Early Life
Rick Majors has been involved with wrestling for most of his adult life. Despite his parents being divorced, he had a relatively well-off childhood. Majors enjoyed many of life's advantages as a child. He trained in Shotokan Karate at a young age and soon became a first degree black belt in the art. It was during his childhood that Majors discovered his love for professional wrestling. Majors spent his youth learning the ins and outs of the wrestling business, volunteering on at local wrestling shows and occasionally stepping into the ring after the shows to receive some training from some of the ring veterans.
In 1997, Majors used all the money he had to form a wrestling organization of his own - the Mega Wrestling Federation (MWF.) After the MWF shut down in 2000, he decided to train to become a professional wrestler himself. Despite being almost 30 years of age and never having wrestled in a competitive match, Majors found success in wrestling.
No Limits Championship Wrestling
He joined No Limits Championship Wrestling (NLCW) as Rick "The Impact" Majors and quickly won the promotion's cruiserweight championship. The NLCW went on a hiatus in 2003, but reopened in 2004 and Majors quickly regained the title that he had never lost. He went on to hold that championship for 42 weeks and become the longest reigning champion in company history (a record that was later tied by Isaac Reynolds, whose record-tying reign was stopped by Majors). After a brief run and a bitter falling out with the "Fallen Angelz" stable, Majors formed his own stable: Higher Authority. The dissolution of Higher Authority came when several of the members developed huge egos and the three remaining members - Chris Champion, Derrick Lambert and Rick Majors - became bitter rivals. In early 2005, during a "Suicide in Steel" match with Derrick Lambert, Majors suffered a serious neck injury that caused Majors to miss almost a year of in-ring action.
Majors returned in late 2005 to face Chris Champion in a match at the NLCW's marquee event: Slamfest. Majors was victorious in that contest and he quietly stepped away from the ring once again to continue to rest his injuries.
In late 2006 Majors returned to the NLCW, but he suffered a second serious neck injury at the hands of rival Dillon Durst. Majors once again missed almost a year of action. He returned to the ring in December 2006 to face Durst at that year's Slamfest, but was defeated. Despite the setback, he remained an active wrestler and he unified the NLCW's Cruiserweight and Heavyweight Championships at Slamfest 2007, becoming the promotion's first Undisputed Champion. Majors announced his retirement in May 2008. He wrestled what looked to be his last match in an eight-man tag match at NLCW Extreme Consequencez 2008. In that match he was pinned by rival Isaac Reynolds. Majors received a standing ovation after the match.
In mid-2009 his then-wife Kelly was involved in a very serious car accident when her car was struck by a drunk driver. Majors had been touring with the NLCW to promote a DVD based on his career at the time. He felt extremely guilty about not being with Kelly. She was placed into a medically-induced coma while she recovered. Majors sat by her bedside every day hoping that she would wake up. Eventually he could not take being alone anymore. As he had no real friends he could trust outside of Kelly, he returned to active competition in the NLCW in hopes of finding a place where he could feel at home. However, Majors was a changed man. He resented the industry for causing him to be away from his wife but needed it to give himself a sense of purpose and belonging.
He found success despite his fragile mental state, winning the promotion's "Road to Slamfest" tournament and earning himself a shot at the NLCW Undisputed World Championship at Slamfest 2009. He won the title, defeating his friend Chris Champion and leaving Champion seriously injured.
The NLCW shut down in late 2009, with Rick Majors as its final champion. Majors then returned to his wife's bedside. She eventually woke from the coma in early 2010, but she required 24-hour medical care and, later, intense rehab sessions. By 2012 Kelly was able to walk and speak once again with minor difficulty.
While Majors wished that he was strong enough to stay by her side forever, but still felt strangely drawn to the world of professional wrestling. He has struggled with these two competing worlds for many years now and it has damaged him physically, emotionally and mentally.
Pure Class Wrestling
Majors made his PCW debut in the 2012 Deadly Rumble match. He had a strong showing, nearly winning the match after it appeared that he had eliminated Grimm. However, only one of Grimm's feet touched the floor and he returned to throw Majors out of the match while he was celebrating.
The loss damaged Majors' already fragile ego. While he came into PCW looking for a fresh start, the setback brought back all kinds of negative memories for him. Majors then set out to destroy professional wrestling, getting darker and more removed from reality as time went on. When that plan didn't work, and he didn't achieve any success in PCW, he became very depressed. At one point, he even begged Grimm to "finish him off" during a match.
Majors was an emotional wreck and the situation was made worse when his wife Kelly asked for a separation and then a divorce. She went on record as stating that she would be okay with Majors wrestling if it made him happy, but she didn't want her marriage to be ignored for something that made Rick miserable.
Rick Majors seemed to be at a turning point when he made it to the semi-finals of the 2014 Icemann Invitational Tournament after earning himself a spot in the tournament by winning the Last Chance Battle Royal. However, Murdoc interfered in his semi-final match with LoKi, costing Majors the match by disqualification.
Emotional and Health Troubles and Hiatus
Rick Majors was found unconscious in a washroom stall by a PCW security officer about an hour after his match with LoKi. An empty bottle of vodka and a bottle of prescription painkillers were spotted in the washroom where Majors was found. There was also a blood present on the restroom floor. An official statement, issued several months after the incident, stated that Majors had been hospitalized due to his injuries, that the "nature of these injuries will remain confidential at this point in time" and that Majors had been transferred to a rehabilitation facility following his hospital stay.
Majors received both physical and psychiatric treatment and rehabilitation.
Months later, Majors returned to PCW, but in a completely unofficial (and illegal) capacity, attacking competitors and PCW officials without provocation on several occasions. PCW pressed charges and Majors pleaded guilty to several charges including breaking and entering and assault. He was ordered to receive additional psychological counselling and required to attend court-mandated anger management classes.
In April 2015, Rick Majors returned to PCW as an active competitor, competing in the 2015 Last Chance Battle Royal. Based on his appearance and performance, he was in no shape to compete. He wore a hooded sweatshirt and jeans for the match and had a thick, unkempt beard. He was eliminated in seconds by Kristoff Michaelson. He was not seen again for months.
At Trauma 189, in April 2016, a person in a hood interfered with the actions of Baby Jenks and later the Shaw Brothers backstage. This happened again at Trauma 190. At that show, the person was captured and uunmasked live on television. It was Rick Majors. On the next show, Majors announced that he was returning to PCW in order to "heal" the group of Alexa Black, Baby Jenks, and the Shaw Brothers (known as "The Darkness.") He was attacked by the group and left in the ring. On the following Trauma, Majors spoke to The Darkness again. They again attacked. This time he fought back and declared that he was going to "end The Darkness and allow the light in."
Return to Wrestling
Majors competed in his first singles match in almost two years getting a victory over Baby Jenks at Living a Legacy VIII in May 2016. He was attacked by the other members of the Darkness following the match. A few weeks later, he was kidnapped and tortured by the group, disappearing from television for quite some time afterward. He returned at the July 2016 Icey Awards, assisting "Dollface" Kelli Starr as she was about to be attacked by The Darkness. Majors and Starr would team up to battle against The Darkness, occasionally being joined by Nathan Saniti, who had a long-standing relationship with Starr.
Majors would then go on to have his greatest success in PCW when he won the 2016 Deadly Rumble, last eliminating Dan Fierce. He continued this success as he helped lead the team of Dan Fierce, Lantlas, Kelli Starr and N. Saniti to victory in a ten-person elimination tag match against the team of Grimm, Seromine, Sadistic, Alexa Black & Cory Steel. Majors was the sole survivor in that match. That same night he spoke with Dan Fierce, letting him know that he wasn't confident in his ability to win the PCW Championship from Murdoc, despite his Deadly Rumble victory giving him that opportunity. Fierce agreed to face Majors one-on-one for the number one contendership. The first match between the two was ruled a no-contest after a huge fireball exploded in the ring. Murdoc was suspected to be responsible for it. In the rematch, Dan Fierce was victorious, earning a shot at the PCW World Championship. On the following Trauma, Majors would state that he was happy for Fierce and that he felt he was "in a good place now." Fierce would go on to defeat Murdoc for the title.
At the 2016 Winter Icey Awards, Majors would be named "Breakout Star."
On Trauma 206 in February 2017, Majors would lose a non-title match against PCW International Champion Seromine. The following episode, he would team up with Kelli Starr once again to face Seromine and Destiny. The two would lose as Majors was once again pinned by Seromine. At PCW Mass Destruction in March 2017, both Majors and Starr would challenge Seromine in a triple threat match for his International Title. While, at first, it seemed like Majors and Starr had decided to take out Seromine during the match, the two would eventually come to blows. It appeared that Majors had the match - and his first PCW title - won when he hit Dollface with the Major Impact. However, he would then back away from her, allowing Seromine the opportunity to hit the Ashes to Ashes and retain his title. Majors and Seromine would then hug in the ring.
Gabriel
Rick Majors was "reborn" as Gabriel in a ceremony on the Thursday April 13th, 2017 edition of Trauma. That same night, he would team up with Seromine to defeat the team of Nathan Saniti and "Dollface" Kelli Starr. The transformation was more than just a name change, as he abandoned the moveset that Rick Majors had used for decades and instead began to focus on a more submission-based offense.
As Gabriel, he would win his first PCW championship when he defeated Non Compos Mentis, Alexandra Tamora and Alexa Black in a fatal fourway match for the Underground Title at Trauma 215. He would then go on to defeat Nathan Saniti for the North American Title in August 2017 at Return to Glory VIII. Gabriel would be stripped of the Underground Title as a result. He would then lose the North American Title via pinfall at Trauma 218 after Kyle Shane cashed in the title opportunity he earned from winning The Icemann Invitational Tournament. Gabriel would regain that title at Deadly Intentions VIII.
That same night, he and Seromine would be the final two men in the 2017 Deadly Rumble match. Gabriel initially tried to eliminate himself rather than face his "Lord," but Seromine talked him into remaining in the match, only to quickly eliminate him.
Gabriel would lose the North American Title to Justin "Stormm" Michaels at Collision Course VI.
Gabriel and Seromine teamed up in a tornado tag team elimination match inside an enclosed steel cage on the Trauma 7th anniversary show. They would be victorious in the match, but Gabriel suffer a concussion in the match, leading to his elimination. After Seromine was announced as the sole survivor of the match, he was attacked by Nathan Saniti. Gabriel could not intervene, due to his injury. He remained out of action for some time due to the concussion.
At Mass Destruction VIII, Seromine was scheduled to face Brenna Gordon in a match. However, before the match started, Gabriel entered the ring and stated that he had ensured that Brenna Gordon "will not be bothering [Seromine] anymore" as way to "make things right" and "prove [his] worth" to Seromine following his recent setbacks. Seromine would respond by hitting Gabriel with Ashes to Ashes and leaving him in the ring.
At Living a Legacy X in June 2018, Tyler Scott - a former colleague of Rick Majors in the NLCW - would speak to Gabriel backstage about potentially being "saved" by Seromine. Gabriel responded that "The Lord will approach you if He wishes." During the Icemann Invitational Tournament matches taking place that night, Gabriel would find himself facing Seromine in a one-on-one match. Gabriel initially did not want to participate in the match, but he would eventually fight back, nearly winning the contest before Seromine intentionally got himself disqualified. Gabriel would go on to lose to Grimm in the tournament final. That same night, Seromine would appear and walk Tyler Scott away from the ring following his loss to Kyle Shane.
Gabriel would then involve himself in a brief feud against Gerard Angelo, ultimately losing the final match between the two. However, during this feud, Gabriel and Seromine seemed to mend their relationship, teaming up at Return to Glory IX to defeat the team of Angelo and Justin "Stormm" Michaels. That same night, Seromine's ranks grew stronger as he welcomed Holden Ross (son of Rick Majors' former NLCW colleague Frank Merritt) into the fold.
On Trauma 239, on September 27th, 2018, Seromine would face Kyle Shane in a "Faith versus Faith" match. If Shane lost, he would join Seromine. If Seromine lost, he would admit that Kyle Shane was right shave his head. Seromine lost. After the match, Gabriel viciously attacked Shane.
Both Gabriel and Seromine would challenge Kyle Shane for the PCW World Championship at Deadly Intentions IX. During the match, Gabriel would frequently avoid attempting to pin Kyle Shane in favour of allowing Seromine a chance to win the title. Eventually, with Seromine down and out of the ring, Gabriel would attempt a cover, only to have the pinfall broken up by Seromine. Shane would win the match by pinning Seromine.
On Trauma 240 (All Hallows' Eve) Gabriel and Seromine would team up to face Kyle Shane and Justin "Stormm" Michaels. During the match, Seromine would tell Gabriel that he had everything under control and ask for the two to pray. As Seromine bowed his head, he was kicked in the stomach and hit with a double underhook DDT: The Major Impact.
Rick Majors' Return
On Trauma 241 (Thursday November 8th, 2018) Rick Majors would return. He would state that he attacked Seromine "at his lowest point" just like Seromine had taken advantage of his lowest point years ago. Holden Ross would interrupt Majors, claiming loyalty to Seromine who would then attack Majors from behind.
At Collision Course 7, Majors would attack Holden Ross during his match against Tyler Scott (who had refused to remain allied with Seromine). Majors helped Scott win the match, leaving a baseball bat in the ring. He would then leave the arena, refusing to speak with PCW reporter Shane Dodge.

Entrance Song: "Wastelands" by Linkin Park
Entrance Description:
The lights go out. The crowd cheers instinctively before eventually falling silent. Suddenly the sound of guitars pierce through the silence. "Wastelands" by Linkin Park begins to boom throughout the arena, the lights in the building flashing along with the drum beat of the song. Then, from the entrance way, steps Rick Majors.
Wearing a black denim military jacket, a grey t-shirt, and jeans, Rick Majors pauses for a moment and looks down briefly. He then looks up and starts to make his way to the ring.
"This is war with no weapons,
Marching with no stepping,
Murder with no killing,
Illing every direction."
Majors walks slowly, looking out around the arena as he continues his way down to the ring.
The lights in the arena burst on fully as the song's chorus hits.
In the wastelands of today,
When there's nothing left to lose,
And and there's nothing more to take,
But you force yourself to choose,
In the wastelands of today,
When tomorrow disappears
When the future slips away,
And your hope turns into fear,
In the wastelands of today.
Majors climbs the ring steps and pauses. He turns towards the crowd, standing on the ring apron for a moment before entering the ring. Majors stands in the centre of the ring, looking out towards the crowd, awaiting his opponent/start of the match.
Wrestling Style: Striking, submissions, martial arts, brawling
(While Majors used a fast-paced, high-risk martial arts style when he was younger, he then transitioned into a more manic brawling style as he aged. After being reborn as Gabriel, he began to focus on a more submission-based offense. His current style is a hybrid of Gabriel's submission moves and Majors' brawling and striking.)
