I don't know if I'm late to this information or not, but according to this article by ScreenRant, Marvel is planning on killing off Wolverine for good. This is a big change to the entire Marvel landscape if it holds true. Official Cover Do you think this is a good idea or a bad one? Do you think Wolverine's death will be permanent? Let us know, below.

Someone posted a picture on Tom's facebook of a villain beating the shit out of Wolverine, and saying a line about "Your secret to coming back time and time again isn't your regenerative powers, it's your popularity." He won't be dead long, but it'll be a badass series for sure.

Give Deadpool credit, he's not wrong there.
Also given how many popular characters Marvel have killed off over the last decade or two who have come back, there's no way Wolverine is staying dead. Especially with Fox movies planning a sequel to this year's X-men movie and a 3rd solo Wolverine movie as well, Marvel would be foolish not to have some kind of Wolverine in the comics when those drop.
Of course, that's assuming he actually kill him off. With the loss of healing factor a little while ago, this story seems to have been an obvious build up (especially since I read that the current storyline is called "three months to die") - It seems a little too obvious for me and somehow I think this might be a little bit of a swerve, that the Death of Wolverine is more a metaphorical one, and Logan himself will still be around.
Still, it would be interesting to see how Marvel would cope, especially their X-men lines, if Wolverine wasn't a possible option for a team member.

He lost his healing factor? So now he's just a short guy with keen senses? And shouldn't his old age catch up with him and turn him to dust?
I do not approve.

Only Deadpool can get away with a comment like that. Coolest power in the Marvel Universe is knowing that you are a fictional character.
Logan will return.

He lost his healing factor? So now he's just a short guy with keen senses? And shouldn't his old age catch up with him and turn him to dust? Since his healing factor healed the effects of natural aging like any other wound or disease Logan may have been effected with over the course of his life, no it shouldn't suddenly catch up to him. All his wounds have healed like any normal humans could, just at a rate far more rapidly than anybody else, and coupled with a natural pain suppressant, he's able to survive things that would normally kill people from shock or bleeding out. But since they are healed naturally, they wouldn't revert back to being injured now that he's lost his healing abilities. Its the same with age, while his healing factor would have compensated and healed or generally slowed down the effects of ageing on him, it was done naturally, so the removal of the healing factor wouldn't remove all that's done. Instead I'd have said he'd age at a normal human rate from his equivalently physical age now (which I would personally guess to be a very physically fit 40-50 year old, but that's just personal theory).

Why/how did they take away his healing factor? I don't like him as well now.

I didn't read the story itself, but looking at Wikipedia, He got infected with an "Intelligent Virus" which originated in the Microverse. His Healing Factor managed to cure it, but the after effects seemed to have shut that part of his mutant ability off.

He'll be dead a couple issues, or for a moment or two in some panels. He's a main character in too many books at the moment for him to stay dead for all too long. Not to mention, he's arguably among their most popular (if not the most,) character/s.
