for him though, Pegasus runs out at him and took him down with a massive clothesline. Pegasus then dropped an elbow on Jacob and covered but Roth kicked out at two.
Pegasus picked up Jacob and gave him a backbreaker for another two-count. He picked Jacob back up then hit him with a few punches and then put him in a headlock. Pegasus punched Roth in the head a few times before whipping him into the ropes.
Jacob hit the ropes and Pegasus got down on his stomach waiting for him to jump over him, but instead, Jacob stopped and drop a huge elbow onto the back of Pegasus. He then picked up Pegasus set him up for a Suplex. Pegasus blocked it and attempted a Suplex of his own, which was also blocked. Jacob punched Pegasus a few times which allowed him to hit him with the Suplex. Jacob grabbed Pegasus up and then delivered a big belly-to-belly and made the pin, but only received a two-count. Pegasus got up and ran at Heavy Metal, who countered with a sidewalk slam for another two-count.
Pegasus got back onto his feet, but when Heavy Metal went for a dropkick, Pegasus dodged it, and Heavy Metal dropped onto his back. Pegasus then went and quickly locked in an inverted sharpshooter. The fans were wild, sensing the match was about over. Pegasus wrenched in, but Jacob was close enough to the ropes to break the hold. Pegasus, the veteran that he is, waited til the count of four to break the hold, and when he did, he reached down to grab Jacob, but Jacob grabbed him and rolled him up in a small-package. Three mat slaps later, and Jacob Roth had defeated Pegasus at the twenty-three minute and eleven second mark.
Winner
Congratulating the Better Man
Details: Pegasus, a bit shocked at how he lost, got up to his feet, while Heavy Metal was celebrating his victory. Pegasus walked over to Jacob and grabbed him on the shoulder and spun him around to face him. Jacob, not sure what was going to happen, was pleasantly surprised when Pegasus offered a smile and a handshake. Jacob accepted his gesture this time and the two shook hands. Pegasus then raised Jacob’s arm and then patted him on the back before the feed faded to a commercial break.
Match Four: Tag Team Match
Jade & Loco vs. “The Tragic Princess” Destiny Willard & Quinn Masters
Referee: Steve Shaw
Match Details: Following commercial break, three of the four competitors for the next match is in the ring. Missing is Quinn Masters. After moments of waiting, Steve explains to Destiny that he’ll have to award the match to Destiny and Loco if Quinn doesn’t show. Destiny becomes belligerent, and tries to tell Steve she’d wrestle the match on her own. Similar to last week, Loco walks over to Destiny and tries to explain to her, and just like last week, Loco gets a kick to the groin for his efforts. Steve waits a few more moments before giving word to Mark Long to award the match to Jade and Loco via forfeit.
Winner
Destiny vs. Jade…vs. Loco?
Details: Destiny goes nuts and is about to attack Steve Shaw when Jade goes and grabs her. The two begin to go at it, exchanging blows. Loco seems to have recovered and gets in the middle of the action to try and separate the two women, but they both dropkick him over the top ropes at the same moment. The two continue to go at it, and Loco slides into the ring and clotheslines both females to end the action. The feed fades to commercial as Loco stands over Jade and Destiny, with an annoyed look on his face.
Match Five: Singles Match
Jarrod Walls vs. Tyrone “Crazy Boy” Smith
Referee: Tyrone Little
Match Details: What had all the makings of being a very good match never came to fruition, as Crazy Boy quickly and effortlessly defeated Jarrod Walls in just a matter of seconds. Sixty-seven seconds to be exact. The entire match went like this:
Crazy Boy entered first to cheers, Jarrod entered next to boos, Jarrod turned his back towards Crazy Boy to yell at the fans, and the bell sounded. When Jarrod turned around Crazy locked in the Crazy Slam and pinned Jarrod, ending the match.
Winner
Match Six: Tag Team Match
Grimm & “The Conformist Killer” by Bob Diehard vs. Lantlas (World Champion) & Ace Anderson
Referee: Richard Stevens
Match Details: A lot of funny business had been going on between Grimm, Diehard, Lantlas, and Skylar and it seems as if Bob doesn’t like Lantlas, Lantlas is working with Skylar, and Grimm had been screwed over by both Skylar and Lantlas. Ace joins the fray as he teams with his friend Lantlas, as to try and help him see the err of his way.
Diehard made his entrance first, which he received a loud amount of boos for his efforts, Grimm entered second getting his usual pop, and then Ace and Lantlas made their entrance together. As the match began, it seemed like Ace and Lantlas weren’t even speaking to each other, which was odd. Normally going into a match against a man who they both held some sort of rivalry against, they’d be discussing strategy and what not, but it seemed like they both had other things on their mind.
What other things, nobody would ever really know. Another peculiar thing was Skylar Marshall, who happened to be sitting at ringside, a steel briefcase in hand. This left Grimm rather suspicious of the PCW President.
The bell rung and the match kicked off with Ace and Grimm tying up, a meeting of old rivals who hadn’t stepped into the ring together one on one in quite some time. Grimm pushed and Ace shoved. Grimm buckled down and dug his heels into the mat, trying desperately to hold his ground against the much bigger Ace Anderson. Ace managed to maneuver Phinehas into a headlock, but the Abomination of Desolation reached up and clawed at the eyes of the former World Champion, causing him to break the hold.
Grimm then delivered a stomp to the foot of Ace Anderson, before bouncing off the ropes. Ace rubbed at his eyes, trying to get through a moment of temporary blindness. Grimm came off of the ropes at good speed, and collided right into Ace with a spear. This brought the big man down to the mat, and Grimm was quick to pounce on him, his unorthodox attack overwhelming Ace Anderson. Lantlas made an attempt to enter the ring to help his partner, but Richard Stevens saw him out of the corner of his eye, and led Lantlas back to his corner.
This brought Bob Diehard into the ring, to get in some boots on Ace Anderson before Stevens turned around, apparently oblivious to Lantlas alerting him of the happenings behind him. Grimm was in the midst of picking Ace Anderson up by the head, when Ace fought back with a European uppercut, which momentarily stunned Grimm. Ace grabbed hold of Grimm, wrapping around him tightly, and hit him with a belly to belly Suplex. Ace nursed his throbbing head as he made the tag to Lantlas, who was in and on Grimm within seconds.
The Elven Warrior locked in a camel clutch, which put Grimm in much noticeable pain. Grimm cried out, and as Richard Stevens was down and ready to check on the Abomination of Desolation, asking for any sign of submission, Bob Diehard got into the ring and delivered a straight kick to the face of Lantlas which caused him to break the hold, and probably provided him with a nice meal of tooth and blood. Diehard simply smirked as Stevens told him to get out of the ring. Grimm made his way over to Diehard, slapped his hand for a tag, and The Conformist Killer was ready to jump in the ring, ready to continue a vendetta he held against the World Champion.
Lantlas was down on the mat, holding his jaw, as Diehard performed a nice springboard leg drop right onto the chest and throat area of Lantlas. Diehard went for the pin, but Ace Anderson was in the ring to break it up even before a one count. Ace retreated back to his corner, jaw jacking at Diehard, who followed him, lipping as well. This could be attributed to Ace’s experience, as this gave Lantlas the time he needed to make a slight recovery. The Elven Warrior was to his feet as Diehard turned to face him, and Lantlas hit him with a combination of throat thrusts and roundhouse kicks.
Lantlas then set Diehard up for the Flame of the West, but Grimm wasn’t ready for that yet. He scaled the top rope, and delivered a rather large flying elbow to the face of Lantlas, causing him to drop Grimm’s tag team partner, and fall to the mat. From there, it was pandemonium.
Ace Anderson jumped into the ring and charged Grimm, who dropped Ace with a drop toe hold. This didn’t keep Ace down for long, however, as he popped back up to his feet. Diehard came over for a double team, with both men delivering a toe kick to the gut of Ace Anderson, and then they tossed him across the squared circle with a double irish whip. Ace bounced off, and his opponents lay in wait for a double back body drop, but it never came. Ace delivered a toe to the nose of Bob Diehard, who backed off and walked around the ring.
Grimm looked up, only to be taken down by a clothesline from Ace Anderson. Diehard returned to the middle of the ring, still a bit dazed, and ran right into a set of trapping headbutts by Ace Anderson! After delivering the headbutts, Ace whipped Diehard into a corner. He followed him, and connected with a monstrous splash. He whipped Diehard across once more, connecting with another big splash on the other side of the ring. Diehard traipsed into the middle of the ring, in a total blur, and Ace locked him in a capture Suplex position, which he wrenched like a bearhug.
Ace finished off his signature Blitzkrieg sequence with a Powerslam, but he couldn’t make the pin, because Grimm was coming toward him to make sure it didn’t happen, after discontinuing an exchange with Lantlas. Grimm came across and went for a punch on Ace, but Ace blocked it, and attempted to return a punch of his own.
Grimm blocked that punch, but before he could swing at Ace, Lantlas grabbed his arm. Lantlas and Grimm began brawling, as Ace looked to Bob Diehard. The entire time, Richard Stevens was trying to regain order, but nothing was going to stop those men from fighting like animals. Ace picked up Diehard by his ankles and spun his finger in the air. He began to spin Diehard by his legs, causing Diehard to gain more and more speed as Ace twirled around. Ace released Diehard, but didn’t even realize that he was throwing him directly into Richard Stevens! Dick hit the mat, and this left the four in the ring without a referee. Lantlas began to gain an upper hand on Grimm, and now Skylar Marshall was up, his briefcase in hand.
As Lantlas hit Grimm with a throat thrust that sent him holding his throat in momentary retreat, Skylar tossed the briefcase into the ring to Lantlas, who stood with it in his hands, slightly confused. Ace walked over to Lantlas and ripped the briefcase out of his clutches, saying something to him. Ace cut himself off as he spun a complete circle and creamed the advancing Grimm with the briefcase, leaving him cold-cocked and split wide open.
Lantlas said something to Ace, to which Ace then leveled his tag team partner! Bob Diehard began to get up, but as he got to his knees, Ace took the briefcase in his hands and threw it right into the face of Bob Diehard with a vicious chest pass! Everyone was down in the ring except for Ace Anderson, and nobody was quite sure what to make of it. Then the boos began. Ace called for a microphone, and Richard Stevens got up to find Ace reaching down for a microphone, and everyone leveled, so he had no choice but to call the match a no contest.
Winner
A Return to Greatness
Details: (As the bell rang, Ace Anderson raised the microphone to his lips. Before speaking, he paused to take in the shower of the boos that nearly shook the arena. A few people even threw water bottles and soft drinks at him.)
Ace Anderson: Such a beautiful sound. Ace Anderson has missed it. The chorus of boos reaching to every corner of this arena. It’s been a long time.
(Ace raised his hands as if to bathe himself in the boos that did not cease, not during the whole time he was talking.)
Ace Anderson: You see, Ace Anderson has recently had a bit of a chat with Skylar Marshall, and collectively, they’ve decided that it’s time that Greatness holds the PCW World Championship once again, and it hardly matters to Ace Anderson who he must take out in the process.
(Ace walks over to where the briefcase is on the mat, and he picks it up, opening it and removing the paper inside. He turns to Skylar, who tosses him a pen. The feed fades as Ace is signing the contract while standing in the middle of the ring, a sinister grin on his face.)
