(The scene opens up in the back office of “The Best Gym” in Brick, New Jersey. The office seems to be in use right now, the lights are on and there are some papers laid out on the desk. You can see oddly that there is a black rolling suitcase standing up in the middle of the room and there is a suit bag hanging from the hook next to the back door. The back door flies open and panting a bit is Jason Lasky. His hair is all messed and he is sweating profusely as he pulls a white handkerchief out of his suit pocket and whips his brow.)
Jason Lasky: Luckily enough he’s late.
Showtime: You’re late fool.
(It seems that Jason couldn’t be any more wrong. Out from the back walks “Mr. Showtime” Mikey Wryght. He is wearing one of his black pinstriped designer suits with a red dress shirt underneath. He isn’t wearing a tie and the top few buttons are undone as he strolls out with a stern look upon his face, under his brown and gold aviators. He walks over to jason with that look of discontent as Jason just hangs his head in shame. Showtime just walks past him though and grabs the suitcase that was in the middle of the room, and proceeds to move it over towards the door next to the hanging suit bag.)
Showtime: You know that I hate to wait for you Jason.
Jason Lasky: Just for sake of argument, you make me wait all the time and I was only five minutes late.
(Showtime shoots Jason a look that could cut through glass. Making it abundantly clear that he didn’t appreciate the comment. He slowly walks over behind his desk and sits down in his big leather desk chair and leans back with his hands resting on his abdominal region. He lifts his right hand to gesture Jason to sit across from him. Jason sits and rests the briefcase that he had been holding on the floor next to the chair. Showtime still doesn’t look very happy as he places his hand back.)
Showtime: Now since you are done wasting my time with tardiness and excuses, we can get to business. You know very well that I have a plane to catch tonight.
Jason Lasky: Well I just asked to meet with you to see how the week of train had gone. For some reason the people at Pure Class have given you another chance at the International title and it all starts with your match against Byrd this week.
Showtime: Yes I know. I was quite surprised myself when I had heard that I was getting to face Phinehas again...But I need to know something. You didn’t push for me to be in this match right? I had made it very clear that I was not going to ask for this match. I had received the closure that was needed between the two of us at the last pay-per-view. It was only a matter of time that Pure Class put us back together in the ring. Every time that the two of us are in the ring together we rock the house.
Jason Lasky: It must have been that, that got you the shot at the title again for I never asked for the match. The only thing that I had to do with it was telling them that you would be involved, but what is more important is this week. Get the ball rolling to say, because Byrd is fighting for that same title.
Showtime: It’s funny that it comes down to facing the man that had helped in the loss of my last title.
Jason Lasky: You really didn’t care about that title anyways. You were happier that you lost it then when you won it. And if I’m not mistaken that helped to get rid of Benjamin Banks.
Showtime: Actually it did. I was pissed when they lost that belt but after my match with benny that night I was so happy that I forgot all about losing that title. But since I have said good thing about Byrd. He has done some good things since losing that belt, but it isn’t going to be enough to be able to top me.
(As Showtime was finishing up that statement in the back window you can see a pair of lights pulling up that belong to a limousine that is here to bring Showtime to the airport.)
Showtime: Jason I am going to take care of my business like I do, but since you were so late today I really must rap this up.
Jason Lasky: Five Minutes! I was only Five minutes late.
Showtime: Doesn’t matter grab my bag and put them in the limo.
Jason: Damn.
(Jason Lasky just hangs his head down in shame and grabs the bags. He follows Showtime out the door and the scene fades to black and cuts to snow.)
