[The scene opens with a view of a sunset in the distance. The beautiful coloring of oranges, reds and yellows supplying a fitting end to a similarly beautiful day beforehand.
A flock of birds flies past reasonably close to us. This suggests to us that we are high up and in the open air of the sky itself. We look down slightly to see the tops of a number of buildings standing out from the concrete jungle beneath. As the flock disappears we look further down and eventually see our current situation.
We are standing on top of a building that must be at least 7 stories tall. We look over the very short wall that marks the edge of the roof to see a dull abyss with the remnants of society barely visible with the flurry of cars mashed together in the evening rush hour.
We move back to look into the sunset only for the view to be blocked by the figure of a man standing infront of us. Due to the light shining straight at him we can see that the man is Non Compos Mentis, wearing a full black uniform of trousers, t-shirt and trainers. His hair is pulled back into a loose ponytail and his short beard is trimmed roughly to be reasonably presentable.
He walks slightly forward so that he can look over the edge as we just did. Showing no fear of heights, Mentis just stands and stares down, through the darkness, to the street below. This is all he does, he stands and looks insistently at the burnt asphalt below.]
Non Compos Mentis: What lurks beneath…
Beneath the darkness provided by the shadows of mankind’s own creation…
What sinister secrets does the human psyche hold that civilization is too scared to reveal…
Normality is only a point of view…
The points of view of those that reject this idea are warped… retarded…
They reject that some people have a different reality than others…
They reject that some people need to endure different trials…
Trials to test our bodies and minds… trials to test our souls…
Trials to test whether we are willing… to prove that our normality is worth fighting for…
Worth not giving up against those that reject them…
[Mentis begins to notice that a group is forming on the street by the building.]

WAIT… call the cops… YOUR GOING TO GET HELP…
Non Compos Mentis: That is the problem…
People who see people like me as wrong always want to help us…
To change us… make us into them…
It is societies reaction to other societies to make them like their own…
Look at America…
Our normality becomes lost… gradually we enter society… becoming another brick in the wall…
Eccentric… Alternative… Different people like me are a dying race…
Our whole culture of subculturalism is passing away…
It is with loners like myself that this culture of sorts continues…
Loners like Pegasus…
A near recluse… it is you that I have many parallels with… we seclude ourselves from society in an attempt to secure our way of life…
We fight off the temptations of society… And stay in ourselves…
THIS IS THE POLICE… STEP AWAY FROM THE EDGE…

They try to change us… but we continue on…
Fighting against adversity…
Fighting against those who cheat… They cheat to make sure we don’t make an impact on society… because we would destroy it…
When I was North American Champion… I promised that I would reign fire… sulphur… and Hell… down onto PCW…
I would resurrect the scene of Sodom and Gomorrah into modern day civilization…
I didn’t get that far… I was unable to take my revenge on society as I was attacked constantly from behind…
And now that pain is gone… The one that called himself Johnny Vivacious… Fired…
Now I can go on and bring back my chance to bring hell to PCW…
My reality requires this trial… my reality demands it…
You see… my normality is that I have always had to struggle against society and now it is time that I should fight back…
My chance to prove myself as a person and not a brick in the wall… my chance to prove that I am equal to everyone else and should not be held back…
It is only a shame that the powers that be see it fit that I should have to face up against one of the same people…
But as they try to take out one of us… one will prevail and go further towards their dreams…
I will prevail…
I will be that one…
I will beat Pegasus… I will prove that I am worth something… I will proceed towards my dreams…
[Mentis looks up and then turns his back towards the edge of the building.]

Which one of us will be willing to make that jump up…
The jump towards greater things than we have now…
The Leap of Faith…
The one of us that takes the chance and runs with it…
The Leap of Faith… It has been so long since I had faith in anything…
In myself… In religion…
Wait… Banks…
I had faith in Banks and he betrayed me… Just like ‘It’ said…
‘It’ told me he would do that…
‘It’ was right…
But how can it be…
I was so sure he could be trusted…
He said I had his word that he could be trusted…
What good that did…
At least Pegasus and I know what each other are like because we are of the same breed…
I know there will be mutual respect there…
But with Banks… we are different… he strives for success so he can be an icon…
I strive for success because I need it… for my soul…
I need to win because my sanity depends on it…
I need to win to ensure that I can live on as the person I am…

[Mentis steps back from the edge and walks away and out of our view. Seconds later we hear a door open and turn around quickly to see a fire door onto the roof swinging open.]

[The man then walks up to the edge and looks down.]
