4-0 ; 2-0
When you see those two figures next to one another, what does the human mind think of automatically? Well probably nothing, because you wouldn't understand what either meant. Allow me to bring you up to speed on the meaning behind each set of numbers there. The first one represents the win-loss record for World Champion, Landon Divine. In just a little over two months into his PCW stay, he has racked up four wins. Now those wins came against lackluster opponents. But when compared to the talented Mr. Divine, EVERYONE in PCW is simply lackluster.
Take the next set. Two and O. Behind that record is what Landon is against the competition of Slither. He's beaten him once one on one. Then just this past edition of Trauma, beat him again in what was billed to be a tag team match-up. Now in a matter of days, Landon would have the oppourtunity to beat Slither yet AGAIN. I mean, who in the fucking hell made him a number one contender...to something as prestigious as the World Title?? Slither hasn't beaten anyone to earn that spot, let alone a chance to even be in the same ring as Landon.
Eck. The incompentence of Pure Class Wrestling officials. Starting with Luis Malave, and then ending with Alejandro Walker. Now don't get Lan wrong. He liked Malave on the standpoint of business. I mean, it was him who gave Landon the chance to shine and then also the one who awarded him the World Title. Out of every champion on the history of PCW, people could honestly say that finally, it was brought back to glory the day Landon got it. Kyle Cross and Nina Arcania were two of the biggest black eyes on the history that any industry could have ever seen.
But time moves on and now at Return to Glory, Landon would have to deal with Cross again. Walker took it upon his rum drunken self to place KC as the special guest referee in the match with Slither. Landon was worried about this, because essentially he would be facing a two on one situation. In Landon's mind, there was no way possible that Cross would call it down the middle at all. NO WAY. So Lan needed a way to rest his mind on the matter. The recent Hurricane that hit Florida didn't help matters. But the second Divine even heard that a Cane was on it's way, he bolted out of the state...leaving his family to fend for themselves in the process.
Where did Landon head off to? Well definitley away from anywhere on the East Coast. Landon talked himself into going back to the point of no return. The West Coast. But the state in particular was California. Now Landon hated it there on his last outing, so why would he go back to the state that he couldn't stand?? Because Divine knew that someone lived there. Someone who may be able to help in the war against Kyle Cross. But the hard thing....someone who he laid out the last time he saw this guy. It was none other than Jason Willard, and Landon was headed straight for Anaheim.
----------------------
Once in Orange County, Landon looked around at the sights that Anaheim had to offer him as he moved down a huge chain of traffic. That had to be one thing that really un-nerved him....traffic. The LA area was notorious for it. It was slightly cooler there, than back at Miami...but Landon was used to warmth, so that was out of the factoring. Willard had no idea Landon was looking for him, and probably would not be happy to see him again. But something told Landon that if he wanted a win at the pay per view...he needed to go talk to someone who was used to doing just thing...winning.
Landon continued on his journey. How did he know where Jason lived? Well, Landon had his sources...none of which would be any of your business. So eventually, he found where he needed to go and made the proper turns and driving miles to reach the home of the ex-superstar. Pulling up on the side of the curb, Landon cocked his head to the side and looked at the house that was presented in front of him. On the outside, it was well crafted. White walls. A nice porch. A paved sidewalk that lead to the front steps of the home. But how would it look inside? Well, there was only one way to find that out. The home was located in a small, isolated area of Anaheim. Which, as you should know, suited Jason.
But Jason was only half the issue. What if his wife Destiny was home? How would she feel about a stranger intruding...especially one that her husband wasn't fond of. Landon got out of his car, after sitting inside and looking on with an arrogant smile. Under his breath, Lan spoke "My house is a hundred times better.", which one again had to boost his already huge ego. So as he shut the door and came around, he decided not to open the small gated door...but rather leap over it. Why? Who Knows, but Landon must have decided it was important enough.
Straightening out his white Miami Heat jersey (Dwayne Wade, #3), Landon walked right up to the front door. He noticed that he had the choice of ringing a doorbell or knocking on the door. Divine decided he would do both at the same time. He didn't stop after a couple seconds either, he just kept going on and on and on...determined to keep doing so until someone came to answer the door. What Landon overlooked was that no car was in the driveway. So that meant either he was gone. She was gone. Or both were gone. Landon eventually gave up on his mission and decided to return to his car. Angered, Landon had to now think up of someone else that could help. But...the deep dark thought was simple : There was NO ONE. Gulping, Landon looked worried and begun to sweat.
"Cross is going to screw me over. I know he is. This is all a conspiracy against me....surley Ice can do something about it. Make a reveral of decision and have Kyle taken out......"
As Divine continued to worry over something that might not even happen, he shook his head, slapped himself a couple of times and returned back into his normal routine of being confident.
"If Cross does do something....proper actions can be taken upon it and he'll find himself suspended again...or better yet, FIRED...yeah....yeah.....YEAH!" Lan said with an ever apparent cocky smile, quickly getting plasted on his face.
Starting the car, it wouldn't be long before Landon drove out of the neighboorhood and on his way out of Anaheim City Limits. All the way during his drive, he sung about how Slither would taste defeat for a third time and how Kyle Cross would be a non factor. One way or another, Landon was ready. Win or Draw, he was ready and nothing was going to stop him from keeping his title. Nothing....
