Caught
'Do you think he's actually thought about what I've wanted him to think about yet; being cooped up in there for the last three week, and all?' A voice asked as I occupied in an unknown vehicle, in an unknown location, around an unknown group of people. All I knew at this point was the sound of the tires on the road, and the voices that were speaking around me. There was also a muffled whine, maybe like a female crying only with a gag in her mouth or something. I was unable to move, though, and I couldn't even begin to open my eyes at this point. In fact, I hadn't felt this way since the one and only time I had stooped so low to buy some random drugs from someone off the street, just a few days after my parents had kicked me out of the house. That was a long time ago, though.
Laying there, or maybe I was sitting, the numbness going through my body didn't allow me to know any better, another voice spoke. 'You would think that he had some sort of thoughts going through his mind. It's human nature, when in situations such as this, to think of how to get out, things you'll miss if you don't, and those loved one who already miss you, and will miss you more if you don't make it.' The voice said as the other person who had spoken earlier chuckled.
As I continued to listen to the various sounds going on around me, I struggled to get at least one eye open, but it was impossible. I must have been heavily drugged, and not only that, but whoever continued to do this managed to get said drugs into my system without me ever knowing it was happening. The conversation between the two males had ceased at this point as the muffled whine I heard earlier returned, only louder this time. A smack was shortly followed after, and the whine went away, but the first voice I heard returned. 'You'll get your turn to talk later. Everyone knows you have so much to say to the loser. I thought breaking into your home and kicking the shit out of both of you, getting him into trouble, and making you think he did it, would have pretty much sent both of you so far into depression that this wouldn't have needed to happen, that's obviously not the case. Wrestling boy over there found it upon himself to continue to be all high and mighty and continue getting into the ring, and you, well you just found out too God damn much!' The voice spoke as the slight whimper was heard again.
Trying to open my eyes, or move, as I knew it was Lindsay in the vehicle with us, I could only muster up a slight groan that sent the two in the vehicle with us into a panic. The second voice was the first to speak. 'Quick, get the needle!' The man shouted.
All I remember was the prick of a needle digging into my right shoulder, and the sound of Lindsay screaming through whatever they had stuffed in her mouth, keeping her gagged. The sound of the first voice I heard after waking up was heard as I passed back out. This time, it seemed more familiar than before. 'You mean to tell me the fuck woke up?'
--------------------------------------
As my eyes opened slightly, closing, and then opening again, as I winched in pain from my throbbing head, most likely from dosage of drugs I had been injected with, I found myself back in my cell. This time, must like before, in the same spot of the puzzle I had left off. I was un-cuffed, but the lack of light that I had before was back to being even less than a lack of light as the small strand of Christmas lights blinked on and off.
Standing up, and finally getting my eyes all the way opened, my sense of hearing did not fail me as I heard the sound of the static that I have all but waited for every week while being in here. Slightly remembering in the vehicle on the way here, I could only wait to hear the sound of her sweet voice. I knew better than for it to be the first thing I heard, so without trying to pay attention, I began my search about the room for my next clue.
While the static continued, I stumbled upon a small pile of rock in one of the corners, one that was near invisible while just looking around. As I moved the rocks about, I unveiled a small lock box, one that I struggled to open, and wouldn't even break open as I tried smashing it on the ground, and against the walls. The static went away, and the voice that was nothing like either of the ones I heard in the vehicle, the one that definitely had some sort of device altering the way it sounded, returned. 'So, Justin, I see you've found your next clue. But how are you going to get to it? Remember what I've told you previous? Use...' The voice stated, but I wasn’t about to listen to him any longer.
'Listen here you sick fuck, or sick fucks, however many of you there are! I've been in here long enough! I don't know what point you are trying to prove, or if you are trying to get me to do something you should no better than to try and get me to do! But one thing, the only thing, you are going to need to know, if I never stopped caring for myself, my career, or Lindsay!' I blurted as I continued to bash the seemingly indestructible metal lock box up against everything I possibly could. 'Oh, and I remember what your stupid little hint said. I will find the next clue in the back of my mind, I damn well remember!' I shouted as I motioned to the back of my head as if it meant the back of my mind.
Funny enough, as I reached back there, I found something stuck in my hair, and I pulled it out, noticed it to be a bobby pin. 'Good job on using the back of your mind Justin; you are just one step away from getting to the next step.' The voice said over the speaker.
Shaking my head as I used the bobby pin to pick the lock on the lock box, the strand of blinking Christmas lights stopped flashing. In fact, after they stopped flashing, a few more strands of lights turned on, making it the brightest it's ever been in the cell before. 'This has got to be the stupidest thing anyone has ever thought up. It's like a cheap remake of a good horror movie or something. Whoever you are, when I get out of here, you better make sure you are far, far away from me, and anyone I care about. You think you are putting me through Hell, just fucking wait!' I yelled as I opened the lock box to find nothing but a strip of paper that read, "Look with your eyes shut." I laughed as I looked around the room. I bellowed my thoughts out loud once more. 'I'm tired of all this. Not getting to live my life! I'm tired of my lack of energy, my lack to perform inside of the squared circle. I'm tired of not getting to be with Lindsay. So you listen to me, I'm done here! I don't care if it kills me, I will find away to outsmart you, to get away from you, to either get out of this place, or never come back. You hear me?' I asked.
The static over the speaker continued. I looked in the now brighter cell for what I was, or wasn't, supposed to look for next. The static soon went away, and was filled with the sounds of a female's cry. 'Justin!' Lindsay murmured. 'Please!' She yelled.
Shaking my head, I yelled back, not sure if she could hear me or not. 'Please, what? What babe, what?!' I asked, and yelled, back.
The crying continued. 'Please!' She said back again in just enough time before the sound stopped coming from the speaker.
I let out a long and loud yell, coming from the bottoms of my lungs; every ounce of air in my body was released as I released my anger. It was all I could do, though, as it sunk in that they still had her, and I didn't know what they were doing to her, I fell to my knees. 'Damn it!' I then crumbled up the piece of paper that came from the lock box, and threw it to the ground.
