I'll keep you my dirty little secret
Don't tell anyone
Or you'll be just another regret
Hope that you can keep it

[IPW, Impact Pro Wrestling, My home. I've been wrestling here for almost five years now, along with all the indie fed spots that I’ve put in. I’ve earned my dues as they say. It’s been a long path to where I am today, and that path isn’t going to stop going forward anytime soon. You see, I’ve finished earning all I can here in IPW. I’ve won the biggest title, I’ve beat the biggest names and I’ve proved over and over that as a girl, I can compete with any male put in front of me. But that isn’t enough is it? People still have to say to me, ‘What do you think you’re doing?’ and ‘This is a man’s sport’. Bullshit! This is a sport dominated by men that can just as easily be dominated by women if they have the thought process to think for themselves once in awhile. So here I am, sitting on a bench watching two of my fellow IPW friends spar in the ring, Carter Johnson, AKA Big Johnson, and Benson Riley, AKA Rocker Riley. And that guy in there helping them spar and refereeing their friendly match, he’s my mentor, Jay Charles. It looks like they are finally done and see me.]
Jay Charles- “Kylie, it’s good to see you back so soon. How did things go on the professional scene?”
Carter Johnson- “Yeah, you get that elusive contract you were talking about?”
Kylie Derfler- “As it seems I didn’t get it. It seems that they weren’t ready for a female wrestler of my type on their product.”
Benson Riley- “That’s code for ‘They didn’t think I could fulfill my contract since I’m a girl’.”
Jay Charles- “I’m sorry Kylie. I know how much you really wanted that contract. You are definitely good enough for any of the many professional joints across the world.”
[Benson and Carter then begins sparring again and messing around in the ring. They really aren’t paying any attention to Kylie at this point anymore. Kylie whispers to Jay]
Kylie Derfler- “Jay, I need to talk to you.”
Jay Charles- “Ok. Hold on a second.”
[Jay turns to yell at his two protégés]
Jay Charles- “Looks like Kylie can’t handle the pressure of losing out on the pros guys. I’m going to have to go console her. I’ll be back in a bit.”
[Kylie shoots Jay a disappointed look as he turns and climbs out of the ring. He signals for her to walk with him and the two head out of the gym into a hallway. They then walk the hallway of the vast IPW training center]
Kylie Derfler- “You know Jay; I really hate it when you talk down to me in front of them. You really encourage all the things they say that are driving me to be a better wrestler than the stereotype would say.”
Jay Charles- “Kylie, you know you have three times the skill those two do. Your ring work is light ages beyond anything that they are throwing down. There’s nothing to sweat about, I stroke their egos cause it makes them work harder, but they couldn’t hold a candle to you in the ring. You know that. You’re the only one in IPW to even receive a call up to the pros in the past ten years.”
Kylie Derfler- ”I know Jay, but still, I mean I want to prove that I am just as good as any guy, and you only make things worse when you act as if I’m not. I know if they were called to visit the pros and they got turned down, they would be balling like babies.”
Jay Charles- “That’s very true. Most of the guys on the IPW roster are babies. They all pretend to be all macho, but they really are just big girls on the inside. You are more guy than them I think.”
Kylie Derfler- “Listen Jay, I wanted you to walk with me, not to console me, but so that I could tell you the truth. The truth is, on my way to the PCW meeting I was thinking. I was thinking about how when I told the guys that I was going to PCW they told me I would never make it. They said that a girl would never be as good as a guy in the ring. They acted as if I didn’t have a prayer in the world. Now obviously I did. I was being called to PCW, the best of the best. But before I got to the meeting I thought to myself, what if they thought I was a guy. What if I wrestled as a guy for awhile and once I had achieved enough accolades as a male that people were giving me the respect I deserved, I showed them all my point all along the way. That I am just as good as any male on the roster, and probably BETTER than most.”
Jay Charles- “Wait a second, you are saying you are a member of the PCW roster?!”
Kylie Derfler- “I am telling you that Jay.”
Jay Charles- “Congratulations kiddo. That’s awesome. I’m stoked for you. But you are kidding about the wrestling as a guy thing right?”
Kylie Derfler- “No.”
Jay Charles- “Don’t you think people are going to realize that a beautiful girl like you is NOT a guy. Something tells me that there are going to be a lot of red flags on this.”
Kylie Derfler- “Not really. I talked to my friend, who is a hair dresser and he helped me out. He showed me how to do my makeup and gave me a wig that looks just like any other PCW wrestlers standard short haircut. And then all I have to do is tape up my chest, and voila. I’m a man baby.”
Jay Charles- “Seems like an awful lot of work Kylie, especially if they are giving you a contract anyways. You can do what you are trying to do by wrestling as yourself.”
Kylie Derfler- “True, but the shock won’t be as big that way. I want people to think, ‘Hey, that GUY is really good.’ And then when they realize I’m a girl think to themselves ‘Wow, that girl is amazing. Better than most of the guys even.’”
Jay Charles- “Well if that is what you want to do. I support that. I’m just really happy that another one of my kids made it to the pros. Congratulations again.”
Kylie Derfler- “Thank you so much Jay. I couldn’t have done it without you.”
Jay Charles- “You have all the skill. I just had to show you how to harness it. So you know when you are going to start?”
Kylie Derfler- “Sure do. My first match up is on Tuesday Trauma this coming week.”
Jay Charles- “That soon huh? Wow. Who are you fighting?”
Kylie Derfler- “Some guy named Anthony O Stewart. He’s new to PCW also. So it should be a pretty decent match up.”
Jay Charles- “You giving up a lot of weight to him?”
Kylie Derfler- “Actually, it’s not as bad as usual. The guy only weighs 198 pounds so I’m only down by 70 pounds.”
Jay Charles- “Not bad at all. What’s the guy’s move set like? What’s he like to do in the ring?”
Kylie Derfler- “Well according to his bio in the superstar guide they gave me for scouting. He’s more of a boxer type with submission mixed in there.”
Jay Charles- “Oh man Kylie, that’s the perfect match up for you. You keep moving like you always do and avoid his strikes, then you can hit him with some of your quick hit moves and once you get him tired move to your bigger stronger moves. Avoid his takedowns and submissions and you’re right on track for your first win in the PCW. Kylie Derfler goes 1-0”
Kylie Derfler- “Actually, I thought Kylie seemed very girlie for a guy wrestler. So I had to come up with a gimmick name instead, at least until I reveal my true identity. So I chose Kyle ‘Prime’ Time. Close enough to my real name, but far enough to seem very macho and manly.”
Jay Charles- “Kyle Time huh? That wouldn’t have been my first choice, but it seems good enough. So I talked all about your opponent, but how do you feel. Considering you’re my protégé. Was what I said you should do pretty much what you were thinking?”
Kylie Derfler- “Actually, it was. That’s why I knew all the information that I was telling you. I wanted to know what I needed to avoid and what weak points I could attack to use my attributes to their fullest. A girl like me trying to keep her girlish figure and still wrestle at the same level and higher than most guys gives up a lot of weight in nearly EVERY match. So I had to check that stuff out, you know? I am thinking the same thing you are thinking. Keep moving and wear him down.”
Jay Charles- “Sounds like a fool proof plan. Keep to that and you got it in the bag.”
Kylie Derfler- ‘I don’t know about the bag, but I’ll definitely have a good chance. It’s going to be a great debut for us both, but if I just put your patented Charles-Ton Training into effect, the guys GOTTA go down.”
Jay Charles- “It’s a fool proof plan most of the time. Find that weakness and exploit it.”
Kylie Derfler- “I’m sure it won’t be TOO hard with this guy. But yeah, I just wanted to come back and let you know where I am going to be most of the time now, even though I will still be training with you and the guys. I will have to be in Greensville, South Carolina most of my time now, but I will be making the big bucks now and I can come back often to work things out and continue my training getting better all the time.”
Jay Charles- “Well I’m sure a year from now the fans will be screaming your name as you hold high the PCW World Title in your hands.”
Kylie Derfler- “That will show everyone my point, but I don’t know that it will happen that fast. I’ve got an agenda with an open end to how long it will take. But I WILL prove my point and everyone will see. A girl can be as good as a guy. First person to unknowingly find out, Anthony O Stewart. I’ll show him, he’ll see.”
Jay Charles- “Well awesome. I’ll be tuning in to see the match”
Kylie Derfler- “Good. I’ll talk to you in a few days Jay.”
Jay Charles- “Later darling”
[With that Kylie hugs her mentor and then heads back down the hall towards the exit. Kylie now has to jump on a plane and head back to South Carolina. It’s time for some PCW Arena training time. That way people don’t start calling wondering where she is and snooping into who she really is. A secrets not a secret if you can’t keep it. And Kylie doesn’t want to spoil her surprise. So it’s time to head to the airport. The scene fades out.]
