Dearest Nana,
I miss you!!!! How are things at the old homestead? Sorry I haven’t been to visit you in awhile. The PCW is keeping me pretty busy. Remember how I said I might go back to finish college if things don’t work out? Well, I think things are going to be alright. So far, I fit in pretty well around here…even for a girl! And I’ve already made some new friends.
Wrestling isn’t the only thing that’s been keeping me busy. I also met a guy. His name is Garvey and he seems pretty wonderful, but I’m still trying to be as cautious as possible. We’ve been on four dates by now, and tonight we’re going out again. He’s so sweet; he hasn’t even tried to kiss me yet! But every time we go out, right before I leave he kisses my hand. I think he’s a keeper, Nana!!!
Garvey isn’t the only man in my life, haha. I also met a guy named Pete, but he’s just a little boy. We met on the bus one night. He’s only ten years old, and he was all by himself!!! Poor kid. His family doesn’t really seem to notice him at all, except for his big brother, who I haven’t met yet. Anyways, Pete and I spend a lot of time together now. He really likes my cat. Remember, Nana? The one I adopted before I moved here? I still haven’t named her yet, but she acts like royalty, so I’ll have to come up with a royal sort of name. Pete’s helping me think of suggestions. He spoils her!!! He’s always bringing her treats. The other day, he tried to feed her goldfish crackers because they look like cat food and they’re shaped like fish. Isn’t that adorable?!? You’ll have to meet him sometime. He’d love you.
I’m wrestling Brian “Atlas” McKnight tomorrow in a Genesis Rules Match. (That means a fifteen-minute time limit, no count-out, and that all falls must occur in the ring.) I’m a little nervous, Nana. He weighs 260 lbs, and he’s over 6 feet tall. He just beat Pegasus last week, and Pegasus is no loser. That man’s got heart. Rumor has it that McKnight is a chauvinistic pig, but I’m not too worried about that aspect. We both know I’ve dealt with men like that before, unfortunately. I guess what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, right? Well, McKnight’s biggest weakness is his ego. If I can use that against him, I just might be able to gain the upper hand. Someone’s got to teach McKnight that women are more than just beautiful, obedient pieces of flesh!!! (I know you’re chuckling, Nana, but I mean it!!!)
Anyways, I better go get ready for my date with Garvey. Wish me luck!
P.S. I’ll come to visit you soon.
With Love,
Emily DuPrae
