PCW COLLISION COURSE
Live on Pay-Per-View from the Pure Class Arena in Greenville, South Carolina
"When Worlds Collide" by Powerman 5000 blares throughout the arena as the camera pans over the capacity crowd. The announcing team runs down the card, giving some extra hype to the two title matches. The audience goes completely nuts as Mark Long appears and comes down to the ring to introduce the first match.
SINGLES MATCH
Finnegan Burke vs. Kri Delastano
The lights begin to flicker into a green color as "Over the Hills and Far Away" begins to play, beginning with the opening-drumming beat. As the singing of the music begins, a thick mist fills the entranceway. As the song reaches the main refrain, green pyros go off and Finnegan Burke steps out onto the stage and poses, raising his arms in pre victory before striding to the ring with a determined look in his eye, amidst a huge chorus of jeers and boos from the crowd. He walks up the ringsteps and gets into the ring, shadowboxing as he waits for the match to begin.
Kri Delastano makes his entrance next to a moderate pop. Referee Tim Jones checks both wrestlers and signals for the bell. The two mix it up for several minutes with neither man able to get the upper hand, Burke with a display of good old Irish brawling and Delastano using basic wrestling tactics. At the five minute mark, Burke gains some momentum with a triple suplex. He pounds away on Delastano, ignoring the negative response from the audience. He locks in a sharpshooter, but is too close to the ropes and is forced to break the hold. As Delastano struggles to his feet, Burke stands poised ready to deliver the Irish Snapper. Delastano ducks it, catches Burke’s leg, and executes a capture fisherman suplex. One… Two… Three!
Winner: Kri Delastano
TAG TEAM GRUDGE MATCH
ELIMINATION MATCH
2Guys vs. Michael Reaper and Bob Diehard
“Unforgiven” hits and the crowd starts screaming. The lights switch over to green, and flicker. The camera zooms in on the entrance ramp, and Reaper, with his head down, is raised onto it from an elevator from beneath it. When he Reaches the top, he looks up, and green fireworks go off. He walks down to the ring, where he rolls in to the crowd chanting "Omen sucks!” He gets up to a knee, and looks out at the crowd, then back down the entrance ramp.
"Another Brick in the Wall" hits the arena. A flood of smoke spills out from the entrance and down the ramp, when suddenly Bob Diehard emerges. He runs down the ramp and slids into the ring. For a while he taunts the crowd. Then hangs back in a ring corner, conferring with his tag partner.
“Drunkard Does Make Wise Remarks” starts to play as Jackle and Menace walk onto the stage. They strike a variety of idiotic poses before starting to walk to the ring. The crowd seems to greatly enjoy their antics, and rewards them with a solid pop. Just as the two reach ringside, Diehard attempts to jumpstart the match with a suicide dive through the ropes. However 2Guys spot a quarter on the ground and bend down to pick it up, and Diehard goes sailing straight over them and crashes to the floor. Jackle and Menace enter the ring, completely unaware of what just happened.
Steve Shaw calls for the bell, and Jackle and Reaper go at it first with Diehard still out on the floor. Reaper dominates early, using his power and technical skill. A military press backbreaker is followed by a triangle choke, but Menace makes the save with a legdrop, breaking the hold. Bob Diehard, finally recovering, comes charging across the ring to clothesline Menace, sending him out over the top rope. Diehard follows him out and the two start brawling around the ring. Reaper sends Jackle hard into the corner, following in with a clothesline bulldog combination, then goes to the top for the Reaper Bomb. Unfortunately for him, Diehard picks exactly the wrong moment to smash Menace into the ringpost causing Reaper to lose his footing and crotch himself on the top rope. He falls to the mat, and Jackle gets an arm over him. One… Two… Diehard comes sliding in for the save… Three! Reaper is eliminated.
Furious with this development, Diehard starts stomping away on Jackle. He executes a suplex, followed by a spinebuster, then signals for the Conformist Killshot brainbuster, looking to get out of the two-on-one disadvantage as quickly as possible. He sets his opponent up, but Jackle blocks it. Reversal by Jackle, and Diehard is held up as Menace springboards off the top rope for the Exclamation Mark! Cover by Jackle… One… Two… Three!
Winners: 2Guys
SINGLES MATCH
Sean Reaper vs. Joshua Megtorlas
"Now or Never" by Dope plays as Reaper makes his entrance first. "Stockholm Syndrome" hits next, and Megtorlas makes his way down to the ring. The crowd seems to favor Reaper, but a fair portion of the audience is cheering Megtorlas on as well as the bell rings and the match begins.
The two go back and forth for awhile with Megtorlas using his martial arts to counter Reaper’s arsenal of power moves. Reaper sends his opponent to the corner and charges in to follow up, but Megtorlas ducks out of the way and Reaper’s face meets the top turnbuckle. He staggers around and gets nailed with the Cannon Fodder kick to the jaw to lay him out, and Megtorlas takes the advantage. He proceeds to assault his opponent with a variety of kicks and chops, keeping him off his feet and on the defensive.
At the six minute mark, Megtorlas misses with a diving headbutt, and Reaper is able to capitalize with some high-impact power moves. A gorilla press slam, and Reaper struts a bit before setting Megtorlas up for the Grim Mistake. As he swings his opponent off his shoulders, his head is caught and Megtorlas reverses into a swinging DDT. Reaper forces himself to his feet, and walks straight into the “Megtorlas” series of martial arts kicks. Without wasting a second, Megtorlas locks in the Lights Out! The suspense is high as Reaper struggles to escape. He almost manages to turn it around, but Megtorlas tightens the hold. Another near escape, but again, his opponent manages to maintain the sleeper. Finally Reaper’s struggles weaken, and the referee lifts his arm. It drops once… twice… three times!
Winner: Joshua Megtorlas
NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIP
FATAL FOUR-WAY MATCH
Kaden Calix of Havoc, Inc. vs. (c) James Keenan vs. Tyrone "Crazy Boy" Smith vs. Jasper Bedlam w/ Bonshire
“10,000 Fits” by Disturbed plays and Bonshire leads the way as Bedlam comes to the ring with his black towel over his head.
The lights flicker and fade out as the crunching guitars of Shadows Fall's "The Light That Blinds" pops on the PA system. Smoke fills the arena as a figure stands in the middle of it. All the sudden, Crazy Boy comes out of the smoke and pumps a fist in the air. He walks down the entryway and climbs the ropes of the ring. He bounces around the ropes a few times, pumps his fist in the air one last time and waits for the rest of his opponents to come.
Calix is out next to "Take It All Away" by Faktion, entering to an enormous round of boos. Before he’s halfway to the ring, Bedlam suddenly jumpstarts the match with a strong arm clothesline to Crazy Boy! A quick cover, looking to get the match over with before the champion even makes his appearance… One… one count only, and Calix rushes the ring and starts pounding away on Bedlam.
“Pull Harder on the Strings of Your Martyr” begins to blare over the venue sound system as Multi-colored lights strobe in unison with the opening drum solo of the song. Seven seconds into the song right as the guitar riffs begin a loud boom and twin pillars of pyro signal the champion’s arrival. He stands atop the stage for a minute with his fists pumped into the air. Rather than coming down to the ring, he stands on the stage with his arms crossed, watching the three men in the ring go at it.
There are no allegiances in the match. Calix with a suplex on Bedlam, and the Crazy One with a neckbreaker on Calix. Quick cover… One… and Bedlam breaks it up. Bedlam sends Crazy Boy to the ropes and goes for a backdrop, but Smith nails a DDT. Before he can capitalize, Calix executes a German suplex. Another cover… One… Bedlam makes the save again. Bedlam and Calix mixing it up now, power matching power. Calix with a huge powerbomb on Bedlam… and gets nailed right in the face with a Crazy Drop! Smith pumps his fist in the air once, and suddenly James Keenan rushes into the ring and practically spears him out of his boots!
All four men in the ring now, Keenan pressing his advantage on Crazy Boy, and Calix and Bedlam slugging away at each other on the other side of the ring. The champion, probably in retribution for getting mocked by midgets, executes three DDT’s in a row on the Crazy One. He goes for the cover… One… Two… almost a three, but both Bedlam and Calix charge in for the save.
Calix and Crazy Boy now, with Calix keeping up the momentum started by Keenan and using his fifty-pound advantage over the Crazy One. A series of ring-shaking power moves, and Calix goes for the Omega Driver. Smith is up in the air… and counters with a flip-over DDT! He immediately goes to the top rope to deliver a Crazy Drop sending Calix head over heels as he is getting to his feet. Not wasting a moment, Smith goes up again and delivers another Crazy Drop to Keenan just as he had Bedlam up in the air for a vertical suplex. Keenan falls with Bedlam coming down right on top of him, accidentally into a pinning predicament. One… Smith breaks it up.
Calix back on the Crazy One, as Keenan recovers and continues his assault on Bedlam. Belly to belly slam, followed by a T-Bone suplex. Keenan locks in a Boston Crab, and almost gets a submission before Calix notices and breaks it up with a lariat to the back of the champion’s head. A series of double axehandles to keep Keenan on the defensive, then he picks him up and sends him for a ride. High back body drop, but gets nailed with an enzuigiri from Crazy Boy. Calix falls backward, and Keenan is waiting with a schoolboy roll up. One… Smith makes the save again.
Calix and Smith forge a temporary alliance and go to work double-teaming the champion. A double irish whip to the corner, and both men charge in with a clothesline-lariat combination. They work together to try and stomp the life out of Keenan, then send him to the ropes. Another double clothesline attempt, but Keenan ducks it. Just as Calix and Smith hit the ropes, Bonshire pulls down on the top and both men go tumbling out to the floor. Suddenly the recovered Bedlam grabs Keenan from behind and holds him facing away from the referee, hiding the fact that Bonshire is on the ring apron with a pair of brass knuckles! Here it comes… Keenan escapes and Bonshire nails Bedlam right between the eyes! One… Two… Both Calix and Keenan rushing in for the save… Three!
Winner: James Keenan
NUMBER ONE CONTENDERSHIP FOR THE PCW CHAMPIONSHIP
SINGLES MATCH
"Heavy Metal" Jacob Roth vs. "The Prophet" Marcus Murdoc
The arena dims and the lights begin to flash like a rock concert as the music kicks in good and loud.
“Head bangers in leather
Sparks fly in the dead of the night
It all comes together
When they shoot out the lights...”
Right on cue the arena lights go out completely. Pyrotechnics explode seconds later revealing Heavy Metal on stage, stoic for a change, surveying the crowd. Finally he flashes the ‘metal’ signs and begins to make his way down the aisle. He hands out a few high fives along the way, but his eyes never leave the ring. Once there, he foregoes his usual flashy performance, instead just stripping off his leather jacket and waiting for the match to begin, his expression one of fierce intensity.
'YOUR...SOUL'S ON FIRE!' The voice of Wayne Static of Static-X screams out over the PA system inside the Pure Class arena. At the mention of the word 'Fire', a huge explosion rocks the stage area as a rather large ring of fire erupts from the floor, just in front of the entryway. The arena is bathed in heavy orange, red, and yellow hues and in the middle of the ring of flame… nothing happens!
There is a moment of confusion as the Prophet is nowhere to be seen. Finally, Roth starts to go to the outside, but is stopped by referee Travis Wilson. Wilson starts the ten-count as Roth paces the ring like a caged animal. At the count of ten the bell rings, and before he can even get the duke Roth is out of the ring and heading up the aisle, on the hunt for Marcus Murdoc.
Winner: “Heavy Metal” Jacob Roth
PCW CHAMPIONSHIP
SINGLES MATCH
Grimm (c) vs. Justin "Stormm" Michaels
"Ordinary Man" by Breaking Benjamin hits as Justin Michaels appears with Lindsay at his side. He makes his way down to the ring as the audience nearly drowns out his entrance music.
Strobe lights begin to flicker in the entryway as ‘Reset’ spills from the speakers. Phinehas Grimm steps out to bask in the light and shadows, head bowed, arms limp, with rogue strands of dripping hair hanging in his face. He takes it all in for a few moments before making the long walk to the ring, ignoring the fans along the way while Mutemath continues its serenade. Grimm steps up onto the apron and slides in between the ropes. Hopping up onto a turnbuckle, he casts his gaze out over the crowd with his arms at his side, eyes shifting to take in the sea of faces spread out before him as the crowd goes wild.
The two men eye each other as head referee Richard Stevens holds up the grandest prize in the sport – the PCW World Championship. The bell is called for and the match is underway! Grimm and Michaels circle each other for a moment, then tie up. Michaels with a body slam, but the champion pops right back up and they lock up again. Grimm with the slam this time, and Michaels rolls right back to his feet. More circling, and another lockup. Grimm sends Michaels to the ropes, and the Stormm comes off with a shoulderblock to his wiry opponent. Grimm to his feet again, and is sent to the ropes by Michaels. Grimm with the shoulderblock this time sending his opponent to the mat. Michaels is up immediately, and the fierce opponents stand toe to toe in a staredown.
It doesn’t last long as suddenly the two men explode into action, slugging away at each other in a pier six brawl. Grimm takes the advantage with a series of hard rights and sends Michaels to the corner, following in with a knee strike. A whip to the far corner, Michaels reverses it sending the champion into the turnbuckles, and follows in with a dropkick that knocks Grimm into a seated position. Michaels stomps away at him, then starts boot-choking him as the referee starts the five count. On five, Stevens tries to get Michaels to break off, but it’s no go and he continues his assault. Finally, the ref forces himself between the two and makes Michaels back off. A bit of an argument ensues, which is all the champion needs to recover and come out of the corner with a lariat. With his opponent on the mat, the champion goes to work choking the life out of him, breaking the hold at the count of four, then going right back to it.
He finally pulls Michaels to his feet and sends him for a ride, connecting with a back elbow. More choking, then pulls him to his feet again for another ride to the ropes. Grimm to the opposite side, but Lindsay reaches in from the outside and trips him up. The referee saw it, and delivers a stern warning to the girl as Michaels takes back the advantage.
Snap suplex and several elbow drops, then a cover. One… one count only, the champion isn’t near finished yet. Point of the elbow to the throat, then more stomps followed by a double arm underhook suplex. Another cover and still only a one count. A little frustrated, he pulls Grimm to his feet again and goes for another suplex, but the champion blocks it and executes a suplex of his own. Back on the offensive, Grimm sends Michaels to the ropes again for a Samoan Drop, then picks him up and slams him back down in a spinebuster. Cover by the champ… One… Two… two count only.
Grimm tries to press his advantage, but Michaels fights back and we’ve got another slugfest as the two men trade punches and kicks. This time Michaels takes the advantage and shoots Grimm to the ropes, but the champion grabs on to the top rope and Michaels dropkick attempt hits nothing but air. Grimm tries to move in, but once more Lindsay grabs his ankle from the outside. Angry now, Grimm tries to go out after her, but Stevens intercepts. He’s ordering Lindsay away from ringside! She obviously doesn’t want to go, and Michaels grabs the referee sticking his finger in his face. Stevens gives clear warning that Michaels is close to disqualification and orders Lindsay away again. Finally Michaels turns away in disgust and anger… and right into the Harvest! One… Two… Three!
Winner: Phinehas Grimm
