PCW Trauma: 95
Tuesday, June 21, 2011
Live on E! from the Pure Class Arena in Greenville, South Carolina
Poker Time with Grimm & Sadistic
Details: (The opening of Trauma 95 starts cold, as the PCW-Tron cuts to the backstage area where the Bearded Brothers of Brutality, Phinehas Grimm and Billy Sadistic, are found seated at their poker table. Already in the "pot" are a pair of well-worn swashbuckler's boots, a golden coin in mint condish, and a circa 1840s globe in enthralling shades of tan and brown. Just as the Lord of Misrule is about to place a wager there is a sharp rap at the makeshift door. Both sets of eyes wander to the crooked door in the uneven frame.)
Sadistic: WHO GOES THERE?!
Mel Lombardi: It's me. Mel. With rare items.
(Grimm and Sadistic glance at each other before eventually shrugging.)
Sadistic: You may enter.
(After a slight struggle Mel is able to force the door and enter the festivities. The stout curtain jerker pulls up a chair and waits as Phinehas wins the pot. Mel is dealt into the next hand as Billy excuses himself to...)
Sadistic: ...use the restroom.
(Playing a little heads up, Grimm somehow manages to talk Mel into balancing a thick encyclopedia atop his large head. Phinehas calls Mel's wager of a glass eye with a fish in it by betting an authentic civil war era cannon ball. As all of this high stakes action is taking place, Sadistic can be spotted sneaking in with a heavy brass statue clutched in his hands. With Mel still balancing the thick tome on top of his head, Sadistic raises the heavy statue above his head. Ready to strike. And then they hear the knocking at the door.
All three men look at the door, Sadistic's eyes wide like a deer caught in the headlights. Before anyone can speak, Justin "Stormm" Michaels barges in. The fans can be heard booing from the cheap seats.)
Justin Michaels: It's like Vegas for Gypsies in here! Gambling for rare items and such... I think I've got just the buy in.
(Stormm dumps the PCW World Championship belt onto the foldout table with all the care of an airline baggage handler. Sadistic has moved away from Lombardi and returned to his chair...still clutching his precious statue. Although the brothers clearly dislike Stormm's disrespectful demeanor, the championship belt is nothing to shake a stick at.)
Grimm: I think we can accommodate you...
(Without asking, Michaels takes a seat at the table as Phinehas deals him in. An old baseball glove, a valuable Rolex watch, a suit of chain mail armor, and a bagel bearing an uncanny resemblance to Ace Anderson's ugly mug have all found their way into the center of the table. After the first round of bets, the Brothers Gruesome graciously bow out. Michaels and Lombardi are left. As the final card is flipped Mel decides to check.)
Justin Michaels: Eh, what the Hell...
(And he pushes his shiny championship belt into the center of the table. Mel's eyes glimmer at the thought of owning PCW's grandest prize as he glances from his hand to the belt. Does he have a good enough hand? He's not sure, but this is an opportunity too sweet to pass on. After a heavy sigh of deliberation the shortstack reaches behind his head and unlatches a necklace. He gently places what looks to be a fine, handcrafted amulet into the "pot.")
Mel Lombardi: It's my most cherished possession. Passed down through six generations of Lombardis. It's all I have left. Surely grammy will understand.
Sadistic: Show 'em, boys.
(Lombardi lays his cards showing a full house: three queens and two kings. The Phenom can't believe it. What a fantastic hand! Phinehas chuckles mildly to himself. A hint of rage flashes in Justin's eye as he lays both cards down, one stacked atop the other. It's a king, giving him a three of a kind...three kings. Mel's eyes are the size of saucers as he stands, tears beginning to well from happiness. Until Justin slides the top card to the side, revealing another king below...)
Justin Michaels: Four of a kind! Just like your debut match here, you lose again.
(Again the fans' boos echo throughout the Pure Class Arena. Michaels simply sneers. Mel attempts to retrieve the heirloom but Stormm is quicker. As he pulls his winnings toward him, Michaels accidentally drops the amulet onto the concrete floor. There is an audible crack and Mel can only gasp.)
Justin Michaels: Well damn!
(As he goes to retrieve his prize, he clumsily steps onto the amulet. This time it does more than just crack. Scooping up what's left of the necklace, Stormm cockily tosses it in the direction of the Dillingers.)
Justin Michaels: Can you believe that? My balance must be off or something. I've got no need for this piece of crap anyway, so you guys can go ahead and fight over it.
(Looking down at the Rolex watch he's just slipped back onto his wrist, Justin snags the World Championship belt.)
Justin Michaels: Well would ya look at the time? I've got more important matters to attend to.
(And just like that, Michaels stormms out of view not even bothering to use the door which he left hanging wide open. Mel's lip quivers uncontrollably as tears stream down his cheeks. Grimm & Sadistic's eyes burn with rage. Sure, they might break a neck every now and again, but that was just bastardly.)
Match One: Singles Match
Sadistic (Tag Team ©) vs. Nacho Grande
Referee: Joseph Buckland
Match Details: The masses packing the Pure Class Arena go ballistic when referee Joseph Buckland enters to officiate the first match of the night. As he confers with the timekeeper, scenes from the horrendous tag battle at Trauma 94 flash across the PCW-Tron. On the screen, Nacho Grande suffers the Sword of Heimdall AND the Harvest, and responds by busting the elder Brother WIDE open with the 2AM Drive Thru on a steel chair. Now that everyone is caught up, the Fast Food Fiend himself appears amid a shower of sparks and proceeds to break it down like it’s never been broken before. The PCW faithful are behind the Low Wage Luchador one hundred percent and are hanging tough right along with him…
And then the curtains twitch and a dark shape materializes behind Nacho Grande.
The masked man freezes, confused as to why his standing ovation has turned into a cacophony of jeers, not realizing the brutal and sadistic… um, Sadistic has crept silently up behind him! With a chair in his hand and a gruesome rictus on his face, Billy waits until Nacho turns around and then headbutts him between the eyes! Nacho Grande staggers, momentarily stunned, and Sadistic swings the chair sideways. It cracks across Nacho’s back, and the crowd groans as the luchador is driven to his knees by the force of the blow. The Carnivore of Hardcore throws down the chair and prepares to get payback for the last event with the Sadistic DDT! He smiles nastily at the horrified fans, but the Nachomaster slugs Billy in the gut and escapes the predicament via a backdrop on the stage! Sadistic is down, but Nacho collapses to all fours, clutching his back.
Referee Buckland shouts futile orders, but neither man is paying him any mind at all. Sadistic recovers and drops an elbow across the back of the luchador’s neck. Nacho slugs him in the gut and fights back to his feet. The men trade blows on the stage, until Sadistic gets the upper hand and sends Nacho Grande tumbling down the ramp. Billy retrieves the chair and goes after his prey, but Nacho leaps to the barrier and dropkicks it into Sadistic’s face! Nacho presses the attack and gets a thumb in the eye for his trouble. Sadistic cinches in a waistlock and executes a nasty belly-to-belly suplex on the ramp! He catches up to Nacho at the bottom and introduces his face to the guardrail in an extremely rude manner. Sadistic goes to repeat the move on the other side of the aisle, but the luchador finds the reserves to get his boot up and block it, and it’s Billy who finds out what steel tastes like! Alas, Nacho only keeps from collapsing by holding the rail for dear life.
At this point, Buckland gives up and calls for the bell, not to start the match but in a vain attempt to end it. This one’s been thrown out before it officially began!
Winner(s): No Contest
And The Beat Goes On
Details: The battle rages on and the men brawl all the way around ring, ignoring the referee and the incessantly ringing bell. The Carnivore chooses his moment and gets off a Russian leg sweep, crushing the back of Nacho’s head into the ring steps! Nacho may be knocked out cold! Now - LONG after the match has been called a no contest - Nacho is rolled into the ring. Billy Sadistic retrieves his favorite weapon and climbs through the ropes, pointing to his fallen adversary and making a neck-snapping motion with his hands!
Before Sadistic can enact his malevolent plan, the aptly named Big Dave Brandt rushes the ring with a small army of officials and security personnel in tow! It looks like there might just be enough of them to restore order when Nacho dodges through the crowd and tackles the tag champ, bringing him down to the mat with a flurry of blows! Finally, the combined efforts of three people pull Nacho away and three more keep Sadistic from retaliating. The security crew struggles desperately to keep the men apart as the crowd boos and the feed goes to commercial.
Match Two: Triple Threat Match
Usali Basilisk vs. The Watcher vs. “Grandmaster” Glyn Speight
Referee: Melina Cruz
Match Details: The next match sees the debut of ‘Grandmaster’ Glyn Speight but he has it all to do against The Watcher and ‘The Grand High Exalted One’ Usali Basilisk. After Speight makes his way to the ring he is joined by The Watcher who enters to ‘Take A Bow’ by Muse and the leader of the Ascension to ‘Holding Out For A Hero’. As all three men are in the ring, the referee signals to ringside and the match begins.
Nobody makes any sudden actions at first but soon this changes as Grandmaster makes the mistake of attempting to punch Usali in the face, clearly not noticing his Ceremonial mask still in place. Usali takes quick advantage and nails an elbow before whipping Speight across the ring, only for him to collide with Watcher who has barely moved. As both men try to recover from the collision, Basilisk jumps high and nails a standing dropkick to the back of Speight that knocks him into Watcher and sends both tumbling to the outside. Usali lands on his feet with remarkable agility and immediately throws himself over the top rope with a huge Crossbody on both men who had barely recovered.
Sliding Watcher back into the ring, Basilisk attempts to whip him into the ropes but is reversed. As Usali rebounds he receives a boot to the midsection and Watcher looks to lock up for a suplex attempt. He hauls Usali up and nails one, then rolls through in an attempt for another…and hits that one too. Rolling through for a third suplex, Watcher tries to lift Usali but is blocked. Hitting a couple of shots to the midsection, Usali forces Watcher to release and then hits the ropes, nailing a beautiful running Hurricanrana on the return.
Finally Glyn Speight gets back into the ring and rushes forward with an attempted clothesline but Usali ducks and again hits the ropes. As both men rush at each other Usali reacts first and leaps up, hitting a High Leg Clothesline. Both men get up quickly but Speight is stunned and easy prey for Usali who nails a sick Brainbuster in the middle of the ring. As he stands, Usali is clubbed in the back by Watcher who looks to hit a Snap Powerbomb straight away. He lifts Basilisk onto his shoulders but as he attempts to slam him into the mat Usali reverses into another Hurricanrana that sends Watcher across the ring.
Once both men recover, Usali rushes as Watcher, grabs his head and uses the turnbuckles to run up and rotate himself back around before hitting a shuddering Tornado DDT that sends Watcher rolling to the outside. Seeing Glyn still down in the middle of the ring, Usali takes his opportunity and scales that same turnbuckle. He scouts Grandmaster for a moment before throwing himself off and nailing The Ascension Dive, knocking Speight unconscious with his silver mask. Three-counts of the mat later, at the 9 minute and 23 second mark, Usali Basilisk picks up the win.
Winner(s): Usali Basilisk d. The Watcher & Glyn Speight after Usali pins Glyn
Match Three: North American Championship Match
Non Compos Mentis © vs. Tyrone “Crazy Boy” Smith
Referees: Eddie Lane
Match Details: The North American championship is on the line for the second time in as many events, as Non Compos Mentis faces PCW’s resident tattooed hooligan, Tyrone “Crazy Boy” Smith. The arena is pumped full of smoke and 10000 Watts of Artificial Pleasure, and the challenger enters to a thunderous ovation and chants of “LET’S GO CRAZY!” Smith is determined to be the defending champion in the upcoming Rumble for the Gold, and the crowd seems to like that idea just fine.
Speaking of crazy, the chime of a bell announces the champion, who enters sporting a whole new do – or lack thereof. Non Compos Mentis’ familiar, matted locks have been crudely shorn off and his eyes burn with an uncharacteristic… passion? Focus? Determination? Could be a lot of things, and the reigning champion even holds the belt aloft for the crowd before shoving it into the hands of Eddie Lane. Crazy Boy, for his part, seems as taken aback as everyone else in the arena.
Smith goes for a lockup, and the men struggle back and forth until Mentis shoves his opponent to the mat in a display of raw power. Crazy Boy is back on his feet in a flash and engages the champion again, and this time is almost shoved out of the ring. A third tie up ends in a crushing body slam, and Mentis stands with his arms outstretched as Smith breaks off the attack to rethink his strategy. Crazy Boy floats over another slam attempt and runs the champion into the ropes. Mentis grabs hold and throws him off, but Smith does a backward roll and dropkicks the champion in the back of the head! Mentis goes tumbling out of the ring to the floor, and Smith follows him out the hard way, via a high-flying cross body press!
Pressing his advantage, the Crazy one – well, one of the crazy ones anyway – goes to work on the champion on the outside with elbow and knee. Smith introduces Mentis’ face to the ring apron, rolls him inside, and climbs the turnbuckles. The champion regains a vertical base as Smith takes to the air. CRAZY DROP! The crowd goes wild as Smith hooks the leg. One… Two… NO! The endurance of Non Compos Mentis borders on the supernatural. Smith takes it to the mat to wear down the champion, and Mentis suffers punishing locks and a one arm DDT! Another cover; One… Two… still not enough. Crazy Boy to the turnbuckles and he takes to the air… HUGE frog splash! One… Two… Thr… NO!
The crowd groans in disappointment as Smith slams the mat in frustration. What is it going to take to keep the champion down? Maybe a Crazy Spin will do the trick. Smith slams his opponent to the mat and goes up top to take flight once more… NO! Mentis sits up at the last second and Smith crashes into the mat just inches behind him!
With a howl of insane rage, Mentis seizes two fists full of Crazy Boy’s hair and smashes his face into the canvas hard enough to knock it off his skull. Crazy Boy struggles desperately to rise, possibly blinded, probably with both knees blown from the missed Crazy Spin. Mentis comes off the ropes and goes into a baseball slide, driving his elbow right into his opponent’s jaw! Smith’s head snaps back under the force of the Psychotic Break, and Mentis throws himself across the challenger. One… Two… Three!
Tyrone recovers just in time to see the North American Champion exit the ring, strap in hand. Non Compos Mentis stops on the entrance ramp, his arms outstretched in grim victory as Smith slams his hand on the turnbuckle in anger and frustration. The Born Psycho has won this round, but the Crazy One has three words for him that are audible even without a microphone – Return To Glory.
Winner(s): Non Compos Mentis via pinfall
Pep-talk with The Grand Exalted One
Details: (In the back stage area tensions are running high. Chris Areas paces as his match grows ever closer, waiting for the man that had placed him in this predicament. He had made it known that he was unhappy with the leader of "The Ascension" for getting him mixed up with, yet again, one of the most dangerous men in PCW.)
Basilisk: Thank you for meeting me my brother.
(Areas turns to see "The Grand High Exalted One" Usali Basilisk appear from the shadows, followed by his brother Jacob.)
Areas: I'm not sure why you chose now to call this secret meeting, but we are running out of time. Justice is to be served.
Basilisk: That is why I am here. We may not agree on everything, especially what the definition of justice is, but Lantlas is most deserving. I also agree with you, that it is I that has put you in your current position and I will do everything that I can to assist you. That is why I have decided that I will be accompanying you to the ring this evening.
(This news comes to Areas as quite a shock, and once he is able to wipe the expression off of his face, it changes to one of anger.)
Areas: That is not necessary. This may be your entire fault but I can fight my own battles.
Basilisk: Brother please, I am not to blame for the path we have been placed on. Destiny has chosen us to rid the world of evil, and nothing at hand has shown to be viler than the blue hair Elven Warrior. He is a wicked beast and he must pay for his sins.
Area: I haven't forgotten that we are on the same side here and I agree that Lantlas must pay for his evil deeds, but that doesn't change the fact that I don't need your help to defeat him.
Basilisk: Your confidence is great my friend, but that doesn't change the magnitude of the match at hand. If you will allow me I would like to accompany you to the ring.
(Areas pauses and Usali doesn't dare comment until Areas has a chance to reply. Jacob looks from man to man, the tension ever surmounting.)
Areas: I appreciate the offer. But I want to do this one on my own.
Basilisk: As you wish. Be careful. The Elven One packs a mighty fury that must be dealt with.
Areas: And I'm just the man to do it.
(And with that, the feed fades out to commercial.)
Match Four: Singles Match
Lantlas vs. Areas
Referee: Roberto Garcia
Match Details: Up next is ‘The Elven Warrior’ Lantlas against the up and coming Areas. Areas walks out to the ring to ‘Outsider’ by A Perfect Circle for perhaps the biggest challenge of his PCW career and seems determined to make an impact if his facial expression is anything to go by. He is followed by Lantlas who receives a less than welcoming reception from the fans as they boo and jeer, but it doesn’t seem to irritate him at all. Once both men are in the ring Areas takes a rather unexpected step and standing up to the former World Champion defiantly, staring into his eyes and giving the crowd cause for anticipation.
The referee rings the bell but neither man reacts immediately, instead they remain in this stare down. That is until Lantlas shoves Areas backward toward the ropes to a chorus of boos from the fans. Areas reacts by jumping forward and engaging in a collar and elbow tie up. Both men vie for control but Lantlas uses his superior height and weight to force Areas backwards into the corner. He doesn’t release and the referee begins his five count, reaching four and a half before Lantlas fin-ally releases. As he does, Areas responds with a shove of his own that surprised Lantlas enough for him not to be able to react fast enough to a series of forearm shots that force him all the way back to the ropes.
Areas whips Lantlas across the ring and drops his head but The Elven Warrior jumps over him and attempts a sunset flip. Somehow Areas rolls through and gets to his feet before hitting a boot to the face and goes straight to the ropes. There he springs off the middle and goes for a Lionsault but Lantlas rolls out of the way and Areas improvises in mid-air to land on his feet. Shocked by the offensive flurry, Lantlas takes a moment to take stock as Areas looks extremely confident.
Getting back to his feet, Lantlas seems to want another collar and elbow tie up, but as the two engage in this once more he changes his fickle elven mind and nails a knee to the midsection instead. The crowd boo wildly but Lantlas doesn’t seem to care as he nails a succession of brutal step kicks to Areas’ chest, finishing with one that knocks him all the way down to the mat.
On the mat, Lantlas locks in a variation of an abdominal stretch and Areas struggles to escape but can’t. Adding insult to injury, the Elf grinds his elbow into the exposed ribs of Areas as the referee asks for a submission. Areas sends him away and tries to fight back, managing to free an arm and use it to nail a series of elbows to Lantlas’ ribs instead. Areas fights his way back to his feet only to be stopped by another blunt knee to the midsection that drops him to a knee. Not satisfied, Lantlas delivers a lightning fast kick to the back of Areas’ head that put him straight down on the canvas before the Elven Warrior pins.
One…
Two….
NO!
Areas gets his shoulder up and Lantlas immediately pulls him up to his feet. The wrestling elf unleashes a combo of elbows to the head that stun Areas before he whips him across the ring. On the rebound, Lantlas hits a Japanese Armdrag but Areas gets straight back to his feet and rushes back. Lantlas reacts quickly and hits another Armdrag of the Japanese variety but still Areas reaches his feet in an instant. Coming forward again, Areas expects another Armdrag but Lantlas opts for a drop toe hold instead. Falling face first into the mat, Areas is defenceless as the elf jumps into the air and nails a brutal Double Stomp right between the shoulder blades. Lantlas rolls Areas over and pins again.
One…
Two….
TH…NO!
Lantlas looks frustrated as he pulls Areas back to his feet. Straight away he looks to finish the match and lifts Areas up onto his shoulders in preparation for The Flame of the West. Areas digs deep and plants an elbow straight into the pointy ear of Lantlas, freeing himself and dropping to his feet behind the elf. Once there he locks up his arms in an attempted Dragon Suplex but the lanky Lantlas resists and reverses behind into a Dragon Suplex of his own.
Even with his extra height and leverage Lantlas can’t hit the move and Areas also reverses behind, this time ending up back-to-back. Locking up arms, Areas attempts a backslide but he still can’t overpower the giant elf who goes for one of his own. Areas fights with his feet off the ground and kicking, and as Lantlas gives up he uses the extra momentum of being dropped to pull Lantlas over with a sick Backslide Driver. Lantlas lands head over heels and Areas jumps on him for a pin.
One…
Two….
TH…NO!
Stunned and surprised again, Lantlas gets to his feet and only just sees Areas rushing at him and is able to get out of the way, sending Areas sternum first into the top turnbuckle. Gathering his senses once more, Lantlas turns and throws his arrow-like body into the ribs of Areas with a hard-hitting Spear, dropping him into a seated position. The pointy-eared one picks himself up and uses the corner to spring up and lands a huge Dropkick into the chest, driving all the wind out of his body.
Pulling Areas out of the corner, Lantlas looks to take to the sky and begins to climb the turnbuckle. Slowly Areas recovers in the middle of the ring and sees Lantlas launch himself off the top with a Missile Dropkick. Instinctively, Areas dives out of the way and watches his opponent crash and burn. Lantlas tries to get to his feet but while he’s on his knees Areas hits a devastating Superkick to the unprotected head of the elf and pins.
One…
Two…
THREE!
NO!
Lantlas only just gets his shoulder up and Areas has to ask the referee if it was a three or not. Disappointedly, Areas sees the referee signal two and seeks to put the match away for an impressive victory. He hauls the large frame of Lantlas to his feet and sets up for the Asai DDT. He lifts himself into the air and goes to rotate himself to hit the Identity Theft but Lantlas manages to push him over so that he lands on his feet behind him. In desperation, Lantlas lashes out with a solebutt that catches Areas suspiciously close to the gonad region but the referee is out of position to see it.
Lantlas sees his opportunity and lifts Areas into a powerbomb position before dropping him face first into the mat with the Elvish Tale. Flat out on the canvas, Areas can’t block The Elven Marksmanship as it is locked in tight by the Elvish one. The referee asks Areas for a submission but he resists, trying to fight out of it but Lantlas’ grip is too tight. After a few moments Areas can’t fight the pain any longer and taps out after an impressive, but ultimately losing performance.
Winner(s): Lantlas d. Areas via submission
An Immortal Challenge
Details: (After the match, "The Grand High Exalted One" Usali Basilisk is quick to rush to ringside and enter the ring to make sure that Lantlas doesn't take any liberties of extending the action past the bell. Usali makes his way to the center if the ring and extends his arms outward and addresses the arena.)
Basilisk: Lantlas!
(His voice booms through the arena, even though he isn't holding a microphone. Not that he needed to be addressed, for Lantlas was already staring through Usali with his cold eyes.)
Basilisk: Lantlas, you are the most heinous of traitors and must pay for your sins. You have taken the many gifts you have been blessed with and have turned them against society.
(The crowd is going wild as the rain cheers upon their hero. Lantlas just stands there, listening and waiting, not being fazed in the slightest.)
Basilisk: Once PCW's greatest hero, you now stand before us as a vile creature. A being that disgraces itself, by using all of it's powers to rein in only evil. You are a great warrior, and I do not deny that, but someone must take a stand against you and I happily accept.
Jerry Andrews: Wow this guy is a fan of punishment.
Al Laiman: First the Gruesome twosome and now the Elven Warrior!
(Just when you thought the fans couldn't get any louder, they once again prove you wrong. As the building of a challenge they erupt into a frenzy, beginning to chant their hero's name.)
Basilisk: I have done much research into who you claim to be, and what you had once stood for. I know what you have been capable of and fear what you are currently. We all know that your viciousness has been building and it is only a matter of time before you destroy that which is irreplaceable. That is why, at Return to Glory, I challenge you Lantlas.
(The sound of the arena is deafening and finally Lantlas makes some sort of movement, as he slowly nods his head.)
Basilisk: Now I understand that I may not be able to but you down for good, but I can at least try to put mankind's worries to rest that your reign of terror will, at least one day come to an end. For at Return to Glory I don't only challenge you to a match, but I also challenge you for your immortality.
Al Laiman: Can you even do that?
Basilisk: I know what it means better than most, not to be human. At least not fully, and I have not been blessed with the same gift as you and my father. But being a Dreeup, will allow me to harness such a great power and allow me to make sure that you will not be terrorizing mankind for all eternity.
(The fans pop once again as their hero has declared his war on the Elven Warrior. The feed then fades into a commercial.)
Match Five: Tag Team Match
LoKi (World ©) & “The Adrenaline King” Justin Kaard vs. Justin “Stormm” Michaels & High Tide
Referee: Steve Shaw
Match Details: High Tide and Michaels are out first and their greeting from the PCW Faithful is less than pleasant. Michaels has a cocky smirk on his face and a recently-wagered World Championship belt over his shoulder; while he is the owner of said belt he is not the champion. And High Tide is...well, High Tide is a pirate! Settling in the ring, the dastardly pairing awaits their opponents for the night.
Kaard rushes out from the back first to a mild wave of cheers. When the World Champion emerges from the back the fans let out a roar! LoKi, sans belt, has his eyes locked on his championship...and Stormm...for the duration of his walk to the ring.
LoKi and High Tide start the competition and it's the newcomer that looks impressive in the opening minutes. After a surprising debut victory over the World Champion two weeks ago High Tide presses the action against his foe. Catching Tide by surprise by a lariat LoKi quickly makes the tag to his partner. Kaard pounces into the ring and is a ball of fire...for about ten seconds. High Tide nearly rearranges Kaard's dental plan with a jumping heel kick before tagging in Justin Michaels.
It's clear the fans hate Stormm as soon as he steps through the ropes. He goes to work giving Kaard a proper welcoming to PCW. As he's doing this, LoKi takes advantage of Stormm's distraction and hops down off the ring apron. Rounding the ring LoKi latches onto the World Championship and jumps the guardrail into the crowd. The place is going bananas and Michaels quickly realizes that something is amiss.
Spotting LoKi barreling through the crowd with his title, Stormm promptly tags out and dives through the crowd after him. All eyes are on the high speed chase in Section J of the Pure Class Arena. It's not until High Tide flips off the top rope that the fans realize he's just planted Kaard with a breathtaking shooting star DDT! Three seconds later and at the 9 minute 19 second mark, this one is in the books.
Winner(s): High Tide & Justin Michaels via pinfall after High Tide pins Justin Kaard
Champion to Champion
Details: (The cameras move to the backstage area and the corridor that houses all the locker rooms of the wrestlers. For a moment there is nothing there but a selection of packing crates and cables but soon a figure brushes back the side of the camera and walks down the corridor. The man is wearing a dark blue denim jacket and denim shorts with a black t-shirt underneath. His badly cut short brown hair shakes until the man stops and turns to the side. For the first time his face can be seen and it is unmistakably Non Compos Mentis, only with a new yet similarly scruffy hair style to what people are accustomed to.
The North American Champion can now be seen to be wearing his championship belt underneath his jacket and is taking deep breathes as if calming himself. Moving around to his back again, the camera sees the name written on the door and the man NCM is psyching himself up to confront. The name is Heavy Metal. Mentis seems to be uncharacteristically calm as he extends his arm and pushes the door open.
Taking a few steps into the room, NCM sees Heavy Metal sitting and finishing up his preparations for his upcoming match. He is wearing his ring gear with a pair of flash sunglasses balancing on the bridge of his nose. Hearing the steady steps toward him, Heavy Metal lifts his head and sees Mentis approaching. Wary of this advance he stands up and is about to speak when Mentis lifts his hand to signify he has something more important to say. Both men seem tense and unsure how to react, especially unusual for the typically chilled out International Champion.)
Non Compos Mentis: After what I said at Game Over I know I’m probably one of the last people you wanted to see tonight.
(Roth slowly lifts his own hand a removes the sunglasses from his face so that he can truly stare eye-to-eye with the Born Psycho. He looks cautious and unsure whether to allow Mentis to speak or to tell him to get the hell out of his room.)
Non Compos Mentis: I just came here to say I’m sorry for calling you as crooked as those rats Lane and Marshall. I wasn’t myself, and I realise now you and I are both victims here.
(There is still no meaningful reaction from Heavy Metal who is still in his wary stance. He relaxes slightly but is clearly watching for any sudden movement or attack from the notoriously unpredictable Mentis. The only movement that occurs, however, is NCM slowly backing off toward the door.)
Non Compos Mentis: We don’t have to be enemies, we’re on the same side.
(NCM moves back through the door, still keeping his eyes on Heavy Metal who maintains his own steely gaze. In a second, Mentis turns and leaves down the corridor he came from, leaving Heavy Metal pondering what had happened and if he can trust his unexpected visitor.)
Money Helps
Details: (...Following the exchange between NCM and Heavy Metal, the PCW-Tron switches over to a different part of the backstage area. On the PCW-Tron shows Stormm somewhat casually walking through- much different than him running through the crowd shortly earlier. Stormm can be heard shouting, “Where's he at? Where's he at?” as he continues to walk through the corridors. Not too long after, Stormm stops and a huge smile appears on his face. As the camera focuses down, it shows why Stormm is smiling- laid out is the PCW World Champion LoKi.
Next to LoKi is the PCW World Championship that Justin Michaels owns. Justin smirks and picks up the belt. The camera pans out a little to show “Grandmaster” Glyn Speight standing within view. Stormm steps over the World Champion and walks to Glyn before speaking.)
Justin Michaels: I knew LoKi would try another stunt like that. Good job. The check will be in the mail.
(And with that, the PCW-Tron clicks off.)
Match Six: Non-Title Singles Match
Grimm (Tag Team ©) vs. Heavy Metal (International ©)
Referee: Tyrone Little
Match Details: And here we are! The main event of the evening! Champion versus champion and I can't believe they're actually showing this one for free on cable television! The feud between Nacho Grande and Heavy Metal and the Brothers Gruesome has been simmering for the past month and it reaches a boiling point here tonight! Sadistic and Nacho opened the show by kicking the tar out of each other and this match will be no different!
Grimm is out first and it's no secret that the crowd isn't behind him. Regardless, he calmly strolls to the ring with the Tag Team Championship belt firmly fastened around his waist; the look on his face says he clearly knows something you don't know, and he ain't tellin'. The reigning PCW International Champion, the Whirling Dervish of Metal Mayhem, Heavy Metal makes his entrance next! The roar from the crowd is so loud you can hear them all the way down on 9th Street!
He hops out onto the stage landing in a wide power stance and looks out into the crowd. Do they want it? You bet your ass they do! There is an Eruption from the fans as he breaks into an Eddie Van Halen-esque air guitar solo; he most definitely does not use his championship belt for a guitar as that would most definitely spit in the face of the very essence of the air guitar! His music cuts when he enters the ring and there's a calm before the storm as the buzz begins to build in the stands.
Roth is the first to move. He quickly takes the middle of the ring and lays his belt on the canvas...daring the Lord of Misrule to cross. Never one to back away from a challenge, Grimm meets him in the middle of the ring, nose-to-nose, and lays his Tag Team Championship on top of the International Championship. The metaphor brings a wry smile to Metal's face, but the expression is short-lived as Phinehas strikes first with a headbutt! The fans begin booing but Grimm's ears hear nothing except "MUTILATE, MAIM, MURDER!"
Controlling most of the gruesome offense in the opening of the match, Grimm attempts to rip Roth limb from limb with a series of well-placed kicks and punches. The Abomination of Desolation connects with a rowdy reverse DDT, a sick Samoan drop, and a spectacular headbutt called the Sword of Heimdall, but none are able to keep Metal's shoulders on the mat. Grimm quickly switches his gameplan and locks in a claw hold to wear down his opponent.
Roth looks as if he's played his last power chord as his energy begins to fade. However, the stomping and cheering of the fans is able to give him that extra little boost and his boot starts shaking. Then his leg. His arms. Before long his whole body is pumping blood through his tired limbs and he works his way back to his feet. Grimm strengthens his grip, but there are no two ways about it: Heavy Metal is breaking the f*** out of this hold! Three elbows later and Roth has broken free of Grimm's gruesome grasp!
If things sound a bit louder it's because Heavy Metal's just turned the amp to eleven! Grimm attempts to continue his assault but a Jacob Roth Frankensteiner says otherwise! The dervish pounds away at the head of Grimm as the fans rejoice! Both men are back up and Phinehas goes for a clothesline, but only to be snapped to the mat after Metal ducks and connects with a crisp jumping neckbreaker! Metal goes for the cover but Grimm is out at two. Sensing that Grimm is nearly finished and going for the kill, Metal traps the horror's arms and pops him through the air with his patented Metalplex! Three seconds later and...!
...the match is still going after Grimm barely got the shoulder up. Grimm is slow to stand, but when he does Metal is waiting. Springboarding off the middle rope, Roth gets some massive air and hones in with a missile dropkick! In a ridiculous show of athleticism, Grimm connects with a dropkick of his own to the chin of the incoming International Champion and both men are down! The fans are on their feet as the move replays on the PCW-Tron a half dozen times from different angles. Trauma goes to commercial and when we return...
...Phinehas Grimm locks in a sleeperhold, but before he can execute the Lament Configuration Roth slips to the side and lifts the Crimson Demon into the air for a side belly-to-belly suplex. Grimm nimbly backflips out of it and elbows Roth in the back of the head. With his opponent staggered, Grimm lifts him into the air for his Foddershock wheelbarrow facebuster...but Metal wisely rolls through, his momentum sending Phinehas to the ropes. Roth leap frogs Grimm on the rebound, easily clearing him by at least two feet, and Phinehas hits the other side. As Phinehas bounces back Roth lifts off for one of his patented dropkicks...but Grimm puts on the breaks. The Lord of Misrule grabs Metal by the ankles and he lands hard on his back.
Pulling Metal to the center of the ring Grimm locks him and and slingshots him into the corner. Thanks to his incredible leaping ability, Roth is able to launch himself all the way to the second turnbuckle and springboard off. An unsuspecting Grimm walks right into the spinning headscissors crossface and the fans come to their feet!
Before Metal can take him to the ground Grimm is able to hook the top rope with his free arm. Metal tugs with all his might but the Destroyer-at-Noonday won't release the strand! Referee Little calls for the break but before the hold can be released the wiry Grimm horks Metal overhead...over the top rope! But Roth doesn't relinquish the hold and both men tumble over the top! Tyrone Little can't believe what he's seeing as Roth and Grimm land in a heap! Little has no choice but to begin the mandatory ten-count. One, two, three...neither man is moving...four, five, six...Roth is beginning to stir, and Grimm's not far behind...seven, eight, nine...
...Roth climbs to the ring apron and Grimm quickly joins him. As Metal attempts to climb through the ropes he receives a stiff elbow to the ribs, followed by a Russian leg sweep off the ring apron into the guardrail! Heads meet unforgiving steel and fans scatter as Tyrone Little makes the final count. Ten! At the 27 minute 33 second mark Heavy Metal and Phinehas Grimm fight to a double countout!
Winner(s): Heavy Metal & Grimm wrestle to a draw via double count-out
After The Match
Details: Jerry Andrews: These guys have taken each other to the limit and it doesn't look like they plan on stopping anytime soon!
(Both men are definitely smarting after that crash into the guardrail. The fans are still on their feet as Heavy Metal rams the Lord of Misrule's back into the guardrail on the outside of the ring. They are clearly exhausted from their brutal match as sweat pours from their battered bodies. Grabbing a fistful of Grimm's serpentine hair, Roth yards him up the aisle towards the back. The Abomination of Desolation retaliates with a pair of elbows to the bread basket. The brawl continues into the backstage area thanks to a Jacob Roth spear through the curtains!)
Jerry Andrews: This is getting out of hand! Security needs to pry these two apart before they kill each other!
Al Laiman: Turn the hoses on 'em!
(The fans watch on the PCW-Tron as the action continues to spill all over the catering area. There is a flash of motion as "The Phenom" Billy Sadistic flies into the picture with what looks to be a heavy brass statuette raised overhead! He brings the blunt instrument down hard across Roth's back and he goes down hard! Capitalizing on the misfortune of the Whirling Dervish of Metal Mayhem, the Horrors from Hangtown begin wailing on the International Champion! The boos are thunderous.)
Al Laiman: Things don't look good for PCW's reigning International Champion...
(Grimm and Sadistic each hook an arm and begin lugging Roth down the hallway, his boots dragging across the concrete. They don't get very far before the fast food inferno, Nacho Grande, blazes into the picture with a steel chair upside the head of Sadistic! The fans erupt like a volcano taco...only eighty-nine cents at participating Taco Bells!)
Jerry Andrews: Nacho Grande just crushed that one! Out of the park!
(Nacho raises the chair overhead but Grimm quickly tackles him into some storage crates before the chair can inflict further damage. Grande and Phinehas drag each other down the hallway knocking the snot out of each other all the while. Sadistic and Roth struggle to their feet and they battle down the hallway after Nacho and Grimm.)
Jerry Andrews: I have a feeling this won't end well...
(The four men brawl into the parking garage of the Pure Class Arena; clawing, scratching, biting. Metal drops Sadistic with a kick to the chops before dashing over to help Nacho. Grimm ducks a Nacho clothesline and spews a cloud of red mist into the eyes of the approaching Heavy Metal! The fans let out a unified gasp! Grimm strikes with a knee to Roth's washboard abs before hurling him into the back of what appears to be a waiting ambulance!)
Al Laiman: An ambulance? How fitting.
(Nacho clobbers Grimm, but Sadistic attacks from behind and drives the masked head of the luchador into the side of the vehicle. The Tag Team Champions quickly toss a dazed Nacho into the back of the ambulance with Metal and slam the doors shut. A lock and chain dangle at the ready from one of the door handles. How strange. Grimm deftly locks the chain as Sadistic slap the side of the vehicle twice.)
Jerry Andrews: I don't think that's an ambulance...
(The ignition turns and the engine fires up. Banging can be heard from inside the back of the vehicle but the chain won't budge. The driver quickly pokes his head out the driver's side window.)
Jeremy Bagwell: Oh, I'll take it from here, boys! Ba ha ha!!!
(The fans are shocked as Bagwell pulls back into the cab and flips a switch. A creepy, distorted jingle plays over the speakers of the...the ice cream truck? Shifting into gear, Bagwell smokes the tires and takes off across the garage. Sadistic's faces splits into a grin as Grimm gives a solemn wave. Rounding a pillar, Bagwell steers the accelerating ice cream truck right for the arena's power transformer!)
Jerry Andrews: Oh, God! He's gonna kill 'em!
(With the ice cream truck charging like a giant electric missile Bagwell opens the door and dives out onto the concrete where he rolls into a cluster of recycling bins. The brothers' eyes grow wide with excitement as the truck charges closer. Closer. CLOSER!)
Jerry Andrews: I can't watch!
